Eden Resort & spa Review

Very poor &bad staff,poor buffet ,poor & dirty food,bad rooms service .acctualy it s not four stars hotels. I suggest you will not going to this hotel .hoetel some body(staff)they don t know manners kindly speak.everthings are very bad.thanks

Hotel where we stayed 1 night. The beach is beautiful. And the pool is big. The rooms are poorly soundproofed. No family room in the superior category, nor connection between door. We did not like this hotel at all. The staff are overloaded and unavailable to serve us drinks. The restaurant is cramped and dirty. The food is ordinary. When I point out to the waiter that he dropped food, he pushed it with his foot under my chair.
Large hotel where people are reduced to a number of rooms. We do not recommend it.

No rooms with good sea views. Rooms are ok.The breakfast and dinner buffet have no such variety of food that suits most guests. Complicated check in.Staff are good but some are greedy especially if you are an Arab.Location and the beach are good.

Very nice, courteous and trained staff, which cannot be emphasized enough. Clean and nice rooms, where the bathroom might be a little bigger. Large selection at the buffet, good middle class. Unfortunately, the dining room looks less like a restaurant than more like a canteen

a bit dated but extremely clean, not as crowded as one would expect, efficient staff and they handled an incident we had professionally. beach is public and not part of the hotel.

Nice hotel. Nice location. But towards our first night we realized that the air con is not working in 2 of our rooms. A request for help to the reception is still awaiting response ( 30 mins and no assistance yet.). So my stars go to hell from this point. Please try to improve your quality of service. You are namedly a a five star hotel, but we are getting a very bad experience even for a 3 star hotel before even completing a one night stay with you. Air conditioning in a hot climate such as beruwala is an absolute minimal requirement for a hotel in your calibre. I hope you take constructive criticism and improve from this. Earn credits for your location !

The place is very old and the dogs are spread out on the beach so that they do not feel safe and do not recommend it

Amazing property and service. As usual when we checked in there was welcome drinkcand walkthrough to our rooms. Check in peicepr was quick. Our room was well maintained.
We had a good rest until 630pm and went for dinner. Dinner was tasty, spread was very good. Since we are vegetarian they specifically asked for veg food if we need. Chapathi and veg curry was tasty
Since it's a beach resort we went for a walk which was really refreshing.
Swimming pool is not great for swimmers however it's good for and a very relaxing place. Lot of place for privacy near the swimming pool

My daughter (10 years old) and I stayed at the Eden Resort for 3 weeks in August. It was fantastic. As a mother with a child, I had a totally relaxed, restful vacation. The hotel is absolutely child-friendly with many offers. The food was excellent. For me as an allergy sufferer (gluten, milk protein) it was not a problem at all. The main cook came every time and explained everything to me. I was doing really well there. The kitchen, the hotel and the food were very clean and easy to digest. We have tolerated everything where you should normally be careful in this country. E.g. salad, raw things or brushing your teeth with tap water.
Ayourveda was super good and right in the hotel. It wasn't a problem with a child. For me a dream and pure relaxation.
We went on excursions from the hotel and went back to our super hotel every evening. With the highways that exist now, the distances weren't so bad anymore.
The staff was very hard working and very warm. Every wish was fulfilled immediately. Every day there was a different surprise in the room
The hotel is continuously being renovated and is of a very good standard. It has a great atmosphere due to the beautiful decorations. This was my third time in Sri Lanka but this time it was the nicest. It was definitely not the last time. I came home totally relaxed and full of energy.

Very nice well-kept gardens and very attentive staff responsible for the distribution of beach chairs.

Hai it was really nice to spend the vacation at eden. The staff is super friendly and very supportive . Food was excellent. Everything was upto the level. Thanking all the members of the staff.

We enjoyed but could be better.... not like the memories i had few years back. But their staff were very friendly.

Stayed at Eden resort for 3 days with family. We were greeted warmly, checkin was prompt, we were upgraded to beautiful suites with jacuzzis. The rooms had good views and the property has direct access to the beach.
The facilities were excellent but do book in advance for the spa as it is difficult to get slots. The breakfast spread was very good with 5-6 types of juices, made to order eggs and dosas, Sri Lankan local dishes like string hoppers, all kinds of bread and cereals, pancakes, waffles, veggies, rice, noodles etc. Couldn t really fault anything during the entire stay. Staff is very courteous and helpful.
This is also a lot less expensive than other 5 stars in the vicinity. Would highly recommend.

High class amenities, cordial staff, top quality food

The hotel liked everything: helpful service, delicious food, swimming pools, entertainment, souvenir shops and shops, spacious rooms.

Despite seeing my family they allocated us a twin bed. Old hotel, with broken glass in the shower area. It felt so stuffy inside the room that we had to keep it open and used room fresheners for 3 times. Most of all, the staff was not at all courteous or pleasant. To worsen things my child had bed bug bite all over the face the next morning, I immediately checked out. I m surprised on how are they even rating them 5 starts.

Food wasn't the greatest, but ok. Hotel didn't feel like up to date and modern enough for a 5 star hotel

We were initially given a room in the basement (apparently Deluxe room). Then we upgraded to the suite. Well the suite was also below average. I mean this is a pretty old hotel and needs serious renovation. Staffs were very unprofessional and rude. My driver was given free accommodation though.

Nice hotel good food love the live violin music so much.

The equipment is good, the view is good, and there are many buffet options.

Great resort! Nice clean rooms, pool and private beach. Bad spa service. Our appointment was double booked and eventually canceled. This was quite disappointing. Especially after emphasizing multiple times that we prebooked, the spa manager offered us half hour separate sessions instead of a full one hour session for two people. Also we were quite disappointed by the A la carte service offered in the restaurant. The food took an hour to arrive and service was poor. Looks like their focus is mainly on the buffet service in one of their restaurants. They give packed breakfast if you're leaving for sightseeing early in the morning, we only knew this the day before we left SL. But thought that was a good convenience offered to guests.

One of the best beach resorts I ve visited. I got a very calming feeling since I ve entered the lobby. The architecture is so amazing and the rooms are great to spend the rest of the day. The food is great, a lot of dishes to choose from western to traditional SriLanka meals. Highly recommended for a holiday destination.

Beruwelea as a place is uninteresting - the fishing port with the fish trade offers the only attraction. . Man (n) woman should definitely do div. Excursions. The hotel is up to date completely okay. The service and the staff very good. Hotel right on the sea with large pool area with pool bar etc. ... for us it was definitely an exciting and exciting holiday. ,

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. We had few very unpleasant experiences here.we reserved 2 paradise rooms but one room was ready at 4:30 pm and we had to wait at the other room from 2:30pm.food, customer service and cleanliness was very poor.people who have rated this 5 stars must be lack of experience staying in a 5 star hotel.just a waste of money

Resort is good but Staff is very discourteous. Chef does not even know what is cooking. Veg food is horrible

Worst hotel i have ever been. Very poor customer service And the food the provide is even worse. Me and my family had to stay there for weeks as we had no option and it was non refundable. Waste of money time and even your mood will be spoiled the way the staffs they speak to guests. Nothing kept in place at the time of check in. Even For the service request We need to call them 4 to 5 times. Such a terrible experience ever had in my life. My son got stomachache after eating their food. Even after complaining also no one cared about it. Even the managers. even after seeing such reviews also no one will care about it. Never mind and Never visit this hotel Again
