Very nice hotel. We loved the suite we stayed in with private access to the pool. The suite was very large with multiple rooms. I like how the rooms are somewhat separate from one another. We plan to stay here again.
Great Hotel with a nice pool area. Cab/Uber to the bars is a short ride away.

The hotel was being renovated while we were here so the staff was kind of sparse and one of the pools was closed but I am still giving 5 stars because we knew this before we came and the price was adjusted accordingly.
Other than the construction, this had more of the feel of a resort than a hotel. My wife and I spent 4 days here and it felt like a relaxing full week! It was hot when we were there and we walked to downtown Scottsdale every day in the sun but the staff treated us to ice cold bottled water every time we ventured out.
The shuttle has a limited range and would take us to Downtown Scottsdale but we wanted to walk and get exercise. One time it did come in handy was picking us up at the grocery store. We didn't want to have to haul our stuff back to the hotel.
The pool was relaxing, they have tennis, two beautiful pools, great staff and a great location.
The pool was great and well taken care of. The weight room was also great as well the basketball courts. 4/5 Other people there were loud and kinda drunk.
Property management company rented one of the biggest spaces available. Food was good and service was good. Very clean and modern building. Customer service representatives were attentive and helpful. Overall quality experience.
We dropped by for lunch outside on their patio which is located in their inner courtyard. We're very glad we did as it was not busy at all and it was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the 2 sandwiches we ordered and service was good. The server even whipped up some spicy mayo for us. We'd certainly consider coming back and even staying at the hotel.
Excellent hotel in close proximity to restaurants and shopping. They also have a shuttle that takes you within a two mile radius, which is great for exploring the area. The pool areas are nice and relaxing with nice lounge chairs and ample towels available.
The staff was nice at check in. Grounds are just ok. Rooms are old and open up to the outside. We found half a dozen little spiders inside the bed sheets. How does that happen? Room service said it would be 30mins+ to get a turn down service to change the sheets. Person on the phone was NOT nice. I will never come back here. Regret booking. Photos online are kinda deceptive. Took too long, they didn t care, so we left and tried to cancel res.
The DoubleTree is a wonderful location for a conference. There are a lot of meeting spaces, in a variety of sizes. There is a lot of parking but not a lot of direct access to the front of the hotel from the parking lot.
Great service by Greg the van driver. Lovely check-in process and superbly comfortable king bed (probably the comfiest ever).

They have an amazing front office staff. The room I had was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and had excellent variety. I think you get good value for the price. I'll be coming back for sure.
Everyone was really helpful while we were working here and knew how to deal with any conflicts that came up.

In my fifteen years working in the hospitality industry, I have never been so violated! I stayed at this property four nights (August 2017) for my brothers wedding. I am a Hilton employee and frequent traveler. During my stay, in my haste I neglected to utilize the in-room safe resulting in my irreplaceable keepsake along with my cash being stolen from a closed zipper compartment inside of my bag. I was more than generous making sure to leave the housekeeper a tip EVERYDAY. One particular day, I even went out of my way to locate the housekeeper and tip her after discovering upon return , my room had been serviced before I had the opportunity to leave a proper tip. At Hilton we are a family. We strive to make every guest experience as accommodating, comfortable, and safe as possible. Unfortunately, my extended Hilton family at this property chose not to live up to this standard. I have notified management, currently awaiting follow-up.
They refused to honor the team member dining discount via room service although the food comes from the same outlet.
Rooms are in need of update.
Contacting any department via phone takes time so be prepared to wait for an answer.

Henri the pool bartender was AWESOME! He provided the Hilton quality of service I expected. I was able to spend an entire day relaxing at 1 of 2 beautiful pools at this property. Also, Kathan (AM server) was a ROCKSTAR!!! She personally cooked our eggs to perfection after the cooked failed to do so, while providing timely customer service.
The common areas were very well kept and the bell staff for the most part were accommodating.
Unfortunately what I loss was sentimental and irreplaceable, I am heart broken.
It was serene and beautifully groomed grounds. The pools were clean with all the amenities. Room was very nice. Very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The patios are a very nice touch. I would highly recommend this place.
Staff was VERY nice. Room is okay. Stayed here because a co worker traveling with me selected the location. I felt like I was being punked on a tv show when trying to locate my room. The bar tender literally came from behind the bar to help locate on the property map. I would not stay here again for a business trip because of the maze that it takes to walk outside to find your room in the heat after a long flight. Glad it wasn't raining while dragging my luggage across the desert journey. However, the AC works great, Thank God! I would maybe recommend to a family traveling through on a leisure trip and in need of an affordable rate. Carpet looks gross, would not walk on without flip flops. I like the patio. Room service was good.

Unfortunately a bit older. The room doors are in a very desolate condition. The room entrance area and bathroom look terribly old as well as the wardrobe. It's not like the n 4 star house!
Grounds need cleaning. Rooms, pool, and lobby were super clean.

of the company changed the pricing and said "smoking rooms cost $29 per night
and 59 for the cheapest non-smoking noons. That is the way it is.
NO higher level manager would interfere. I refuse to pay extra for non-smoking.
That is illogical. Harming guests seems to be ok.
I would never ever return; when a hotel wants 2x the price of their
previous year for a smoke free environment.

Had a great conference here. Very much enjoyed the rooms and the beautiful grounds. About 7 of us wished the jacuzzi was hotter, though. Haha.
Good WiFi. Breakfast service is a bit weak. Get the buffet. Roma are very nice, thigh my corner room's view was mostly of the parking lot.
Beautiful landscaping. Relaxing pools. Perfect weather while we were there!
Comfortable rooms, great staff, main restaurant has great food, gym has plenty of well kept machines, the pool staff is very attentive with drinks and food. My only complaint is that they need to step up the pest control. There were a lot of mosquitoes and actually saw a rat on the pool deck!

Layout is a little confusing. Asked for an extra blanket and was happily provided one but it was itchy. Spent the majority of our time in the conference space which was nice and service staff were spectacular.
This hotel had a resort feel to it. They spared no expense when creating the ambiance. The fountain was breathtaking, the decor was vibrant, but the most enjoyable part if my stay was the kind, considerate, and helpful staff. You will not be disappointed bybyour stay here.

Pool is great, just need more umbrellas for the sitting area by the pool. Called the front desk because there was a group of people drinking using glass bottles and smoking inside the pool area, no one ever came.
The resort itself is nice, but the hotel charges you for everything besides the bare necessities. It's 2017 and they don't provide complementary wifi, and it doesn't help that I got absolutely zero service in my room on my phone, so any time I wanted to make a phone call or use the internet I had to leave my room and go to an open area.

Had to come here to fix a problem with my rental car. Everyone was friendly and helped me fix my issue. I had a great experience.
The forum was very nice, although the acoustics were subpar and it was hard to hear the speaker. Also, the scrambled eggs that they served us seemed undercooked.
Lost my jacket I went back for 3 days and nobody could help me except with giving me the run-around

This hotel has very bad customer service and the management treat people as if they are beneath them. Lastly, their descrimimlnatory actions by describing my group by "them people" or "You People" was enough for me never to allow them to receive my dollars. If you choose to have anything here your day will be less than perfect.
Pool is filthy. Unprepared staff w info at chk in. Was really disappointed. Would never think was a Hilton resort. Ugh
DoubleTree's standard has gone down the toilet. I have just returned from Scottsdale, AZ DoubleTree Resort. The room I was given had mosquitoes so I had asked the Hotel to spray while we were gone on Day 1. Upon return to the room, I saw a cockroach walking by my bed so I stumped on it. The Hotel didn't seem that surprised when they came to check it out; being on the 1st floor. So they asked me if I wanted to change room? Wait, should that event be a question? Hell yeah, I want to change room.
The new room on the 2nd floor is much better and I try not to open the door or windows; although it was a 110+ degree weekend.
Breakfast - Apparently guests were having issues with the Waffle machine as I did.. All came under cooked. The sad thing is.. none of the employees cared.. My son refused to eat there for the remaining of our stay. Except the last day.. Breakfast was unmentionable.. we left within 5 minutes.
By the way, Management never asked or drop me a note apologizing for the cockroach.. this might be a frequent occurrence.
I strongly suggest everyone to WASH everything.. Don't bring back cockroaches.
I am beginning to question my Hilton Honor Membership. It seems to be every Hilton/DoubleTree hotel I visited had issues.
Went for a weekend getaway. The pool (1 of 2) was fantastic. Our room was great, very comfortable. Only downside was the buffet wasn't included with the room and was very pricey for an average spread. I would still stay here again as there are great food options nearby in all directions.
The rooms, service, and staff was exceptional. Stacey at the front desk was very helpful and made our stay even better. Beautiful grounds and nice pool areas. Would definitely stay here again.
Awesome room atmosphere! Tasteful mid century **western** decor. Check out that ceiling! I want it in my own house! Lemon trees outside the door are almost ripe too!
This hotel charged the credit card that I used to reserve the room with (just to hold the room no charge was to be made) even though we paid with a different card. I booked the room through them, not a booking agency. It takes them forever to answer the phone, and calls to accounting go to voice mail. I have yet to speak to anyone letting me know that I will be refunded for the money they basically stole from me. Our bill was paid in full with the other card.
Shouldn't be a Hilton. Rooms are old and gross. Staff is unfriendly. This has to be the most overrated hotel I. Scottsdale.
If you are the kind of person who is easy to please and only wants a bed for the night - then no worries this one will work.
If however you don't appreciate the perfume like qualities of mold/mildew in your room, you need a dead-bolt that works, or interior access (all rooms 'walk-up' accessible from the public street with no security) .. or an air conditioning unit that doesn't rattle incessently then you should think twice.
My stay was additionally salted by a room-keying system that failed (unable to issue room keys) and by neighbors involved in a full-on domestic squabble that brought 4 of Scottsdale's finest to my door at midnight.
Additionally, the bathroom is poorly laid out with the toilet strangely and inconveniently positioned too near the sink - resulting in the back of your calf touching the toilet bowl when using the sink area. Not a huge problem but distasteful all the same.

The location is convienent to old Scottsdale. The rooms are spacious and accommodating, however the AC is pretty loud. The water to the room (the whole hotel?) was shut off for a while unexpectedly.

What a fabulous getaway! 2 story resort hotel offers 2 pools and numerous bars and restaurants plus Starbucks. Free limo service into Old Town and everyone was friendly and helpful. Price point was excellent off season!

Nice hotel, older but remodeled. Check-in was very fast and friendly, and the lobby is nice. The pool is awesome, and it's kid friendly. Can't beat the location right on Scottsdale Rd.

Hotel was older but very has maintained. Loved the unique architecture and many places to eat and drink there. Hotel staff was courteous. We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel.
