The building is really nice. I usually go for a convention, but i finally stayed in a room with a jacuzzi in it. So much room. I love that they give you a cookie when you check in.

Attended a conference here in April with about 500 people. Had a full group meeting and then break out sessions, there was more than enough room and rooms. Lunch was provided and was well plated and tasted fine, although it was not as hot as it should have been.
Nice rooms, great restaurant, a good gym for traveling, and all at a reasonable price.
It was a really nice hotel, very simple and easy to get around, nice staff. Good food, comfy rooms.
nice place but the handicap accessibility isn't the greatest
Nice Hilton, convenient to our eventual destination
Rooms we were in for a conference were small, and people were sitting on the floor at times. Food was incredibly good.
Another wonderful Nordic American Thanksgiving Breakfast. The Double Tree always does a great job of serving 800-plus attendees. The technical components of the venue, such as microphones, video, and screens, were flawless allowing everyone to see and hear the event unobstructed. The baked eggs and potatoes were good, and the coffee was ample. Always nice to enjoy a meal at a fully set round table covered with a tablecloth.
It's a nice enough building, but until it gets new management that's really all it's got going for it, and "nice building" isn't enough to be deserving of business. The incompetent management has been doing their best to drive out any events that used to make use of the space, and congratulations, through horrible practices, overcharging, mistreating hotel guests, and breaking contracts, they've succeeded. If you want to be treated with respect, stay somewhere else. If you just need a bed to sleep in... you should still probably stay somewhere else.
At least they've committed to a severe drop in profits that will likely result in another name change and new management in the not too distant future, at which point maybe it can move from "nice enough building" back to being a good hotel. Until then, steer clear.
This DoubleTree Hotels a little on the old side, however it still has its charms and the staff is quite accommodating. This visit I got to stay in one of their parlor Suites right next to the pool while it's nice to have a humongous room and a Murphy bed it is a little Annoying that the pool is so noisy to be by. The pool having to be open till 11 each night and then they tear down a lot of the equipment so it does get a little noisy until about 11:30 in the evening This location does have an executive Lounge on the 7th floor. Plenty of free parking and lots of fast food and restaurants are within walking distance.
Clean, nice environment. went to see the reptile show and wasn't disappointed
Spent the night here compliments of an overbooked flight. Hotel was clean although showing age, but very quiet. Fridge, micro in room as well as coffeemaker. No complimentary breakfast but there is a starbucks kiosk in the lobby.
Nice employees. I didn't receive my cookie when I 1st checked in which was a bummer. The rooms weren't as nice as I expected. A few stains in the carpets and I thought the fridge was broken but the last night if my stay I realized it was unplugged.
I have stayed here a few times and both experiences were good with clean rooms and friendly, attentive staff. Nice bar in the lobby with decent food and good drinks. The rooms are a bit dated and could use an updating.
During our stay, there was a large, loud party with DJ equipment in the room next to our that went on until 1:00am. There was extremely loud music and drunk obnoxious people spilling out of the room and into the hallway. We called the front desk at 11:30pm and asked if they could do something about the noise, but they refused. After the blaring music continued until well after midnight, my husband walked down to the front desk to ask them to intervene. The staff at the front desk was rude and refused to do anything about it. I have never been treated so poorly by hotel staff. I would expect much better customer service from a Hilton hotel. My husband stays at Hilton hotels frequently when he travels for work, and he was appalled at the rude and dismissing staff at the front desk!
Great place to hold a convention very accommodating
Room was dirty and out dated. Expensive for the room condition
I was there for a benefit breakfast. Nice place, easy parking, wide hallways, easy to find your way around. Cheerful friendly staff.
Didn't spend a lot of time in the room but everything iin the room was clean. The hallway (14th floor) was littered with debris and food crumbs. Elevators are hard but work fine.
Wonderful place for a convention. A lot of great memories were made there.
Went to a planning meeting for the science fiction convention that is held there annually. Clean comfortable, as usual.
Nice large facility great for hosting small to very large events. Very attentive staff and good food.
We had a really great time there. Great rooms for a family christmas
Great room, great shower and great bed with a good night sleep. Great shuttle service to the airport. We loved it.
I attended a Beach body Super Saturday event. The space was good (a little small for the workout). Staff was great for preparing the room for the workout. Space was clean
I didn't stay, but visited a friend staying there for a convention. This place is old and showing it's age. They have done minor updates to the room. The hallways lobby and elevators look like they're stuck in the 80s. And the lobby was so over scented with some perfume I couldn't stand it. It made me grateful to smell the pool chlorine.
One of the The greatest hotels I ve stayed with its grandquis ballroom, pool and spa and location I also need too note.. the staff that has never let me down! When I stay in Minnesota I stay at the Doubletree hotel and don t forget your cookie.
FREE LARGE PARKING, CLEANING IN THE SPACES, RESPECT AND ATTENTION AND GOOD PRICES FOR SPACES FOR OUR CONFERENCES.
-Service was great, place was clean.
-Tv had plenty of channels to no extra fee.
- Showers had plenty of towels.
- This hotel does allow dogs, and you can even leave them in the rooms a lone for a bit.
- Pool and Fitness room was simple but great.
Mall of America is near by. About a 10 minute drive. The location of the hotel isn't bad. Has several restaurants nearby and a gas station as well. Upon arrival, check in was smooth. Got our complimentary cookies. Room was okay nothing too fancy. But the bathroom definitely was out dated. Very noisy as well. You can hear people in the hallway very clear. And above you and next door is the same way. Not my best double tree experience.
The old tower is a what you would expect of an older hotel, but not a bad location or price.
You are very pretty on all sides and the pool is very nice. I went for something professional for my job.
The hotel is good and all. The best is the lounge and Tim at the bar. He knows so much about the region and was like a free virtually tour guide. Plus he was just an outstanding person. People make all the difference.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Staff was friendly and helpful. The public areas were clean.
I went to an event, service was prompt but the staff seemed irritated to be there not one smile.
Great stay! Pool was clean lots of towels by the pool. Kids had a great time.
In spite of having made a reservation a week before (and being a Hilton Honors member), they oversold the hotel and when I arrived, they were out of rooms. They literally could only arrange to send me to a Super 8.
I' m nostalgic for the building it was Radisson South before it became a double tree that I'm aware of
Room was super clean, staff were super friendly and super helpful. Been at this hotel for multiple conventions and just love the place.
I have only been there for conference meetings, but it's a very nice location, great restaurant, and comfortable seating.
The old Bloomington Radisson, it has larger event spaces then most of the newer hotels.
The rooms are nice and clean. The lobby area is updated and has a Starbucks that is opened in the morning. The pool water was pretty cold and the tiles around the pool are insanely slippery. Bring sandals or crawl on your hands and knees.
Cookies are legit, will only cost you a nights sleep.
Management has no regard for agreements with event holders. Breaks contracts only weeks before the event. The event I attend, with thousands of attendeees, almost was crippled weeks before the event, since management decided to break the contract yet again. Don't host your event here.
I was only here for the Mpls Mart show last week so I can't speak to the rooms. However, the staff I interacted with were friendly and the public areas were decent. Seemed like they host a ton of events so it is on my list of places to check out should I ever need a space to rent.
Great location near restaurants and 5 to 10 minutes away from Mall of America
Great place for a convention. Always well taken care of.
New owners are terrible, elitist, and underhanded. They don't appreciate their clients including ones that have been loyal to their hotel for years and years. Stay away!
Airport shuttle took quite a long time to arrive, then check in took a long time as there were several to check in who had also been waiting at airport long for shuttle, only had one workig check in. Once all of that was out of thr way, room is comfortable. Shower is great, temp actually gets hot and stays there, and the water pressure was incredible.
Event hostile - sign contracts at your own risk! They WILL use it to try to screw your organization over!
This hotel has great event spaces and used to be the best place to host large events but the new owners of the hotel have made a practice of screwing over large events.
If you host an event, try anywhere but here!
Was here for a conference. The staff here make this place fantastic! They were overly accommodating and consistently willing to go above and Beyond to make my stay comfortable. The rooms are pretty basic, no complaints. They do have a pool and hot-tub, both are pretty standard. The meeting rooms are very large and modern. I would definitely recommend staying in this establishment.
A little dated on the outside and common spaces. But nice rooms and nice bar/restaurant.
Was a good stay. Could really hear through the walls tho. Lots of nose Friday night.
DoubleTree by Hilton in Bloomington, MAN was clean and very efficient. The personal was friendly and helpful.
Most of the staff is super-friendly, though I have had some issues with desk clerks checking in.
Went for Convergence. Have previously attended for Anime Detour. Was a great experience, hotel staff provided an excellent convention space.
Rooms and hotel layout is extremely nice and modern.
The hotel room itself was good with the exception of the curtains. I tried to sleep in on two mornings, but the black out curtains let light in at the bottom and reflected off the window seal and the air conditioner. With the hotel not being even half full, I would have thought they would have occupied rooms spaced apart (For covid reasons and so you can social distance while getting into your room and going through the hallways. Most people would take off their masks when exiting the elevators.) but they were not. Had people across and on both sides of me.
I should have called ahead of time to see about the possibility of getting a room upgrade, because I might have stayed at a different location. I was told at check in that there were no upgrades available because of a group staying there. There was hardly anyone there on a Tuesday night and the first parking lot was maybe half full (Zombie land, no one around....). I checked the next morning and was told they were expecting 150 more people to check in Wednesday. If the lady told me that on Tuesday then I would have believed her.
No breakfast because the restaurant was only doing lunch and dinner this week. I had to get free premade stuff from the coffee shop, which was just okay.
The staff was great, very attentive and helpful. There's a new section in an old section -the new section was nice. I had a few problems in the room, but they were all promptly attended to. I am a Gold Member and they had some nice perks for us. They have a shuttle to and from the airport on a regular schedule. The view from one of the top floors is quite stunning
Great service, especially at the front desk. The rooms are pretty updated but some parts falling apart (the walls in the bathroom were gross). Room service was great. All in all, a solid stay.
This place is over-priced, particularly since our bed had a canyon in the middle that would have felt at home in Arizona. All the furniture in our room was chipped. Way too much light leaked in around the window and door at night. It was fairly quiet, but I still couldn't sleep on the sloping bed in the bright room. Also, be careful at the Starbucks--they serve their venti drinks in 16 oz. cups. This place will rip you off any way they can.
Absolutely terrible mattreses from what I would expect at a double tree.poor sound insulation
Delta put us in this hotel. The front desk staff was very nice and friendly. The room was quiet.
Rooms are okay and service is great (shuttles are cool).
What a delightful experience. Staff was excellent and the cleanliness was superb! I will recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.
Great staff. Clean rooms. Nice place to stay overnight or for a few days.
Nothing like their beds and bedding! Nice place for a quiet getaway! The staff is always helpful
