Dear Embassy Suites by Hilton Hampton Convention Center, on 4th of July, my bus group of viners, Alicia Keys and I plan on bundling ourselves in a hot-pink blanket and hats for cold weather and riding the city bus to your facility on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

Large rooms, but the double beds were pretty uncomfortable. The linens were scratchy and sub-par. The pull-out was surprisingly comfortable. The amenities were lacking for expectations of the property. The bathroom was small. I liked the layout with the atrium in the middle, it created a great "walking track" to entertain and exercise my 2 year-old when the weather outside was uncooperative, but bring earplugs because the ambient noise from the atruim (as well as the background music) is loud and audible in the front room of the suite at all hours of the day. Breakfast was pretty good with a large selection. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful The pool policy is a little strange (requiring guests to wear a paper adhesive wristband), though being next to the Convention Center, I guess I understand the need for the policy. It was just inconvenient when we were there for a formal event and had to don paper bracelets whenever we wanted to go swimming.
Great hotel in the area. The rooms are spacious and clean. Free breakfast and drinks are included with your stay. There is a business center, gym, and pool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious with many food options. There is also an in-house spa! I am only giving four stars because upon check-in I was not given my complimentary snacks/water for being a Hilton Gold member, but aside from that I was pleased with my stay.
Nice hotel, but housekeeping is not very good. Didn't clean the rooms good. When we got there they have hair pins everywhere in the bathroom. Toilet seat was broken, reported it but didn't get fixed tool two days later.
The beds are nice n the blankets are actually pretty thick (Which Is A Good Thing). It's location allows for easy travel to the beaches n the shopping areas like the outlet.
Amazing hotel. All the rooms have a separate bedroom. Perfect for my wife to enjoy Netflix in the bedroom and leave me to play games in the living area. Breakfast is awesome with made to order omlettes. The lunch from the restaurant was spectacular and cheap. Overall a fantastic stay.
Slept very well, enjoyed the free happy hour and breakfast. Didn't have much interaction with the day supervisor but the evening guy was the true definition of southern hospitality.
Everything was good good service it was just when I showed up they told me my room was ready but when I got there the bed wasn't said there was towels on the floor it was horrible
This is one of the older embassy suites with the 80s decor style they're trying to renovate and update and they're making some progress Right now doing covet they're just adequate cuz you can't do anything else there right now but that's almost understandable also at times they like to charge for parking which is not on their website but because they're close to the coliseum they feel they can get away with it as a diamond member I'm not entirely happy with this property but it's about the best Hilton property in the area there are other lesser hotels that have nice and rooms but not as large The breakfast is standard MCC's fair The bars okay not the largest I've seen It is centrally located
My Wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel for a number of days as part of her organizational duties. It left me and some of the guys on our own. Tonia Carter at the front desk was so helpful in helping us to find our way around and point us to many locations to help with our experience. She (Tonia) Served me like a baby for the 4 + days we were there and I am very greatfull for her help. She deserves an atta-girl and a raise. Great Job, Great Help, Great Lady!
I had a work lunch event here. The event was in a room to the side of the open seating area, and see just had food from Cypress Grill's buffet. They have something different every day, usually there is something good.
It's what you would expect from an Embassy Suites: spacious 2 room suites, comfortable beds, the best breakfast buffet (made to order eggs), managers reception in the evening (aka free drinks), and an indoor pool. As well, there is a restaurant located onsite, Cypress Grille. Excellent food...I recommend the fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes. Most important about this hotel is location. It's conveniently located just off of I-64 across the street from the Hampton Coliseum.
Not a place that you want to go and relax it was very noisy the only staff that seemed very friendly was the desk everyone else makes you feel as if you are a distraction or in their way also the room seem very outdated and worn.... toilet ran all night long! Normally my stay at the Hilton is great but this experience has me really looking into where I stay at from now on!
The hotel was very close to the Virginia Science Museum and the Mariners Museum. It is convenient to I-64. The hotel staff was excellent and was available to answer our questions. The hotel was clean with large rooms.
Embassy Suites are my first choice in hotels and this one did not disappoint. From reception to room service, everything was first rate. I could hear a party going on just up from my room, but by 10pm all was quiet, and after all it was the season to be jolly.
Enjoyed the cook to order breakfast and the managers reception in the evenings as well. However, the water tastes horrible bring bottles in with you. As the tap tastes like the James river and smells just as bad.
Upon entering our room we did inspection and several things The toilet was loose, the remote didn't have batteries in it. The light over the mini bar needs to be replaced as it was flicking all night. The water pressure really sucks and the water staying in the tub while showering is really bad. The closet door was also really hard to open.
Great hotel and staff. Breakfast is pretty good with cooked to order eggs...managers reception in the pm is really good. Rooms are VERY good and the maid staff is attentive and friendly. Right next to the Hampton convention center.
Stopped by to meet some friends at the bar after arriving back in town. The drinks were on point and the bartender was really engaged with us. I will definitely be back again.
Beautiful hotel. Well decorated and easy layout to navigate. Food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff was extremely professional and greeted guests as they saw them.
they have problems to pick up the phone and they professional to put you in hold or transfer you from one to other . go head and try that by your self about there attitude . god SOME OF THEM when talk to you in the phone . they are just nasty . hotel need mentor them . because front desk really is very important to make the hotel money or NO . cleaning and take care of rooms . break fast area perfect but people who work need really more adjusted to fits that big name
Rude staff, especially during the managers reception. Bad enough that they charged $10/night for the WiFi but the business center computers weren't working either. Checked in Friday they were out of butter by Saturday and had over booked their rooms. The food was undercooked and the rooms were overpriced. Nice elevator, if that's worth anything these days.
This was the worst experience ever, I am a father of two beautiful girls 5 and 9! We came to this hotel as a vacation. On the first day we get there Christmas Day we get out in the parking lot and wow pure marijuana smell coming from the Lobby and parking lot. I knew we where not in a good place when we smelled that we told management they said they would send there security to check it out. So we came in late we went to our room. Second day we have our in laws come to the hotel they had reservations as well and we where one of the few Whites there we felt discriminated from the hotel staff. Specially in the breakfast area with our food all the way to our sitting area. Third day we had enough and decided to call Hilton Explained the situation about the smell of marijuana, cops arresting people in the parking lot. We felt very unsafe and we did not like the treatment we had from the hotel staff. Please read the reviews before you come with your family. Hilton has other Hotels in the area you can stay in do not come to this one. I added some pictures of the wall paper in bathroom, stains on lamp fixtures and cops in parking lot area while our family was in the car when we got blocked of on our way out. So please think of your family safety is first we came thinking we are going to be in a great hotel but it was the opposite. Happy New Years and enjoy with your family.
The Embassy Suites in Hampton, Virginia is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in my travels. The breakfast buffet is always outstanding. There are a variety of items for every taste. The rooms are always nice, neat and clean. And, I love the environment and atmosphere at this hotel!
Clean room and spacious. I try to get a room here a many times as I can. Great staff as well. I'm looking forward to trying more amenities in the hotel in the future.
The Embassy Suites are our favorite hotel. We totally enjoyed staying here. We loved the fresh made breakfasts. The hotel is located next to the Hampton Convention Center off of I-64 and I-664.
Had to wait 3 hours past check in time for our hot stuffy room to be ready. AC worked poorly through the night. Only to be woken up on Saturday morning at 6:45am by work men drilling. Called to complain, they stopped, but started right up again 1 hour later. With every call, they stopped but started back 1 hour later. By 9 apparently nothing was going to make the workers stop and the drilling was in full force by then. So. No sleeping in for my Mothers Day break. Thanks.
My family and I stay at this hotel from Sunday until today. When we first arrived I noticed the hotel was very clean and the staff were very nice. My family enjoyed the breakfast bar. But the second day we were here we get a note under the door saying that the pool was going to be closed until Thursday. (It did open on Wednesday , which I appreciated) the only reason we booked this hotel was because of the in door pool. On top of the pool closing every time we went there it was overwhelming with kids with no parents who were jumping in the pool and yelling. I was down there with my 5 year old and 2 month old and had to leave because they were being so loud it upset my younger. One day there were people in the pool area that looked to not even be a guest at the hotel. They exited the pool area outside and got in there cars and left. Plus two days that we were here there was an over powering smell of Marijuana in the elevators and kids racing on the elevators. I actually fell on the elevator because these kids got in there soaking dripping wet from the pool. I came with my boyfriend on a business trip to have a mini peaceful vacation and that was far from what I got!
Felt like I was being prejudged by the staff and given a not so nice room. Was excited to go and take my sister an her friends for a sleepover but was not impressed at all. It is not good to treat people as if you think you are better than them.
The hotel was clean and tidy. Very personable staff. My room smelled of cigarette smoke though. The staff and management were apologetic and helped to corre the issue. Unfortunately the smell just wouldn't go away. Still, they refunded my stay without my requesting and handled the situation well. I will stay here again just because of their professionalism.
