Was told I got a freshly renovated suite. Not sure it was ready for prime time. Neither TV remote worked with the TVs. One wouldn't even turn on. Every wall in the room was sprayed white with zero art work or decorations. Paint splatter all over the dark tile. Could hear the elevators through two walls and conversation in the hallway.
The wireless charging pad was a nice addition though
Great location for our event. Decor is a bit "shocking". Sort of Disney meets Vegas... Unfortunately our bathroom was NOT clean when we arrived and we used our own Clorox wipes to clean off various surfaces. Although when we commented at checkout they did discount our room 50% so that definitely made up for it.
Only visited the hotel bar with coworkers. Nice bar, the hotel lobby was also nice.
Checked in with our family and Natalie warmly greeted us with a smile, bottled waters and warm cookies. She was kind to find us a room that was a newly renovated room. We needed an extra bed and we were pleasantly surprised with a speedy delivery of a pumped up air mattress with sheets, blanket and extra pillow. My 17 year old was appreciative. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean with interesting decor. Breakfast was plentiful and delish. Service was great! Thank you for the pleasant stay!
Pros: Hotel is aesthetically very nice with a rustic charm. The restaurant was pretty good, and surprisingly affordable. This is fortunate because there's almost no food options in the area. Staff was generally very friendly. My room had a nice north facing view looking over the park across the street, which is all lit up at night.
Cons: There is no grocery store, pharmacy or any general store nearby that people need while travelling. I needed contact lens solution and was told I would need to take an Uber to get to the closest spot... paying for a cab would have cost more than the one item I needed. I would recommend the hotel stocks a handful of basic items like floss, toothpaste, lens solution, snacks, etc. for their guests like other Hiltons do.
I also found the rooms to be uncomfortable to work in - the desk chair was for looks, not for comfort. no outlets behind the desk for a laptop, and the desk was white/glass, so you can't use a mouse on it. This hotel is probably better for someone visiting tallahassee for fun with no work desk needed.
Nice vibes but the staff needs to be more diverse i.e Black people
There was a big roach running accross my shoes and floor and it looks like the ceiling is cracked is how there getting in there should be pest control who see this and report it to staff. the elevator has been broken so long regular guest know they are going to get stuck on the elevater. I have had a terrible experience every single time i have stayed. Even had money taken off my card a week afyer my stay for an acct error. I dont see how a business can keep a card on file for weeks and run it without the card holders permission. This hotel has shady racist unethical practices
If you're looking for a nice hotel while in Tallahassee this is the one. Great location, great service, and it's always a great visit!
Choose another hotel when coming to Tallahassee (unfortunately they are the only full service hotel in the city). As sprinkler audit was being conducted the night I was supposed to be there, which left 0 low floors available. The lowest floor they had was on floor 9. I was traveling with someone sick, who doesn t do heights or elevators. Of course the great Hilton hospitality, wouldn t let me cancel without penalty! It s not my fault that I was not informed about the low floors being blocked off! GREAT HILTON HOSPITALITY.... not.....
Great place, great location, really comfortable beds
Went for a wedding and reception. Setting seemed elegant and food was good.
First, I d give the front desk staff all 5 stars! The decor is also a nice touch along with the location which is great !
However, the noisy HVAC in my room which is one of the loudest I ve ever heard along with the poorly sleeping mattress screaming for replacement will ensure unfortunately that I will never stay here again; if you need a good nights sleep after a long day of travel, you too will need to stay elsewhere! Most unfortunate for a great hotel otherwise!
Service for the drinks where good that was all I happend to be there for
Literally the WORST experience at a hotel. We stayed here on our WEDDING night on 10/03/2020 in a room that cost us $486.00 and it was the worst experience ever. To start off, one of the elevators was not working. We got on it and after getting inside we were stuck for almost 8 minutes without it moving and the doors would not open. We also arrived to our room with half a roll of toilet paper. It took 17 minutes for the hot water to turn on in the shower. The girl at the front desk (Sara) was very unpleasant and sounded annoyed both times we called as if we were inconveniencing her. And to top it all off there was a HUGE issue with payment. Our room was $486.00 but we received an invoice for $191.00 and to top it off our card was charged $607.00. There were so many inconsistencies and problems with this hotel on our big night to even count. We re literally on our honeymoon staying at a hotel for half the price and everything is PERFECT! I HIGHLY suggest you stay at any other hotel in Tallahassee. This hotel was not worth the money AT ALL.
Had a banquet there. It was a nice time and staff were very friendly
Went to a wedding and it was really nice. Interior is nicely designed. Haven't stayed as a guest so I'm not sure about the rooms.
Remodel is terrific and the new rooftop bar is really nice. You've got to visit Eve&Adam!
Wonderful staff, beautiful lobby. Only wished the floor hallways didn't have a look and feel of a 60-year old haunted mansion.
Had Xmas work related party there, staff was great. Very professional, stay on top of everyone's needs
Overall the experience was good. The servers were friendly. The downside was no paper towels in the bathroom and some of the staff was in a hurry to clean up the tables and Spilled my coffee.
Nicely decorated, very pretty inside. Front desk, young girl, needs better training. Not very warm, seemed bored. Having worked in the hospitality industry, it's customary to be hospitable. She was not. Hopefully she gets the training she needs.
Excellent business meetings here. Extremely well catered.
Would have given them 5 Stars if they had room service after 10:30pm.
New renovations. Nice decor, closer to many interesting downtown places.
Perfect location for my conference at Turnbull. Walking distance to many restaurants.
I stay here for 2 weeks every summer and each year I am always impressed with the hotel itself but most importantly the customer service. "Things" happen at hotels all the time, but it is how they handle those situations that make the hotel stand out. This hotel staff is always kind and helpful, and have always treated their guests with respect. This is a great hotel!
Great service and close to all the main attractions
Hotel is undergoing a remodel. Rooms were quite nice however the construction started at 9am, even on the weekends, and was quite loud. Service for the most part was good. We were staying at the hotel for a wedding, also at the hotel. Saturday evening the hotel closed the bar early and turned away business for no real reason. They do offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport which was great.
The hotel was nice and comfortable, overall. The decor was confusing. Grand Antebellum style mixed with an odd selection of modern accents.
The restaurant, however, was outstanding and I would recommend it to anyone staying at the hotel.
10/10 would stay here again.
Located in the heart of Tallahassee next to many major attractions with lots of great places it eat very close to the capital. Staff is friendly and very professional.
The room was very clean. The bed was super comfy. Front desk members were very helpful as well as the Starbucks staff.
...I should've stayed at a Hilton sooner..beautiful lobby..the customer service was perfect..we got warm fresh cookies at check in and coupons for the restaurant..the room was clean..great view of the park..best hotel breakfast I've ever had
Good service, great breakfast. Hotel is not pet friendly but because of hurricaine they let people stay with there furry friends. Thank you Double Tree Hotel!
My fiance and I stayed in a room with a king bed on the 10th floor and had a great time. We stayed for one night and the employees were pleasant and helpful. The decor was eclectic and interesting, the view was nice and the room was very clean. My only complaint was that the hallway near our room smelled strange...the words musty and damp come to mind. However, the room itself and the lobby did not smell unpleasant at all so it really wasn't an issue. Overall we had a good stay and would definitely recommend.
Courteous front desk staff welcomes guests with uncommon kindness. The rooms are tranquil and comfortable.
Spent the weekend here and we really enjoyed ourselves other than several drunks from last nights wedding making noise on our floor. One phone call to the desk and they quickly took care of the drunks. The Saturday morning farmers market across from hotel was nice. I recommended this hotel to anyone and its close to everything.
It's a great place to stay. Very beautiful and different look!
Decently good hotel. Felt a little cramped in the room and the hotel itself seemed a little out of date. All in all not a bad stay for a few nights.
Such a wonderful place. Kind of old Hollywood glam. My friends just wanted to walk around and click pics. The view from 17th floor swe as to die!!!!
Conference room was perfect for our needs, well stocked and staff was attentive.
Very cozy Clean and spacious. Excellent breakfast Well located
The room was nice and the beds were comfy. Service was good. However bathroom door was see through a little bit and since I was rooming with my mom, not the best time to have a see through bathroom door.
Very nice, the parking is to expensive but I loved this place
Went for business meeting, room was large and comfortable
We are staying in one of the refurbished rooms, they are doing a great job of bringing the rooms up to date. Rooms are on the smaller side, but still enough room. Location is awesome. Pool is small with a very large patio area. Nice room service selection at a reasonable price. Valet parking is only $3 more than self-parking. Very clean hotel with a very friendly staff.
Room was bright and clean, lobby was gorgeous, but hallways could use a deep cleaning and staff could be more attentive.
This place is beautiful, from the time you drive up and see the lights in the trees with the Moss hanging down. From the valet introducing you properly and taking your keys with confidence; of parking your car. To the entrance of the hotel with beautiful chandeliers and beautiful furniture. The ambience is wonderful; it's something like stepping out of your car into a princess palace. You can't help but to feel like a princess, from the mirrors to the carpets on the floors, the greeting that they give you the beautiful furniture from different areas of the hotel, the waiting area at the elevators, and our room was on the 16th floor. As we entered our room the ambiance was already set. Had double beds, flat screen TV, mini fridge, complimentary water, and we were even given complimentary cookies at the front desk as we signed in. And in our rooms there were complimentary as usual bathroom toiletries and even the little things like makeup remover pads. We had the view of the pool, and every time we called for valet our car was always on time. We dined in the restaurant at the hotel, our waitress name was Nia she was the best waitress; five stars, she even participated in a game of Truth and Dare. She had a smile that would brighten anyone's day, she had a personality that was out of this world, if you should be grateful to get this waitress please don't hesitate to give her the full maximum tip she deserve. the food in the restaurant is good please don't hesitate to try the wings they were the best. My night sleep at this hotel was wonderful I slept very good waking up well rested if you should be in the neighborhood of Tallahassee please don't hesitate to stay at this marvelous, awesome, beautiful, hotel.
The people were amazing. They were so nice and offered everything. The bed was comfy. But the bathroom was too small.
Rooms have been updated and look great. Outside is still being remodeled
Location was convieniant if you want to your around the capital buildings. Rooms were nice and clean. The food in the restaurant downstairs was slow and awful. The only parking is a parking garage with a very steep entrance that is difficult to stop on while swiping your room key to open the gate.
Nice decor in a good part of town. I want an overnight guest, but enjoyed tea in the coffee shop.
The building is very nice. The Decorating was fancy. The staff were very helpful. It reminded me of the fancy hotels you are in movies.
They are very good and professional. I really enjoyed it.
The hotel was great, I would stay here again. The parking lot is under renovation, kind of difficult to park but that's was the only issue.
Definitely the nicest place in Tallahassee. Everything was beautiful. Staff was great but the drink were a little pricey.
Had a surprise Birthday Party there last weekend. excellent service clean hotel, very nice breakfast buffet. Big shout out to Alex, Chris, and even to Matt our shuttle driver. Thanks for making it a very pleasant stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Tallahassee!!!
Hotel was nice, but the decor was a little odd for my liking. Very much an Addams-esque touch. The rooms were a bit nicer than the actual halls of the hotel. The elevators were weird since there was only a button at the far side of the hall. Overall, it was a nice hotel, and I enjoyed my stay.
Great weekend with Springtime Tallahassee Festival!
Good price. Clean rooms. Nice cookie on arrival. Worth the stay.
