It's a shame you can't leave them a zero star. This is the absolute worste clinic I've taken my animals to. Had to go there back and forth at least 6 times because they've screwed up. DON'T take your animals here. Very unprofessional and unsanitary. Finally got my Cat the meds he needed and the prescription says take for 8 days and these morons only gave us 3 days worth. Talk about a waste of time and money.

I had called about an hour and a half ahead of my appointment time asking about the procedures for a UA. They explained to me that the more fresh/recent of a catch the better. I arrived at my appointment a little more than 30min early and explained who I was and that my dog's urine was fresh within the past 20min, and asked if they could run the UA as soon as possible for most accurate results. The receptionist assured me they would take care of it right away. I then waited another 50min (20 minutes past my apt time) before being taken back to a room. A tech then entered the room and asked a few questions and said the vet would be in shortly. We waited another 15min before someone came in and spoke with us. This vet had then explained that there was a more accurate way to get a sample of her urine through ultra sound and a small needle into her bladder (something the receptionist did not offer). He assured me that if they couldn't get a sample or clear reading they would not proceed or charge me. After another 15min waiting he came back saying her cavity wall was too thick and couldn't get a sample (so they attempted with the needle a few times before deciding they couldn't get a sample). The vet then said they would have to use the first urine sample. It was only then that I realized the original sample I brought in was never touched! It was sitting there for 2 hours!! So not only was I being offered the original services that I HAD FIRST REQUESTED, but now the results will be EVEN LESS accurate than they could have ever been! Long story short people, I wanted the most cost efficient and accurate help for my dog today and this place couldn't have cared less about how much time they had taken/not communicating effectively between staff members and between staff and clients. I tried to do my part by calling ahead to get the info, arriving early, and specifically asking for the services I knew I wanted (the UA from the fresh catch when it was freshly caught). However, this place seems to be okay with mediocre service and moving forward using results that could have been more accurate (but are not) for treatment.

This place was awsome a few years back we took our dog for a nuter. However, we took another dog today after a several week wait and after they set the expectations that his distemper and parvo shots would be excepted we get there and no they wanna do them again no exception offered.

This is the most friendly place you could ever visit. Some of the woman are not as enthusiastic as the very the very friendly ones though. The building you go in to adopt also sells a lot of dog and cat collars, coats, booties, leash's for 3-5 dollars and they are new. There is also some cute totes with one with the logo of the shelter.

Adopted a puppy from Downtown Animal Care Foundation after an owner surrender recently that was listed on Petfinder and though I have only had one visit there for follow up shots so far; everyone was wonderful. From the first calls initiated to inquire about the adoption, and then the follow up calls to get my new doggy to my home, I am very happy with this facility. During my visit for the follow up vaccinations I was promptly taken care of. I had questions for the tech who administered the shots about follow up care and also for the receptionist about future requirements about my adoption. They were both courteous, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. A+

I took my pup here to be spayed because they do it for free for the Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue pups. They were very efficient, and the costs for the extra services (IV and nail trim) were reasonable. Very friendly and I was confident that they knew what they were doing and cared about my baby. Surgery and recovery were flawless. Their said that their vets don t work in commission, so they don t get paid extra for pushing services on you. I didn t realize that was a thing but good to know. I m going to switch to them for my primary veterinary provider (PVP? Is that a thing?)

I've taken my kids here since they were babies and have never had a problem here. Most of the staff here are very polite and helpful. The doctor that sees my kids is great. It's very affordable too compared to most vets.

I have been going to this clinic for around 18 years with my dogs and son's cat. The staff are so kind and caring! Amanda the office manager resolved a small misunderstanding and she is so professional and Customer Service Friendly! Today I was in with Biscuit (one of my little rescue dogs) and with all of the uncertainty of Covid 19 the visit went Very Well! Kazze was so loving to my little dog and Dr. U is really appreciated for her dedication, caring and kindness. I appreciate this office and Dr. Ed for taking care of my animals!
Thank You Again and Again !

Not a good place to work or take your animals to. I worked there for a year and management is rude and toys around with people. They aren't attentive what so ever to clients or patients. The veterinarians, most of the desk staff, and one technician are great though. Just the management there is garbage to employees and to anyone who dares to take their animal there

STAY AWAY!

We took our newly adopted pup here for boosters the day we got her and she became lethargic, wouldn't eat and had diarrhea. A couple days later we brought her in for the free exam offered by the rescue. The vet was inattentive and would not listen to my concerns.

The next day she had bloody diarrhea so we took her to VCA Aspenwood where the vet actually cared and gave diagnosis/treatment.

I would never trust this place, read similar reviews here and on Yelp. Very scary stuff, I could have lost my pup because of them.

This place is amazing with my animals. I ve been with them for years and have had nothing but the best care. I appreciate them more than they will ever know especially with the end of life care for my beloved Zeus

I had an excellent experience with this facility and it's staff. My dog needed a TPLO sugary and everywhere else charged way more and kept changing their prices. This place has the best vet doctor for that and so kind not to mention the best price that never changed. Thanks to Dr. Ed my dog lived for several years after and recovered quickly and was acting like a puppy again! I would recommend this place to anyone.

Prices are good on sundays. But the reason why i rate it one star is because o took my 1 yr old dog in for her first vaccines when we got home she went straight to her bed and didn't move from there, she wouldn't eat nor play with her toys then we took her out for a walk and she had diahrea i called them and told them what was goin on and they said it was normal it was just the side effects. The next day she was the same but weaker and her urine came with blood. Called again and o had the same response. The third day she past, way in the morning. I just wich they had more knowledge of what was going on, if you have a dog with these symptoms don't think twice like we did and take your loved one in to a hospital.

I received wonderful care there! I took my 10 year old german shepherd in. The doctor was compassionate yet honest with us as we found out she had cancer. She gave us lots of information to take home to help us create a transition plan for our dog and family that best met our needs. She spent extra time with us answering questions and made this process as easy as it could be.

Awesome place. We have been taking our yorkie here since we got him. They are fast and really friendly. They also send you reminders of all the shots or anything else your pet may need to keep you up to date and on track. We have recommended this place to all of our friends.

I ve never personally brought a pet in but I do have a couple friends who won t go anywhere else Besides here. They speak very highly of everyone on the team! I ve actually met Marisa and this is her passion and I can tell she absolutely loves what her and the rest of the team do. You and your animals will be in good hands

I love this place. We had a Rottweiler for 9.5 years. We were so lucky to find this place. Their prices are so reasonable and their care is fantastic. A few years ago, Our boy needed surgery to remove a cyst on his shoulder, the cost was great. But the care he received was greater. We very very recently had to put our sweet boy down due to age and quality of life. Our hearts were broken. The doctor and staff were so sweet and careful with us. They let us stay with him the whole time. Our baby boy was not stressed at all. I am so thankful for everything they do! Thank you. Love, Tyson s Mom.

If I could do 0 stars I would! I have brought my 2 cats Luna and Maya here previously, and had a pretty good experience. However, today I had an appointment at 11:30 for Maya. Due to covid I was unable to go inside with my pet. They came out, took my cat inside and told me I would get a call soon, once the doctor saw her. 1hr later sitting in my car out front, I still had not heard anything. I called to find out what was going on. The doctor answers and says she has ear mites and a skin infection. He says "oh I was just about to call you". Why it took 1hr after my appointment to get any information, I don't know. At this point I didnt feel comfortable and was very frustrated, so I said I need my cat back, so I could go somewhere else. Then they tell me they vaccinated her (without notifying me first) and that I owe $70. Okay fine. I tell them that I want the records for both of my cats to take to a better veterinarian. They give me records for Maya, but absolutely nothing for Luna. They said "we dont have any records for Luna" (even though she has been there twice). So they just lost them? And to top it off, they were extremely rude when I expressed my frustrations, and hung up on me. I will NEVER go back!

I couldn't be more grateful for my experience with DT Animal Care Center. My dog needed to be spayed and my primary vet gave me a cost estimate of $500-700... simply outrageous. I found out it would cost my little dog ~$200 here (with pre-blood work - I recommend!!). I was so terrified I was making a big mistake and putting my pup at risk by taking a cost cut, especially after reading some recent reviews on here about "fluffy" not making it home after surgery.

Not only did surgery go perfectly well and Luna is on a speedy recovery, but when I called and expressed my concerns, the front staff was beyond friendly and supportive and put me through to a technician who answered every one of my questions. My interactions with the staff pre-surgery were so professional and friendly, and that continued through dropping her off and picking her up on spay day.

I really wanted to write this review to ease others when considering a provider for your spay/neuter and if you have questions I recommend calling in and asking away like i did!

Called three times and only received one call back. This place use to be great. The front desk people are terrible. I left a detailed voicemail for the clinic each time and the one time they called back they left me a voicemail and didn't even refer to what I talked about in my original voicemail. They just said "we're calling you back but we are closing now." I wasted a whole week trying to talk to my vet. The vets and techs are great but getting to them is impossible.

Excellent, caring people who are thoughtful and fair... I truly 'shopped around' for a vet, and have found that this group is the best. They follow up when they say they will (AHEM, VCA...), are thorough, and are considerate of expense.

We walked in and instead of being greeted they continued to talk amongst themselves, then as my girlfriend went to tell them why they were here because they didnt care she got interrupted to be asked if we were together? Like obviously we were lmao id keep complaining but you get the just. There rude

Such a great and friendly animal care center. The Vets are amazing and really do care about your pet. I was just in there and was really impressed with their service. Even though I had an apt. and had to wait 45 min, the Vet that helped me with my dog (Charlie) made up for it. Our pets are our babies and you want to make sure they get the best care and I really feel like my dog gets that here. Keep up the great work! :)

Dr. Thompson was SO great with my dog, who is very scared around new people and new places. She made my dog (and myself) feel welcomed and in very good hands. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend Dr. Thompson!

My dog Cocco had an emergency a few weeks ago and Downtown Animal care did the surgery that same day and their cost was very affordable. All the people that works there are really compassionate, and really care about our pets. Cocco passes away today because of other complications and this center offered all the help they could to help me with this process. I sincerely recommend this Vet place. It's the best in Colorado for sure.

I have been going DDAC for years, that are so busy now that you are just a number to them. All the experienced Dr are no longer there and replaced with young and lack of experience Dr. The help you get now verses a few years ago does not even compair.

I took my dog there to get fixed. They did not do the surgery and I understood why. I accept that fact. I have used this vet on multiple occasions and had amazing experiences. This time was not the case.

When scheduling the appointment I told the receptionist multiple times my phone number had changed and still she did not change my information. I was not even given pre-op instructions. When showing up with my dog I was met at the door with them showing me a bill over 600 for another procedure they wanted to do. It caught me so off guard. My husband and I like to have time to think over everything before we say yes.

When called an hour and half later by the vet tech to tell me they could not do the procedure, I was told they did not give my dog sedation.

When I picked him up I initially was ignored by the receptionist. After paying and waiting for my dog I was approached by a vet tech. With others in the waiting room I was lectured on the collar my dog was in. There were exam rooms open that we could have had that conversation in.

When I finally got my dog, he was clearly sedated. It wasn't until 10p that night that my dog actually started perking up and started resembling his normal self.

After the public humiliation, getting caught off guard with a surprise procedure and clearly a lack of communication; we will not be taking any of our animals back.

I'm quite surprised how well I felt they actually cared about patient care. They took great care of our 1 y/o Male huskey mix, did well on communicating about the neuter process and even called to check on him the next morning. I would recommend this office to those who are looking for a more affordable place to keep up with all the veterinary needs. Thank you for taking such good care of Summit!

These people exceeded my expectations of veterinary care and human beings! They saved my cat's life when i could not find anyone else to help me..the quotes i were given and care refused were over 3k till i called this clinic. They saved my cats life and made it so i could pay. She had large lacerations. I took her here about 15x and love everyone here for helping me and ira! Do not go anywhere else! I never will again!

What an amazing Vet! I can't express enough how wonderful and caring they are. If you are looking for a vet that cares for your animals as much as you do, then look no further than Downtown Animal Care Center. Not only do they provide the highest quality care, the are extremely responsive and very affordable.

My cat passed away on the way to the hospital. She had some freak illness like an aneurism. David, a staff member was so kind to me. He let me sit with her in their bereavement room. They let me take as much time as I needed. He even asked if I wanted him to call somebody to be with me. He explained all the options I have for burial etc. They made me a copy of her paw & they sent a sympathy card. Wonderful.

They microchipped my 10 year old dog into someone else's name without questioning proof of ownership, then told me it couldn't be changed unless the person who's name they put on the microchip gave permission which she declined. They gave him shots and neutered him as well. Granted I know it's best to neuter dogs to prevent over population of dogs, but it's the principle. This is awful practice and reported to the Better Business Bureau.
In reply to your response below: we determined that the woman forged a handwritten note from me stating I relinquished him. The manager of your store stated she would reach out to the woman and follow up with me on Wednesday, it is now Friday and I still haven't received a callback. I have left messages on the voicemail at Downtown Animal Care Center and I'm still waiting for someone to respond.
This woman has claimed she has used your services to do this for many cats and dogs which is unsettling. There are people who never stop searching for their lost pets and the could be out their microchipped under another person's name because of forgery. I'm part of a huge networking group that help reunite lost dogs with their owner and this is a big deal.
The woman does not in any way represent H2M2, she does not work for them. H2M2 is is not a rescue it is a transport service.

Very friendly staff and some of the lowest pricing I've seen in a veterinary office. I left my old office due to pricing and how they weren't personable with the animals anymore. Glad i switched to here

Such sweet and knowledgeable staff here. The vets and front desk folks are always so kind. Reasonable prices for your lil (or big) one, from our experience, spaying & vaccinations of our cats. Every single time an animal comes in the employees all light up and enthusiastically talk to them. They treat your animals so good its heart warming.

Hey guys, vet student here. It sounds like the clinic is guilty of gross negligence and malpractice. Even if it was an equipment malfunction that killed an animal, the hospital is responsible for checking the equipment. The owners who lost their pets during routine neuters should be reporting this hospital at least. Or filing malpractice suits.

Pay attention to the negative reviews. Too many for a reputable veterinary business. They are hustlers. I made an appointment for yearly shots and a med refill. Neither happened, no med refill nor was his shots updated but they wanted to charge me $200 for something I didn t want. Then the front desk help yelled at me. Really. Again, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.

I recently purchased a puppy package here and now scrambling to find another vet to see my puppy. If that s ALL you are looking for in a vet, then this would be a good place. They were nice and helpful at the time of the appointment; however, I do not recommend them because if anything goes wrong they will not be there to help. My almost 11 week old puppy has chronic and severe diarrhea (likely coccidiosis for reasons I know of) and I called 1 minute after they opened to make an appointment- I was told they did not have anything for 2 weeks and to reach out to Maxfund down the street. I was hoping to find a vet that I could stay with and would work with my dog but being sent to other vets because they are too booked is not what I hoped for with my veterinarian. I can see from reviews below, this is a concern of others as well.

Be prepared to hop around to other vets if your dog has an issue or emergency.

I've been taking two dogs to this location for three years and always have wonderful service and short waiting times. The vet really cares about your concerns and is kind and gentle with the animals. I moved to centennial and still make the drive downtown, totally worth it.

Avoid this clinic. The customer service is terrible and the quality of communication between staff and the doctors must be too, according to my experience. I did not receive an email verification for my appointment so I called in. They let me know that it is auto and might take a bit of time. I waited three hours and still did not get that confirmation so called back.

This time Meghan, the lady I talked to before to make appointment was at lunch and Veronica answered. She just says that "normally we do not send emails ourselves..." and goes on to repeat what Meghan had already said to avoid taking the initiative of simply just shooting an email. I get the same thing from Veronica.Instead of insisting, she requests my information to report to her manager. All I wanted was written confirmation. Technology is in place to help us complete our tasks to get the job done, if that technology fails we still are responsible for those tasks.

The only reason I am even requesting a new appointment is because the doctor I saw last week is apparently out for an entire month with no warning. So I basically have to start all over with a new doctor there because her notes did not say I could receive the oral antibiotics she told me I could call in if shot doesn't work within a week.

People will do anything to avoid completing a task they feel like is below them. My experience here today has reminded me of that.

The vets here saved my puppy's life. He was diagnosed with parvo, 2 weeks after we got him from a friend. They treated him right away and worked with me on the cost of his stay (3 day hospitalization with 24/hr IV drips) which hit almost $2k. They treated him with the best care possible, updated me twice a day when I called to check on him, and did excellent follow-up care for us. This is the only place we take him for his care. Wonderful staff, wonderful work, wonderful facility.

today I had an appointment for my dog at 9:30 am. It was 10:05 and nobody was telling me why it was taking so long. After I asked if they were behind on schedule, they said yes. Minutes later, they came back to tell me it was going to take at least another 30 minutes for my dog to be seeing by the vet.
As a business owner, if I am behind on schedule to the point that clients will have to wait an hour or more, I would call them and let them know what is going on and re schedule their appointment if there is a need to do so.
Not a nice experience.
