Very stuck up place. I make as much as others but sometimes I like to take a break at a nice place and they treated me different so I didn't even book a room. I save around 2500 to spend on a retreat from my crazy hectic life yearly. I was going to try this place for the first time. That didn't work out from the start. I'm a single mom of four , no child support, I'm a full time cpa and in school working on my law degree . I need a break and I don't need to be judged cuz I spend everything I have on the kiddos trying to make sure they have everything they need and most of what they want like two parented families so I don't have the expensive face creams and salon trips etc cuz input my children first but I do save money to vacay for me and that was just a bad experience. I felt uncomfortable and like they thought they were better than me. Truth is, I'm damn good for what hurdles I have to jump and money isn't how I keep score but I do love to make it and I know where to spend it.

I was in late for a single night stay, so didn't have the opportunity to use many of the amenities. It's an older but well kept property. Breakfast buffet is mostly your standard fare for hotel breakfast.

Stayed at this "resort" for an event in August. At first, the hotel, even though dated, looked pretty nice. Close to old town Scottsdale and very convenient. However, after a long day, on the first nights stay, we went to go to bed and found what appeared to be bodily fluids on the sheets. The hotel sent someone to change the sheets. If it hadn't been for the event, we would have left immediately. Maybe in a motel on Van Buren, but not in a Hilton in Scottsdale! So gross!

It is not far from the I101. It has a beautiful open layout. CLEAN. Two well maintained pools. Pleasant sitting areas and balconies. The staff is friendly and helpful. Will definitely be staying here again.

Stayed for two nights and had the bed-and-breakfast - the breakfast is a type of buffet, but the food was excellent; the choices for the given day is limited to a few items at a time... two main items, like French toast and egg sandwich, and then some staple breakfast items - eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes. There's a waffle maker that takes a little of time to make a single waffle, but it comes out perfectly. The resort itself is nice and well maintained. The mini-fridge in my room didn't seem to be cooling and maintenance was prompt to come out to take a look. We ended up getting a second fridge added which was kind of them. It's very quiet - the room I was in was kind of off-set, so there were no direct neighbors. Pools are kinda shallow, good for chilling and wading around. Overall excellent stay, no problems or issues.

Would advise avoiding. If you look through the past reviews, this hotel has a history of thefts by the hotel employees. Had a family member stay here recently and they had their laptop stolen from their locked room while they were at the pool. The people with them had their laptop stolen, along with wallets, credit cards, and passports. This was at 10PM and the hotel staff was unhelpful in assisting them. There were "no suspicious entries" on the room according to the guy with the door reader, and he would not let the family member or the police see the log. The next day, another room in their group had two more laptops stolen. If you stay here, you're gonna have a bad time. Thank you Hilton Hotels for ruining their holiday.

Didn't have many amenities available. But failed to mention it on the web site or when u walk up to the front desk??

a response to the owners reply to my original review....I would have no problem giving your hotel another chance, would it be possible to get like a free night or 2 if I book a room for a few days?

I visited here for a night on labor day weekend for my 21st. The concierge was very helpful throughout my stay and the bar tender was lovely. I've been back twice since just for the bar and their delishous food! We were happy to see the same bar tender after coming back the 1st time, the staff from the second visit was just as friendly and hospitable! Great drinks! Sad their blender for their indoor bar was broken though.

If it weren't for the horrible showerhead and lack of water pressure, this would have been a five star easily, plus there is a weird glass block window in the bathroom kind of uncomfortable, but everything else amazing

Huge sprawling hotel with many amenities. I stayed two nights for work so I didn't get to experience much of it. I liked the ability to park near my room and the open air access to the halls.

Great venue for a business meeting, room was large and functional. Easy to find. Only thing is the restrooms are limited so long lines. Only 2 stalls in restroom near meeting room and one upstairs only 1 stall.

DO NOT BRING A SMALL CHILD if they CAN NOT resist climbing,

the design of this hotel inside and out, not only begs to be climbed, but your child (or anyone else for that matter) can climb /has access to climb the walls 2/3 stories high, and to the roof if they wanted

Was there for a conference. The conference areas and meeting rooms were great. 2 pools made it nice so that many people could be in them. The pools are salt water which was easy on the skin compared to really chemically pools. The only downside was that since there were so many people our room/maid service was not the best. One of the days they didn't restock the room and another they completely missed us, yet our neighbors and travel companions had no problem. I have previously worked housekeeping so I know it's a hard job, especially when the hotel is full like it was, I just thought it didn't hold of to the typical Hilton standards

The property is a maze! Literally got lost leaving my room in the morning. Rooms could definitely use an update. It was convenient for business trip, but would not be happy if it had been a leisure trip.

NEEDS RENOVATION! The room had a nice beamed ceiling, but the rest of it was pretty shabby. The bath tub and tile were yellow, and apparently original from 1970 or so. Cheap hardware on old louvered doors for closets and vanity. Trim around doors really chipped and gouged. Bugs in ceiling corners. Mosquitoes attacked us as soon as we entered the room. Sliding door to dirt and scraggly vegetation. And for heaven s sake, don t leave anything behind! We accidentally left several bottles of nice wine on a table as we were repacking to leave. When we called a few hours later, the housekeeping staff said it was not there. Right!

If you hate cigarette smoke, stay somewhere else. Many employees and guests are smokers, and 10 feet from the doors is the law.

On the plus side: front desk staff very professional and friendly. Nonetheless, next trip I will choose a different hotel.

Nice location and the new additions are great. They seem to take care of their customers with a cookie and water immediately upon checkout, as well as bottled water delivered to the room for this AZ weather. Overall a good experience!

Absolutely love this Doubletree Resort.. could see the top of Camelback Mountain from inside our room..can't get any better than that! The people who work at this hotel are beyond helpful. The hotel restaurant seating of being able to dine inside or out is a major plus as well and it's very good and the service is great. We've stayed at this resort numerous times over the years and it is consistent each and every time. Thank you to the beautiful Doubletree IN beautiful Paradise Valley/Scottsdale Arizona for another WONDERFUL & memorable time & of course we will be back!

It was perfect!! USB outlets for phones, lamps and lights for your lighting needs, the interior has a nice theme yet isn't too detailed or dramatic, and pets are allowed which makes things better!! Overall really great experience!! And the location is amazing

Beautiful property. There is an Avis/Budget car rental location in the main lobby. Much cheaper than the airport. Save your time and money DO NOT RENT AT THE AIRPORT. It is available to anyone even if you re not staying at this hotel.

What an awesome experience I had at this hotel. It is very close to a lot of things such as Old Town Scottsdale, Scottsdale Fashiom Square, amazing hiking trails, and lots of shopping/restaurants.

I had emailed the manager prior to arrival and this was awaiting my arrival. The hotel is very clean. I was impressed with the fitness area, hot tub, and the two large pools on sight. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff we encountered were amicable.

I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

The hotel itself might be past its prime - however what makes it stand out and worth every visit is the excellent service and great location. right from the guy at the ballet to the bell boy everyone willing to go above and beyond the routine. With the traffic the way it is -it becomes an obvious choice for business...

Attended a conference here. Very nice facility. Bring great walking shoes because it is big. Tip: Take pictures of room number signs where you park your car. Options for eating are upscale casual or informal. Beautiful patio dining.
