These bartenders/mixologists are some of the best in NYC! The service is excellent! The second you finish your drink at the bar they are there asking if you would another; when your water glass is low they fill it immediately; we ordered food and again as soon as we were finished the plates were whisked away. This is a grown up cocktail bar with addults...very few folks under 30 and we felt very comfortable there at 55 and 57 respectively.

Drinks were well thought out and their Irish whiskey collection and probably scotch(I hate Scotch so I didn't notice) is impressive. The food, served until 1 am, is very good. We ordered the fried chicken and fries. The chicken was coated in panko, pounded flat and the fries had some truffle oil on them. Both were excellent.

Great spot, great vibes...amazing Irish coffee.. Yes, worth the hype!. The food is superb! Service is a bit slow but expected, as it's uber busy, especially on the weekends. Loved the pictures on the walls and from the ceiling! Highly recommend!

Such a great bar in the city! Went today on a Thursday in the middle of the day and it wasn't too crowded which was perfect. The service from the bartender was on point and the vibe was welcoming and intimate. I highly recommend you check out this bar when you get the chance. The chicken pot pie was out of this world as we're the Captain Kirk and old fashioneds I had!

The Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog is an unexpected gem in New York City's Financial District. The cocktail menu is organized by the four seasons, making the seemingly overwhelming choices a little bit easier to whittle down. Fun fact: Some scenes from the "Gangs of New York"

Cozy intimate space, very cool photos all over the walls. My husband and I went on a Saturday night, we only waited about 15 minutes for the upstairs cocktail bar. The server was incredibly knowledgeable and the drinks were great!

Instantly one of my most favorite bars in the City. I cannot recommend it highly enough for atmosphere and incredible cocktail selection. Upstairs may be even more impressive than downstairs, so I recommend you try for a seat up there for a different experience. A brilliant addition to the city bar scene. Additionally, I recommend the chicken pot pie if you're hungry.

Iconic location. Excellent food and drinks. Amazing bartenders. I want to give this place 5 stars, but the security/host gentleman working the door last night added roughly 40 minutes of confusion, aggravation and getting hit in the face with a door to the experience. If you're going to man the entrance of a busy place like this, please learn some manners and at least TRY to answer questions appropriately or exhibit a minimal sense of hospitality.

Absolutely the BEST scotch eggs I've ever had. Highly recommended, worth braving crowds, and spending a bit more than you would initially think. The food is honestly worth more than they charge. Go! Eat, drink, regret nothing.

The place was packed when we got there and the bartender still managed to get drinks in everyone's hand in the first five minutes of being in there. We tried to get upstairs, but a big party already filled it so we never got there. I asked the bartender to make my whiskey choice for me, and I was introduced to my new favorite whiskey. Other than how crowded the place was, it was a really solid experience with attentive bartenders.

Go to the second floor for the "best bar in the world" treatment. Really gives you the underground vibe, and deserves the title. Drink menu rotates fairly regularly, so there's always something new. Sister bar with the blacktail, and they share off-menu drink lists with each other.

This is the story of dead man tell no tale.
Beware for if you read this there is no going back. Ok so back in the 1630 there was legend of an ancient idian burial ground. And because of the massicure the pilgrims had done on the indian, A whopping 1000000 killed and others never found. The chief Cherokee Jack laid a curse on the land that if any one remained there for more then a week they would be force to live there for all eternity. Now today the bar is packed full of people from all ages stuck there milleiums. Dont beleive me then just walk in and look for a brown ans maroon chalace. And look five or so feet to the right for the chiefs urn. The only way to break the curse is the ancient ritual of exceptness. If your freind has a milky haze on there eyes it probably to late. But if you are willing then this is your last chance. First thing is obtain a ancient indian peace pipe. You must fill the pipe with organically grown tobacco from Brazil. Blow the smoke into the person's face and hope they snap out of it. I tell you this becuase my wife is stuck there, I did the ritual many times but only few can out stand Cherokee Jack's curse. Please spread the word and help end the curse.

Nice vibe, small and cozy. I can see why the ratings are so high just based soley on atmosphere. We enjoyed our cocktails, and they have English ginger beer, so can enjoy without consuming High Fructose corn syrup as per USA style soft drinks.

Had to seek this bar out. Oozing with style & character. A near endless array of Irish Whiskey's, and loads of other options too. There was a wee band playing too, which added to the awesome atmosphere. If you're around Battery Park - pop in by.

Believe the hype! I rarely do, but this place deserves it. But you have to like what they do: dark, cozy, atmospheric, waiters that know their stuff - can recite the flavor profiles of each drink and compare notes on tart/sweet/ and other attributes. Their expertise alone makes the drink worth it. Each guest is welcomed with a small "on-the-house" sip to whet the appetite. The food is incredible and the drinks are perfect.

The Dead Rabbit is a neighborhood watering hole that does an excellent job of mixing cocktails. Do not be fooled by the name, behind the doors lies a beautifully designed establishment where they take pride in their hospitality skills. Nightly specials on drinks and food make the place a big draw for those that live and work nearby.

Not bad for a late snack. Everything is polite, fast. But a very cramped room, around midnight there are a lot of drunk people who behave not very decently. Visitors poured alcohol on me, pushed several times, tried to pour a phone with a cocktail. But if you came from an airplane or later - this is one of the few places in the area where you can drink from the road and have a bite to eat.

Came back to the Dead Rabbit after almost 9 months, they just reopened in the COVID-19 environment. Still fantastic - great food, great drinks, impeccable service. Also, they are taking customer and staff safety very seriously, which is good to see.

The Irish Coffee is INCREDIBLE!!
This review is coming from someone that does not like to mix coffee with liquor.

Try it, you can thank me later.

This place is just OK. The spot is not down to earth at all, and the ambiance does not permit much in the way of conversation, so expect to talk at an elevated volume. Drinks are cleverly named, but are in no way innovative; you can get all the same drinks for half the price nearly anywhere on Stone Street nearby.

Love this place, very generous portions and their food is really flavorful, delicious and chewy, which is what I like. This place is pretty dang good, and the service is pretty dang gooder! I've been here a couple of times, and I will come back soon.

This place has liked my Instagram posts for the past few months so it's been on my list to visit this place. So it was National Margarita Day yesterday and I saw that this place was selling $8 margaritas the whole evening. When I saw the place, it turns out that they are open at 6pm because they transition from the morning and afternoon place called "Hole in the Wall" which serves really awesome Nutella Mocha.

Anyways, the staff is really accommodating and knowledgeable. The place has very cool cozy low key vibe. The margarita variety were awesome and my server recommended the pomegranate margarita, which was refreshing and tasty. My friend got the spicy margarita and he liked it. We also ordered food so our server recommended the avocado and tofu guacamole $9 which was worth every cent because of the portion size and the flavors were incredible. The sticky pork belly ($14) and side of rice ($3) entree was perfect for two people. The pork belly was perfectly crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside. I left the place very satisfied and I definitely want to come back especially when I am craving the guacamole.

Fantastic atmosphere with a genuinely friendly waitstaff! We had some time to kill before a show and this was the perfect place to do it. The oysters and wine were just what we wanted.

They have a very extensive menu, all variations of rum, pineapple, coconut, etc. Therefore, I can't even remember my drink, even though I took a picture of it. Suffice to say, it was delicious and strong. We each had one cocktail and shared a third, and it was enough to get us all nice happy for a good portion of the evening. It's a quintessential NY experience, if you're into that kind of thing.

Believe the hype-- this is a great place for a well-made vintage cocktail. Great atmosphere and friendly service. They really know how to tend a bar. Feels very old New York here, down to the sawdust on the floor. Go early to avoid the crowds!

Very poor. Not an authentic Irish bar. I have been in the industry for over 30 years and have rarely encountered such poor service. The staff are very adept at rewarding their inertia with very generous self-tipping of over 25% despite barely moving to deserve it. If people are fooled into thinking it is a genuine Irish bar, they have clearly no idea what a genuine Irish bar is supposed to be like. The Irish coffees are prefabricated with stewed coffee and canned cream and are definitely NOT how they should be made. The bar was not particularly busy with around a dozen patrons in, yet the 4 staff could not take a drink or food order. I had hoped for better but left disappointed by probably the worst bar I have been in since coming to New York.
