Bartender's were amazing! Hooked me up with some black currant for my Guinness. Deviled eggs were out of this world! Hubby had the fish & chips, I had the corned beef...all of it was great!

I don't even know where to start. Well, here goes.....this review is only for the downstairs bar area as the upstairs dining room/bar wasn't open yet. Hands down some of the best cocktails I've ever had. The Nut Job is my new favorite whiskey cocktail. Dangerously smooth, slightly sweet, and all delicious. The Halley's Comet is a Tiki delight, and for the gin drinkers there's the Sour Grapes and the Spark Plug. Tried to go back the next night and couldn't squeeze into the bar. People weren't there to be seen, they were there to enjoy great drinks and even better camaraderie. Bread pudding was a big hit too.

5 stars for the cocktail bar upstairs, excellent service and a good selection of interesting drinks. Though it's a little odd having a picture of Terry wogan looking down on you when drinking.

The tap Room downstairs is a little less interesting, it still has good service but if not for the history of the place it could be any other bar in Manhatten.

Definitely a place worthy of checking out! The atmosphere is really cool and the food is great! It s on the pricey side but it s also NYC so what can you really expect. What makes it so unique is the storyline behind the restaurant and the menus.
There s usually a long wait but if you have the time, definitely go in and stay for a meal!

Cocktails are great, however the service is not. We were there fairly early on a Saturday afternoon and our bartender said he would put our names down for a table so we could order food. We were told it would be 30 minutes or so. An hour later, the original bartender had been replaced, and the new one said there was no list and we should have been given a buzzer. Another hour and still no table or food so we finally gave up and went elsewhere. Very disappointed.

Visited your establishment for the first time on 4/7/17 for a very special occasion. To celebrate the nuptials of my very good friends, Ryan and Angelica! Let me say that you folks did a fantastic job. The drinks were incredible and the servers were probably the friendliest in all of NYC! The menu was finger foods: Super beef sliders, Lamb Sliders, scotch quail eggs, curry chicken salad finger sandwiches, tomato and mozzarella skewers and much, much more. Everyone got a near endless supply of French fries with truffle oil at every table and it seemed that the food never ran out. The drinks were amazing. I started with Gallup Mags ( DR version of G&T) but after many whiskey toasts, decided to switch to the Battle Annie ( Powers Whiskey, Connemara Peated Whiskey and Blenheim Ginger Ale). They were amazing!! What a great time, and I'm so glad my friends could celebrate their special day in such a fine establishment!!! If you are in NYC, you owe yourself a visit to the Dead Rabbit, but be forewarned, it's going to be crowded, what else would you expect from the "Best Bar in America 2016"!

Pop in the ground floor for a quick beer or the third floor for a bite, but that's not where this place is famous for. Ask to be seated in the cocktail lounge on the second floor. There's almost always a waiting list, but you'll get a buzzer.

The cocktail lounge serves a wide variety of truly unique and wonderful cocktails, and the menu is a beautiful comic book. The drinks follow the story and change once every few months.

Beautiful decor, comfortable seating, friendly staff, expensive as hell.

Highly recommended!

FYI: get there early, as there will be a wait.

The Dead Rabbit is exactly what it is: a great Irish whiskey bar, with excellent, thoughtful cocktails and food. The hospitality is sincere, straightforward, and doesn't disappoint. There's a reason why it is so awarded. Enjoy it!

I randomly found this place on Google maps. I'm so glad I did because this place is awesome! All of the drinks were 16 and strong. Their menu is in comic book style. Their food was absolutely delicious. I recommend getting the quail egg pork belly sliders and the lamb shepherds pie. It was so good we came back twice. We got the black Rose (off the old menu) , and get about it. If we're ever in NY again we're definitely stopping by here.

Great service. Drinks are fantastic, if you like sweet drinks get the sucker punch, laughing hyena, and show-off. Beer is great too, highly recommend the blackthorn cider. Truffle fries are a great snack while drinking.

There is a reason this bar is consistently ranked #1 bar in the world. The cocktails never disappoint and neither does the staff. You can go casual low key Irish pub with a twist down stairs or take your experience to the next level (pun intended) at their upstairs parlor.

We loved the ambience, food and drinks of the dead rabbit. We arrived at 1 pm on a Saturday and had no wait time, so you absolutely don't need reservation. Great place to feel the vibe. Loved the shepherd pie, the chicken pot pie and the classic french toast. The Irish coffee with whisky is a must have. The Pimm's cocktail was also very refreshing. We plan to come here often with friends.

The first time I came to the Grog I met the bartender Annie. Our brunch experience was so stupendous that we came back for a late night drink. So when I'm in the area, I love coming back.

This last trip was very different. We came after a teaching conference... I brought 2 coworkers. Installed up the Dead Rabbit so much that they didn't mind several blocks we had to walk over. We couldn't find a place to sit nor stand on any of the 3 floors for a party of 3. One of my coworkers decided to leave, so we were a party of 2. After the debacle of being seated was over, our waitress waited for more than 15 min to take our order, even after taking and delivering the orders of parties who were seated after us. Although the drinks were great (as always) we were not treated like guests, or even special...like Annie made sure we did.

I'll definitely call ahead of I decide to chance it again.
