Simply awesome!!! A very quiet place and amazing scenery. One feels like going there very often. We had the fortune of watching four young rams in line along the road.

This place is a joke. Our family booked a night here at $450.00/night.
Only to be told that the hotel is full and you can't book a supper Reservation. Then they conviently tack on 20% tips and gratuity to your bill plus a $5 delivery charge if you want to order room service. Plus they won't let your kids eat Free as they say they can when you book a reservation in the restaurant. This place doesn't feel welcoming at all . Staff are rude and not helpful at all. I will never be back. Definitely not family friendly. We checked in at 11am and they didn't mention that the hotel is full and we should make a supper Reservation. Now there totally full so I guess we drive an hour to eat supper. Or you can go sit at a bar with your kids. Lol.... At $500/night I really expected more than this.
This place is a money grab. Ide keep going to Banff next time, or find another place to stay.
I give it a 3/10 and only because the kids had fun at the pool and the room is nice.
I have been working here for almost 6 month and I would rather stay here sometime than go hone to Edmonton ever day the mountains look different you see the weather change moving in I love it and the people here are great especially at BLACK TAIL my resteraunt of chose
It is a beautiful resort. Very clean and quiet. The food is delicious.
Absolutely stunning views and first class accommodations. Great hiking with little to no commercialization like you see in Banff. A must visit!
Undergoing renos at the time I visited....issues with hot water availability. Room I was in was recently renovated and was very nice. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable.
I came here for a very expensive wedding.
+ The food at the wedding was great.
+ They let in pets.
- The rooms are outdated and do not have air-conditioning. Especially for the price they are going for, its a bit ridiculous.
- The wedding staff (not the servers) were very rude to the guests.
Would not come back to this hotel.
The hotel is in the most amazing setting but that's where the good new ends. First with current renovations, it is near impossible to find the check in, your room and the underground parking. Once I got to my newly renovated room I discovered that the ac was too little to cool the room even when I left it on all day. Then they turned off the water from 11-3pm or so the signs said but at 5:30 there still was no water. So I called and asked for some water to be sent up, it came 30min later. Save your self some grieve stay elsewhere.
Beautiful, nice staff, good food and a great Annual general meeting!
Nice place to relax in summer. Staff extremely nice.
Nice retreat in the mountains. I enjoyed my stay here.
Heating the rooms with portable heaters because their central heating was not working. We had a conference held here and the room was so cold that a pipe burst, thankfully we were out of there before that happened. Considering this is supposed to be a 4+ star hotel felt less then a 3 star ..
My stay was absolutely incredible. Would give a higher rating if possible. We stayed in the hospitality suite, and it was well worth it! A beautiful dining room and living area, with access to a full bar and all the snacks you could ever need. The staff were attentive & kind, and always went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
The Nordic Spa provided hours of luxurious relaxation, and I definitely recommend setting aside time to enjoy them during your stay.
Overall it was a wonderful, comfortable and rejuvenating experience. We did not want to leave! 10/10 would recommend!!
Very pleasant stay, loved every minute. Staff were nice and helpful. Enjoyed the nightly smores they have for free during the summer! Very spacious grounds where you can enjoy the breath taking views biking or just walking around.
Beautiful place. Great service. Lots to do. Recommend this place to anyone
All around had great service for the weekend. Can't wait to go back!
Beautiful views! Still amongst renovations. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Friendly and professional staff. Hotel was undergoing renovations so lots of closed off sections and equipment about, but did not impact our stay in any way.
Beautiful resort. The nordic spa is well worth the price of entry!
Older building that's been freshly renovated to a high standard. Decent variety of shops and restaurants and activities onsite, enough to hang out for a day or two. Very nice hotel that will only get better when the new spa is finished!
There are many positives to this place but unfortunately to many negatives. The food at the Italian restaurant was awesome! and the wings at the lobby bar were great to.
So the negatives...
1)Let's start with checking in. No offer to take the bags or valet parking (not that I was taking it). a $12.50 charge to park my car underground when you pay $400 dollars for the night lol
2) The redid the rooms, AC is right above your bed and extremely lound to the point where you can't sleep or watch TV. My wife and I checked out at 6:30 am as neither of us could sleep
3) There was a mouse in the lobby, I get it we are in the mountains but they didn't seem to care when I told them
4) When we left Saturday am my wife forgot her ID in the hotel. I called Sunday night to see if it was there and it was....no one could call us earlier? The nice thing was a hotel employee that brought it back into Calgary on his way home, great guy! If not they were going to charge me Can Post to have it delivered to my house.
5) Tried to order a drink to our room at 10:18pm and they told me it would be a min of 30min.
Between the room, dinner, spa, etc we spent over $800 for a night at this hotel. They ended up taking my $12.50 parking off, yipeee!
As someone that travels a lot for business I was expecting a lot more. I would not recommend this place due to the cost and lack of customer service
Overall and excellent stay. The staff are friendly and helpfull. The rooms are clean and newly renovated. Definitely worth the stay.
Best mountain lodge in the middle of wilderness. Great place to have a romantic time with your loved ones. Spa is world class .
The rooms were upgrade, hotel was quiet. The setting is a absolutely beautiful. Pool area was great for kids. Massage and Nordic spa were fantastic add-ons.
Food was totally BAD. The one restaurant was overpriced for the quality of the food. Food was BAD!!
Excellent staff - very willing to accommodate special requests and go above and beyond what we paid for to give the best Christmas experience possible.
Visited the lodge on the weekend. Beautiful setting and lovely room. Not a lot of choice when it came to restaurants as some were closed. Overall a good experience.
Room is nice and well specced, as is the hotel, but the door to the hall offers nearly no soundproofing and the hall is very echoey, so every mumble of every person walking past sounds like they're shouting in the room with you. And the bathroom has no extraction fan, so skip the chili.
Under renovation and no A/C in the room. The food at the Forte restaurant was amazing, and made up for the lacking service. Pool area desperately needs a facelift, but a reno is already planned. Everything else is quite nice including the spa and the surrounding view is spectacular with mountains in every direction.
Amazing Post Renovations! I am pleased to say we were very happy with our room, and our meals at the restaurants (cedar, forte). Service from the staff we had interactions with. The kid area of the pool is an Awesome design!
Now for the bad.....the change rooms were beyond filthy at the pool. I don t remember the last time I was in a change room that had a floor as messy as this. There was all kinds of hair and mess all over and it was really wet.
I understand that the pool is busy but you need to be on top of this type of upkeep. Especially when you have priced yourself to compete with the fairmont and rimrock. Their facilities are never this messy.
Great place, unbelievable views, friendly staff. Love the walking trails. If you want to be away from it all it's the place to be. If you want to be closer to the action, Banff or Canmore will suit you more.
Lovely hotel in a great area. Lovely hiking and fishing near by. Good service and nice rooms
Woody's bar has decent food good prices laid-back atmosphere.
Amqzing prices now if anyone needs to enjoy Mountains .
Absolutely lovely facilities and location, pleasant staff and awesome views
Amazing place to rest with your family have several activities for children and adults, the staff is excellent.
Fantastic location, great spa, excellent restaurants.
The positive - never has there ever been more friendly staff, rooms are beautiful, food is great, and you're snack dab in the middle of the mountains.
The negative - the pillows are insanely huge, uncomfortable and clearly made for giants. Even the smaller pillows brought up by housekeeping were still crazy thick and way too firm. Add to that a lack of air conditioning and you have the recipe for a bad sleep.
Bottom line, it is a great property but if you don't like thick pillows and warm rooms, them being a pillow from home and an eye mask so you can leave the window and curtains open.
Hands down one of the nicest resorts I've had the pleasure of staying at. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and everything is clean and well laid out. The staff are top notch, the food at the restaurants is amazing... Honestly, you can't go wrong if you stay here. 5/5 all day every day.
This used to be a favorite of our family, but since Marriott has taken it over, there have been subtle decreases in the service. Used to be lots of nice little touches when you checked in and around the hotel, but seems a lot more soul-less now. On the plus side, the pool/hot tub is great for kids. It's in a beautiful location, it's pet-friendly.
The restaurants could use an upgrade. The brunch used to be outstanding, but was very average (and expensive) the last time we went.
They were absolutely fantastic on every front. Everyone I had to deal with was so helpful and friendly.
The service was great! The room was a bit dated and had no air conditioning or air flow. Made for a really warm night even when if they supplied a fan.
Nice resort, only 2 issues, the price of food here is on the high side. Also the pool area, during Covid, states numbers of people in places, but no one is around to check, as well, they have Health and safety rules posted, number 3, mandatory to shower before entering, I counted 40 people come in after me, and only 3 followed that rule. I suggest that they should have a person monitoring this for the interim.
Comfortable , clean spacious rooms. Great service. Beautiful location.
Elegant hotel, with roasted marshmallows, special activities of baking and adding chocolate to the biscuits, there are trails around, there are multiple landscape spots, squirrels, longhorn deer are seen along the way.
Was here for a wedding . It is a Beautiful area . Staff was horrible and the place is way over priced for anything
Wonderful staff, but some things in the room were messy/out of place
Incredible resort and spectacular scenery. Awesome service and very comfortable rooms. Will definitely return!
I have been going there for past 2-3 years for breakfast. Amazing Buffest style menu with loads of options
Dated and not worth the money. We've stayed here 3 times now and have been disappointed every time.
It's a nice hotel and you can't beat the location, but the facility needs some upgrades. Room temperature always seems to be an issue (freezing or boiling) and everything is getting run-down. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Expensive place. But doesn't have many options for entertainment or food
This place will always be one of my favorite spots. And love it even more since the update. Great family activities, so comfortable, great food, and attentive staff. The waterpark is amazing! And the fact that kids eat free at the buffet is a big win. We love that we can take the family dog too. He loves it. If you are a family with small kids the family suite is a must - and wonderful!
Went for a friend's wedding. Nice location snuggled away within the mountains. Had a couple Cafe's and a pub on the site. There was also play parks for children, tennis courts, a basketball court, and plenty of bike and hiking trails to enjoy. They also provide equipment that you can rent such as bicycles. There's no tent pitching or RV's allowed on site, but you can go have picnics, as there are tables all about. Not sure about campfires. The area is populated with bears, so be alert!
What a great and accommodating staff. Was there for my wife s 40th and the staff were so helpful in getting things set up as a surprise! They also have amazing rooms, restaurants and lounges. If you are staying there make sure to check out Woody s a great pub/lounge that is always a fun lively time!
It's a beautiful hotel with a great location and view.
Our room was dirty we even found some half eaten chocolate when I informed the front desk after I made the trek to the lodge in my slippers and no coat to the lobby to get new key cards for our room as ours stopped working suddenly and we were locked out of our room, they didn t seem to even really care.
The upgrades are fantastic but the food was over priced and variety was limited.
Our room also had a long busted heater vent cover which I tripped and fell on in the middle of the night when I called down to the front desk they didn t seem to care that I fell on it,but they did send someone to fix it right away.
WiFi so far has been super weak but there amenities are lovely. Definitely can't wait to explore this place more!
The staff are incredibly sincere and definitely have service at the top of their mind. Would stay here again
We stayed here one cold February day, as we were having our wedding photos taken in the area. The staff at Kananaskis Mtn Lodge were so lovely, kind and helpful. We won't hesitate to come back for a return visit. Highly recommend.
As I lay in a bed with scratchy sheets that feel slightly like sleeping in a track suit, I feel obligated to let others know that this hotel is not worth the money. The service we had this weekend was sup-par and the staff was very unhelpful. For what you get, your better off staying in Canmore and making the drive for the Nordic spa (which is fabulous).
My husband and I just eloped at the Pomeroy over the weekend. Could not have picked a better venue to have such an intimate elopement. The management and staff team made us feel so special from the moment we arrived. We were upgraded to a beautiful king suite with all the amazing amenities and a great entertaining area for our small group of friends. Not only that, we were congratulated everywhere we go, with free champagne and strawberry chocolates, with cute little notes.
We appreciate how amazing this wonderful group of people made us feel on our special day/weekend. We will definitely recommend it to everyone we know and will do a yearly trip here.
I have high hopes for this hotel given their recent renovations which are indeed beautiful. However the infrastructure has likely not been improved and is downright dangerous, and service leaves much to be desired. We were in the pool when a light cover came crashing down about 20ft about 2ft away from a group of young children. The plastic had shattered. Immediately the hotel was alerted and someone came to put some tarp on the area, but didn't bother to pick up large shards or close the pool. Another person in our party cut their foot on a shard. And more shards were seen in the pool. When we collected some larger pieces to bring to the pool people they simply put it under their desk without saying a word. Meanwhile a number of light covers looked to be dangling and about to fall as well. My husband went to follow up on this at the front desk but no one seemed bothered that a child could have been seriously hurt and still stands to be from all the loose covers.
Service is also terrible. Our room was very hot at the thermostat didn't work. When we called they told us to just open the window (0 degrees outside) or use a fan. Others in our party had rooms which didn't have heat and the front desk said that many rooms didn't have hearing installed yet and they would bring them a space heater which never came. This is unacceptable when charging over $300 a night!
So while I was very excited for this hotel and the spa, being so close to Calgary, I will not be returning and I suggest they spend some time fixing up the dated infrastructure instead of simply the cosmetics.
The staff were amazing, the food was delicious, the rooms were comfy, and the amenities were really enjoyed by our whole family!
Gorgeous location and views. Excellent hiking and lake access.
Hotel was under construction but the food was good, staff were friendly/helpful and the accommodations were nice.
I went to the spa and it was great, everything was brand new and very organized
Great hotel retreat in the middle of the mountains. Need to go any where to find restaurants or stores. It is what is a place get away from the huge cities and relax in tranquility with nature. If you want to hike in the mountains you can, if you want to be one with nature you can, if you want take gourgeous picutrs of nature, you can do that too.
Outdoor hot tub under renovation but still open, could have been cleaner. Rooms were nice.
We just went for a hike and walk through the village. It was nice, but not much to do
Breathtaking location and wonderful service. Unfortunately there were lots of hiccups during our stay causing hassles which made me not want to go back.
Visited the place on the way to the airport from Banff, nice place to sit and relax. We didn t explore the other options offered but wanted to use some of the time to explore. Nice small trail, free parking, and bathrooms available.
What A BEAUTIFUL place. Such a great place to relax... Enjoy it outdoors activities or spend time chilling with friends or family
Azaming hotel and stylish room! Stay was at hotel for a night in a queen loft. Room was very clean and spacious also has fully functioning AC. Ladies loved the water slide. Highly recommended!
Great hotel in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, very close to Banff National Park. Upon arrival at the hotel, the front desk and concierge are very professional and friendly. The room is large and clean. There are executives who speak Chinese at the front desk. Very recommended Marriott hotel!
The spa was very relaxing although the hot pool was not very hot and the cold pool was not very cold
Everything was great. Spacially spa and foods. Fresh fresh fresh
The hotel has gone through a beautiful transformation from April 2018, we stayed at a bi level king loft and it was amazing. Service was great. We also experienced the nordic spa was was a relaxing time.
Beautiful location in the mountains. Sunrise over Mount Kidd was gorgeous! Slightly sad that the hot tub was closed for renovations.
I only gave a 1-star as I am comparing this hotel to other luxury retreats (Lake Louise, Fairmont hotels, Wickaniish, etc) - if I was grading it as a regular downtown Marriott I would have given it 3 stars. The service here is VERY choppy - this may be a result of high staff turnover. Some of the staff were great (Melissa in the Forte restaurant and Carlos in the Cedar), but most really didn't care. There was a lot of, "that is not my area" - which you usually don't find in a luxury resort. The surroundings are very pretty. You are stuck at eating at one of their establishments - food is mediocre and the cocktail list is short an unexciting. If you do go, make sure you get a reservation for all meals - they do not have enough space when the hotel is busy to serve everyone. We asked about reservations one night at the bar and were told it was walk in. We returned the next night (to 'walk in') and were informed that they were not accepting walk ins until 8:30. The Nordic spa is an interesting experience. Book a massage if you go so you will not have to wait in line (waits can be up to 6 hours). they give you a robe to wear between pools, but you will probably just hang it and dash in your swimsuit eventually. Parking underground is $12.50 a night - not bad for heated parking. Make sure you check in first before attempting to get in the garage as you need an electronic key (it would have been nice if the staff greeting us knew that). There are some fun boardgames in the lobby, but of course the staff are not organized enough to have dice and cards available ("this isn't my area") - so bring your own. All in all, did not live up to expectations.
