Worst experience I've ever had at a Hilton property. 8:35pm on a Saturday night and contractors are allowed to run power tools and hammers on the floor above me. 2nd night in a row of this. No manager on duty and the poor girls at the front desk don't know what to do.

The Doubletree Hotel is clean, and the rooms are huge! The staff is friendly and very accommodating. It's in a great location and is the perfect spot for a weekend trip to Tallahassee during football season. Call now to book your room!
We've been trying to see this place for a while and walking past this new establishment that was developed at the hotel I walked up and asked if I could go up and take some pictures of ADA weariness for service animals. On my way leaving the bar / party room the manager showed up and we talked for a little bit and gave him some more awareness he ask me questions that's amazing he didn't realize my service animal BABY was a pitbull. This amazing place the staff is amazing I told him what I was doing I need loved what I was doing so thank you very much for the opportunity to speak to you I want people to enjoy our state of Florida so hopefully this helps and another thing I forgot was he wanted to know how service animals handle loud places I told him a lot of training depends on the person's life I even told him can you tell if I'm disabled he said no so I explained to him my disability and he understood the one thing I can say is he did say I was judging but I told them it's okay because I'm used to it that's why I'm an activist for ADA of 1990. I told them who my father was as well I love when we get support from our communities people and establishments of business owners the more we work the more we show people to understand that pitbulls can be service animals with proper training and guidance.

Good experience at Jacob's Restaurant. The room was adequate and clean. Beds we're a bit beat up, but suitable. However, the decor looked like an 80's hair salon. The B&W lack of color was a bit stark.
SERVICE: The staff at this location are very professional, friendly, and personable. We booked this location very last minute on a busy weekend (FAMU homecoming) and from the call center agent to the manager (Allaina), we have the upmost respect for this company from the outstanding customer service we received. We literally booked this hotel while we were enroute, arrived 15 minutes later, had no line at check in and the room was ready for us!
QUALITY: The room was spotless! The bathroom was my favorite! There was a sliding door to the bathroom that was frosted in style. I loved the shower head and the level of the water pressure. Also, I thought it was a nice design that the handle to the water was in on the wall of the shower near the "entrance". There were shelves above the toilet and dual sinks. We were fully stocked with towels and wash cloths, as well as toiletries. One of the toiletries I liked was mouthwash. I don't find that often in hotels. The pillows were plush, the bedsheets were soft and he comforter was thick and high in quality. There was a mini refrigerator hidden by a cabinet that made for a much more "upscale" appearance. The curtains were thick and kept the morning sunlight out for those that may want to sleep in late.
PARKING: Paid parking lot and metered parking. There is an entrance from many sides of the parking deck and definitely secure for those that may come in during the nighttime hours.
Newly renovated lobby that's very stylish and nice. Rooms don't match first impression, they're not newly renovated, paper thin walls so could hear lots of noises through the night. Bathroom was pretty small even with just two of us staying in a king room. Carpet a bit dirty but nice view we had from 14th floor. Staff was friendly and helpful.
This is easily one of the best hotels I ve ever stayed in. The people at the front desk answer their phones instantly. You get whatever you ask for in about 5 minutes or less. You get as many cold complimentary waters as you want. It s also right next to all the best bars. Great showers with cold and hot water. I m actually mind blown that a hotel this good exists. For anyone looking to stay hydrated and be treated like royalty on their trip this is the spot.
My overall experience was very positive. The hotel checked me in quickly and allowed me to enjoy my room early. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We noticed the attraction to detail to show support for my school's homecoming. The little things were great. The only area I had concern with was the bathroom door. I prefer privacy even when I'm staying withy wife. We both like it actually. The door didn't seem as private. With that said, we enjoyed our stay and will continue to stay here when we visit.
Arrived in Tallahassee Thanksgiving afternoon and the hotel van picked me up at the airport. Once at the hotel I was told that their in-house restaurant was closed as was every restaurant in downtown. I asked if the van could take me somewhere to get some food and was told "no, our insurance prohibits that." They just picked me up at the airport in their van, but they won't take me to get some food and I had not eaten since late-morning. The young girl was very matter of fact and didn't seem to care at all. All she offered to do was call a $50 taxi for me. Terrible service for an expensive hotel. And the wifi is barely dialup speed. It hasn't been updated in twelve years.
It is a pretty expensive upscale place right at the downtown of Tallahassee. The rooms are very spacious, always clean and beautiful. Not sure that you will have a good view though. The restaurant inside the hotel is pretty fancy. The quality of good there is definitely not bad, but I am not sure it justifies the price.
Extremely nice hotel. Parking is convenient, and the heated outdoor pool is really nice. I didn't eat at the restaurant inside the hotel because I already had plans elsewhere, but it smelled delicious. The room was really clean and the staff was wonderful! I highly recommend this hotel!!
Wonderful stay. Came for meetings with federal partners. Short drive to meetings, close to restaurants and event spots. Staff was very friendly and responsive. I will stay here each time I return to Tallahassee Florida.
My stay here was fantastic! You get a free warm cookie when you arrive (and any time after that that you would like one) and the rest of the stay was up to the same level. The staff are very friendly, the room was great, and the view was great also!
Nice looking lobby. Desk clerk and valet were courteous. I just went in to ask questions about employment there. They told me they were one of the busiest hotels in Tallahassee. They are in the process of adding a bar/restaurant on top of the existing hotel.
The staff is friendly and helpful, but the hotel (or room) has some issues. No microwave in the rooms, the lights in the upper floor hallways has these crystal (or plastic, not sure really) balls in front of the lights that makes the hallways look dreary dark. My personal room had the fire alarm light barely hanging on its mount in the bathroom and the water suppression system had started to separate in the bathroom as well. The caulking around the sinks was bulky and smeared on the backsplash. Rooms were smaller than one would expect from a double tree. Parking was a nightmare unless you would pay to use the parking garage. Overall not a bad hotel, but for the price of the room, and its location, was expecting something better.
The staff were friendly and the room was nice. The walls were a bit thin, though and I was awakened by the people next door apparently coming back from a night out drinking.
This is a beautiful hotel and very comfortable. Everyone was kind and the service was 5 star! I highly recommend the Doubletree Tallhassee for business or pleasure!
I wouldn't recommend anyone stay in this facility. The front desk staff throughout the day was extremely respectful & accommodating but the staff that arrived at night was rude, extremely disrespectful and I'm disappointed in my stay here. Never again will I give Double Tree my business & I suggest you book other places to stay.
My experience at this hotel was horrible. I traveled (by car) 8 hours from out of town for a very important meeting. Children were running up and down the halls all night. Upon my departure, I realized I left a very expensive item behind. I called back and was given the run around to finally have an unconcerned rude manager tell me there was nothing she could do about it and perhaps I did not actually leave it (I guess it jumped out of my luggage or car that was valet). She transferred me to the head of housekeeping who did not answer. I left an extremely detailed message included my room number, phone number, and the item. A week later and I have not even gotten a courtesy call back. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. This hotel obviously supports theft.
The decor? Weird, but it grows on you The location? Great, as long as you have business with the Florida Legislature. The staff? Awesomely friendly and helpful. Dang!! Even the construction guys working on the new rooftop bar are ready and willing to engage in conversation. Breakfast? Love my grits, and you can get them here with plenty of butter. The bar? Best tender ever. She knows how to pour an awesome neet shot of Don Julio 1942 with ice water chaser. Will I return? Darn tootin', as long as the Don Julio 1942 is flowing
I currently staying here. I also stayed here last year. These are stays where I don t have a choice as to where I stay. Last year they were remodeling. I got a morowake up call via hammers and drills. Guess what! I am now listening to hammers and drills....ridiculous!!!!
They should pay me to stay here. Won t be back for 2 years, maybe they ll be done. Very disappointed that they put guests nearby workers. BTW, it is a Saturday!
I actually don't stay at Hilton properties much anymore after a poor experience at a different property, but the staff is amazing and seems genuinely caring.
I was quite dissappointed with my stay in this hotel. First I found out I would have had to pay for parking if school (FSU) was in session at my arrival. There was no refrigerator or microwave and the design and upholstery in the room is ordinary at best for the price charged. Also, you have to pay $9.95 for slow dial up internet service that's free at every other hotel. Even when I used my own internet source, it seemed to be restricted on purpose. Breakfast is expensive and charged same as an unpscale diner (could easily cost $35 or more per person). Just to give an idea, 3 pancakes cost $9.99 and 1 small pot of coffee costs $6.95. Oh and you have to pay for phone calls too, $0.95 for local calls
Business trip. Love staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton. Great staff and rooms. Jacobs Bar and their staff are the best. We are always treated very well and expect to return again and again.
Hotel was very up to date and conveniently located downtown. Also extremely close to FSU. Parking is convenient and probably standard price for garage parking. It's connected directly to the hotel.
Stands up to the Hilton name with ease! I enjoyed the fifteenth floor with a view of the state capital building and was able to stay for two night. The staff was extremely friendly and I must say that I miss Jessica already! The rooms are well appointed but could use an update. Love the city as well!
I was assisting the photographer for a wedding. I only saw the lobby and the ballroom downstairs. The lobby was huge and had plenty of seating and even books for guests to read. The ballroom was beautiful and the food for the wedding was delicious, especially the salmon!
We booked 4 rooms 7 months prior Our Graduation date in December. Arrived at 4:00 for checkin and from the start everyone was rude and unfriendly giving no eye contact, hardly looking up at us. The lady front manager was even worse. We quickly was to learn they gave away one of the rooms and the hotel was completely booked. Thankfully I had the confirmation number and after a long long frustrating discussion with the unfriendly manager they found us a room that the head Manger had available. I m assuming it s a room they keep on reserve for reasons like this. The overall stay was below average. The roof was pouring out water, from rain, at the lobby Starbucks. The towels are poor quality! The sheets are and beds were nice and our view of the Florida Supreme Court was awesome. Valet parking was great but expensive. I would not stay there again for the price of the room rather try another one downtown.
The first room we received was a problem. We used the bathroom after we unpacked and the toilets overflowed into the hallway of the room. We had to walk through 3 inches of water to pack up our things that were in the bathroom. The second day we headed out at 11:30am. When we got back at 9:30pm no one came to make up our room - change the towels or make the beds. What is the deal with this type of service? Had to go to front desk at 10:00pm to get fresh towels.
Not a good experience at all. As a Hilton Honors Customer this type of service is unacceptable.
This place is really nice, super clean, and wonderfully staffed. The service has been amazing. It's....not to my decorating taste, but I think that the over-the-top aesthetic is growing on me. I would DEFINITELY book here again!
I would not recommend anyone to stay here. The hotel lacked cleanliness in the rooms, as well as the restrooms. I was told that they were remodeling the hotel , and they had yet to do the floor that I was on, which was the 9th floor, so I didn't understand why they didn't put me on a different floor. Customer service was O.K. Most of the sockets in the room did not work, the only thing that was efficient in the hotel was the Valet, and the Valet guys were great.
