They had warm cookies that tasted awesome! Need I say more?
Beautiful hotel. A lot of amenities. Close to restaurants and has easy access to major highways. One must know exactly what part of the hotel your room is in because it can be confusing if you are trying to find a guest.
I stayed at the hotel during a conference, and my room was right off the conference room. Could hear the conference from inside my room during entire visit. Food from room service was hot, but very salty.
The hotel was neat and beautiful. The staff handled the event and customers in a professional manner.
Went here for a conference. The venue was fine for what we needed it for. The only complaint was the set up of the chairs or lack of tables in the rooms for laptops or tablets, for example, but I don't think that was the venues fault. Lunch was great, and the staff was helpful and courteous.
I arrived at the airport and asked for a pick-up bus by phone, but I was told to wait until the next bus and I was waiting but the bus did not come. I'll just wait for the next bus so I'll just miss it when I call again. Don't overlook it and in the cold, I waited outside but the bus one hour later did not come. I repeated this three times.
Lastly, I was told to take a cell phone when the bus arrived at the airport, but I did not take it, so I went by taxi. I was planning to arrive before 8 pm but I arrived at the hotel after 11 o'clock.
We look forward to preparing chocolate chip cookies. I was saying but I did not give. I do not need it.
When I returned to Japan with the worst feeling, I paid to the travel agency, but when I saw the card details, the hotel expenses were debited.
It was a mistake when I asked the travel agency to confirm that the refund procedure had been completed, but one week later, the reply came.
Really the worst. I stayed at the last day, so my fun trip is ruined.
The restaurant was very over priced and food was mediocre also did not get the room I booked
I've been going to this hotel with friends for years. Recently, at the last minute before one such outing, they changed their rules and banned several practices we'd been doing for years. This was after they tried double booking our space in a clear bad faith attempt to get us to not attend. Under no circumstances would I recommend anyone patronize this establishment.
My only complaint is the extremely outdated bathrooms in the rooms.
Love, love, love the DoubleTree! Staff is great, always clean, welcoming and friendly!!
Really cool dude named nick helped us out with getting a room after a rather unpleasant experience at The Key Inn in Roseville
The Doubletree is always a great venue for tons of different events
Comfortable and large rooms. Good beds. Nice location, few places around to go eat. Excellent service
Awesome staff that went above and beyond on election night.. you guys rocked it
Friendly staff, great for kids, shuttle to Mall of America.
Beautiful hotel with nice staff. Loved the pool area! It was in a big, open area and had an enormous hot tub. Only downside was that the flooring around the pool was a smooth tile so it was really slippery.
Generally irresponsible. They double booked two huge events, one of them being a car show that took up two thirds of the parking and made life hard for everyone. Heard about staff being generally rude and unreasonable. Might be good for hotel stays, but keep away if you want to hold a large event here.
First thing there were more pictures like there was a living room withing my rental, it advertised there was a microwave, and mini frig (nothing) ... it's advertised like it's high end and exclusive cuz you have to use your key to get to the top floor.. It probably was pretty cool back in 1980... So moving on i could tell that the place was cleaned..., but it must of sat vacant for sometime... there was a layer of dust on everything... not to bad,,, we'll so I thought... there were huge stains on the carpet, I think the roof leaks, because there's fresh, painted spots in different areas all over the ceiling , there was rusty ceiling tiles by the bathroom. The tub was so dissusting, we found over 6 pieces of cerly little hairs in the tub.. We had to clean it before we used it. Then the drain in the tub kept closing, so by the end of your shower it was over you anckels... The toilet kept on plugging up, even with only liquid in it.. On the very first night we put our breakfast card on our door but it kept falling off every time we closed the door. It said it would be picked up by 2am, so at 2:30 I went and waited at the front desk for 10 min or so by then there was another person waiting to.. so she hitting the top of the counter,,, and finally a gentleman came out of the office (from his nap),,, I let the lady go first, and then when I tryed to give my card to him to him, he stated that I should put it on my door.. after I told him they already came and got everyone else's... he was very rude and said for the third time put it on your door.. well at 10am after I didn't get breakfast, I had to go talk to management they gave me a card for the breakfast buffet that day. I payed extra for a room with breakfast included... well guess what the next day no breakfast again.. Why even say anything.. because nobody will even help you... worst customer service I have ever experienced... and I'm even a manager of a retail store... and I was checking the reviews and nobody was refunded why say anything..
I CAN'T BELIEVE HILTON PUT THERE NAME ON THIS PLACE... thats the only reason I payed $300 to stay here.. I HAVE STAYED AT BETTER HOTEL 6'S FOR $35 A NIGHT... SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE .. I WOULD OF ASKED FOR A REFUND THE FIRST 30 MIN OF STAYING HERE BUT MANY GUESTS HAVE AND NOTHING ... I WOULD START WITH THE MANAGEMENT... CUSTOMERS COME FIRST.. SMILE, FRIENDLINESS, BE POLITE.. needless to say because of my late start my first day here we weren't able to make our arangment. And the second day we were so angry about our stay we didn't even go do anything. .. we just went home... this was our vacation for our 15th anniversary ... It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend away to show my wife the beautiful city and attractions... Thank you for the worst experience of customer service I have ever seen .. I would ask for a refund but even after you have to get maintenence to fix the plugged toilet, tub, rusty ceiling, roof, new carpet and a hole remodel to jump out of the 80's my measly $300 I got robbed from you guy, I mean (non refundable) is only a dent in what you have to con other people out of.. MR. HILTON I'M SURE WOULD BE APPALLED.
GUEST OF ROOM 878 PLAZA SUITE 8/27/17,and 8/28/17.. I will be waiting to here back from you.... but I'm not holding my breath... but to all the employees that prepared/cooked the breakfast buffet, you all should get a raise. 2 thumbs up. And I had better customer service from the wait staff during breakfast then received from management ... If I was the manager here,, I would definitely hire within the wait staff would be the new management... great job wait staff..
Great venue hosting events. skillusa state contests!
Online registration was confusing. I tried to book 2 rooms, was sent 2 emails for confirmation and they only had one room for me. Then the lady behind the counter was rude as well, so not a great showing for the DoubleTree.
Good hotel. The rooms are up to date and modern. Service is quite good.
Hotel was very busy but the staff was nice and was able to get me into a room with no issues
I was there for a board meeting with a group I volunteer for. The rooms are always clean sand well kept.
I respect this hotel. Stayed here for 1 week for work training held on the 2nd floor Atrium Rooms. The staff here is 10/10, extremely friendly, very helpful, you can tell they like the place they work. Breakfast is great as far as hotel breakfast goes. The catering staff is EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL & are VERY GOOD AT THEIR JOB. They brought delicious snacks multiple times a day to our meeting rooms (cinnamon rolls, brownies, popcorn, warm pretzels, yogurt parfaits, granola bars, fresh fruit etc.) and always had fresh-filled cold jugs of water on each table, & clean drinking glasses. Food and drink were always stocked neatly and plentiful, you hardly recognize the staff as they work quickly & quietly. Lunch was fantastic each day, with plenty of options available for everyone, including salads, drinks and deserts. You don t see employees standing around they all stand at the ready to assist us. I really respect this hotel, you can tell from the top down they have an eye on detail and the customer. Also, KJ the hostess is a sweetheart and I was very happy that she brought me a copy of the Newspaper each morning at breakfast! Love this place, thanks DoubleTree!!
Great hotel. Wish i had the opportunity to stay for leisure instead of business.
I would be very disappointed if I had had to pay for my stay here. Also, pancakes are $12... You get free continental breakfast at a motel 6. You won't get a fancy leather chair in your room, but do you really need one?
Not the best hotel I have been in and not really up to the Hilton standard - Gives more of a convention center feel. The rooms were very, very small but clean. Only went to the desk once and had to wait about 3 minutes for someone to come help. The girl wore a somewhat ratty t-shirt with a blazer over it that looked exactly as it sounds. Finally, she was pretty rude when we said we didn't need a key/to scan our key in the elevator, telling us we were wrong or someone else must have scanned before us. Never needed a key in the elevator for the entire visit. Finally, the grounds were terrible, difficult to navigate and filled with potholes and rough patch work. Not a fan and never going to stay here again.
My wife and I stayed at this motel over fathers day weekend and it was horrible when we would ask for something they could not provide it such as a do not disturb sign for the door we had to ask for one 6 different time and never received on and the room over the closet hand bout 6 inches of dust on it. We turned in our towels to hopefully get some fresh one BUT they never provided us with those either and asked house keeping bout them and they could not understand us and when we contacted the front desk they said they would get us some and once again never did. The pool is not heated and when my wife hot in it she almost went into shock due to the water being so cold. She contacted the front desk as well due to that and the manager said there was nothing they could do about it. All in all it was a horrible stay
Have stayed here a number of times for conferences- the rooms are always clean and well kept, the staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful and the location is great, easily accessible from the freeway. The Conference facilities are nice, and the banquet feed is better than others.
I wouldn't put my dog up in this hotel. Sidewalks on the sides are crumbling away, no mini fridge in the room. There's better amenities at a 1900th century hotel that I've stayed at in St Paul. If this type of barbaric room is how you treat your Hilton Honors members, how do you treat your supplicants?!
I attended a conference for about 800 people. The hotel did a lovely job of taking care of meals and coffee. The rooms take a little time to navigate at times, but overall, a good place for a keynote and breakout sessions.
Went to a banquet food was great and service was great
Bad: Our room was on the 18th floor (1822) in the corner of the hotel. Looking out the window all you seen was the side of the building. Room cleanliness was very poor (hairs, dust, other filth in the bathroom. Garbage under the bed) and the room had a vent in the left corner of the room that you could hear absolutely everything from the room above you out of. We also stayed during some Gopher convention and the mobs of people were overwhelming, loud, and rude. Elevator service was extremely slow. The pool was cold.
Good: Customer service was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful despite being overloaded with all of the extra people staying at the hotel. Room service was great, the food was delicious if not a tad pricey. Hot tub was huge.
Nice relaxing atmosphere loved the service at the bar. Bartender real nice and friendly thank you Glen
Absolutely terrible! I booked a room at 3 PM by calling the front desk. They sent me to their reservation company who booked me in a king suite. I arrived at 6 and they "upgraded" me to two full size beds, but failed to tell me opon check-in. When I called the front desk to complain and request a king, they stated this was an upgrade because the room was larger and they were booked solid. They stated all the King rooms had already been checked out by 3, the earliest check-in time.
I then requested a King in another of the hotels in Minneapolis St. Paul in the Hilton chain, but was told they could not help with that.
The hallway smelled terrible and the interior looked like it had not been updated since the early 80s.
Terrible customer service, terrible infrastructure and odor.
The event Room was spacious and the people working there were efficient and nice.
I was here for a large social event. The staff was courteous and maintained supplies and cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Was present at the hotel/convention center for a convention. That space was great and bathrooms were always clean/presentable. The bar had no issue with taking beers elsewhere on the property.
Attended the reptile expo. It was a nice location to have it
Beautiful hotel, with a good restaurant/bar, and an indoor pool and hot tub. I've been here for multiple conventions, everything has run very smoothly at them.
Wonderful staff, clean rooms and has everything you may need.
No shuttle after midnight. Lost money on a cab for this 3 star hotel. Pay more and get a hotel closer to the airport. These people are trash
I go every year for a convention. Management keeps changing and each year the hotel has been less and less willing to work in partnership with the convention volunteers. Carpet etc have not been updated in a while.
Comfortable beds and decent, clean rooms. Nice pool area. Friendly staff. I was here for a convention, for which we had the entire hotel booked, and the hotel was very accommodating of us all.
Room was clean. VeryVery big. Great area for kids and teams
I am sorry, but I tried very hard to like this place. Staff were really nice, but lack of security staff bothered me. There was a gang of teenage kids running around having a food fight in plain sight of all the cameras, and not one employee/security was there to deal with the matter. Food is good but the hotel is ageing and needs to be more clean. Walked in to my room the first day and found hairs in the tub. Not a great start. Pool and exercise equipment was top notch. Bathroom doors have veneer peeling from bottom, and grout on tiles needs cleaning with some steam. Low prices attracts people who don't care much about cleanliness and good behavior I guess.
I was here for a convention. Decent location but it looks very rundown outside, the parking lot has not been kept up and is hard to navigate. The service was fine inside though for what little interaction I had with hotel staff.
Great place for a meeting. The rooms were large and the restrooms were clean.
Attended Northwest Buyer's Show here. Great central venue. The hotel is ready for a bit of "sprucing up," particularly the pool-side suites. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Hotel is large and very busy. Lots of people in and out of the banquet rooms. My room is dated. Wallpaper peeling. Light bulbs burnt out. Friendly staff. Good water pressure in shower.
This is an excellent convention space. There are lots of spaces available in various sizes.
Clean and nice hotel. Breakfast is not complementary.
I was here for a conference. I liked that the rooms were great, the staff was friendly, the meeting facilities were awesome. The check-in process took way too long... They knew that the conference was happening, but they were still severely understaffed. There were probably 15 people in line in front of me when I got in line and I was in line for over an hour. In talking to others attending the conference, it sounded like they had had similar experiences there in the past. It was also difficult to find certain rooms. There are two towers in the hotel and you cannot get from one to the other. There also wasn't any signage to help people find other rooms. For example, I was looking for room number 575 (I don't remember the exact room number) and I went up the elevators to the 5th floor, but the rooms were 501-550. I had to ask several staff members before someone could tell me how to find the correct room.... I never did make it there. We did like the variety of restaurants nearby and the restaurant in the lobby was nice. The Starbucks was nice, but be ready to pay the high-Hotel Starbucks prices. Nice facilities, there were just some organizational hiccups when we were there.
Excellent hotel to bossy conventions at. The staff is always kind and wonderful.
Enjoyed the con hosted there. Place was nice, conveniently organized, and had plenty of space for all the activites of the con. Plan to go next year.
Clean rooms but a little dated. Lobby and restaurants in very nice shape. Excellent cookies!
Service was great. The staff was so friendly and happy. They truly love their jobs. Would have gave it 5 stars but we had a slow draining tub. Otherwise it was a very nice place to stay. Easy to get to and from.
Needs a renovation seriously. One year later to the date. Hilton honors member and we didn't get our complimentary chocolate chip cookies and water. Could see them at the counter but we got zip. Thanks a lot (not). Another year later, (2018) when are you planning on updating this place? The paint is peeling on the walls. The carpet is filthy. Wondering if DT will just close and doze. At least this time we got our cookies but we are HH members and had to ask for water. Is it so hard to give guests a bottle of water?
There was nothing exepional about this double tree! The king size bed gave both of us terrible neck and back pain. Makes me wonder if they ever change out there mattresses!! So to make our 2 day visit bearable we went to target and bought inflatable camping beds! The way I see it Hilton owes me money for a trip to a chiropractor! ! This is a unbias review and my honest opinion. Thanks for the aches and pains!
Beautiful rooms, gorgeous view, fantastic hot tub, overpriced beverages in the gift shop.
The staff were professional, clean and lovely atmosphere
Great front desk service! Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable and bathrooms while small are nice.
Broken door, not a big thing but seem like they may be letting their standards slip a bit/
