really great experience. The downstairs has a really old NYC bar feel while upstairs is a whole other experience: the cocktail menu is a graphic novel and the drinks are amazing. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something different to do for drinks after work / weekend in Manhattan. A little expensive but not too far off from what you would pay at a "regular" bar.

Fantastic atmosphere, and mind-bogglingly good cocktails. Had one made from scotch, milk and coconut that was completely clear (somehow). It was all delicious. Also, no TVs is a big boon. Love this place.

As a native New Yorker and someone who has gone to cocktail bars for the past six years I find the service at this bar abyssmal at best. The fact this bar is even compared to stalwarts in the city such as Employees Only or Wilfie and Nell is quite sad. I would recommend avoiding this FIDI tourist trap as quickly as possible. The drinks are good but the service is awful.

Dead Rabbit and it's parent company and other spots such as Black Tail are without a doubt some of the greatest and most fun places you can go! I love going to The Dead Rabbit and introducing my friends, new and old, to this incredible place. From the food to the selections of libations and artistic cocktails you can't go wrong! However what ties it all together is the staff, front of the house, back of the house, and also the management and support staff they are a tremendous team! Social media is second to none!
Wait in line it's worth it!

Make sure you get a spot on the second floor which is where all the world famous cocktails are served. Having won best cocktail bar a few times, the cocktails are just as good as you'd expect. Flavor combinations are amazing and you'll enjoy any cocktail that you order from their huge list.

This bar was a revelation! The atmosphere takes you back to what it must have been like 100 years ago. It is so unpretentious and confidant. The bartenders know their stuff producing perfect cocktails with a flair. The prices are very good by NYC standards. We loved it! Get a seat at the bar if you can.

Kind of place that makes you wait an hour even when they're empty. Good drinks though. Just make sure you come here with no intention of going to another bar that night. AKA tourists only.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here, popped in for lunch at the bar. The service was great, and food was to match. Had the sliders with quail eggs, really hit the spot washed down with a great selection of beers.

One of the best bars in nyc if not the best. Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable.

Let me begin with the name, The Dead Rabbits were an irish gang located in the five points in the 1850's. The bar itself has a very old world look and feel to it, especially the 2nd floor parlor. The food elevated irish pub fare, everything on the menu is delicious, my favorites include the sunday special prime rib roast, the lamb lollipops and the Cumberland sausage roll. The drink menu is extensive and again all delicious i am a whiskey and scotch lover, and the range and variety of irish whiskey is unbelievable they may have the largest selection of irish whiskies in NY. Finally last but not least they have live irish music on sundays which is music to my ears...

They didn't get rated top cocktail bar in America for no reason. Wonderful cocktails and attentive service. It's a wait to get a table so show up early. Enjoy yourself and don't expect a turn and burn bar. Expect an experience.

Open late into the night. This Irish pub nestled among New York's skyscrapers showcases New York's pre-evening by welcoming friends in post-work. Very good beer and wide choice. I tried the toast which I highly recommend. Nice waitresses, online prices and fun environment. Local with music. There are two or three floors

I had another visit to this destination cocktail and Irish pub fare location in the Financial District. This restaurant doesn't take reservations so be mindful of the timing of your visit. The three-story location is a quintessential New York City building with every square inch being maximized.

There are three levels. The first level is your classic Irish bar with sawdust on the floor to prove its real deal authenticity. There is a small shop in the back of the bar area which sells various sundries of Irish food. The second floor is called the Parlor where it is a classic sit-down restaurant vibe. The third floor is the occasional floor. The third floor is for special events. There are mainly high tables and stools.

The three levels are connected by one long straight staircase as you enter the bar. I wonder how many free shots of whiskey were provided to getting the building permit for this location. I am of course joking. This bar and place are all above board, but New York City has some amazingly tight spaces. It is not Tokyo or Hong Kong, but we make small areas work for us.

For the location and ambiance, we were sat in the Occasional room. We were located in a corner which was pretty good for our group of four. We ordered drinks, an appetizers and lunch entrees.

For the drinks, we all ordered the Irish Coffee for $12 each. Dead Rabbit is dead famous for their cocktails. I had this signature before, and it was pitch perfect as usual. We asked if they do a decaf version of this drink and we were told an unequivocally no. This cocktail for me was the high point of the meal.

For the food, there are lunch specials which I ordered the Fried Fish Sandwich which was fresh cod-type white fish. It was a significant portion. The group shared the Lobster Deviled Eggs for $15. There were lobster chunks, and it was delicious. Another person ordered the Homemade Vegetable Soup for $8 with added chicken for $2. The portion was more substantial for this bowl as well. There was another sandwich ordered, the Ham and Cheese Toastie for $16.
It has Irish Cheddar, Raclette, and Smoked Ham. All sandwiches came with Hand-Cut Fries. Finally, my wife had the Short Rib Sliders for $21
This item comes with Garlic, Aioli, and Red Onion Jam. The sliders were plump and flavorful. She shared one of the three slides which were terrific.

I look forward to coming back closer to St. Patrick's Day because I am not often in the area. It is worth a visit. For all those taller gentlemen and ladies, be careful not knock your head as you walk up and down the staircase.

When you can get a seat at one of the upstairs bars, this place is glorious. When you are stuck on the first floor, it is pretty terrible. Last time I was there, the wait for a table for 6 upstairs was *3 hours* at 6:30 PM. On top of that, service on the first floor has gone way downhill. (Picture bartenders and barbacks chatting away with each other while people crowd the bar. Not cool when you're paying $15 for a cocktail and can barely breathe.)

In short: Check out Fraunces Tavern around the corner. Historic, and you'll be happier.

To be seated on the upper floor will take 30 minutes at least during busy hours, but the wait is worth it.

Fantastic Experience! Came into Town to Visit my sister with my parents and took them to the Parlour on the 2nd Floor. The level of service was impeccable, the food was amazing and the Cocktails were unreal. Lived up to the Hype. Highly Recommend!

P.S.- For the food, I highly recommend the lamb chop pops. I could have eaten 8 of those in one sitting.

Been here several times and never disappointed. One of my favorites.

Always lovely drinks, great food and atmosphere. We sat inside and the set up was great.

Wish there were a few more options for gluten free.

It is a lovely place. The cocktails are excellent. It is a distinguish place for being nominated best bar of the world. I encourage everybody to go there, even if it is to taste the cocktail at the second flour (the parlour).

Came here for a weeknight cocktail and was impressed by how friendly and helpful the staff was, in spite of a deluge of day traders acting like complete arses all around.

Was also quite impressed by the fare. Burger was absolutely incredible and unexpected in what I thought was primarily a cocktail bar. And those cocktails were fantastic!

This place is so cool. I feel like I've stepped back in time when coming here. The drinks are always good and the food is really good. I've had the deviled eggs with bacon a few times...really good. A lot of my buddies like the deviled eggs with lobster. the chicken pot pie is so good here. Even the basic ham and cheese toastie is really good.
