Embassy Suites Tampa Downtown Convention Center Review

While the hotel gets points merely for it's proximity to Amalie arena, it's rooms are in need of maintenance and renovation. Wallpaper was peeling away in the bathroom, dirty walls and doors in abundance, and broken privacy blinds in the front. What few touch-ups have been made are apparent and sloppy. The rooms are also smaller than at other Embassy locations. The lobby is cluttered and the wait for the few small elevators is long. Breakfast was not good and we ended up eating elsewhere. For the cost of the room there is a competing brand just across the street that has surpassed my expectations on multiple occasions. Such a disappointment as Embassys are typically among my favorite stays.

Hotel was nicely designed in a nice area, with great views and close to everything. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was Covid-era friendly. However, the hotel was not as well kempt as I expected.

They decided to lie to us about splitting the room charge onto 2 cards causing me to be within a few dollars of going over my limit and it's $30 to park at the hotel a night, not to mention there are more fees for staying in this room than there are on ticketmaster, on top of the room price itself. They DO NOT care about thier customers.

Great hotel - location is prime! Room was spacious and clean! Happy hour was fun! Pool was very nice! Can't wait to stay again!

What a headache! I booked this hotel for my wedding guests to stay at and it was a complete nightmare! From the moment we arrived, customer service was lacking, including no bellhop, elevators not functioning and one of my guest's vehicle had to be jumped because valet left the lights on overnight. To top it off I was charged three times for rooms and valet! Was not able to clear things up until a few days after check out, then a month later they charged me again on a different credit card I used for "remaining valet balance". I stayed there two nights and was charged an additional 3 nights for valet! Fraudulent, fraudulent, fraudulent!!! Much better places around there to stay

The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Complementary breakfast is a plus. Always use this hotel when attending Metrocon

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Free breaky and happy hour nice touch. Rooms are big but fitness center is small without much equipment.
