I dont get to stay in nice places much so I was excited to stay here for a couple days and visit my mom. I drive a truck and got off work and rented a car and came to the hotel. A nice man greeted me as I walked in then I got to the front desk. The lady seemed upset about something and was very short with me. When I asked her why the price was different from the booking price she got aggravated. I could sense she was wanting to get rid of me so I just agreed to whatever she said and got the room keys and left. My excitement is no more. Now I just want to leave. The room was really hot when we arrived and it still has not cooled off yet. So far I'm only impressed with the door man.

Intentional or not she made me feel like I wasn't good enough to here.

We booked 5 rooms for a family reunion and are disappointed. All the rooms need basic touch ups of paint and repair of may dings on the walls. In particular room 215 had obvious tape residue stuck on the floor, missing trim piece, wobbly ceiling fan with a burned out bulb and a dirty floor. We called for maintenance to fix the light and they never showed up. After swimming the kids developed a rash. In addition we witnessed several people slip and fall around the pool area. The tile is not appropriate for a slippery surface and the pool area floor was filthy. This hotel is in need of general maintenance and upkeep from obvious neglect. I'll give two star knowing that kids do enjoy the pool in spite of parents concern and the front staff including the door man were friendly.

I go here very often. This place was very nice when it was owned by Sheraton. Since Hilton took over, the quality has gone down. When I walk in, I feel like I am in the nineties. Although they have updated the lobby area and the bathrooms, the meeting rooms are old, dingy, worn, and dull. The outside is the same and no one seems to clear the snow and it becomes difficult to walk on the snow and ice - I am surprised that they have not been sued by falling customers. Once I cleared the snow myself from the steps and put salt. The rooms are in okay condition.

The hotel is very old. Not updated at all. This is the worse hilton I've been too. The stars is for customer service. The food was okay. No safe or refrigerator in the room I was in.

I was a little disappointed in the room and the hotel overall. My room was very small and the bathroom was very industrial looking with a toilet like you d find at a stadium or a public school. There s no free breakfast and my Hilton Honors privileges weren t available either. Not my favorite hotel.

A decent hotel that is now showing its age. Facilities are fine for the most part. Breakfast buffet is alright and restaurant food is also alright. I can't say one thing that this hotel excels in. They didn't offer the water bottles for HHonors member by themselves or the usual cookie. I had to ask for it. Not a big deal but you get the point. Overall, the stay was alright!

Attended CONvergence at this hotel. It was incredible. Building was beautiful. Staff was fiendly. Bartenders were attentive. I have only good things to say regarding them hosting this event and I will attend again every year as long as they continue to host.

Was there for the Eden prairie prom. The food was pretty good, and the staff were awesome. The dance floor was a little cramped, but it was just a bunch of high school kids so it's not really important.

The food and drinks were awesome we were here for a sales meeting for my company and the hotel took such good care of us my room was perfect every night. If you need a hotel in that area I would go with this one for sure for the price it was perfect!

The hotel was very accommodating and had a great location to everything we required as a group. The room was very well organized and used the space well. However the their was items lacking. Such as no vent in the washroom, plugs near the night stand, and a non working ice machine on our floor. The decor was updated really well, but the age showed in the hotel. The staff were fantastic. Regardless of the negative points, the stay was perfect for what we required and the cost was very reasonable and worth the stay.

Attended an all day seminar in the Grand Ballroom. Room was clean, staff reasonably attentive. That said, chairs were arranged very tightly which made things uncomfortable. Unbelievably small plastic cups were provided for water, which is unacceptable when you're going hours between breaks. Lastly, one if the lightbulbs above my seat started flickering in the afternoon. Just bad timing I'm sure, but very annoying none the less.

The meeting facilities are adequate but the rooms are dated. The bathrooms are poor at best. The toilet is right in the middle of the sink counter. The beds are pretty comfortable but the noise levels are high. With the price they charge for a room a person should get more than they have to offer. You can do better going somewhere else to get a better value.

We stayed in a spa tub room, which was okay but however the room temperature was at 76 degrees and could not be turned down, which was insanely uncomfortable. We were placed in a poolside room, which allegedly the pool hours are 7am-11pm. Long after 11pm the noise from the pool area was so unbearable I had to call and complain to the front desk. We paid over 200$ for this room and it was horrible and we will not be back.

This hotel is a DoubleTree in name only. DoubleTree hotels have always exceeded expectations. This hotel was not acceptable. It seems rundown, the door in bathroom had wood peeling from it. wallpaper peeling, no fridge, just very shabby. We were told we could check in at 3, got there about 4:30, told room not ready, and could not get room until 5. Overall, disappointing.

On plus side, beds were comfortable, cookie was great, lobby areas are great for hanging out with friends.

So far, the service for our event has been going as well as it can. I have been hearing of issues with set up, and many room reservations were lost. We were able to make it work, but it was definitely a lot of extra work. The rooms are as lovely as ever besides that.

Nice hotel and conference center. I really appreciate the on-site amenities. I get room service every time I'm there. It's strange how hotels used to be more like this. I love the vintage vibe. Makes me feel like a 1980s fancy lady. I will definitely be back.

There is a certain level of expectation when you stay at a Double Tree. I did not get it here. No real desk space or light at the "desk area". No electrical outlets there either. The one electrical outlet by the bed did not hold the charger for my phone right so the phone did not charge. Heard people playing in the pool, so the room was not quiet. All in all not what I would expect from abDouble Tree.

I loved the look of it. Very fancy, very elegant.... easy to access. My work meeting with kwik trip there was a blast. The grand ballroom was a perfect place to hold it. The hotel looked clean everywhere and well kept. Would definitely recommend.

Be Careful. The hotel has two separate sections and the tower which is away from m ain lobby is no good.
The parking area surprisingly has no camera surveillance and frequent thefts are reported from Cars. Management happily hides behind the ''owner is responsible' board.

The Shuttle service is no good. I wanted to get dropped to nearby Embassy suites by hilton ( 1 mile distance) and the driver asked me for the address (?????).
Perhaps this is too big for the management to manage.
Stayed last week.

Absolutely awful hotel. Rooms are dirty, carpeting is very worn and even stuff comes out of the air conditioning ducts in your room. Took me over an hour to call room service and get them to return my call. After leaving a message, I never received a call back. I would never stay there again. Rooms smell very musty and even a couple other rooms in our group had to move because of mold. There are free shuttles to the airport and Mall of America, but the shuttle drivers are very rude. We had to wait 45 minutes to get a bellman to answer our request for service with our luggage. The hotel in general is very outdated and understaffed.

Update 2.23.2018 - The hotel management team reached out to me and made a awesome effort to make it right. They owned the issues and promised to make the necessary corrections to the hotel and asked for me to give them another shot. This is certainly a hallmark of a great hotel and I will be giving them another shot for sure.

I was so incredibly disappointing with my stay at the Double Tree this week and felt I needed to comment.
1. The workout facility was a mess. Two treadmills had touch screens that didn't work and one of them knocked when I ran on the right side. The workout room had no ventilation so it smelled a lot in there.
2. I could never connect to the wifi on my iphone. No matter in my room or in the lobby it never worked. The one time I did get the prompt to come up it timed out. This is more typical at Hilton properties than not.
3. The light shined inside my room brightly from under the door. It was so bright and made it difficult to sleep.
4. The iron in the room was of low quality. I actually had to wear a different shirt because the iron couldn't get wrinkles out of my dress shirt that morning.

Not a great hotel.

Terrible service in the bar. Here for a conference and one person was buying hundreds of dollars worth of drinks for coworkers and friends and he was cut off for no reason. The bar tender was on a powertrip and treated us horribly. Terrible experience for us.

I was there for a professional event recently. The location was convenient, and the site itself was fine. The big standout was the service: every staff member I dealt with was very friendly, professional, and attentive.

I went to the DoubleTree by Hilton for a conference and found the prices to be reasonable, rooms to be clean, and a very comfortable bed. Overall, I realty enjoyed my stay. If we're back in town, I wouldn't mind staying there again..
