This center really took care of our little fella Bruttus! I highly recommend this animal center.

Dr. Nicole Thompson unprofessional. A buddy of mine had follow-up questions for her because the surgery she performed on his dog looks questionable. Rather than inspect the wound and address any concerns he had and possibly put his mind at ease, she discharges him from the hospital without a second thought. How is that kind of behavior towards a concerned patient appropriate?

Not very good service because they wouldnt let me adopted a puppy because of the little kid age.

Great veterinarian office. Helpful staff and great doctors.
They also have a reduced fee vaccination clinic on Sundays from 10am to 3pm. First come first served.

Took our dog here about a week ago. The people where so nice and treated our dog awesome!

Took my dog for the rabies shot and distemper shot for $15 each. Staff were really nice and friendly, will go back!

I took my little puppy here when she got sick they gave us best treatment so kind and considerate! I love this place!

Had a great experience going to this clinic Marisa was really respectful for helping me and being so caring for my dog waiting a little long in the parking lot but overall good care center :)

I started with their Sunday vaccination clinics and spay/neutering services as they were cheaper than my other vet. When my first lab was 19 yrs old and needed to move on from this world, I went there and the experience put me at ease for a very hard decision. They have a room designated for euthanasia with a couch and a rug on the floor where you can snuggle with your pet as she/he passes on. You're given as much time as you need to say goodbye. Over the past 14 years, sadly, I've said goodbye to 3 of my companions there. But they also have access to cremation services and I have beautiful urns and even a paw print plaque. Sherie, Biscuit, and Georgia passed painlessly in my arms in a setting worthy of their loyalty.
I now take my pets there for everything. I get email reminders addressed to the specific pet when vaccinations due and they even get Happy Birthday notices!

Love this clinic! I dont even live in the neighborhood anymore and still take my pets to be seen. Super friendly staff and doctors and they see all breeds, which means a lot to me and my "Pitbull."

Always helpful!!.. Not so good for emergencys!!.. But by appt they are very helpful cheap to..

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience here. I showed up to my appointment which is located next to a mental hospital for the homeless. Right when I pulled up to men walked over to my car and started looking inside my car on the driver side. I was honestly terrified. They kept walking around my car. I didn t feel safe enough to get out of my car. I highly don t recommend coming here alone.

The world already has enough dingbats with access to a keyboard; I don t want this establishments reputation to suffer because I had a singular encounter which wasn t perfect.
The staff do work hard to support all the animals in their care.

Please try to make sure all the staff go over everything (treatment plans, courses of actions, medications, vital info) at least twice with new patients please....that s all.

i am very choosy about vet care, the entire staff is AWESOME! Downtown Animal Care Center staff (entire staff) is so caring and know the meaning of customer service! Have been recommending them to anyone looking for vet care.

The staff was REALLY rude there and they didn't explain that no one was allowed in the building when i made the appointment I will never go back there or recommend anyone to that clinic. There was no need to treat a client the way i was treated. I called repeatedly the clinic number and no one ever answered.

They never gave up on my seriously ill new puppy. He recovered under their care. Thank you so much for saving Charlies life.

So I have been taking my dogs here for the last three years and really was very pleased untill my most recent appointment. The staff was great, but when the vet came in, she stepped into the room glanced at my dog, did not even touch or feel the dog to evaluate his condition, instead she left the room came back after a few minutes with an itemized quote on how much surgery would be for what she thought it was...I asked if xrays could be taken...she left the room again and brought back another quote for the xrays. I asked if they could be taken that day she said no I would have to schedule that for another time.

I've been taking both of my dogs to this office for years. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It's great to have a vet that can care for my dogs without breaking the bank.

This is a fantastic vet! We go here for everytging from shots to getting our dogs neutered. Their shot clinic is very cheap and the techs really know what they are doing. Above all else they are super cheap.

Very busy long wait for drop off. Marisa came out to offer water twice and asked twice if I was being helped already. Overall can t complain for the price I paid.

The quality care and service here is truly outstanding.

The veterinarian that we worked with, cared enough when I mentioned that our dog had a teeth cleaning scheduled in July, she checked her mouth and asked "why? Her teeth look great, their is no hard tarter build up, she has one broken tooth but it is not currently causing any pain or problems"! A vet that wanted to save us some money and our dog some unnecessary pain.

The front desk staff where very pleasant to work with and the office was well kept, clean, and professional.

Took terrible care of my cat, doctor had no interest in being kind or gentle.

Not happy with the doctors at all. Always a different person who has their own opinion of what could be a concern. First my cat is diabetic, now he needs special $50 prescription food, now the food is making him fatter so take him off, put him on canned food diet, give $300 insulin, now too much insulin and he's hypoglycemic. Lets test his blood everytime he comes in at $80 charge. I've spent a fortune taking advice from these people. Maybe this place is ok for a general check up but please get a second opinion if you think there is any serious issues. My cat is fine. He runs and plays and is very happy. I do not give insulin or special diets.

The nurse man-handled my dog, giving her a treat and then grabbed the upper part of my dog s jaw to look at something on the eye, trying to restrain her thrashing head. Then she has the nerve to ask if my dog is normally aggressive when my dog started barking at her. Seriously? You just tricked and grappled my dog. She doesn t trust you and felt attacked.
The doctor comes in, my dog is frightened and barked at her, and the doctor began YELLING AT MY DOG. I was so shocked by the behavior of this staff that I just wanted to walk out and leave.
Y alls staff is going to get mauled by a dog that actually is aggressive if you can get my girl that worked up.

Took my cat Ramona to the downtown animal care center for a UTI issue. The office was very quick to get us in which was great. The tech seemed great. Asking questions and getting to the bottom of the issue as a typical vet tech should. The tech left the room and called Doctor Livia into further the exam.
Doc Livia did her exam and states well we need to do blood work and get some urine. So she gets blood and then sent me home with a urine collection kit. I collect the urine and go back up and give them the Urine. An hour letter she calls and says yes it s UTI and we need to get her on anabiotic s. I immediately say OK and head up there to purchase the anabiotic s.

Total bill is $275. I m thinking okay that not too bad.

I get home give RaMona the anabiotic s in about an hour later she can t walk and is out of it. I immediately called the vet and had to leave a message and never got a call back. I called back a day later left another voicemail to not receive a call back. Two days later I received a phone call from Dr. Livia She states well have you given her a half dose yet? No I was never instructed to do that. She says oh well sounds like she s having a bad reaction do you mind coming in to make me another appointment. However the next appointment is not til next week.

My cat is older and has had this issue before.
I did let the vet know that I took her to another vet in broomfield called broomfield Veterinarian Hospital.
She failed to reach out and pull records and even care that this may be an ongoing issue that may need looking into. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS WELL BEING. ALL THEY ARE ABOUT IS THE CASH YOU HAVE!

I would avoid this clinic! The staff, really bitchy, rude, and unprofessional when I showed up for my 9:30am appointment . Gave me attitude because they told me I should have been here at 9am. I showed them my voice mail and Veronica stated 9:30 for today. When originally the appointment was made for 10am, earlier in the week. No apologies from both women. Just a shrug of shoulders. Telling to have a seat. I asked about rescheduling but they said a room would open up. So, waited around for 30 min in the waiting room, then another 45 min in the examining room. Probable longer if I did not walk out to see if anybody was going to help me.
Then Dr. Cotter told me he would be in soon, from behind the desk. The lady working with Veronica told the vet I was late in a snobby whisper! Right in front of me! Why she thought trying to make me look bad is beyond me. Then Dr. Cotter was rude to me when I told him I was not late. After that exchange I walked out. Don t want this staff touching my dog. Especially Dr. Cotter! They really do not care about people or dogs!
Looks like all they care about is saving there butts and making sure a they all got a burrito from the food guy, the world stop for him! Wow. Bad managment!

I have used this clinic a couple times in the past for both my cats and my dog. I brought Odin there for a neuter appointment and they did an outstanding job, they even cleaned him up after he woke up from the anesthesia and ended up having diarrhea. However, most services after that have been sub-par.

Odin typically gets ear infections and I took him to this clinic approximately 5 times I believe over a course of a year. The last 2 visits were awful (during Covid pandemic). My 2nd to last trip, I was told he had a MINOR ear infection in one of his ears, they gave him some medications that they had provided before and told me to make a follow up appointment in 2 weeks to get checked again, so I did. That last appointment I went back and once again dropped Odin off and waited outside due to Covid. After over a hour I got a call from the receptionist asking for payment. I asked what work was done since it was nearly another $80 and she did not know but just read off the invoice. She then asked if I wanted to speak to the Doctor, a male but I don't recall his name, and he seemed pretty clueless on what he had done... He ended up saying that Odin still had an ear infection, gave him the same medications and told me to schedule another follow-up in 2 weeks. I reminded him that Odin was already here for a follow up and then proceeded to ask me the same questions that he asked on my second to last trip. He didn't seem to know what he was doing and was just dosing my dog up on the same garbage that was provided to him 2 weeks prior.

Additionally, I brought my 2 cats in to get rabies vaccinations. I admit, coming from a country town in Western New York, we typically don't consider all these shots that cats are supposed to get since, well, they are 100% indoors. I admitted to the Vet that they were past due for Rabies vaccinations but I wanted to get them up to date and an annual checkup. All I got from this lady was a complete lecture and that Animal Control should be called. I told her to go do the service that I requested or I would leave and go elsewhere. She took them back and upon bringing them out I got another lecture on how overweight one of my cats is and that I should immediately get blood work done on him to ensure he has no issues. I asked her if he was displaying any issues that would cause her to think this and she simply said "he is very obese". He is domestic long hair cat that is barely over 14lbs. Without providing any true medical reason for additional testing, I told her that we were leaving.

All in all, I think this clinic is good for your standard neuter/spay or to receive vaccinations. But using them for any additional service, IMO, is a waste of time and money. I will say that I always have a pleasant experience with the Vet Techs who seem to care more than the actual Vets

Staff is always friendly and services are reasonably priced. They have taken great care of our animals.

Pricing at this vet is much more reasonable then any other vet that I have been to. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

I had to put my sweet tuxedo of 12yrs down. Shelly the vet made it really ok, it crushed me and thank you for caring and thank you for taking care of his brother and my new kitten. I won't go anywhere else

I arrived 7 minutes late, exactly, according to my phone. The person who answered the phone said she doubted they could still see my dog, who was vomiting blood, because I was "close to ten minutes late." They came out with a report, 5 minutes later that stated I was 9 minutes and 56 seconds late and that was "basically 10 minutes" and that the vet wouldn't "get a lunch." I used to refer this clinic to everyone I knew, but after seeing the attitude from their techs, I can't trust my dog's safety, even in an emergency situation, with this place. They have issues with scheduling and costumer service. How disappointing.

We had taken out puppy here for a while , our dog had alopecia so they claimed , which is hair loss, we were told she had a generltic disorder and alopecia x , we paid hundreds of dollars for bogus blood tests .
I was told about another vet, we decided to take out dog to another clinic , they quicky diagnosed she had a skin allergy and treated her appropriately.
Out puppy now has her hair back and they also diagnosed a problem with her spinal issue , sowntoy animal clinic never looked into and now our dog has been treated her for problem . These people took our money and did nothing for our puppy.
Thank god for true prossionals who care about animals and do thier job..
Steer away from this place if you want to save your dogs health.

The Vets and staff here are amazing! They take such great care of pets and their owners!

Low cost clinic that loves the fur babies they help. We had our dog spayed and they were so good about explaining what to expect and look out for. Any questions we had were answered promptly and even the stupid questions were treated with respect.

I had very good care with all 4 of my animals ..they treated them like they was family.They will always be who we take are animals too.

Downtown Animal Care Center has always been there for our dog Munchkin either by answering questions over the phone, having the Sunday discount day and being able to see her still through Covid-19 by offering curbside service. Also they have very fair pricing on most anything you have done for your pet. We will continue to use and recommend Downtown Animal Care Center to all of our friends that have fur babies! Thank you for being there for us when we have needed a Vet. We will see you again in the future. Thank you again!

I have been here a few times for shots and minor things, and they have always been nice and friendly. Sometimes the desk staff seems a bit overwhelmed when they are busy, but they have always been friendly. That said, I have never taken my pups in even for a spay/neuter and don't know that I have ever seen an actual vet, just the technicians. Their Sunday clinics for shots are a lifesaver on my wallet, and they are fine for that.
That said, I have never felt totally comfortable taking my dogs in for anything requiring anaesthesia. I have a breed that can be sensitive to anaesthesia and are brachycephalic dogs, and when I inquired there about a spay they didn't seem to know about the blood test to test for anesthesia sensitivity and didn't think any other precautions were necessary for this type of dog, they were just too casual about it. For anything big I go to Broadview over in Aurora bc they don't break the bank and they do know what they are doing. (Not always the most gentle, but they are very capable).

I think this place is sort of a discount place and you can sometimes get what you pay for, but I personally have not had any bad experiences, but still not sure I trust them.
*Update* Sundays they do shots without a technician fee, you pay only for the shots 10-3 pm. Got bordatella, rabies and distemper (25 lb dog) and it was $55 out the door. The line was long, out the door, and the wait took about an hour and a half.

Have been bringing my pets for years the techs and vets have all been friendly and knowledgeable my dog has had 3 cancerous tumors removed the care was exceptional and the bills were affordable for a blue collar worker

The service and employee's are awesome. The hours long line to wait in on sunday not so much.. ill keep driving down to see if i get lucky one sunday

After my cat was vomiting blood, Dr. Cotter did an X-Ray and found a mass in her stomach. He told me she was "toast" and would die overnight. Terrible bedside manner, and would not recommend going to a vet this insensitive.

I really love the staff and atmosphere at this vet! I just moved to Denver about a year ago and had to put one of my kitties down very suddenly about 6 months ago and we went to another vet nearby and had such a horrible experience so when I took my newest kitty here to get neutered it was such a welcomed change of atmosphere for me. The staff are all so helpful and friendly and didn't get annoyed or angry when I called about 10 times after the surgery with questions. I highly reccomend this veterinary office!

Compared to other places, this place is more affordable. The people who work here that I encountered, were nice. I will keep coming here. And I recommend this place.

My Older Boxer CHICO received IV treatment and very GOOD care . It felt safe leaving my BIG BABY CHICO behind in the care of staff. I brought him in with a fever of 104. Was not eating or drinking. Vomiting , Had the runs and was weak. I decided to bring him to their clinic after receiving care at the AURORA ANIMAL HOSPITAL on Smokey Hill the day before and they did NOT DO ANYTHING FOR HIS SYMPTOMS plus i left with a huge bill.
I am so thankful for Dr. Brooks and her team for the medical attention they gave my CHICO after a set of x-rays , IV- fluids with meds, 3 different medications given to take home. He was able to come home and receive lots of love and continue his care to help with his recovery. He still needs treatment but does look a little better. Thank you Dr.Brooks and the staff that cared for our CHICO BOY . I will take him in on Monday for his appointment to continue with treatment.

I had a very sick dog and they told me where to go that i could afford and still get the best care. It was about my dog getting the best help not them getting the most money. They lost a dollar to save a dog. Thank you for your help. Thats an honest vet looking out for my well being in being able to afford the help needed and not going broke while doing it. My baby needed a lot of work and we all know that the vet is costly.

Our puppy whom we weren't sure of the mix( we knew the mother bit not the father) was given a very thorough examination and at the end the vet helped us to determine the mix. Very insightful crew.

The Office has it TOGETHER, especially Marisa on the front desk.
After taking my dog here for 9 years, we moved to the warmer weather of New Mexico.
I called the office to let them know and to get records sent to me.
While in the phone conversation with me Marisa had emailed me
with the pdf. all while having an engaged conversation with me...total time: 2 minutes.
For a new customer I would say you are in good hands, I took advantage of the Sunday walk-in vaccination clinic to save money.
They are proactive in contacting you for your pets scheduled needs.
You will like them.

These guys are great. They're friendly and knowledgeable. They make is feel special and treat our dog with respect.

I can not say enough great things about this facility. My Golden has had a lump on his neck for going on 3 months now and I had been taking him to a corporate vet (not to name any names) and it was costing me an arm and a leg simply to walk in the door there every time. They were constantly wanting to do more of the same tests and rounds of antibiotics that I knew weren't truly working. Fast forward to last Thursday, on a whim, I took my Golden here and within an hour they had ran all the normal tests and schedule him for an exploratory surgery that day! Come to find out he had a piece of wood lodged in his throat that had turned into an abscess. For the last 3 months! They immediately got it out and flushed out the area and inserted a drain to help get all the bad stuff out. I am taking him back tomorrow to get the drain out and FINALLY be on the road to recovery. The doctors and staff truly want to do right by you and your pets here and they are not looking to make money off of you. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Truly an exceptional practice!

Was going to take my cat here due to excellent prices,does not take walking but can make an appointment. I saw a mean woman berating the poor staff over misspelling on her pet's name. I felt terrible for the staff I wish they could have refused that woman service.

Don't take your pets here. They broke my dogs ribs, trying to give him his shots. They then over dosed him in shots so he would be extra loopy and I wouldn't catch on. They said he would be really slow and sore for the next several days and that was okay... which he was until I can home after work and he was dead. I took him to CSU to get a necropsies and they said his death happened because of broken ribs. They were the cause of it and they tried to flip the story on me saying that they were going to sue me for animal abuse. If you love your pets DO NOT GO HERE. There are so many better places out there than this garbage location.

This is the worst place you can bring your animal. They do not take vital signs on your pets, the do not ask questions, they just give your animal it's vaccines and shuffle you out the door no matter how healthy they are or if they don't feel good. This is the worst standard of care you could give your animal. This is twice now I have had issues. I will NEVER refer anyone here or ever bring any of my animals back. They do not care about the health of your animal. DO NOT take your animals to this place. They deserve better care than this cheap place!

Worst clinic ever if I could I wouldn't even give 1 star. Took my precious pup in for his neutered visit and he didn't come home with us. Due to a human error, and negligence on the staffs end they failed to check their machines admitting to it being their fault, they killed my pup after stating the machines were checked the day before and that since that they didn't think it was important to re check their equipment. The pop up valve was left closed which basically filled my pups lungs with air leading to the death of our pupoy, sickening part was he never got neutered was never cut. Horrible, all they could offer was to pay for his ashes and his paw prints. We left having to explain their stupidity to our kids and heart break. Avoid them

Dr. Nicole Thompson is a horrible vet. Whenever someone has a concern for her, she becomes dismissive and unprofessional. She discharges people from the practice whenever a pet owner is questioning a procedure and just wants to be more well informed. Don t trust this place or this woman with your fur babies.

We have taken 2 of our dogs here for different things. We have also had two of our dogs cross the rainbow bridge here. They are very kind and caring. We have only had one vet tech give us attitude. Everyone else is super nice.

Great service for the pets and great costumer service. Low prices really recommend.

I have hopped from vet to vet unsatisfied until I found Downtown Animal Care. Their prices are very affordable and they give great care but I really have to give praise to Dr. Farnsworth. She is an absolutely amazing vet. I take all 6 of my animals to her and my parents take their animals to her as well. She is so caring for the animals, treating them as if they are her own. She is still excited about being a vet and I just can't say enough wonderful things about her.

Downtown Animal Care Center has very reasonable prices and if you're looking for a vet that will call you right away this is the clinic for you.

Our 1st appt, late in day, yet we were put in exam room Very Quickly & saw same happening to all other pets that came in as we waited for xrays to be completed
AND Great Communication with Vet, 1st in exam room, helping us decide what-if any-tests to be done(-all with fixed costs), clear explanation of what vet suspected might be going on with our cat, Options to Choose(all, most important for getting best info, best within $$ I could spend that day). Then, Clear explanation of: What was Found by tests, What Treatment Options, Medications to start with, other Home Care also to help, What to Watch for & When To Check Back with treatment results or any other concerns that arise.
Overall- Wonderful to have found this Clinic!! Great People, Place, Location, & All This in a setting where there is No 'Hustle' to get more & more money for things not needed... just the Best, Solid, Honest Care given by people who have our family & pet's best care & comfort as their objective!

Really bad customer service, the whole staff lack communication with you, including facility owner who I spoke to name (Coleen). When communicating they come to you aggressively and not polite and then management don't want to do anything when you address issues with her, not even an apology.
