I rented my apartment via Del Condominium Rentals....

I rented my apartment via Del Condominium Rentals. I wish I would never do that. This company is corrupt, cheap and no power at all and running by unprofessional people. The former tenant sitting in my apartment and ruined it and they told me they could not do any thing cause judge is on tenant's side. For a year I paid for former tenant's utility and cost to avoid putting a lien on my apartment. After two years back and forth I received my brand new apartment ruined with lots of damages. Cost of damage and unpaid rents are more than $12,000. They are so irresponsible and put the cost of damages on landlord's pocket because they do not have budget for their mess, they said. I fired them badly and they said they would own the security deposit of the new tenant. Still I have lots of issues with them to take my money back from them. I believe even one star is too much for them. Please stay away from them.

I had a fantastic experience working with Laurie. She went above and beyond to find the right apartment for me. Laurie makes you feel like she is on your team. I was pleasantly surprised when she negotiated the rent with the landlord so the apartment fell within my specified range.

If you are on a condo/apartment hunt, I'd definitely recommend Laurie. She is very responsive and friendly.

Del-rentals is managing 2 condos for me, customer service was quick to respond to requirements (e.g. need a copy of the lease for CRA, adjustment to insurance coverage etc.).
I am pleased with the services, the portal, and the ways I can get hold of a representative.

ALERT!! ALERT!!

ALERT!! ALERT!!
Here're my suggestions when dealing with them, and also my complaint about Elizabeth Murano ( Del condo Leasing Representative).

1. when you are checking Del Condo online list, be sure to note down the leasing ID #, PRICES, and area. At the showing, they will sometimes confuse you with ID number, room number and you'll be like, why the price is different. (They sometimes change the listing price without noticing so BE SURE TO NOTE DOWN THE PRICE AND ALL OTHER INFO. In my case they told me a different price at showing and at offer closing, they confused me with this and that ID#)

2. DO NOT WASTE TIME VISITING IF YOU HAVE NO ENOUGH INCOME, for example intl. student (they will not accept your offer even tho you have millions in your account, it's just their way of doing things, not a big thing for me, but just a kind reminder)

3. BE SURE TO COMMUNICATE VIA EMAILS WHEN NECESSARY, KEEP YOUR RECORD!!!!!!! In my case, I followed their application procedure, and approved up to a certain amount of rental. I called their rep ELIZABETH MURANO, and told her I want RoomA, she said it's just leased, then I said Room B, she said same layout but more expensive (I didnt even see this one, it's very confusing that's why you guys need to note down all details). She said she'd negotiate with landlord on price but regardless IT'S MY ROOM NOW. I followed up several times she just ignored me until I called their head office then she reached out to me saying the landlord disagreed on a lower price ( if they disagree she should've told me asap, feels like she was lying or didn't even check) . I said it's okay I will just go and sign off the contract, but when I see her again she told me the Room B ( the one I put the offer on) was also gone because she made a mistake and gave it to others. Later on she was like " you don't need to rent with us,...you can go checkout elsewhere,...it's first come first serve,... someone got it before you,... I can't do anything,...you can complain,...blarblarblar. She verbally told me that RoomB is mine when I called her, but later on because of HER FAULT, I wasted so much time and energy. That's the most ridiculous experience I've ever had dealing with real estate professionals, YOU CAN RESIGN. (Wish I had a screenshot for you guys).

We had a flood in one the the suite and they were very efficient and look after all the issues to perfection without much cost to me. 5 star for professional property management company.

Very poorly organized and managed company from a renter's perspective. From the initial outreach to possession date, I have felt nothing but disappointment. I recently moved into a new brand unit in a building managed by Del Condominium Rentals. The unit was not my first choice, as I missed out on my first choice due to an administrative omission. No one from Del Rentals bothered to contact me regarding the omission and it was only after I called to check on the status of the unit was I informed that the unit had been already rented, as my application was incomplete. During the signing of the lease of the next unit, I specifically inquired about the lack of blinds and was assured that they would be installed prior to my possession date. When I took possession, the blinds were not installed. I inquired with the onsite administrator at the time as to why the blinds were not installed and was told that it was being looked after. 2 days later, I received a call from a member of Del Condo Rental's service team ensuring me that the blinds would be installed next week. A week later, I receive an email saying the blinds would be installed on Aug 31, a full two and a half weeks after my possession date. I expressed my disappointment over this issue and was basically told that there was nothing they could do and that I could "install temporary blinds" (which I would have to pay for). With large floor to ceiling windows, blinds are essential from both an energy conservation and privacy perspective. Overall, the experience has left me feeling completely misled and unheard as a tenant. I would not recommend that anyone rent through this company.

I rented one of the condos managed by Del Condominium Rentals and I have to say say I noticed very very professional and customer friendly attitude among all employees. They have all processes predefined in a precise manner and the employees are always willing to help. I suggest that people try them and experience real landlord who is always able to help. I guess there is many people in the world who can't clean after themselves but looking others to do it for them such as some people that left review here. I would always recommend Del Rentals to all of my friends.

I'm a renter at the Mansions of Humberwood. Our dishwasher stopped working over a month ago and we have informed Maintenance right away. All the appliances in our unit are old and are in barely working condition due to neglect. Typically they are good at fixing minor issues. However, this situation has them dragging their feet. I was told that an appliance repair company would contact me but haven't heard anything from them. I'm guessing the condo owner doesn't want to put any money towards the upkeep of their investment property or perhaps their chosen repair shop is incompetent. There was no hesitation in increasing rent even when rates are falling everywhere. I expect quicker service if they want to retain me as a tenant.

I would strongly suggest going though a different company all together and staying away from any buildings that they manage. Our building may look nice but there are nothing but problems and the staff have been less than helpful.

After renting several units in the city through various landlords these past few years, what a breath of fresh it is to work with Del Rentals! If I had known this was an option when I moved here, I would have refused to rent from anyone else. We were the first to submit an application on our unit, and were immediately put at ease by our leasing agent, Laurie Cellupica, that this would be a first come first serve situation. As long as we fit the profile, the unit would be ours - no need to worry about another applicant offering the landlord $25 over asking and a bidding situation being encouraged, and they held true to their promise!

Moving in was seamless and Laurie was as helpful and flexible as could be. She rearranged her day to meet me for my intro tour of the building/unit and was always easily available by cell throughout the process. She explained where to go for any issues I run into, and made me feel like management will take care of any problems with the unit I encounter - which I can't say about previous landlords I've rented from, who were no help in plumbing situations and disregarded simple requests like having lights replaced, shower heads fixed or carpets cleaned before I moved in.

I felt like both Laurie and the building staff I met (Ben and Terrance) were genuinely excited for me - I have never been congratulated so much for securing an apartment, and have never felt more at home in a condo building in this city! FIVE big stars for this company and the impeccable service they provide, would highly recommend. So happy to now be a part of this community!

First and foremost, I think the current leasing manager Laurie Cellupica should be recognized for her professionalism, promptness in response, and dedication to getting my unit leased out especially during Covid 19. She is by far the single most dedicated and professional person I have dealt with at DEL Rental. I also appreciate how the company has been flexible to adjust the rental process so that my unit can be rented out in a timely manner. It s a difficult time to navigate the changes arising from Covid and so far as an owner I am happy with the service.

I must have called them numerous times and left so many messages but no reply. Please I request you to call me and tell me what is going on.

A warning for tenants: this company knows nothing about the honor. I wasted 3 days with them. I shared all possible information (including EQUIFAX credit report which they refused to take), but in the end they begged from me my SIN number because they "were unable to pull credit from the documents provided", so they refused to provide any service for me (which is against the PIPEDA). When I told them this, they suggested to find a guarantor (which is against the Human Rights). Today I requested new EQUIFAX report on my name and I see that they got the report on my name that day when they "wasn't able to obtain it". It's also cut 30 points from my credit score.

No one recommended her to me. She is very authentic and my conversations with her over the phone regarding finding a rental condo in downtown Toronto made me trust her because of her realistic approach and accurate and thorough evaluation of rentals we looked at. I had spoken to multiple realtors before finding her and she is by far the best of the best. She really stands out from other agents. Very efficient, highly communicative, solution-oriented professional. My transaction with her really could not have been any better.

When we had some maintenance issues we rarely hear back from our rep - Genesis. We had to constantly follow up with her. Our original repair requests were to fix the bathroom fan, the humidifier and the dishwasher. Seven weeks later, Del Rentals still fail to dispatch technicians to check out the unit. Really disappointed in its lack of service and follow-up.

Absolute terrible experience with Del Rentals. The worst miscommunication I have ever experienced with a company. I dealt with a handful of people throughout my process which was confusing and again lead to a lot of miscommunication. I had to follow-up on every task they told me they would preform, because they never executed according to timelines. They charged me for an insurance policy which I already had on my own and didn't inform me until I received the invoice and questioned the charge. It took them 3 weeks to get back to me with an agreement for me to sign, and over 3 months to rent my condo in a busy and desirable area. They were reluctant to post my listing on MLS after I had asked them to several times. The photos they posted to my listing I was told were taken by a "professional photographer"- which ended up being a lie. The overall listing was misleading and contained wrong information, not showcasing my property to the best of their ability. I am not one to write reviews- especially negative ones, but this process has left me drained and with a complete lack of trust or confidence in this company.

Investors beware.
They are only interested in overcharging investors on fees and fake maintenance. They keep the first months rent to get the tenant fine but they also keep the 2nd month for b.s. expenses like 200 for cleanup and 400 for paint touch up. C'mon investors are not stupid we do this for a living. I inspected the unit before tenant moved out and it was immaculate. It's only 600sq feet condo. Touch ups are not 400.They also keep tenants for a year lease so they can keep charging you 1 month commission every year. How are investors supposed to afford that. We dont invest to make del money

Del condominium rentals was frustrating to deal with in the beginning regarding their approval process. Finally after supplying extensive paperwork the approval went through. The condo apartment was handed over freshly freshly painted and clean. I was amazed that they could actually do this overnight. We had a few problems with appliances but they were dealt with efficiently and quickly by their service staff. It would have been nice to have instruction guides for each of the appliances. Their sales staff are excellent in showing us the apartment. Overall it was a very positive experience with the exception of the back-end office.

Laurie was amazing when she came and showed me around the flat and told me every little detail about it. She even took 15 mins out to find my parking spot which I felt she didnt need to do.

Osa was very helpful with maintainence issues. very very prompt.

Management I say is bad because they gave me the property keys on the 3rd whilst my rent started on the 1st. Secondly, nobody inspected my unit before my move in and when i moved in everything was broken. they probably didnt take out time to do this because that would mean starting my let late i.e less money for the owner.

I would not hesitate to rent through Del and I recommend them to friends and family.

Honestly, I replace my own light bulbs and only reach out when I actually need something and they have been awesome the few times I have needed them. I might need to send a reminder e-mail but people are busy and sometimes just need a reminder.

Absolutely worthless company. The odd time they're capable of helping you with something you need they take weeks to do it.

Consider this a fair warning to future customers. You may think ( as I did) that dealing with a company is a better idea than dealing with someone personally since you won't have someone "bothering" you, but believe me this particular company is the biggest joke I've ever dealt with. I've had some pretty poor landlords who were nothing but disrespectful and over assertive, but I would take that any day over a company that harasses you for absolutely nothing and also on top of That, when it's their turn to reciprocate and you require something that is their responsibility to either replace or give you, they send you on a week long goose chase. In order to acquire a new A.C. unit for my rental home I had to call the office every 20 minutes for an entire day until they gave me an answer as to when it would be done.

Don't use this company even as a last resort.

I was refused without explanation my family income was higher than necessary, and credit score was mooooore than enough and they refused me and told that even guarantor cannot help in my situation. They never transfer you to higher management and never explain rejection reason. BE AWARE THEY MAY JUST COLLECTING YOUR INFORMATION. THEY ARE NOT TRANSPARENT. CHEATERS!!!!!!!

Hello all,

Its my painful experience to escalate now issue to upper management and director level as last hope of customer care and service.

Its over 100 days and still I haven't hear back for "safety-security issue" raised with Osa Ralladi . Even I left several phone messages and e-mail follow-ups but in vain.

I expect to look into security matter seriously to avoid consumer complaint or dispute.

There should be an option for 0 star. Unprofessional agent [Jessica Tsang] and it's a chaos in their place. We had an appointment and it was apparently an open house which had multiple people already submitted there application and for us to found out days later that we are on the waiting list, why didn't you clarify that we are not the first to submit an application?

Not to mention the credit check they did which I assume it effects our score. So unprofessional people and I wouldn't recommend any one to go thru them.

The agent said she will call me the next day and NEVER did, I'm the one who always have to call her and then I don't get a response or an answer because of course it goes thru the voice mail.

I'm so done from this unprofessional organization that hires people with no experience in my opinion.

Please and please stay away from them.

They don't show you the actual unit, it's similar and then they don't take you on a tour to see the building 'we were told it was locked? don't you have keys to let us in and then was told that we can see the pictures online'

I'm surprised why owners would have them hired while they can just put an MLS ad and get a hundreds of hits and views in a day or two.

I had rented a condo from Del Rentals for 15 months. Most of the staff and agents I dealt with were great . . until it was time to move out. The person responsible for carrying out the move out "inspection" (Kyle) was rude, incompetent and unprofessional. Instead of carrying out the inspection, Kyle felt the need to ask personal questions and make sarcastic comments. I guess Del Rental employees are not expected to be courteous and professional to tenants once they decide to move out.

Great company, forgot some paperwork first time and yes I lost the first place! Got it in right as she asked for originally and I got the second place, that was on me not the company. Place was freshly painted and cleaned don't know how they did that but thank you above and beyond! . Laurie walked me Through the place first Thing in the Morning! I got my Keys and moved in. I had one issue as the people just moved the night before, but they had the plumber out when I was home next, not like my Last Landlord which was a private renting, this is my 5th time renting In Toronto, and I won't Go back to direct to owner! just try and rent private they don't do half of what This company Did for me and my Family I'd give it 10 starts but limit is 5! Great team! It's a shame to see others complain about this great service, some folks you can never Make happy I've learned in life, as for my family we say thank you above and beyond!

My experience as a landlord with Del Condominium Rentals has been very negative at the beginning of the year. I needed a tenant for my condo. After they took pictures of my condo, it took quite a few days for them to post the pictures online. They also misled me about where the condo listing will be posted, they said it will be advertised everywhere, but they did it only on their website, so the exposure was quite limited. For months they were not able to find me a tenant, and when i terminated the contract with them because of the lockdown, they didn't return the original keys of my condo. Unbelievable. I don't recommend the agency to any landlord.

I enjoyed the unit I was living in but the admin office is a nightmare. Upon notifying Del condos that I intended on conducting a lease transfer, they were unresponsive. After multiple emails and phone calls I finally got through to management. My applicants application was reviewed for 4 weeks by Del Condos then they declined the application 3 days before I was to move out and the new tenant was to move in. Del condos cost me just under $1,000 and the tenant that was to move in had no place to live given Del Condos waited until 3 days before move in to decline the application.

I would be very, very carful dealing with this company and avoid them at all cost. They can really cost you a lot of money on the backend of your tenancy.

Jan 2020: The agent who did all the leasing arrangements was nice, but ineffective or works for an ineffective company. They asked for a lot for tenants to get approved, and rightfully so, but please keep yourselves to the same standards and be responsive when the client asks for services you're tasked to offer.
The agent came to the apartment and noted several things that needed attention, and mentioned she would file the report. A week later, and after nothing happening, I emailed the address on file responsible for it. I got asked for everything again, as if they knew nothing of the issues, I sent the information. It's been 2 weeks, I emailed again and nobody has replied. From what I can tell, they are responsive only when customers post their concerns in public.

We had some initial issues when we first moved in and these were resolved pretty quickly, but that it because I am very vocal, and expect a certain standard when paying a lot of money for rent. The office team are not perfect, and I find I have to sometimes follow up. I tend to deal with direct with Director of Operations, Kevin McFadden, who is great and gets things done quickly and efficiently. Personally I think the office staff could be more attentive, hence the 4 stars, or else it would be a 5 star rating.

What started out as a very disappointing experience when a condo owner at Ten York decided to increase their rental price by $1500/month over and above what they advertised for was quickly turned around by your leasing rep Laurie Cellupica. We were appalled the homeowner would increase the price by so much in the final hour after we had already filled out all of the paperwork and were approved. But Laurie came to the rescue and quickly sought out a solution. She approached another owner with the same size condo and same view and was able to negotiate a price that worked well for both parties. Her fast response and follow through along with the utmost in professionalism put us at ease and quickly closed the deal. When I arrived for a viewing of the new condo I was met with a big smile and hug by Laurie which is a testament to her genuine kind and caring nature. Thank you so much Laurie for going above and beyond the call of duty and to the original petty, greedy homeowner...I hope the labels fall off all of your canned goods at home!

Have been waiting on an answer to a maintenance request for 2 months. Followed up 7 times over email, voicemails, ignored every time. Over the phone they ask you to email. I can understand delays in service but not in communication.

Extremely disappointed with Del Rentals. Have been renting a condo for 3 years with them, paying rent always on time, taking great care of the property. Contacted Del Rentals two months and a half ago for an issue with a microwave and rangehood not working. Genesis sent me a technician to check. Apparently microwave is too old to be fixed, so I was promised it will be replaced. Two months and a half later going back and forward, sending emails, calling Genesis and Osa, nothing is done. Extremely unprofessional property management.

Too bad I can't give 0 Stars for my experience with this company.

I approach them for 2 suites I am interested and we booked viewing. On the viewing date they message me saying they can't get response from current tenants for suites A, and they cut the wrong keys for suites B. I was understanding and told them I am very interested in both please let me know asap. 2 weeks after they still telling me the tenants went out of town for 3 weeks and can't get in touch with them. I am finally fed up and got my own lease agent. But I asked my agent to also contact them for this 2 suites. They told my agent that suite A was rented a month ago.

I am so shocked this kind of nonsense could happen. How could any rental company not be aware of whether their unit is rented or not. Feel like they don't even know what they are doing and they have no idea what the tenants are doing neither. I will not trust this business ever again because it has wasted 3 weeks of my time.

So very professional - we've been renting various apartments for years and I've never had such a fantastic experience. Great communication throughout the rental experience. The unit was painted and profesionally cleaned before we moved in. When we moved in there were a few tiny repairs that needed to be done and they were all completed within the first week!

Update: Interesting to note that, prior to my review, there we practically no existing reviews, and now all these "5 star" reviews have popped up. Prospective tenants looking to rent Del Rentals: beware!

Terrible service for tenants. Very slow staff, no repairs ever get done. I have not had a working garage remote for 7 months now. They can't take care of such a basic problem. Moreover, there was water damage in my unit (that was out of my control) and no repairs have been done since last July. Calls and emails remain unanswered for weeks and months at a time.
Would not recommend dealing with them to anyone!
