The shuttle driver Durha from Ethiopia was a nice introduction to the expectations of the hotel. Really nice friendly guy. Once here the staff was pleasant. Our room was nicely decorated and get up to date. Quiet!!! The beds comfortable. The pillows small yet fresh and soft. And the towels were the softest I have felt in years and no bleach smell. On check out Maggie's was extremely nice. Top it off the room in the end cost us less then we booked. Overall it would be a 5 but the buffet breakfast was a bit lacking. Still highly recommended. Enjoy.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a conference. The check in was a disaster. I used mobile check-in and requested an electronic key but still had to wait in a long, slow line to access the room. The room was nice. Service was decent. The breakfast buffet was adequate. The conference set up was decent, but everything had a surcharge (e.g., $15 charge for handling a small box shipped ahead of the conference). The group food service was mediocre at best. Not a place I'd choose for a conference.

The hotel room was very nice and the staff were excellent. I was there for a conference. The food was served at the banquet was terrible. The chicken was like leather. The cake was dry. The breakfast buffet was stone cold and I was the second customer.

The rooms in the hotel are nice. Bathrooms are a little small. If you have a pool side room, expect noise until the pool closes to enter your room. This hotel is used for a LOT of events, so if you're not there for an event, you'll likely be in for a surprise. The event spaces are nice, have flexible arrangements, and offer a variety of ceiling height, lighting, etc. There are very few windows in the event areas including common areas, so there won't be much natural lighting unless you're in the courtyard in the pool area.

Pacific tower is out dated and falling apart the new tower is very nice. Comfortable beds. Showers are not so good. Water pressure is low and fluctuates too much. Probably won't stay here again unless I have too.

Our stay here was fantastic. My family and I traveled from Kansas City. It was a group of 20 of us. We called that morning as we were on the road to change some rooms and the manager waa so kind and accommodating to us. She changed our rooms and made sure we were all right next to each other. Once we got there the stay was amazing. The rooms were nice and clean, the lobby area was clean and all the staff were very helpful. The kids favorite part was the pool. The only negative thing for me was the temperature of the pool. It was freezing! Getting in that pool felt like an ice bath. Luckily they had a hot tub pool that was a really nice size as well and that's where I spent my swimming time.

Went to the double tree to attend a reptile expo. I didn't get to see much of the hotel beyond the lobby and the event area but it seemed like it was very nice. The staff when I vencountered them were very courteous.

For what I paid for the room, I don't believe it's worth the money. Services were great. Very friendly staff and are willing to help. Great location... 15 minutes from the Mall of America. . Rooms is ok.

The hotel was openly hostile towards an event I was attending, making it incredibly difficult for me and my friends to operate the part of the convention we were running. A mere couple weeks before the time of the convention, we were informed of draconian policies that had never previously existed, costing us time and money to change our plans at the last minute. An overwhelming police presence hired by the hotel for the duration of the event led to an extremist air of hostility. Many attendees suffered, and hardworking convention members hosting some of the rooms lost out on a lot of money as a result.
As many others have said, if you re part of an organization, don t waste your time booking this hotel as a group. It will screw you over at the last second and ruin all your carefully laid plans.
Furthermore, we were never back officially checked in when we showed up for our room - the person at the desk just gave us our cards, leading to unnecessary confusion and a further waste of time when we tried to check out and were told went we had never been there at all.

Rooms were clean, staff friendly. Breakfast was so so, but it's a hotel. Bar at night seed to overwhelm but they did their best. Iron in my room spewed water and drenched my shirt which wasn't great. Location is placed within normal driving distances.

Upon check in they refused cash and would only take a credit card. 5 minutes in the room, my 4.5 year old handed me a loose staple she found on the floor. Had to have a bell boy bring the luggage up and guests couldn't use the cart.

On the plus side hotel was clean and staff was friendly. On the minus side there was no free water. If you wanted water you had to spend $2 a bottle. The only water fountan was in the fitness room. No blow drier in the bathroom and no robes to use. I stayed at another hotel for the same price and these were provided. Also it would have been nice to have access to a computer. Maybe there was one but I did not notice it. The bathroom was also small. I would only stay here again if this was the best price for what was offered.

Not the best double tree ive been to. rooms are small and smelly. Looks like housekeeping does a poor job on cleaning up these rooms. Some rooms, like the one I stayed at need a deep down scrubbing, you can only mask the smell so much by spraying a fragrance. Front desk does a so-so job on taking care of their diamond guests.

Was there for business and will never do business with this hotel again. Extremely costly and nickled and dimed me every chance they got. To the point where the gentleman I was dealing with said "we have higher prices because we are a Union hotel". Subsequently after that comment, one of their biggest Union clients pulled out and will not hold their conference there again.

This is one hotel I will never use again. The room was not clean, the sheets looked like they hadn't been changed, everything was dusty, the floor hadn't been vacuumed and there was what looked like blood on the wall. We had overslept and missed the noon checkout time and the staff was not understanding at all. They charged me $50 for checking out an hour late, as if that wasn't bad enough, they called the police! My fiancee and I were already checked out and standing outside when they arrived. This hotel, it's employees and the service was 100% unacceptable. I will never stay here again and would recommend to others to find another hotel. Also, not only did they keep my $60.00 deposit for a $50 late check-out fee as well as an $18.51 charge for a couple of things I purchased from the gift shop (which would total $68.51) they took ANOTHER $48.50 out of my checking account as well as another $18.51. So, instead of taking out the $8.51 that I owed them, they stole $60.00 out of my account which caused overdrafts. I will be contacting my father's attorney, and a call to the Better Business Bureau will follow.

Very tired and "under serviced" property. Nice staff, but it is past its prime and is in real need of full renovation. Mattress was obviously old..the air conditioning unit was louder than some aircraft at takeoff...needed earplugs to sleep.

There was no safe in the room, and the toilet was ineffective unless flushed 3 or 5 times.

I now understand why the room rate was so low. I wouldn't plan to stay here again.

My wife, daughter and I chose to book this hotel l...

My wife, daughter and I chose to book this hotel last weekend because we are Hilton Honor's members and every stay we have had at a Hilton, or Hampton in by Hilton has been amazing. This trip was not that. We wanted to do a get away to the Mall of America. We checked in and got cookies. Little did I know that the cookie would be the best part of the hotel. Upon check in I spoke with the front desk and confirmed that the pack and play / crib requested in my reservation for my 8 month old daughter was in our room. I then spoke with the valet found out it was $10.00 to use the Valet for the night and we could still come and go as we pleased. As the hotel was busy for Saturday night we figured $10 for parking was reasonable and I didn't have to walk half a mile in February, in Minnesota. Shortly after unpacking we decided to go to the Mall of America. We stayed at the mall until 9 pm and drove back to the hotel arriving before 9:30 pm. I pulled up to the valet area and walked inside. The valet was no where to be found. I spoke to the front desk and was told that due to under staffing the valet had been pulled to drive the hotel shuttle back and forth to the airport. We could no longer use the valet and I had to find a parking spot in the back of the parking lot.

We then went upstairs to our room. We had not checked the room earlier and that was my fault as I wanted to go to the mall and Ikea. The pack and play / crib promised was not there. My wife called down to the front desk and asked if one could be brought up. She was rudely told that the hotel did not have them and hung up on. I checked the website for the hotel and called the reservation desk, both confirmed that the hotel did have them. I walked down stairs and found an employee who told me that it was a housekeeping issue and that he would try and find one. He came back and informed me that housekeeping was backed up a few hours and he would try and find one. about 30 min later I finally had the pack and play.

Some of the rooms on my floor were also trying to give cheech and chong a run for their money or were partying with Willie Nelson himself.

The next morning we got up to take a shower. My wife was taking a shower and found out that if you set the hot water to a reasonable temperature it would hold that temperature for a short time (under a minute) before it would either go scolding hot or cold. She ended up giving up on trying to was her hair in the shower and chose to rinse out the soap in the bathroom sink instead. There were other minor issues, such as the vending machines were out of water so the option for a bottle of water (for my daughters formula) was to buy it at the starbucks kiosk at a total of $12 for 3 bottles of water. (thats more expensive than disney world and this hotel is no where near as nice or fun)

All in all this hotel was a disaster that looks like it came out of the 1970's. It does not live up to the hilton name, and how it still has 4 stars is beyond me. Im fully expecting Terry the manager to respond telling me he is sorry about my experience and will use it as a learning experience, from the reviews previously, it is my opinion that those words have previously been said and not followed up with by action.

My room was in the "recently renovated" section of the hotel. Still very dated appearance. Worn carpets, outdated furniture, rusty light fixtures in the bathroom. Had to wait several hours to check in due to the computer system being down.

I came to this hotel for an event inside of their main ballroom. The hall is very spacious and elegant in appearance. I didn't have much interaction with the hotel staff so I can't comment much on that. They location it's fairly easy to find as is not far from the highway and around restaurants and other stores.
