I had called about an hour and a half ahead of my appointment time asking about the procedures for a UA. They explained to me that the more fresh/recent of a catch the better. I arrived at my appointment a little more than 30min early and explained who I was and that my dog's urine was fresh within the past 20min, and asked if they could run the UA as soon as possible for most accurate results. The receptionist assured me they would take care of it right away. I then waited another 50min (20 minutes past my apt time) before being taken back to a room. A tech then entered the room and asked a few questions and said the vet would be in shortly. We waited another 15min before someone came in and spoke with us. This vet had then explained that there was a more accurate way to get a sample of her urine through ultra sound and a small needle into her bladder (something the receptionist did not offer). He assured me that if they couldn't get a sample or clear reading they would not proceed or charge me. After another 15min waiting he came back saying her cavity wall was too thick and couldn't get a sample (so they attempted with the needle a few times before deciding they couldn't get a sample). The vet then said they would have to use the first urine sample. It was only then that I realized the original sample I brought in was never touched! It was sitting there for 2 hours!! So not only was I being offered the original services that I HAD FIRST REQUESTED, but now the results will be EVEN LESS accurate than they could have ever been! Long story short people, I wanted the most cost efficient and accurate help for my dog today and this place couldn't have cared less about how much time they had taken/not communicating effectively between staff members and between staff and clients. I tried to do my part by calling ahead to get the info, arriving early, and specifically asking for the services I knew I wanted (the UA from the fresh catch when it was freshly caught). However, this place seems to be okay with mediocre service and moving forward using results that could have been more accurate (but are not) for treatment.
