Fantastic bar with artesian cocktails. I'd pay for the ambiance let alone the fine barstaff and great cocktails. That being said you will pay a mint, but a worth while splurge!

In the heart of the financial district a few meters from stone street, walk around taking a minute to appreciate the surroundings. A beautiful place with a lot of history
Drinks were good but at 17 dollars they would want to be service was also excellent
Bartender's were amazing! Hooked me up with some black currant for my Guinness. Deviled eggs were out of this world! Hubby had the fish & chips, I had the corned beef...all of it was great!
Excellent drinks! It was about $15 for a cocktail but it was easily the best cocktail I've ever had.
amazing venue and decent location for futzing around!
Very popular place for tourists, and for city Folk alike!
A proper Pub. The real deal. Great feel and vibe. An assorted menu of food delights.
Cool atmosphere and plenty of different whiskeys to try.
Great service, phenomenal drinks, fantastic musicians, engaging crowd.
Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, well crafted cocktails and good food
I don't even know where to start. Well, here goes.....this review is only for the downstairs bar area as the upstairs dining room/bar wasn't open yet. Hands down some of the best cocktails I've ever had. The Nut Job is my new favorite whiskey cocktail. Dangerously smooth, slightly sweet, and all delicious. The Halley's Comet is a Tiki delight, and for the gin drinkers there's the Sour Grapes and the Spark Plug. Tried to go back the next night and couldn't squeeze into the bar. People weren't there to be seen, they were there to enjoy great drinks and even better camaraderie. Bread pudding was a big hit too.
I loved this bar. Had drinks and dinner. Super authentic. I would recommend to anyone.
Cool and chilled place to have a drink and a nice atmosphere. Worth giving it a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.
5 stars for the cocktail bar upstairs, excellent service and a good selection of interesting drinks. Though it's a little odd having a picture of Terry wogan looking down on you when drinking.
The tap Room downstairs is a little less interesting, it still has good service but if not for the history of the place it could be any other bar in Manhatten.
Nothing but pleasant experiences here. Similar to a cafe in Las Vegas I loved.
This is one of my favorite bars ever. They have certainly earned their distinction as world s best bar
Mixed drinks where a little too sweet for me, but overall a good bar
I always drop in here when I am in NYC brillant place to visit
I saw nothing but rave reviews about this place. It was decent but nothing I haven't seen done better in other cities.
Definitely a place worthy of checking out! The atmosphere is really cool and the food is great! It s on the pricey side but it s also NYC so what can you really expect. What makes it so unique is the storyline behind the restaurant and the menus.
There s usually a long wait but if you have the time, definitely go in and stay for a meal!
Drinks, food, ambience and staff are fantastic. This needs to be on your must visit list.
Cocktails are great, however the service is not. We were there fairly early on a Saturday afternoon and our bartender said he would put our names down for a table so we could order food. We were told it would be 30 minutes or so. An hour later, the original bartender had been replaced, and the new one said there was no list and we should have been given a buzzer. Another hour and still no table or food so we finally gave up and went elsewhere. Very disappointed.
Incredibly delicious food and drinks! Highly recommend
Super fun. Gets very very busy during peak times so get there early. But food, drinks and atmosphere are well worth it.
Excellent cocktail bar. Perfect service and interesting variety of cocktail mixology.
One of the city's most celebrated cocktail bars for good reason. The atmosphere, drinks, and interior design will ring you back to this downtown favorite.
This Irish coffee is absolute perfection. The best we ve ever had. Just watching the bartender make this was a show. It s an art! Just go, you won t be disappointed! Cheers!
This place lives up to the hype of being the best cocktail bar. Incredibly knowledgeable staff and amazing drink selections. Highly recommend!
Visited your establishment for the first time on 4/7/17 for a very special occasion. To celebrate the nuptials of my very good friends, Ryan and Angelica! Let me say that you folks did a fantastic job. The drinks were incredible and the servers were probably the friendliest in all of NYC! The menu was finger foods: Super beef sliders, Lamb Sliders, scotch quail eggs, curry chicken salad finger sandwiches, tomato and mozzarella skewers and much, much more. Everyone got a near endless supply of French fries with truffle oil at every table and it seemed that the food never ran out. The drinks were amazing. I started with Gallup Mags ( DR version of G&T) but after many whiskey toasts, decided to switch to the Battle Annie ( Powers Whiskey, Connemara Peated Whiskey and Blenheim Ginger Ale). They were amazing!! What a great time, and I'm so glad my friends could celebrate their special day in such a fine establishment!!! If you are in NYC, you owe yourself a visit to the Dead Rabbit, but be forewarned, it's going to be crowded, what else would you expect from the "Best Bar in America 2016"!
Good meeting point for a quick drink. A bit too noisy for a chat.
The food is just Osam, the cocktails were impeccable and service was swift. this is how fabulous thins run.
Favorite place to grab a cider and eat yummy food! The service is impeccable.
Pop in the ground floor for a quick beer or the third floor for a bite, but that's not where this place is famous for. Ask to be seated in the cocktail lounge on the second floor. There's almost always a waiting list, but you'll get a buzzer.
The cocktail lounge serves a wide variety of truly unique and wonderful cocktails, and the menu is a beautiful comic book. The drinks follow the story and change once every few months.
Beautiful decor, comfortable seating, friendly staff, expensive as hell.
Highly recommended!
Incredible bar. You simply must check this place out good for solo, date, or even a small group (though I don t recommend more than 4 people).
FYI: get there early, as there will be a wait.
The Dead Rabbit is exactly what it is: a great Irish whiskey bar, with excellent, thoughtful cocktails and food. The hospitality is sincere, straightforward, and doesn't disappoint. There's a reason why it is so awarded. Enjoy it!
Crowded, but that's understandable given how good the drinks are!
Service a little bit slow and nobody come check on you, cocktails are good, but food overpriced and portions are small
Visited on a Thursday. Bring your hunger - portions are filling. I see why this place has so many good reviews.
We stopped for 10 minutes for a drink.
Nice atmosphere with sand on the floor.
Try the Dead Rabbit English Mild (brewed by Six Point) on cask.
Nice place with friendly staff. Great food, worth a visit to skip a couple of glasses.
Cocktails are out of this world. 3 floors of heaven.
I randomly found this place on Google maps. I'm so glad I did because this place is awesome! All of the drinks were 16 and strong. Their menu is in comic book style. Their food was absolutely delicious. I recommend getting the quail egg pork belly sliders and the lamb shepherds pie. It was so good we came back twice. We got the black Rose (off the old menu) , and get about it. If we're ever in NY again we're definitely stopping by here.
With plenty of personality and a great selection of food and beer as well as traditional Irish hospitality this place is tops on Wall Street.
I went to this place by recommendation of a magazine and I must say the reviews make it justice. Excellent quality and service.
Very nice Place! Beers, cocktails and food are special.. but the price is expensive!
LOVED IT. Amazing service and the food and drinks were incredible.
5 stars for classics execution / whiskey selection. 5 stars for signatures names. 2 stars for signatures execution. Pity.
Great service. Drinks are fantastic, if you like sweet drinks get the sucker punch, laughing hyena, and show-off. Beer is great too, highly recommend the blackthorn cider. Truffle fries are a great snack while drinking.
Drinks are no joke here, the menu is extremely extensive. Be prepared to wait no matter when you come, but it s worth it considering this is one of the best bars in NY.
Great place, comfortable, extremely knowledgeable wait staff! A real treat! Attention to details is unmatched!
Excellent cocktails! Excellent ambience. Cocktails are a bit on the expensive side, though not too expensive.
With a great Irish atmosphere, food and drinks are amazing! Go for the fish and chips, they're very rich!
Great experience, Samantha took us through an excellent array of complex and wonderful cocktails.
Great atmosphere and packed for breakfast upstairs.
When you experience the taste of Irish Coffee, you'll dare prefer it to water .
I think this is a good institution, I have not been there, but I think that I would have come
i give this place double thumbs up. this place has a cool atmosphere. menu is similar to a restaurant in el paso i liked.
Just Amazing, Great place to chill out in Downtown!
There is a reason this bar is consistently ranked #1 bar in the world. The cocktails never disappoint and neither does the staff. You can go casual low key Irish pub with a twist down stairs or take your experience to the next level (pun intended) at their upstairs parlor.
Still my FAVORITE go to place in New York for cocktails, and friendly staff.
Best Irish Bar in the world ... Real worth the experience
We loved the ambience, food and drinks of the dead rabbit. We arrived at 1 pm on a Saturday and had no wait time, so you absolutely don't need reservation. Great place to feel the vibe. Loved the shepherd pie, the chicken pot pie and the classic french toast. The Irish coffee with whisky is a must have. The Pimm's cocktail was also very refreshing. We plan to come here often with friends.
Knowledgeable mixologists deliver finely crafted cocktails with the spirit of your choice. Spend any bit of time here and leave wishing you were a cool Irishman too.
A very charming pub in the financial district, cool and fun for its weekend brunches.
The first time I came to the Grog I met the bartender Annie. Our brunch experience was so stupendous that we came back for a late night drink. So when I'm in the area, I love coming back.
This last trip was very different. We came after a teaching conference... I brought 2 coworkers. Installed up the Dead Rabbit so much that they didn't mind several blocks we had to walk over. We couldn't find a place to sit nor stand on any of the 3 floors for a party of 3. One of my coworkers decided to leave, so we were a party of 2. After the debacle of being seated was over, our waitress waited for more than 15 min to take our order, even after taking and delivering the orders of parties who were seated after us. Although the drinks were great (as always) we were not treated like guests, or even special...like Annie made sure we did.
I'll definitely call ahead of I decide to chance it again.
I loved the place . Its was very attractive and beautiful . I ordered the vine and its taste was good . Staff were very friendly . Great services were provided . very thing is well managed . I liked the sitting area its very comfortable .
I personally expect something different but we had a great experience, great service and good vibe!
Great drinks, food, service, atmosphere.
The lobster deviled eggs are great. Had the mezcal cocktail The Booby Trap and loved it.
