I had a great experience here. I was working with Greg and I wanted a specific Jetta. He found it for me and held it until I was able to come up with my down payment cash. We settled on a price over emails and I got there and there were no surprises. Also, when I got there the car was detailed and parked right out in front which was nice. Good place.

I will never go anywhere else because of George our sales guy. He's laid back, not a hard seller just listens to your wants and needs to help. He makes car shopping fun. We came to look at a few cars we thought we wanted but they weren't what we thought. After talking and listening he brought us to just one car that fit every perimeter including price! I just want to tell everyone go to dick Hannah VW and ask for George!

This review is leaning mostly towards the service ...

This review is leaning mostly towards the service department of Dick Hannah Volkswagen. Pablo Ulibarri treated us horrible from the start of our car having problems. We just bought our car on June 22nd. It's a 2010 Chrysler Sebring, low miles, & clean inside. We recently filed bankruptcy and knew we'd be signed up for higher interest rates & payments. That was something we were prepared for. My husband made sure that their Rewards/Customer Loyalty program (that you automatically get enrolled into) covered everything on the new car we just bought. He asked repeatedly in the Sales department that no matter what they'll cover any issue. Unfortunately, they didn't explain that only somethings were covered.

Just the other day our alternator blew. My husband went into Dick Hannah to speak to the service department. Pablo kept walking away and taking care of other issues, telling him to hold on and also said he would have to call to see if we had extended warranty. This was after they gave us a Jetta service car to borrow while ours wasn't working. He didn't want to help us at that time, and had better things to do. Later that day we find out the cars alternator is not covered, we'd have to pay for the tow truck, and also the rental car. My husband was told that the car was going to be completely covered if anything was to go wrong. Pablo was no help - my husband called the sales department and they were able to pay for half of it, knowing how frustrated we were to have to go through this. When we went back in to pick up our car, Pablo was the one who helped us again. He had us come up to his counter. And then proceeded to walk off and speak into his walkie talkie, ignoring us. He had a bad attitude with us.

A little about Pablo - He has never serviced a car in his life. And couldn't give me an answer on how long alternators usually last on a Chrysler Sebring. But said VW's last about 12 years. This we know since we once had a VW our self.

A 2010 Chrysler, and the alternator goes out after 4 years? You would think a popular dealership like Dick Hannah would make sure all their cars were reliable. Or at least cover the car within the 90 days. I don't care that it's a used car. It's still new! With low miles.

Our car was also not even detailed when we picked it up.

We just bought a new car, put money down on it, trusted that it was reliable, and paid our first car payment all to find out we needed to fork more money out to it.

I would not take my car to the service department their again.

We are not 100% pleased with our purchase. I wish we would have gone elsewhere.

Good people work at Acura of Portland or Nissan of Portland - Go check them out before you go here. We couldn't even speak to someone higher up than Pablo. Maybe he was scared that he would get in trouble for his horrible customer service. Who knows.

I m from California and purchased a VW from Hannah...

I m from California and purchased a VW from Hannah when visiting family over a weekend. I had been scouring the internet for several months and found the absolute best deal anywhere on the West Coast for a Certified Pre-Owned CC. Josh, the sales person, arranged everything in advance so the transaction was quick so I was able to enjoy my weekend.

After returning to California the after-market sun-roof started giving me trouble. The local dealer told me that they could not repair it and that it was not covered under the warranty. I called VW and they politely, but firmly, stated that neither they nor the dealer had any responsibility.

Then I contacted the folks at Hannah. Jay, a manager, got right back to me and said they would take care of it and pay for the repairs. I got the repairs done here in California and they reimbursed me. Jay kept on top of it through the whole process and even made sure the reimbursement was sent FedEx overnight! It s a long way to Vancouver from Sacramento but when I m ready to trade in my CC it ll be Hannah VW of bust! Thank you Josh and especially - thank you Jay!

All in all, a wonderful, non stress, highly enjoyable experience. Many thanks to Greg for making it a joy to purchase a vehicle.

Received a call yesterday, 2/14/16 from Dimitry as...

Received a call yesterday, 2/14/16 from Dimitry asking us if we were looking to purchase a new car. We advised him of our situation and that we were considering trading in one our cars and possibly refinancing another. We were advised to come in and see what could be done and so we did. Dimitry said that he wanted to work on our Prius first to see if they could refinance it for a lower rate. We were surprised that a dealership could do that but figured why not check it out. He came back and said that they could lower our payment by 100.00 but that there would be about 2,000 in fees for doing this. We asked if we were to refinance with a local bank would there be that much in fees. He said there would be. Hesitantly we decided to do the refinance and was shortly sat down with Tony Songvilay. After about an hour the paperwork was done and our car that when we came into the dealership only owed about 23k on was now at almost 28k. When we got home we did some research and found that we could have gotten a much lower interest and not have to pay an extra 4 to 5k in fees to redo the loan. We have emailed Tony to see if he could cancel the deal since none of the banks will be open till Tuesday because of the holiday weekend but our fear is that since we signed, we would be stuck with what we got. It appears that they made it look like they bought our car for the 23k and then resold it back to us in order to get the refinance of the loan. And to top it off, they were not able to do anything with our other car which was one of the main reasons for going. Hoping that they will cancel this deal that we put down on Sunday, but doubt they will and I am now hesitant about doing any other business with them. It was my own fault, I decided to sign things even though I wasnt 100% comfortable with the deal. I would suggest for others, if your not comfortable with the deal, walk away and dont have any regrets like we do currently.

Edit: 2/15/16 - Received a call this evening from Jonathan at the dealership. He stated that he saw my post here on Google and wanted to make things right. We were allowed to cancel the deal that we had signed on 2/14/16 and had to go into the dealership this evening and sign a document to cancel the deal. We have emailed Tony to have a copy of the document that we signed tonight emailed to us for our records so that we have proof that deal cancelled the but have yet to receive a response. We were also asked by Jonathan to delete our review. I checked to see if there was a way to delete a review but I dont see that option. Jonathan asked that if we couldnt delete the review that we at least state that 2,000 of the fees were because of state taxes and licensing and the other 2,000 was because optional GAP and Maintenance for the vehicle. So I am adding that to this review as per requested.

I would give this a -5 stars after my experience. My husband and I came in to look at a specific vehicle and were delighted to find something similar with a warrantee. When we sat down to negotiate price and purchasing Yuri did let us know that likely we would only see a few hundred dollars of flexibility. When the sales manager Cooper came to the table he had not adjusted the price and would not answer HR request to drop the price. As a woman in these situations I often times meat adversity, however this one takes the cake! Our last straw was when Cooper told me that I needed to stop interrupting him so that he could speak, while simultaneously turning to my husband to finish the conversation. Eliminating me from the communication with his body language. When my husband tried to address this and asked him not to be rude he Cut my husband off and told us he wasn t being rude. This was one of the worst Car buying experience is we have ever had and we have been to multiple locations! We even live in Oregon and drove to Washington specifically to come to this dealership. Never again. P.S. if you are female do not go here!

I came in a couple weeks ago looking to get another vehicle for myself. I was greeted by a salesman, Enzo, who was very informative. I ended up test driving a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T TSi as I was looking at purchasing a new car for my girlfriend too. However, I ended up going with a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line TSi 4Motion. There wasn't any pressure once so ever and I got a very good deal on the purchase price. I highly recommend coming in to see Enzo if you're looking at purchasing or leasing a used or new car. The buying experience wasn't time consuming and the business manager, Roy, was a pleasure to work with too. As well as dealing with, Kori, the finance manager.

I recently purchased a used Passat from Greg Foumal. He was excellent, responsive and transparent. He went the extra mile to help me with my purchase as I live almost 7 hours away and was able to conduct all our business remotely. The final contracts were the terms we had agreed to and I m very pleased with my new-to-me VW. This is the third VW I ve bought and the first time I d consider returning to the same dealer to work with Greg again for future VWs!

My experience with Dick Hannah VW in Vancouver was lengthy and very regrettable. I chose to do my shopping and negotiating online to avoid wasted trips to the dealership. I worked back and forth with representatives for almost 2 months. For most of the process I thought I was being treated fairly, but as negotations escalated the many lies that had been told by the dealership came to light and the whole process fell apart. A salesperson by the name of Barbie stood out as being the ringleader of the dishonesty. When people tell horror stories about car dealerships, this is the type of place they are describing. If you are looking for a place to buy a car, I recommend trying elsewhere. This dealership, and Barbie, have proven that flat out lying is still a tactic used in this industry. I was saddened to see things fall apart, but I now feel relief knowing that I did not actually buy a car from this group of unsavory salespeople. Learn from my mistakes and do not waste a minute of your time with this dealership.

Interacted with Greg Foumal remotely from the very start. He and the remainder of the sales support staff were a pleasure to work with. I initiated contact from out of town, but communications progressed fluidly and comfortably as needed between phone, email, and text. The entire interaction was positive, thoughtful, informative, and forthright. Couldn't imagine a more pleasant or productive interaction. Based on my experience to date, if you're interested in a Volkswagen, I highly recommend giving Greg a call. (I have a local VW dealership available to me. Greg Foumal, and thus Dick Hannah, earned my business from over 100 miles away.)

Had an EXCELLENT experience at DH Vancouver last weekend with Larry Llorente and Nick Blystone. I went into the dealership with nothing but past buyer history, a sincere need for a car, and hope. After wrangling to make a deal on my behalf, Larry got me into a gorgeous, obviously babied, certified-used Golf TSI. I'm just crazy about it. :) Nick spent some time with me individually, and is personable but professional, and rocking some of the world's best hair. :D I watched him for a while, as he made his way to literally every prospective buyer, making each customer feel seen and heard and valued. SKILLZ! :) Larry listened to me as I told my sob story about my last VW being totalled out, as well as the one before that, and my annoyance with the Mercedes I'd recently leased. ;) Nothing drives like a Volkswagen, and nobody treats me better than Dick Hannah VW, and I'm glad I went back to both. :) THANK YOU, LARRY AND NICK!!! <3 <3 <3

I took my car in for its 60,000 mile service last week thinking it was a good idea to take it to the dealer while still under warranty, and came away very disappointed with this place. Service was very overpriced, it took almost an hour more than quoted (and they did not let me know this while I was waiting), and at the end, they tried to tell me that something was wrong with my car that was not. After already feeling dissatisfied, I decided to take the repairs to Honest-1 and have them look at it. They were the ones who looked at the print out I was given and were able to tell me that Dick Hannah was trying to rip me off and that my car did not need another $300 in repairs. Not trustworthy people.

I had been researching vehicles on my own as I knew that my present vehicle needed to be replaced. I knew that I wanted a mid sized SUV or crossover for my new vehicle. After looking at what was available on the local market, (everything from 28,000 to $66,000), I was surprised and very happy to find what I was looking for at Dick Hannah VW. We had stopped there to get oil for another of our vehicles. My husband had me come in the store to look at what VW had available, (he wanted me to look at the Atlas).
We were greeted by Cooper, who asked if there was anything we wanted to look at or anything that he could help us find. I told him what I had been researching and asked what VW had that fit the criteria that was most important to me. I only had to look at 2 vehicles to find the style I wanted. Finding my choice of color and interiors took them a bit longer to find, but they managed to find exactly what I wanted in just two hours! Cooper drove to the dealership that had the vehicle and brought it directly to my doorstep later that evening. What a great vehicle buying experience!
Cooper has followed up with phone calls to make sure that my questions are answered and that I am still liking my car.
There is great value in VW and in Nice with a smile!

I drove into service without an appointment, on my white dirty car and was greeted by Vlad. I'm truly grateful to him, for taking such good care of me. Right there, on the spot he fixed a few details that were bugging me. Then helped me order a few small parts for my car. I know it can be hard to deal with picky customers and sometimes your frustration can slip. Not with Vlad, he greeted me with a big smile and was just as friendly till the end.

After a few ridiculous experiences with dealerships I was bracing for another scam - but THIS place was GREAT!


The people are professional, friendly and actually remarkably helpful.
The salesman Cort offered to picked me up at the train station (I had to figure out a way to come from Seattle that did not involve driving) AND he helped me work out a better deal even though the car has been already pretty reasonably priced.
I never felt so well taken care of by a dealership when purchasing a pre-owned car.



BTW - LOVE my car!!! I drove it back in the nasty foggy evening - it handles and rides Great!

I went in to buy a car and Larry Llorente and Ricky worked very hard to make sure I got the car I wanted at a price I could afford. Larry let me drive all the cars I was interested in and they both even stayed after closing to make sure I left with it that day. If you need to buy a vehicle you should go find Larry at Dick Hannah Volkswagen. Super friendly and he'll make sure you get what you want.

I initially left a bad review because I wasn t happy with the service. This happens. But what doesn t usually happen is the follow through to make sure I was happy. Roy and Samantha went above and beyond to see that I left Dick Hannah with a positive experience. Thank you for all your help and for excellent customer service

I initially left a nice review but now I m going to leave a honest review. I bought I car in November.
Am I happy with the car? Yes.
Would I have recommend or go back to Dick Hannah? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Here s a brief recap of the 6-7 hour day I had...
I took my old car in for a service. After scheduling the service I received an email about trading my car in and if I did all services would also be paid for...I was only getting an oil change but also needed an AWD vehicle for a safer car for our new daughter.
When I went in to talk to someone I made it very clear we could only afford a $300/month car payment. Here is what happened from there...
1.) I spent 3 hours test driving a brand new car, continually saying no as the payment per month went from $600/month to finally the amazing price of $395/month to lease the car with about 1,000 miles per month. Hmmmm I definitely told the manager and the sales person over and over $300 was our max.
2.) I actually asked for my keys back (because my cars service was done) 3-4 times because they kept coming back with deals that were not even close to what I was asking for. Each time I asked for my keys they came back with a new price or deal.
3.) I was there from 9am-3:30pm I was offered water once (they only offered anything when they were presenting me with the new car)
4.) After a few hours of the back and forth of them getting me in the new car . I never wanted a new car but was under the impression that they were somehow going to keep the payment to $300/month because that was our max and they trying to make that work it was clear that wasn t happening.
5.) Finally they started showing me used car options about 3 hours into me being there...I still had asked for my keys I was tired. I said I just wanted to think on some things and AGAIN was just talked at.
6.) lastly...I still haven t gotten $100 check for the oil change. After trading in my car my services for that day were supposed to be covered. I have called every month since November and still haven t gotten the check. Am I making a big deal out of nothing? I spent $22,000 after the $4,000 extended warranty (which I said no to and still was somehow pressured into). So after spending 6-7 hours without even a coffee or a donut spending $22,000 you aren t even going to honor giving me $100 back?
Was I forced to by a car? No
Was I pressured and somewhat bullied to by a car? Yes.
I own a business so I know all about customer service. I also have lots of people I interact with and share my experiences with through my business.
Have I recommended Dick Hannah? Nope.
Have I shared my experience with a lot of people? Yes.
Believe in nice. The next time you want to be nice start by listening to what your customer is actually asking for. I am a mom, wife, business owner, consumer. I would have loved to have had my car buying experience have been a pleasant one.
This is my third time buying a car from a dealership (the other two times were not Dick Hannah). The other times were great this time, in April, I still have a bad feeling from the way I was treated that day.
When you make a big investment make sure you are giving your money to people who really know the meaning of customer service.

Very nice experience. No pressure just friendly and helpful in finding the best used SUV for my old dog to get in and out of. We looked at many different styles there was a lot of choices. . George was happy to show them all and finally we all came together with a fair deal that everyone was comfortable with and I can away with the perfect car for me and Fido.

My mother recently blew a fuse in her 2012 Jetta (penny was wedged in the cigarette lighter and didn't take kindly to us attempting to plug a phone charger in). We headed to the dealership on a sunday forgetting that the service department would be closed. A gentleman by the name of Bruce came out and got under the hood and the dash to find the popped fuse and a gentleman named Cort went to his personal vehicle to get an extra fuse that he had to put in my mother's car. Free of charge. In the sun. On a 100 degree day. This is above and beyond and I cannot recommend them enough.

Pleasantly surprised! Very professional, friendly, and knowledgable. I can feel the passion all the employees have for VW, and I love that.
When they say believe in nice.... they really mean it!!
Great staff no pressure... they will help you get in the car you want, and if it doesn t feel right... it s ok!
From the salesman to the paperwork guys I have nothing bad to say... great experience all around, drove a car I was thinking about buying for a whole day and when I byti back saying I don t like it .. not a problem, they showed me something different that not only fit my budget but something I really loved!!

I've been to several dealerships in the area and haven't had any luck finding the right car. I called into Dick Hannah Volkswagen and spoke with Nicholas and was able to track down the car I eventually bought. Pleasant place to trade in my Tiguan and purchase a certified used VW Atlas.
Be aware that if the Atlas is not set up from The VW Factory with a receiver hitch you will need to go somewhere besides a VW dealer to have a Class 4 Hitch with the necessary electric brake sensor to tow a travel trailer.

Great service, wonderful staff. Buying a car is often a stressful and harrowing experience, especially since (in my experience) you enter with certain expectations and then are forced down a path you don't intend to go. However, Greg and his team were always trying to help me towards my own goals, not towards the company's, and that is something that is important to me.

The one star is for the "service" department. I'm really disappointed. We have bought SIX cars in the last 5 years form Dick Hannah, 4 of them new cars. Sadly, I do not know that I will return after our current leases are up due to several customer service issues, all in the span of three days.

From the time I walked in the door the team of guys, Mike, Larry, George and Cooper went above and beyond the expectations I had to helping me get into a new car.

My credit wasn t that great and was worried I wouldn t be unable to purchase anything while keeping within my budget. Mike and Larry were wonderful and did exactly as we discussed.

Car buying can be so stressful but they all worked together to make it happen. Absolutely no pressure or stress what so ever. Each one of them were very friendly and easy to talk to. I felt like they genuinely were looking out for my best interest in getting me into the best deal available.

Service employees were very knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. Ryan, my technician kept in contact with me throughout the process via text to give me updates on status of service and what was needed. Ryan and Heather went above and beyond by getting an accessory they didn't stock from another location, saving me the trip. I left the dealership feeling very confident that I got the recommended maintenance done on my vehicle on schedule. This level of service convinced me that I can't take my vehicle anyplace else for service. Also, during COVID it was comforting to see staff wiping down the showroom and waiting areas. Every staff member that walked past me while I was waiting, stopped to make sure I was being helped and asked if I needed anything...leaving no doubt in my mind where I will purchase my next vehicle.

Although purchasing a new car is always stressful, our experience was positive. We are past owners of a TDI who really loved our Jetta. But being part of the EPA government buy back program, we still wanted to continue with Jetta ownership. Nicholas, Travis and Colby were great to work with. Each person went out their way to make us feel comfortable with our new purchase.

Everything was pre-negotiated and credit app was complete in advance. Car was picked out. I have never been at a car dealership for 2 1/2 hours. I have bought many cars and have preselected and prenegotiated everything and always spend less than an hour at the dealership. We now have received an e-mail that they forgot to have us sign something and want us to drive back AGAIN to the dealership. My time is more valuable than this.

The car buying experience was fine, but their service is terrible.

I called to make an appointment to get cosmetic repairs done on my rims after I scraped them on a curb. I was told to come in on a Thursday to get this type of work done because it gets outsourced to a 3rd party. I have had this same type of work done in the past, and it took a few days to complete which is understandable, but I need a car for work so I asked if they had a loaner or rental I could use. The person on the phone assured me that they would allow me to use one of their loaners for no charge.

When I showed up at the appointed day and time they informed me that it wasn t the day of the week that the vendor comes so I would need to come back on a Tuesday.

On top of that they also said that I would need to pay $25/day for a rental car while my rims were being repaired, which could be a 2-3 day timeframe.

Overall the service associate made absolutely zero effort to make anything right except to reschedule my appointment for another day.

In response to Dick Hannah s reply to my review -

My review was based on the fact that the person that scheduled my appointment gave me two pieces of incorrect information, and instead of making things right, Dick Hannah refused to acknowledge their culpability in the matter. Furthermore Dick Hannah refused to compensate me for wasting my time and unexpected additional charges. Their reply to my review is further demonstration of their lack of customer service.

I did NOT have any complaints about them using a 3rd party to fix my rims. I also did NOT have any complaints about the amount of time they said it would take. My complaints were that I was told to come in on a Thursday to ensure that it would correspond with the day their 3rd party is on site. I arrived on a Thursday and was told their 3rd party was not on site on Thursdays. Secondly, the scheduling agent assured me that I would be able to use a complimentary loaner vehicle for the duration of the repair. When I arrived I was told that they would NOT give me a loaner because of the type of repair I was there for.

I can understand an employee making a mistake and providing inaccurate information. The part that I cannot understand is Dick Hannah s complete inability and unwillingness to rectify the problems created by their own employee. They wasted my time and added a rental cost that I was assured would have been provided free of charge, and they continue to reinforce my understanding of their lack of customer service.
