I had billing issues in which I was charged over $500 per night for suite which didn't align with the mediocre room I stayed in... I am STILL trying to resolve my over $4000.00 stay but have had little/no help from this hotel.

I would never stay here again and if Hilton (corporate) can't help me resolve the issue, I will never stay in another Hilton property again.

It's been extremely frustrating to say the least.

We have always enjoyed our stays at many Embassy Suites hotels through the years, this was not the case. Unfortunately this hotel was under construction, yet there was no mention of construction prior to booking. An important hotel amenity for our booking was a restaurant/bar on premises. The hotel restaurant and bar were under construction therefore.... closed. Extremely disappointing to say the least.

Fantastic Service! Love this property. I'm here for the Diamond Crown Experience and loving every minute of it so far. Job well done. Staff has been very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend holding a private event here.

Great place for all state chorus. Close to everything. Breakfast was wonderful as all other embassy suites. Valet was friendly and housekeeping is too. I would stay here for my next Tampa visit!

We ate lunch here after walking down the river walk. The food was fairly decent for a hotel restaurant but the wait was a little long (which I feel is typical for hotels). It was one of only a few restaurants open in the downtown area so it worked out well for us.

We made a reservation at least a month or more in advance and then they did not have our rooms available upon arrival. They were under staffed for the surge of check ins and we had to wait over an hour to check in.

Horrible!

Horrible!
Well I thought this was a renovation upgrade caused I paid extra. I dusted the bedroom (night stand, dresser & drawers that had crumbs & debris). Including, I cleaned the bathroom mirror and I'm didn't touch the shower floor, bath & hall floors that are filthy...especially around the toilet. Not to mention for a renovation the shower's soap dish is literally broken off & missing. Wow!!!!
This is the dirty bathmat to step on had stains & spots. #unbelievable

Great hotel very badly managed ... It offers breakfast and only once could I eat it hot, the other days they only gave me a cold box from the fridge with two boiled eggs, a banana and a yogurt.

They do not clean the rooms during the stay, nor do they change towels or take out the garbage. They have parking and charge it to their guests.

Unfortunately I think I will return despite its great location!

The room was clean and spacious. It came with a microwave and small fridge. The towels were softer than expected. It is located in a convenient area, with many amenities within walking distance. All-in-all, a nice stay.

If you have disputes reference to charges on your account there, your SOL on getting anywhere. You can even forget contacting the corporate office as they do nothing as well. Can't even get the General Manger Jeff Weinthaler to respond back to emails from corporate. If you stay there for a conference, and do valet parking and they quote you a daily charge. BEWARE.... they will charge your personal credit card for overnight charges. Would someone like to share their definition of DAILY Parking?

Fun hotel. Nice rooms and very close to downtown stuff.

Only complaint is the "pool spa". It's literally 6 feet wide and like 30 feet long and about 4 feet deep. It got crowded with about 15 people in it. If you go when it's busy, don't plan on swimming a lot.

Overall I thought the hotel would have been nicer. The pictures shown of the pool and hotel make it seem like it s nicer than it is. Inside has a motel feeling. The rooms are small and outdated. I would probably never stay there again. Our view out the window was a cement wall. I ve never seen a hotel that was next to another building with no view whatsoever. Search elsewhere.

This hotel was amazing! The view of the Bay from my room was stunning, the complementary breakfast and drinks were super nice, and the overall spacious room was awesome. It's amazing if you are attenting a convention at the convention center, a legit 2 minute walk away, and the service and quick and polite.

Always a nice stay. The fold out couches are typical uncomfortable old school style. Odd for the room being so up to date. Breakfast is acceptable bacon is very hard on the edges? Windows on the glass elevators looking out to the bay are very dirty. No photo through those windows. Location is the key here.

So when my husband and I pulled up, my husband asked the lady who greeted us outside if cocktail hour was over. She told us we had 10 minutes before they finished, so I rushed inside to get a cocktail drink and the bartender asked me where my room key is but didn't ask anyone else in front of me. I assume i didn't look like i belonged there.
Later on that day my husband receives a text from someone named Daniella at the front desk asking how our stay was going, so he replied explaining my situation. Daniella replied back saying the guy was familiar with
EVERYONE else in the line except for me and thats very hard to believe with a lobby FULLLL of people but I'm the only African-American lady in line. Then she proceeded to tell my husband just to "inform" him that they wouldn't be giving us any discounts for anything because he works at different location and he already gets a discount. My husband NEVER even asked her for a discount but she made sure to volunteer that information basically letting us know that we could be treated ANY kind of way because he works at a different location.
Later on that night, we were getting ready to go out so Valet went to get our car and i swear it sounded like he broke something! We couldn't see what was going on because of the big wall blocking everything but we keep hearing a knocking sound when we drive and that wasn't there beforehand.
The next morning our family comes down for breakfast and the guy who was taking the tickets didn't even want to speak to us . This is freaking ridiculous. Your customer service is HORRIBLE! I WOULD NEVER recommend this Location to anyone. The view was gorgeous and the rooms looked nice but the customer service suck.

I should have paid more attention to the recent reviews before booking. Never had a bad experience at a Hilton hotel before and will probably not be using our Hilton honors account after this stay. Don't expect them to Bill you correctly, don't ask for anything that isn't already in the room at check in and whatever you do try to avoid asking for a manager at check out unless you want to argue with the girl at the desk for 25 minutes. Good location but the Marriott across the street is where I'll be staying in the future. So long Hilton. It's been fun

The hotel is clean and well furnished. There is a Starbucks in the hotel, so that's always a plus! The hotel restaurant is solid, but there aren't a ton of options outside of the alcohol selection. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Great food, lots of room to sit.

Great location for events at the convention center and such a nice hotel! Breakfast was great, and even included an omelette bar. But if there s a hockey game going on, you CANNOT get back to the hotel. We drove around for an hour and a half trying to get back before we asked a cop and found out every single road is blocked off to allow the patrons to walk out to their parked cars.

Spent New Years there , booked way in advanced a river view ( paid extra $) to be able to see the fireworks from a safe space and avoid the Florida Covid. When we arrived their were no river view rooms available, they gave us a awesome view of the parking lot without refunding the extra $ we paid, extremely happy it was clean. No one enforcing mask wearing, packed elevators of mask less folks SUPER SPREADER! Breakfast was really bad, i know its free but still. Overall they didn't provided the services they charged us for and our experience was less than desirable.

Very nice stay, great amenities with cocktails and light snacks in the evening, and a fabulous made to order breakfast bar in the morning. Breakfast bar was far above expectation which was available throughout the morning until 10:30 a.m. on the weekends. I saw a concert downtown and this location is directly next to Amalie arena which made the concert in the evening very enjoyable. This location is within walking distance to many downtown experiences. The bedroom Queen suite was very comfortable, clean, and provided plenty of space. I would highly recommend and would stay again myself the next time I have a Tampa event.

Nice in general, only complaints is it felt like the hotel could seriously benefit from additional elevators, and the tv was worse than 720hd cable. Trying to check out was absolute madness, but it was the end of a convention weekend so that is mostly due to timing.

Came in with a group of ~30 for a business retreat. Fully half of the group reported moderate to major issues with the wi-fi, and everyone reported at least some problems. For my part, I payed $15 (!!) on the first night for the "premium" wi-fi. At no point during that night was I ever able to do anything remotely close to streaming videos and, at its best, I was barely able to stream voice over a VOIP service. Connection went to a stand-still numerous times with zero data flow for up to 30 minutes. I was never able to experience uninterrupted connectivity for more than 10 minutes, and speeds were often a crawl even then.

Aside from the constant interruptions of data flow, low bandwidth, and extreme latency - our group also experienced other problems with connectivity. Ethernet connections did not work (at both my location and everyone else I talked to) and several of our guests guests had no w-fi in their bedroom and only spotty connectivity in the office suite.

While I did not bother contacting technical support (after the first night I simply used my phone as a mobile hotspot) other guests who called were sent to a support department in India with no resolutions among any of those who called.

I'm giving them an extra star simply because the service staff (cleaning, food, etc) was wonderful. For a business trip, however, Embassy Suites would be my last choice.

Never ever, ever disappointed by Embassy Suites! My family and I were in Tampa for a family vacation, and I decided to try an 'alleged' fancier hotel nearby, but was extremely disappointed (more like shocked and disgusted) once we arrived. We checked out immediately and headed straight to Embassy Suites where we KNEW based on past experiences we would get friendly, CLEAN, and exceptional service. And once again, Embassy Suites hit it out of the park. Never again will I stray away from Embassy Suites! Never ever!

Beautiful building but that s all! Not a place for children or families. Only business work related I recommend. My family and I waited for a elevator for over 15 minutes. Valet was horrible took another thirty minute to get my car. I will never come back to this location! Normally Embassy Suites has good service and I enjoy my stay with the kids but not this location, A waste of money!

The inside of the hotel was beautiful and roomy. My room was quiet and cozy which was all I could ask for after a busy day of running around Tampa. The morning breakfast was filling and convenient.

Nice facilities. Their was a large graduation happening that week and it appeared that the hotel was overbooked because getting breakfast in the morning was like being at a school cafeteria with a long line and tables in the lobby to eat. The staff was professional, but the experience could have been better if it was less crowded.

This place is a mess. The night we arrived, we tried to give our children a bath because we had been at a water park. The little thing you pull up or push down on the faucet to control whether the water goes to the shower or comes out the tub faucet, seemed to be stuck in the up position. I pushed down on it, nothing. I pushed a bit harder, nothing, I hit it with the palm of my hand, nothing, so, I hit it harder. With that, the entire faucet came of, and very high pressure water shot out of the wall, carrying the faucet with it, slamming it into the wall at the far end of the tub. Turned off the water and called the front desk, phone didn't work. Awesome!

This hotel is apparently the most popular hotel for guests getting ready to depart on a cruise ship. This hotel is woefully unprepared for this role. They are severely understaffed, and they have what seems to be about 10 total luggage carts. 1 gentlemen this morning told me that he had been waiting for well over an hour to get a luggage cart. Then there's Valet parking. That's another mess! They won't let you call ahead so your car is ready when you get down there, so you have to turn in your ticket before they'll go get your car. After 15 minutes, the guy I gave my ticket to came walking back, without my car! He said "It's not where it's supposed to be!" I'm sorry, what? Why is my $80,000 car not where it's supposed to be??? We got the manager involved, and my car showed up about 15 minutes later. They parked my car, gave me the key and apologized. We just finished packing the car and the manager was apologizing, as well as showing us the pathetic discount off of our bill he gave us, when a Valet attendant started complaining about where my car was parked, and he couldn't get another car down the ramp because of where my car was parked. But, that's where Valet parked my car, and Valet parked my car there, because the rest of the Valet area was completely filled with cars! This is one hotel that I will never return to!

The room smelled like an ashtray & there were burn holes throughout the carpet! Room was NOT Embassy Suites quality, more like that of a truckers motel! Didn't hold to policy "we'll make it right". Very disappointed.
