If I could leave no stars I would ! The Hotel is under construction and the noise is deafening. To top it all off we now have no cable. I would strongly encourage everyone to find another Hotel in the area while the construction is being done. The Marriott and Westin are better choices.

Seems like a wonderful place online until you're actually here. They tell you check in is at 4pm, then charge you a "priority fee" to check in on time. They tell you they can keep your bags, messily in a closet with hundreds of others, until it's time to check in. Construction downtown is impossible to navigate. There is NO ONSITE PARKING. This means you have to pay $40 PER NIGHT to park your car with the valet or find parking elsewhere (there isnt any). Valet lost our keys, then became belligerent when we called them out. Finally found the keys in some random location, no apology from the staff. They actually joked about it the next day when we returned like it was hilarious they lost our keys. Reserved a room with two beds, only got a single bed in the room. Was charged a MASSIVE security deposit of $150, which was not clearly stated online. Elevators take about 10 minutes each way. Room was filthy, and now I've got bites all over my body which I suspect to be bedbug bites. Very noisy, guests have freedom to be as loud as possible whenever they want. So many hidden fees we were hemorrhaging money by the time we left. Never again will we waste our money coming to this hotel or its affiliates. It seems as though they only care about online PR. Once you've booked, you're screwed. Save yourself the trouble & go elsewhere!!!

No internet during a conference in the hotel? That is just extremely terrible and annoying. Unacceptable. Will not come back to this hotel. Also no functional swimming pool and no gym. What is even going on with this hotel? Come on embassy suites, you can do much better. Just stay at Marriott across the convention center.

Perfect hotel. Be there once, you will go again. Suites in higher levels are very nice and spacious! The view over Tampa bay is priceless. In house Starbucks is a plus. Valet parking was friendly and fast. Heated outside pool is perfect to end your day. Go there, you will like it!
Our stay was ok, both checking in and checking out the front desk agents made us feel like it was an imposition that we were there. The guy acting like he was doing us a favor when he downgraded our room because they were sold out and we were trying to check in early. No apology, no options just take it or leave it. The girl at check out seemed like we were from some where else when we came to the desk to check out. When we tried to use a gift card for incidentals and had an issue he response was "I've already charged your card" again no customer service, no apology and no alternative options.
The hotels only saving grace were Kevin who was on that evening and Addie the manager on that evening. Both of them were far superior to the other staff we encountered and everyone should take notes from them! They were both empathetic understanding and took the time to help and listen to my problems. Within 5 to 10 minutes they had the room for us that we had booked all with a smile and apologies! And an amazing pizza recommendation from Kevin! Thank you to the both of them for salvaging what was a really poor start to our trip!
Excellent breakfast choices...including made to order omelettes. Clean and welcoming...staff appears to like their jobs...great customer service all around. Excellent location...right off the river walk...

Very convenient if you are going to a convention. It is right near the River Walk too. The hotel has a great breakfast and also a free happy hour. It is worth the extra bucks to stay here.
Nice rooms, beautiful outdoor pool and lots to do nearby. If you want access to the Tampa Convention center you can't get any closer than this. Extremely lengthy check in , fire alarm went off all night!!!!!! Staff were useless under pressure. They need training, period.
I arrived at 10 PM the day I was supposed to check in to find out that my reservation (made a year in advance) had been cancelled due to construction. I was told that the hotel reached out via email and phone to inform me of the cancellation but I had not received any messages.
I was moved to a hotel 20 minutes outside of the city, very inconvenient considering I was staying at the hotel to be close to the convention center. I was then told that a transportation service had been provided to transfer me to and from the convention center each day. However, you had to schedule rides and often were told there was a 30-45 wait for pickup. I ended up taking Uber because I didn't know what my schedule would be and didn't have time to wait for the shuttle service.
I had a TERRIBLE experience at the hotel I was transferred to. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. I told the manager of the Embassy Suites about the major inconvenience and terrible experience. He explained that they would cover my Uber rides and apologized. I sent him my receipts via email, followed with a phone call but never heard anything back.
The experience was bad enough but then a false apology and lack of follow through just sealed the deal. I am extremely disappointed in the way the staff handled this issue. I won't be returning to the Embassy Suites in Tampa.
Nice hotel. Valet was very nice. Inside was beautiful. Didn't go into any rooms because I was not staying there, but the lobby is very well kept. I did notice the rooftop pool as I was walking towards the elevators and I wanted to jump in.
People working concierge/valet were somewhat rude; tried to tell me that I could not use the luggage dolly and instead had to use bellhop service. When I wanted to load my car after checkout, they forced me to leave my keys even though I was out of the way and behind a parked vehicle. This became a hassle when I needed my keys to get something out. Breakfast was very good (as always), but they really needed another worker helping the cook at the omelette station.
Very cute rooms, convenient placement to reach the Convention Center. Visited some friend's staying here and it seemed very nice.
I have booked rooms here over a dozen times and it's one of my favorite hotels in Tampa. Convenient location with easy access to the convention center, restaurants and bars.
Spent the night here for some celebrations. The Bay view room was perfect ! Looking out and just at peace with the world. Room was extremely clean and sealed. Definitely recommend for a night to get away.

I am very disappointed in this hotel. Have already been to manager wind while he was kind. And tried to dealwith issues they persist! No manager on duty this evening will try again tomorrow. Numerous issues, none resolved yet.
Very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The pool has a great view. All the rooms have a living area separate from the bedroom. I would stay here for every vist to Tampa.
When checking in the front desk was staffed with only one person and the line was out the door. There was no direction for where to park or how to park. Once I made it to the counter the front desk agent informed me that the room I booked wasn t available and that what I had booked didn t exist at this hotel. I explained that I called directly through their hotel and confirmed 4 different times what I was getting and the front desk agent while trying to be helpful was unable to fix the issue. Once they gave us a room we were in the room for less than 5 minutes! The room had a foul odor, the AC was cranked down to 67 , but felt like it was 80. We spoke to a family while leaving and they announced that their AC hadn t been working either of their 2 nights!!
The parking garage situation was a mess, this hotel has fallen from what it once was. I am disappointed to see it in this state. We were at the hotel for roughly 30 minutes in total and have opted to drive 2 hours back home at midnight instead of staying here!
The main reason to stay here is location. Convenience to the convention center and the arena is very good. Also the view, if that's important. However, aside from those 2 items, this is a hotel clearly in need of renovation.
Here's a short list of things that went wrong: it took 4 key cards and the engineer to get into my room. The phone handset was non-functional, though the speaker worked. The thermostat was not able to get the room cool. The bed was hard (YMMV if you like that). The vending machine was broken and ate my $, and the service desk referred me to the gift shop, who refused to refund my $. There was no jacuzzi in the pool area. The gym was small and the equipment old. The valet did not return my ticket so I had to have the front desk call for my car.
They did say to let them know if anything was wrong, but everything was just so mediocre, it wasn't worth making a stink. Just thoroughly underwhelming.
Overall, if you have to stay there, you will be fine, you will just feel no need to return.
Good view and good location. Hotel conditions are not as good as expected for the price it charges. WIFI access really sucks.

Great rooms, great views, American Social is right across the bridge. Free trolley that goes all over downtown. Restaurant is closed but the have a Starbucks in the lobby and give you voucher for breakfast.
The room was spacious, but pretty standard. I didn't like the layout of the floors, however, as it made it quite cramped to bring a large trolley up the elevator and onto our floor. And... the price to park was absolutely ridiculous.
Currently under major interior construction but had an included open bar so had a good time.
The hotel is undergoing major renovations thus no restaurant or bar, breakfast is paired down in a ballroom compared to what is expected of a ES. Its a great location with beautiful views.
Great guest service and a very nice snack bar. Got everything that we wanted and a good night's rest. Great breakfast as well. Can't go wrong

Showed up to get ready for a wedding with all the groomsmen, had a great time and it was a very nice looking facility. There were a lot of events going on not only on that day but that time so I didn't really have much interaction with any staff, and it was harder to get to than most days
Great hotel, very nice rooms. Everything was clean and well maintained. They have a great restaurant area and have a large variety of items for breakfast. There's also a small bar/ restaurant inside called Trolleys that was quite busy, but had great drinks and food!
The hotel is within walking distance of cruise terminal 3. If you have lots of bags, a shuttle will take you to the terminal for $5 a person (cash). There isn't very much to eat around if you get in late. Though Hat trick, a local sports bar, has decent bar food. Otherwise, standard accommodations. Easy check-in, but there is only one front desk person after 10pm.
The AC in the room didn t work and because we had a late check in, nothing could be done. The TV was awful as it kept freezing up no matter what channel it was on. Bed comfort was just ok. Overall, it s an overpriced place with mediocre accommodations.

I would rate this place with more stars as it is a nice hotel. The primary issue I had was that it was filled with people not wearing masks despite there being plenty of signage throughout the property. No staff seemed to enforce it. Also, our room was not cleaned. The cleaning service came in and replaced towels but did not change sheets, make up bed or clean any portions of the room which was incredibly odd. I will say the hotel is in a good location though.

We stayed 7/10-7/15/19, we usually stay every year with no issue, however this year was not the case. When we checked out , Valet brought our car down and the front driver side bumper was destroyed. Apparently this had happened on Wednesday when we checked in and we checked out on a Monday. So for that amount of time, no one tried to contact us or come to our room to inform us of this. Our car was not driveable as the bumper was hanging and our keyless fob was also broken . If we decide to stay with them in the future, We will not valet with the hotel anymore . Extremely disappointing is an understatement.
Friendly staff, from the valets to the front desk. Lots of stuff going on in the hotel for the college football championship game.

The rooms?? Uh, they need to be updated. I mean, you have a beautiful Marriott right next door to compete with!! Hilton, come on and spend some money on renovations!!!
My wall socket was broken, my sink was dripping all night, no USB outlets, the bathroom sink had the wood paneling chipping and some of the wood was broken...
The front desk staff was helpful and the woman that greets hotel stayers when they went to eat breakfast was very friendly!

The service was spectacular. We went for a con and weren't staying at this particular hotel, but nevertheless the staff was still very attentive.
Normally a good hotel. HOWEVER if they are renovating the 1st floor. The restaurant and lobby is closed. The breakfast area is chaos and accompanied with the sounds of circular saws. No omelet bar either. 12/28/18.
UPDATE: About 18 different people waiting for their car at valet at 9:50am. UNACCAPTABLE
Nice rooms with a great location. Parking is a bit pricey, but to be expected for a downtown hotel. On par with what you would expect from an Embassy Suites.
Hotel is great. Finallt got a good night's sleep while in Tampa. Very clean. Only negative is I wish there had been some water in the room and access to Netflix.

This place is great a must to go check out. The market is excellent. The food is fantastic and inexpensive. The temple is beautiful. You can eat right along the water.
I would like to give it a negative number. Our group had paid reservations 6 months in advance. We confirmed them the day before the event and when we went to check in, they took our credit card to pay for any incidentals but did not have a room for us. They gave it away. We are not the only ones that had this problem with them. A friend said she had the same problem with the embassy suites in Orlando too.

We have had a bad experience in this hotel they gave us a room with broken air, we called to report it from 4pm and it is 1:41 am and they did not give us a solution to the problem, all they said was that if we wanted to leave , we should go.
