Not great, shady upgrade practice, and spiders. I am really disappointed and frustrated with my stay at Emory Conference Center Hotel. I reserved a room at this hotel to attend a conference nearby. My travel requires me to request government rates for billing purposes. ECCH took my reservation over the phone. At that time, I requested a government rate room. They had a room and I made the reservation. However, they subsequently upgraded my room to an end room, which carried an upgrade charge and exceeded my government rate cap. I stayed there without knowing of the upgrade.

Unfortunately, I didn't notice the overcharge until I went to file my reimbursement paperwork the day after departing. When I called the help desk to get assistance with correcting my bill, I was told rather rudely that my room was upgraded and I should have noticed this when I checked out. They said, and I quote: "That's on you." I've also included a copy of the receipt they gave me. Notice it says nothing about an upgrade--just an inflated charge. Government rate was $159 at the time of my stay. I called several times and left several messages, but to no avail. As a result, I absorbed the extra cost.

I usually operate from a position of trust, so when companies like this take advantage of that, I go out of my way to make sure others know about it. My upgraded room also came with living Halloween decorations, i.e. live spiders and webs that covered my room's entrance. I've included the pictures. Originally, I took them to share with my wife, since I was mildly annoyed that one of their staff members pointed it out to me, said they would notify management, and two days later (when I checked out) it was still there. Obviously, I'm much more annoyed, since I learned I paid extra for it. Another bonus I got with my room was an already opened coffee packet, yuck!

If you stay at Emory Conference Center Hotel, watch your bill and bring something to take down the webs, otherwise, "it's on you."

Great hotel. I ended up staying here after my reservation was cancelled somewhere else. I am so glad I did. This was a much needed stay. The hotel was very large and clean. The front staff was very friendly even at 3am. I loved all of the seating in the lobby. The lobby and Hall is huge. There is a pool table, couches, a restaurant, and much more. A short walk and there are a few restaurants to choose from, though they did close earlier than normal but that's okay. I highly recommend that if you are in the area please stay at the Emory conference center and hotel.

I was here for a luncheon, so I can only comment on the food. The buffet was good. The options were abundant and from different cuisines. You do have to pay for parking and there isn't valet or validation.

Booked a king room, but got two queen beds. I contacted them and they said they didn't have any way to help. Found the toilet full of toilet paper / unflushed, which was pretty gross. The beds were comfortable, and the lobby was great. The location was amazing.

Great hidden hotel. Clean rooms with lots of space and a comfy bed. The staff was very friendly all the way to the smiling maids. Hallways can be a little confusing but once you go to your room once your good. Lots of outdoor areas to sit and hang out.

Our stay was fabulous! Lovely staff, exceptional service, and beautiful accommodations! We came in town for the Peach Bowl and couldn't have had an easier time getting to and from the Georgia Dome. If you're visiting ATL but don't want to stay directly in the city, this is an excellent choice! We will be back!

Beautiful hotel, very spacious, with lovely grounds. I was here for an ABA conference and also had the opportunity to jog around the area. I m typically a Marriott fan but this place exceeded my expectations.

We had a lovely stay at the Emory Conference Center recently as we visited our son who is an Emory student during his spring break! The Hotel was clean and inviting. We stayed in March and in the evening there was a lovely roaring fire in the fireplace! Very homey, it reminded me of a spa I've visited in the Berkshires! The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We made use of the shuttle to give us a ride to dinner one evening, very convenient. We didn't eat in the Hotel, but we did stop for a cocktail one evening. The bar was friendly and a good value. Our room had nice amenities. Overall we had a great experience and plan to stay here during our son's graduation in 2016! The location is ideal...

My first time coming here was for an awards ceremony that I nominated someone for. The catering was the only reason for the 4-star. Otherwise, easy to find, good wifi, nice parking lot, very easy Lyft ride, $6.
Staff was very nice indeed.

The staff and accommodations are exceptional. It is less than five minutes from Emory University Hospital system, with convenient shuttle service if you should need it. I would also like to express my sincerest thanks to everyone with this review...
This was not a leisure stay, it was specific ...to be near my sister at Emory Heart and Valve Hospital during one of the most difficult times my family has had to experience.Their professionalism, their knowledge to help us navigate the area, and their genuine compassion, truly helped us get through this time.
Ebone, and all the front desk staff, were extremely knowledgeable and more-than-diligent in their efforts to ensure that we were able to change our room accommodations to include my elderly parents (last minute) with the least amount of stress. Daphne, the manager on duty, also made time for us. She was empathetic, assuring us that she personally amended several initial reservation charge mistakes.
If you book at this hotel, you will also have the unique benefit of Mr. Watson to help you with the specifics of your amenities, shuttle accommodations, directions to wherever you must go in or outside the hotel---you-name-it. Daron, who provided shuttle service to and from the hospital for my parents on one occasion did so with a kindness and care that we are extremely thankful for.
Every one in the dining room (a beautiful and peaceful place to eat) took the time to converse with us, laugh with us and made us feel at ease with their kindness and graciousness.
Dining in the "Club room" was also a blessing as we met Brandy, miss Wanda Alanna and Mr. D'Souza. They also provided us with exceptional service, patiently helped us chose from the menu and made our evening less anxious....less sad. Brandy for your hugs and heartfelt words.... thank you from my heart.
Our room was spacious, clean, smelled wonderful, and had everything we needed, with comfortable beds and a perfect-sized bathroom.
If you are staying in this area, please consider this facility as it and it's staff are a win-win- and MORE.

Great rate considering. In one of the nicer areas of Northern Atlanta and great rooms. These rooms are large and some have great balconies as well parking is close and easy to access without having to use the valet.it is absolutely perfect for patients and family of patie ts at emory hospital. Yoh can walk there from the hotel as well as other local dining options and few shopping areas. No better place for a trip to emory I door heated pool and hot tub added perks and are always nice when I go. I've stayed at least 6 to 8 times have t been disappointed yet

The first room they booked is in was disgusting, room 3342. Do not stay in that nasty room! When we opened the door there was some sort of industrial dehumidifier in the middle of the floor. It was not cool in the room. They came to remove the dehumidifier & we went out to grab a bite to eat. When we returned to the hotel, it was clear why that dehumidifier was there. The room smelled awful & I noticed mold on the vent! They did change our room without question & issued a $50 credit as well. My thoughts are that if there was a different room available, why would you even place anyone in a room that needed an industrial dehumidifier to try to defunk the area?

We had a really good week-long stay here in early 2017 before moving out of the country. The rooms were very comfortable. The pool was fantastic for my children, and we all loved the buffet breakfasts each morning. The hotel is in a great area, but sits back off the main road so that you feel more secluded and private. Restaurants, a grocery store, and a nature trail are all within walking distance.

This hotel is #1!!! Their rooms are clean and beautiful and their staff are kind! My husband was at Emory University Hospital and I had to make a last minute reservation. The staff was very accommodating and even made getting to my room convenient to reach from the parking deck because they knew I was alone and didn't have anyone to help get my luggage. Excellent!

I was very impressed with this clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel. The setting is lovely and the staff were courteous and professional. The spanking new neighborhood (Emory Point) features plenty of restaurants and shops and it is an easy walk to campus and the Emory Clinic. I highly recommend it.

I had a very positive experience while staying here. A beautiful place with many areas to socialize. In walking distance to restaurants. The staff is amazing at the front desk. Very welcoming and knowledgeable. My family also went to the breakfast buffet which I thought was the best breakfast buffet I have been to served by a hotel. Plenty of fresh fruit, bread station, made to order omelets/waffles/french toast, and more. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Atlanta and be a few minutes away from downtown.

We did not pre-plan to stay here. We were coming into Atlanta to visit a friend on a drive back to Chicago, and rolled into town in the wee hours of the morning. Unlike every other hotel we tried, they were willing to provide us a room. Price was a bit higher than the others but I feel like it was a good value.

Pros:
*The rooms were clean and comfortable.

*They let us push back check out so we could not be rushed in getting on the road. We were so tired.

*The pool was amazing! The temperature was perfect. Lots of towels. Spa...I could have stayed in it forever. ADDED BONUS: Very handicapped friendly - had stairs and a ladder to choose from as well as a lift chair to get in and out of the pool AND spa. (My eldest sister is wheelchair bound so I have a deep appreciation for this exceptional effort to make it easier for those who need these thing to enjoy the amenities. Very rare indeed)

*Staff was friendly. Concierge helped me finally figure out where the pool was and how to get back to my room - I got lost going to both more than once.

CONS:
*The layout of the hotel is a bit confusing. I had to ask several times which was to go, and an elevator switch is required between parking and rooms.

*Parking was a bit steep (but I am from Chicago so not THAT steep ha ha) and felt really closed in and tight, but it wasn't full so less worrisome.

*Flooring surrounding the pool got VERY slippery once wet. Had one of the babies with us take a bit of a spill, but no major injuries.

*Cell signal got really spotty inside. Partially and largely on my provider, surely, but worth noting if you are cell dependent that it can get troublesome

If we come back to Atlanta in the future, we would happily stay here again. Definitely plan for more than one night!

Beautiful art deco interior design. Makes you feel as though you are surrounded by forest though you are in the middle of the city, with huge windows from floor to ceiling. Comfortable conference space with ample seating. Friendly staff and delicious food!

We had a large corporate event here in 2017 that was great. However, we had a meeting yesterday there and they really need to maintain rooms and update. Several hotel rooms smelled mildewed, as well as the common areas surrounding meeting spaces. Staff and service onsite was great! Food was just ok. Will most likely not hold another event here unless it s renovated.
