Very positive surprise! The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation, and while the work still seems to go on for a while, we hugely enjoyed the very modern, stylish and convenient design of our renovated room. The breakfast buffet in Forte restaurant is a stand-out - they serve a range of substantial dishes such as yummy bakes, breakfast pizza, and eggs made to order. The spa area is not renovated yet but features a spacious hot tub, a sizeable indoor pool, steam room, and a cute outdoor dry sauna.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, just on the margin a few staff members appeared poorly trained (e.g., it was a challenge to have my laundry picked up because the operator insisted that there is no laundry service - although there is!).

Location is also good - the property is roughly in the middle between Calgary and Banff, and you have beautiful vistas - while the property is surrounded by trees, it is just steps away from the rim of the plateau on which it sits, and the rim trail offers spectacular views of the valley.
