Scam artists who make it easy to sign up but difficult to cancel

Even as a work in progress this place is great! Always greeted with a smile. Service is pretty good. Itd be nice if the women's area had a place to fill up water bottles instead of having to go out near the front. Since of the machines in the front could use some tlc.

Rob And Zach were amazing today at the gym tonight ! Got a really good workout in today can t wait to see all of the progress that I ll be seeing

The new club is great very modern clean locker room and an outstanding women s only room classes babysitting love the silver mirrors in the locker room and open 24/7 I give it a 6

We signed our daughter up for a membership as a Christmas present and the experience was terrible. Stay away from the trainers, they told us we could sign up for two months and then cancel anytime. What they forgot to tell us was that there would be a $500 cancellation fee! In addition to calling our daughter the week before Christmas and spoiling the surprise (they forgot it was a present), we are now having to fight with corporate over the ability to cancel. The manager, Jason, called and apologized that he misled us, but has done nothing to help correct the problem!
In addition, the trainer that my daughter ended up was late to the first two appointments and then didn't show for the third. Very frustrating...

Staff rude, No customer service skills. Phone hung up in my face. No accommodations for long standing customers who also drive 15 minutes to their facility. Rather find a closer gym who appreciates their customers

Crowded, but does have everything you need to get an excellent workout

The tanning rooms are tiny and dirty, there is no pool Hot Tub or sauna. Its an incomplete workout. Otherwise its an ok place to work out.

This place has gone WAY downhill since their move. Less equipment, when their class rooms are empty they are now OFF LIMITS to their members but their employees don't know why!?! Also sorry, but when I work out it doesn't give me a pump to listen to Brazillian music. Might be time for a new gym.

Don't recommend. They're closed but still charging fees and service fees.

Love WOW, I am there just about everyday...have never had a problem with them :)

It's an inexpensive Gym that is centrally located in New Bedford...clean and well maintained...could use a few more machines

Everyone that works there is great, very friendly. It is always clean. Plenty of equipment, I never have to wait for anything. Hits all the marks for me.

The Rob and Zach were very helpful with their RedWood personal training. Gave lots of great tips and answered all my questions:))

I enjoy this location better than the previous, however, most of the equipment needs to be updated. The biggest issue is the dumbbell section. Not all of the weights are labeled and the racks are labeled incorrectly. It would be nice to purchase new, labeled dumbbells. There are signs posted requesting members to rack their weights, but I can understand why members put them in the wrong location. This area needs to be addressed so the weights can stay organized and will be better maintained by the members.

WOW is a scam. Good luck trying to cancel your account, they run you in circles and you keep being charged for the gym. This location is dark, dirty and smells like gym socks.

I like that it's open 24 hours. I like how there's a separated women's section of the gym

All things consider not that great of a place always found this location dirty especially the men's locker room and if you want to cancels your membership you have to do it at location with a manager. Hope when it moves locations it fixes alot of the problems. Good choice of equipment thought.

Tried to cancel account and they were giving me a run around and got the next months balance due and I tried to call to settle the issue and the girl on the phone was rude as can be and then after I politely told her that they are supposed to do what they can to help not just keep telling me it s not on notes nothing they can do she then hung up on me not once but twice. I will never recommend this gym to anyone else ever again. Although my experience with an employee at the actual gym was not to my taking, a wonderful woman in HR did sort everything out and helped me greatly in this situation.

Well went to check it out yesterday..went for a tour..the place has new equipment new location and very clean.. signed up..went today for my first work..I'm glad I did..plus it's open 24 hrs..that is a plus..

They continued to charge me for over a year after I canceled and then refused to refund any of it.

This is a great gym and I try to go about 5 days a week. They have plenty of equipment and the new set up is excellent. I have never had an issue about any of the employees, they are all very nice and friendly. The locker rooms are also clean which is huge.
The reason I'm only giving 3 stars is because of the dumbbells. I've been going for about a year now and I don't think there has been two consecutive days where I dont have to search around the entire place for certain dumbbells. I know that the employees don't go out of their way to misplace the weights and that it's completly the members, but this needs to be addressed. I have said somthing to a manager and/or someone at the desk maybe 5 times now and its always the same. They are always a mess. It really sucks that that brings the rating to 3 stars because I'd like to give 5, but I can't due to the consistency of the dumbbells being a mess regardless of my verbal complaints.

Joined last week and just started going this week. The guys at the front desk when you come in are very friendly and always greet you with a smile and have been very helpful. As far as the gym itself, I go there for the treadmills and it has been great so far, I love having the TV in front of you to watch what you want while exercising, it definitely helps to pass the time. I really enjoy coming every day, it has been fun! Thank you WOW, hope to reach my goals!

Fantastic new facility s with even better management. Would reccomend to anyone looking for a new gym.

Although the location and building isn't the best, they are completely renovating a new more spacious building that will hopefully be open in April. The selection of equipment is good, although I'm told the new location will have even better equipment and a larger selection of equipment available to members. The staff are very personable and friendly and always attentive when you need something. The manager, Dan, is always accessible and willing to listen to any concerns or advice members may have. Overall it's an excellent place to work out.

I like it at this gym! I especially like that there is a women only section

I miss the old work out world you had so much space, but now in the new location every thing is so cramped up

I walked in ready to cancel due to an unpleasant coworker that disrespected me in a way, but i met with a worker named Angie and she talked me out of it. She was very nice and helped me out with the situation.

Do not let you cancel. Use an outside agency called ABC Fitness who has no ability to resolve problems. Took over a month to cancel even though I wrote letter, copied both the New Bedford location and HQ. They billed me my annual fee and refused to refund me. Sad part, been a member for four years, made a lot of friends. None of us will be going back when Covid lifts... Planet Fitness here we come...

is the new location open yet ? also is the sauna open yet as well? im dieing for it to be open <3

Always clean what else could you ask for. Well the customer service has always been good when I've needed it too if anyone is interested in that .

this place is lovely I don't know why people complaining , your should stay in your basement doing exercise, me as a US military I've been more than 32 States and going too the gym this is the best place I've ever seen

Dirtiest place in new bedford. The weights are all over the floor and it has a horsneck beach/ junior high school croud

Clean facility, plenty of machines, friendly staff and the tanning booths were always great!! Great facility!!

New location, pretty decent spot. Located in old movie theater. Cardio section is smaller than the old location. But other than that no complaints. Plenty of machines to choose from.

Amazing trainers. Breanna is so knowledgeable and accomading. We look forward to every session. Clean environment and curtious employees at the gym also. Can't wait for more transformations.

The place is clean. They recently updated their dumbbell. They recently opened a smoothy bar! Would give them 5 stars if they would reorganize the wights from time to time. You will rarely find the weights on the weight rack and need to take them off of other machines and bench presses. I blame the members for not putting them back but would be nice if the staff could stay on top of this.

Been a member since they opened about 12 years maybe more...love it!! Ppl that complain aren't working out and think it's a luxury spa..it's a gym..WORK OUT!!

Tanning booths and equipment are dated. Staff are awesome!

Old location was larger but at least it looks cleaner

It was fine, staff was fine. I went with my boyfriend and he canceled his membership in June or July and they've been charging him this whole time, $100 down the drain for him

The remodel for this gym is outstanding. The amount of space there is at this location is so much better than the old location. I especially love taking some of the exercise classes and the new room at this location is so much more spacious, it's great.

I wish there was an option for no stars!
My minor son took a membership, never, ever, ever, not once, used it, and we went in to cancel on three occasions only to be told no manager was available. I called six different times only to be given the runaround and "forgotten" on hold for 12 minutes by Patrick. I went in person with my son to cancel on July 5 and was told no one available. Went back on July 10 and waited 41 minutes for someone to assist. Cancelled in computer, but no printout given because of "the move, things are crazy, it'll get emailed, etc"....needless to say, I am still being chargeg! Contacted corporate and still being charged so I am disputing with my card company and seeking legal action! And, I have proof of calls, and emails, etc. Thanks WOW for the great customer service. NOT!

Ppl shouldn't go hea they say one price an charge u way more an when u only gone one time an didn't like it they give u hard time leaving an not give u back your money there a not good to go to

Always a great experience. It is nice to be greeted each visit and the front desk recognizes me. The equipment is always clean and working.

I've been going here for a few years now. I really enjoy it especially now with the new location and the renovation. Being 24 hours really helps out. The membership is very affordable and they have a good range of weights and machines to keep up with your routine.

I live in Atlanta but visit NB about once a month and use this gym when I am home. I never find there is a wait for machines and I especially love that the women's only area behind the locker room has treadmills and ellipticals, weight machines and free weights. Plus it is super clean. Between the new location/renovation and the price of an annual basic membership, WOW is an excellent value.

I have been going to WOW little over two month, I have no ISSUES WITH BILLS. STAFF IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY. and My trainer kicks ass.
