I had recess lighting work done in one of my living rooms. I had six lights installed plus wiring. Carlos the electric technician did a fantastic job. He also installed some recess lights in my kitchen about two years ago. He is highly recommended, very professional, courteous and gets the job done right. I will be doing more business with Elcon Electric in the near future as there prices for doing electrical work are reasonable.

The entire staff at Elcon Electric is courteous, dependable, and professional.
When we moved into a new home they hung kitchen and dining room lighting fixtures for us and installed LED high hat lights in the living room and the master bedroom. They were prompt, showing up exactly when they said they would, and the areas where they worked were spotless when they left.
After Hurricane Irma we did not have electricity in parts of the kitchen, but did in other parts. They scheduled an appointment within days and took care of the problem. (It was a defective breaker.)
This past week the electrician that has worked in our home after the hurricane, J.J., helped troubleshoot and solve an electrical problem we were having with some outdoor lighting. J.J. explained things to us in a manner that we could understand.

Terrible service. Showed up at the incorrect time to give an estimate, so I wasn't home and didn't get a quote. I decided to go ahead even after that experience only to be schedule a week ahead of time and for them to no show me and not call to give me a heads up.
Scheduled "first call" 8-9, 10am I call and they told me that the tech wasn't going to be there until mid day. These folks are either (A) Completely disorganized, or (B) Have zero respect for my time. Either way its a terrible way to do business.
Unfortunately it seems to be the South Florida way of doing things. As I indicated on the phone when I called them, "if I treated my clients like that, I wouldn't have any left". Do yourself a favor and find a company thats more organized and has respect for your time.
I'm the CEO of a tech company in Fort Lauderdale and to get an entire day away from my office with a ton of folks reporting to me is tough, and these guys completely disrespected my time.
Elcon Electric is the real deal. They are super professional and very easy to work with. We had a number of issues in our newly purchased 1930's home. We wanted to replace the ancient circuit breaker-- as it was literally a fire hazard.
We also added in a transfer switch so we can connect our whole house easily to a generator in case of a PG&E-level crisis. Finally, we added an EV charging outlet and more outlets in the basement. They handled everything on the list in a timely manner with plenty of great communication along the way.
The scheduled work was all completed in a day and everything they did works like a charm and passed permit inspection. Their follow up was consistently courteous and professional. Pricing was clear and very fair. I would work with them again any time.

We had our 50 year old fuse box replaced with an updated breaker panel. Although it took a little time to get the required paperwork in order for scheduling FPL & the local building permit Dept. the entire (very coordinated) 1 day process went flawlessly, right down to the inspection sign-off! Everyone at Elcon conducted themselves with the highest degree of professionalism. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future, and I recommend anyone who needs electrical work to do the same!

FPL came to my home because my meter was indicating a problem. Upon inspection, it was determined that I needed a meter block replacement at the very least. The technician indicated two other potential problems.
I called around for quotes and checked licenses and reviews. Elcon scheduled an appointment for me with Adam for Friday, within an 11am-1pm window. Adam arrived at 11:15. He confirmed what FPL had told me, and provided me with a worst case scenario quote including the other potential problems. I thought the quote was very fair.
After the permit came back, Liz scheduled an appointment with me for 8am with Christian. He arrived at exactly 8 am on the day scheduled. Everything seemed to go seamlessly, from Christian s work to the FPL and city inspections, and took a day and a half total.
Adam, Christian, Liz, and Tom were all very pleasant, professional, and prompt! Would not hesitate to call them for future projects and would recommend Elcon to friends and neighbors. P.S. having company-identified vans and uniforms is a plus.

BEST electrical company EVER!!! Needed a Federal Pacific panel replaced in my new home. Had several estimates as anyone should for a job this big. Had one from a company called MR.SPARKY and they tried to charge me $14,000 for the job. Told me all my wires from the main HAD to be replaced and I had to have smoke detectors put in that HAD to be hard wired. All LIES!!!! Had ELCON come out and they competed my job with the best technician anyone could ask for, JJ. Job has been signed off by an Electrical Inspector and smoke detectors are all battery. All this for $2500.00 including PERMIT fee. MR. SPARKY has a few wires crossed and he should be ashamed of himself!! Thank you ELCON for being so professional and all of your staff is wonderful.

I had a small but annoying intermittent power outage in my garage. It's the kind of thing that i might have been willing to try to repair myself, but could have been frustrating and time consuming and dangerous. Mel is the BEST. He installed recessed lighting with dimmers in four rooms, hung pendant lights in the kitchen and fixed wiring that a friend had wired incorrectly (hazardous!). Our job was a 2 day deal. We were having the inside and outside power panels replaced and then Elcon was going to troubleshoot some outlets and switches which didn't have power to them.
The beginning of the first day was a little stressful because they had to cut the power to install the panels, but everything went in rather quickly and the rough inspection was passed with flying colors. We were without power for about 6 hours.
The next day, JJ got our faulty outlets and switches working again by bypassing the existing wiring and running a new wire .
The price was decent compared to their competitors and their workmanship is great. I'd highly recommend them, and will use their services again.

The electricians that did the work on my projects were very capable, well trained and knowledgeable. They arrived when they said they would and the communication was excellent. Called for a quote and agreed on a date and time window of 12-3. Never heard from them, until 4:30 the day of the quote. The tech said, "Sorry," when I mentioned that he was past the window, but if I can't rely on them to keep time for a quote, I can't rely on them to show up to do the work.
