Embassy Suites Williamsburg Review

Outstanding, great service, room super clean and would stay here every chance i get.

Nice stay. Rooms are little smaller than other Embassy hotels but would still recommend.

Really like this hotel, stayed here twice and it s become our go-to hotel for Williamsburg trips.

Hotel and rooms are very clean.
Rooms are big and have everything you need.
Complex had a good layout.
Excellent complimentary breakfast in morning.
Two-hour complimentary happy hour (select drinks) in evening.
Parking is good with convenient side entrance.

Only area they need to improve on is room housekeeping during stay. Sometimes they don t show up until very late (after 5pm) if at all.

Good, clean. A bit crowded at breakfast. Service was good.

Not impressed with this go around. The room we reserved was to to have a king bed, the room we were assigned had two queen beds. Discussed the issue with the front desk, we were told don't know how this happened, and had to wait a half hour for a room with a king bed to be cleaned. The evening free food consisted of carrots, broccoli, ranch dip, and goldfish crackers. Not what we had during our last visit. Additionally people were using the drop off/loading area/valet area as a parking lot. This made it extremely difficult to drop off your luggage.

The rooms are nice, well appointed, but the air conditioning struggles to move air in the room. It took all night to bring the air down to a comfortable temperature, and because the air circulation is poor, it still isnt helping much. Room service was alright, but they asked me how I wanted my burger cooked and if I wanted fries or onion rings. Had they not asked, I'd have been fine with what I got, bit my order of 'Medium' with onion rings came up to the room 'Well' and with fries. It wasn't at all worth the expense, really. Breakfast was fantastic. Huge spread, made to order, and free drinks at the bar between 5 and 7:30pm.

Accommodations for a clean, staff was very professional and courteous, and the breakfast in the morning was spectacular. ( excellent, excellent breakfast ....omelets made-to-order in all. )

Everything is okay (food, nice staff), except for the tiny bathroom that doesn't drain well, so you have to stand in the dirty water that you just washed your body in. The bathroom is too small, even my little kids complained that it is too small. I had much better experience with Embassy Suites hotels in other locations.

Staff was nice, but room could have been cleaner. Some old makeup was on the counter and hair was on the walls of the shower.

Very old fashioned hotel that doesn't live up to the Embassy brand. Staff was pleasant, so that is not the issue. Elevators are really slow. The hospitality area is not adequate for the number of rooms. Generally disappointing.

Excellent meeting rooms and wonderful breakfast spread!

Clean and spacious rooms. Comfortable sofa in the sitting area as well. Bathroom was clean. Shower was small but adequate.

Our stay came with a free breakfast that was filling.

Overall we would stay here again.

Bathroom was so dirty had to switch rooms. If you have young kids going to bed before 8-9pm. Don't get a room next to the pool. It doesn't close till 10pm. The noise is like your at the pool yourself. Breakfast was great and omelet lady was amazing. Bar staff and restuarant manger were amazing.

Great, clean and comfortable everything we ask for in a hotel.

We booked this hotel for our 5 year anniversary weekend.

Saying we were disappointed is probably the understatement of the year. Anything/everything that could go wrong did. The Hotel was under renovations and we had no idea! The Bar was closed so the put two kegs on a luggage cart and said Happy Hour! The thermostat in the "Newly Renovated" room they put us in was broke. 2-1/2 hours later still not fixed but they did move us too another room...that just happened to smell like an ASHTRAY.

Upon check out, the manager on duty did offer $50.00 off our bill. But honestly, after all of this, I felt like they should have done more. If it were just one of those things, I could see the discount, but considering this stay was a calamity of events (seriously, we felt like we were on a TV show getting Punk'd) I feel like they should have picked up the tab for the entire stay or offered a voucher for a free stay another time.

An email to customer service (corporate) only gets forwarded to the local property for response so don't think that will help you if you are not happy with your stay.

Good was great, staff wonderful. Chef station in the morning had made to order eggs. Also had egg whites. Food was really tasty. Cookies and brownies were good. Room was very big and beds comfy.

The hotel is welcoming and you can't beat the omelet bar!

Stayed here for multiple days during a family vacation to the DC/Virginia area. Great staging area for seeing Yorktown, Jamestown, Williamsburg. Friendliest ES we have been to, they even remembered the type of omelet my son enjoyed from one day to the next and served hot, homemade cinnamon rolls to the tables on occasion. Loved our visit!

Really nice rooms, good breakfast and evening snacks/drinks. Highly recommend.

Rooms and facilities are gorgeous and amazing. Not all staff were helpful or enthusiastic.

Clean, comfortable suites, free cooked to order breakfast

I usually have a very outstanding experience at any Embassy Suites establishment, but this time I paid way more than usual $245/night... and the room smelled very strongly like mildew and the linens looked dingy, the bedding wasn't neat and looked thrown together or already slept in... it was a very disappointing experience. The rooms were decorated nicely, but were smaller than what I am used to at an embassy suites hotel.

When we realized that we were going to miss the happy hour from 4:30-5:30, we went to the manager to see if he could do anything for us. We ended up with two cards for 2 beers on the house. Great manager made a great experience

Smaller rooms than most Embassy Suites I've stayed at before. Modern interior. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Excellent selection for breakfast. More drinks were offered during the complimentary drink period than I'd expected. Very friendly staff. Would stay again.

Very dimly lit room with bed bug infestation. I am still scratching . The only positive things are the breakfast and house keeping service.The breakfasts cooks are great and house keepers are very helpful and courteous.

The hotel is very old with watermark stains near the air vent. The evening front desk personnel sometimes don't answer guest phone calls for questions. They indicated that it was due to a high volume of guests checking in/out of the hotel. Regarding food service, the plates were always dirty and unclean. The cooks cough over the food while cooking. The shower door doesn't remain closed while taking a shower. The peephole cover was broken. Bugs flying around inside of the hotel rooms.
Housekeeping was really good and excellent. I always had clean sheets and they were very nice and accomodating. The front desk personnel Danielle was always very nice and helpful.

Rooms and common areas clean. Staff was polite and courteous. Breakfast was excellent. A very pleasant stay at the hotel will come back.

The front desk clerk was great and attentive... The chef on duty was polite and very helpful of suggestions on the menu and even the security guard on duty was attentive to accommodating us with any issues... I would vist again... Beautiful experience...

Stayed here with a field trip. Rooms were mostly clean and service was overall good.

The only reason I gave three stars was due to the front desk NOT honoring our reservation made 5 months prior and reconfirmed 6 days before arrival. I will be contacting Hilton Honors to resolve the issue as the front desk downgraded us from a King Suite to the lowest double bed suite. Other than that, housekeeping was wonderful and the made to order omelettes we're to die for.

Great hotel and the breakfast is a decent spread. Try to make the open bar

Very nice atreum, bar and breakfast and dinner area. Managers reception was very nice...the crispy pita was excellent. The gym was good with free weights , benches, cable machine, pull ups and cardio equipment. Building is older but the rooms and inside have been nicely renovated. 2nd time visiting this location, I'll be back.

Nice rooms with all the amenities you need. Excellent customer service, breakfast, and complementary drinks. Could not recommend this enough for people who want to enjoy their stay at a hotel.

I liked the breakfast and the service of the manager, as well as the good employees.

Room was extremely hot, A/C unit was not working properly. When we tried to reach out to front desk to let them know, we discovered the room had no telephone service. Maintenance was kind, tried to fix unit but could not. Room remained hot and intolerable the rest of night. I tried showering before I left at 5:30 AM because I couldn t take it anymore. Water was scalding hot, absolute no cold water to counter the burning hot water. So no A/C, no phone service, no shower, resulting in no sleep prior to the 9 hour drive I had. Completely unacceptable. Hilton s disregard in correcting this situation will definitely impact my decision on choosing this brand again.

We had to stay in a room with a broken thermostat and it was literally 80 degrees inside the room. All of the phones inside the room did not work. We called with our cellphones and the issue didn't get fixed until 9am the next morning. Even though they taped everything saying the room was "Lysol Sanitized" the bathroom was still dirty and there were used wash clothes left in our room. It was a horrible 1st impression for me and the management there made me look down upon the Hilton line of hotels.

We got a non smoking room that someone clearly smoked in, but they were very accommodating and we had a new room in a matter of minutes. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. They were very helpful in getting us extra blankets. Breakfast was delicious and the staff seemed to go out of their way to be friendly. Only complaint is that everyone in our party who showered in the morning could not get hot water. Out of three bedrooms, all three rooms had cold showers. Hopefully that was.just a temporary thing because besides that everything was great.

The ambience was very nice here. The rooms were clean. However, the beds were like sleeping on a slab of wood and the air conditioning was not accurate at all. We had it at 66 and it felt like it was over 70 and extremely muggy in the room. I didn't see breakfast in the morning. I also called the front desk about some channels not working on the television and their response "well maintenance knows and they reset something, sorry its not working. Is there anything else I can help with?" What kind of answer is that? Disappointed in this stay to say the least.

Super nice hotel. One of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had at a hotel!

The housekeeping lady knocked on the door aggressively at 9.30 in the morning even though I got confirmed for late check-out when I booked the room. An hour later, someone opened/unlocked the door, and tried coming in without announcing themselves. I was naked in the bathroom and was shocked. We were lucky that we put out the metal bar to stop the door from opening. This is the worst experience ever staying at the hotel. I asked the front desk, Chris, to let the manager know what happened, but no one called to follow up.

Place was great. Free breakfast until 9:30. Very convenient location to Williamsburg, Jamestown and Busch Gardens.

Dusty to the point I could write in it, water left in the coffee maker, streaked mirrors, sheet left on fold out couch and food left underneath it. At least we didn t have the moldy smell and water damage that 2 rooms down from us did.
Five stars for breakfast, though.

Although the rooms opens up to a middle courtyard, we found our room VERY QUIET. This is always a plus to find. Room was very clean and the staff was pleasant. Great location as it is not far from both Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg.

Service was pleasant. Air conditioning had issues in the lobby and in our hotel room.

Hotel was nicer than expected. Breakfeast was great. Not just some cheap hotel that calls their cereal "breakfeast". They have eggs, omlets, pancakes. Etc. 10/10

The place has been recently remodeled, so it's looks great. The room was great, service was good and the breakfast buffet is great to, especially if you have a large family. Ventilation needs works, stayed in a non smoking room but was on a smoking floor, so whenever anyone smoked the smell came into our room causing us great discomfort.

worst hotel stay I have had in years .. got to the hotel I'm for which we looked a king room with a pull out and they had given our room to someone else we ended up havi g to settle for two doubles ..we was forced to stay in this hotel as the tournament our family member was their for required us to stay in their selected hotels and it was too late to re-book ..

A complimentary evening open bar / hot snacks - with quality bar brands. I drank Long Island Ice Teas for several happy hours, before crawling to my room.

A half hour pool soak the next morning, followed by a 2 hour breakfast buffet (every standard breakfast item that I personally could name, including design your own omelettes) - and no hangover.

A two room suite, each room with a large screen digital TV, makes sharing a suite with fellow travelers tolerable.

An in house Pokestop, reachable from my room - and several convenient nearby Pokegyms - provided additional entertainment / exercise.

If I were independently wealthy, this is where I would be whenever possible.

It's a brilliant stay with many things to do including going to old Williamsburg and shopping at the outlets.

The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. Happy hour was great and so was breakfast. My biggest issue is the room I got was on the back side of the building where there is a huge light up "Embassy suites " sign that is so bright at night it lit up my whole room making it hard to sleep. Even with the curtains drawn it permeated through the edges and was extremely bright. If they would turn the sign off after a certain time it would be great. See picture (unfortunately I didn't take the picture at night) I did however find the staff to be very nice and accommodating especially the woman named DJ behind the bar.

The hotel is in a central location that makes it easy to get to several areas. The rooms were fantastic and at a very affordable rate. The staff was exceptional and left nothing to be desired.

It's a very good place to be in Williamsburg, close to almost everything. We were able to get in bush gardens in 15 min. Nice breakfast and free drinks fron 5:30 to 7 with snack

Loved this place! Convenient location, quiet. Good sized rooms. Complimentary breakfast to get the day started and a Happy hour to get the day ended. Plenty of free parking.

Overal, I was very pleased with my stay at the hotel. However, I was not a fan of the coffee, and the rooms did not smell the best.

Check in was a mess, but the actual rooms are nice. A/C seems to be off in the main lobby, or at limited capacity. Breakfast was meh.

This place would have been nice except for the fact that it is very noisy. Rooms 225-230 are located next to something that sounds like a generator which never stops. It was way too loud for me. I could only get a few hours sleep. The hotel was "sold out" so the only option they have was to find a different hotel.

Comfortable beds (and an alright sofabed), nice breakfast, a well equipped gym, and free booze at the reception every evening. The room could have been updated with a more contemporary decor but overall it was pretty good.

Was not happy with the room in Virginia. It smelled, the beds had a foul odor and it was very dirty. I brought my own lysol wipes and wipe down the door handles, remotes and fridge and the amount of dirt that was on everything turned my wipes black. So dirty and smelly

Always like embassy suites but this one in particular has the best service and kindest staff of any place I've been - hotel or not - hands down.
