Excellent
I went with a friend on July 23. We had very good food and excellent draft beers. They have am impressive selection. Our waitress was very friendly and answered our questions. She was very efficient and professional as well. We arrived circa 1 pm and the downstairs was almost empty. By the time we left it had gotten crowded. The clientele appeared to be mostly tourist groups, but hard to tell

Great 1 oyster happy hour. They serve bluepoints which aren't my favorite but these were incredibly fresh. Good beef and barley soup and excellent fries served with 2 mayo based sauces for dipping. Great drinks. Incredible room. Worth the wait for dining in.

Each and every time I have been here the service has been on point and the food consistently amazing. The venue is intimate, whether you are in the Tap Room, or The Parlor, it has an intimate, friendly feel.

The cocktail menu is meticulously crafted and after witnessing the many iterations before a cocktail makes the cut, this is a far cry from your "average" Manhattan bar.

Ignore the reviews about not being able to make reservations and the other whiny crap. The Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog is a come one, come all bar for the cocktail loving, hearty food consuming customer.

Really awesome place! Going in for the first time and realizing that this place concept revolved alot around their drinks I, who doesn t drink alcohol, felt a bit uncumfortable. However, the waiter (who I unfortunately forgot the name of) explained that this wasn t an issue and he and the bartender put together an awesome drink for me. That s what I call customer service!
Food was great and everyone on the staff was epic.
Only negative thing was that the music was quite loud from time to time so it was hard to hear each other. But it didn t ruin the overall experience.

Came here because it was voted best cocktail bar in the world. Did I think it was truly the best in the world? Maybe not. But was it the best $250 I've ever spent? Yes. Yes it was.

Cosy and mysterious atmosphere, great drinks for prices that you'd expect from a place like this, and great servers. What more could you want?

Great, intimate Old Irish style pub with excellent food, delicious drinks, draft beers, and trad music on Sunday. The upstairs restaurant is slightly more upscale but the full menu is delicious and well curated.

My mum came to America to meet up with me, and she was desperate to try this bar because it had just been named best in the world. Also, being Irish we wanted to see if the food was up to scratch. I was certainly not disappointed with the stew and even my boyfriend who is terrified of gravy enjoyed it. The menu was beautifully designed in a historical, graphic novel style and there were a multitude of cocktails to choose from. Our server was super knowledgeable though and was able to describe all the drinks, how they were made and, based on our tastes, drinks he would recommend for us. We all tried different flavours and I was also given a complimentary drink when my glass came with a crack.

Honestly a pretty run-of-the-mill wannabe high-end cocktail bar. These kinds of cookie cutter establishments I pretty much everywhere in NYC. Still crowded with semi trendy people though. There aren't a whole lot of options in that area. I would have avoided it if I could have found anywhere more interesting for a drink.

They have a really interesting variety of cocktails, super efficient and talented bartenders and good food. Definitely on the pricey side and it gets very crowded after work. Overall a great spot downtown.

Easily one of the best spots in New York. Went in a group of four and we all loved our food. Food was amazing, top notch. Cocktails were class, A1. We all loved our drinks and a nice cocktail menu besides the classics.
We all got free Irish coffees before we left, they were beautiful.
Highly recommend.

The quantity and quality of reviews speak for themselves. If you like cocktails and have been to NYC, it's a crime if you have not visited The Dead Rabbit. I've tried approximately 20 of their cocktails (always rotating seasonally) and have been blown away every single time.

Downstairs is a packed wall of solid bodies shouting and drinking craft beer in a low ceilinged dark space. Upstairs is a quiet refuge, a cocktail bar serving up a colossal selection of artisanal cocktails and small informal plates of bar food. Really good service throughout.

Delicious authentic Irish Coffee and a great pint of Guinness. Add a little bit of trade music and it's hard not to have a good time at the Dead Rabbit! Thanks Brooke for the great service yesterday!

I think that few places have the quality of service that Dead Rabbit has. Several spaces to share different situations, either in groups or as a couple. Signature cocktails and some beers. The french fries are great. You can not leave here without trying the irish coffe. A forced.

Hands down THE best cocktail I've ever had in my life.. cocktails are very creative and interesting, with different levels of seriousness with flavor and alcohol. We were seated (it was around 5:30) after about 10 minutes of wait- although most of the settings were still empty.. we were told to hang out at the bar until the buzzer rights. Once seated, we were greeted with a sample cocktail in a small tea cup - sweet and refreshing. Overall experience was great and this will be my favorite go-to from now on.

This place is great!!! Great food, great drinks and the staff were all amazing. Try the fried chicken and bangers and mash. Rarely do we find a place where everyone is so friendly and genuinely seems happy to work there. Thank you for a great evening! We'll probably be back tomorrow before we go home.

I was staying downtown for a business trip and a coworker suggested The Dead Rabbit as a must try while in the area. My coworker and I decided to walk from West St. which took about 15 minutes. It didn't disappoint! Though very crowded, they seated us within about 10 minutes. The service was quick and very friendly. The food selection was great (and we joked with our server about where the "local rabbit" comes from). My friend ordered the corned beef sliders and I got a burger and both were delicious. A burger and a beer came to about $30 with tip which wasn't outrageous for downtown NYC. It's a lively crowd so if you're looking for a quiet dinner this isn't the place but if you enjoy a good meal in a pub atmosphere it won't disappoint!

Lived up to the reputation for great drinks served by experienced bar staff in a great bar. Being from Northern Ireland we had heard a lot about the DR and we weren't disappointed. Very busy bar. Reasonably drinks prices given the location. Worth the trip when down that end of Manhattan. We walked there after visiting the One World Observatory. Staff were great too. $$

It doesn't matter what else you do in your life if you haven't visited this public house. This spot is amazing. Staff is incredible, cocktails are best in planet, and atmosphere takes you to a place in time you wish you existed.

It's based on the Gangs of New York era and the bartenders can educate you on FIDI history while pouring you fantastic cocktails. This could be the number one best establishment below fulton street

Super cool cocktail lounge. Great selection, bartenders are extremely informed. Does a great job of presenting unique flavors. The ability to send yourself a postcard is an excellent touch.

Undeniably good cocktails - especially the Irish coffee. They also have a pretty good happy hour; maybe even the best happy hour oysters south of Upstate. The food is not as good but still better than you might expect. Whether it's small plates to accompany the drinks or a full meal, there is a decent selection of food and most of it is pretty good. However, the flip side is that everything outside of HH is pretty expensive ($15 standard NYC cocktail +). Also, after being featured as one of the 'best bars in America', they got too cool for school. From the need for reservations for a table to the pointless velvet rope (even when the upstairs is empty), its recent pretension has taken some of the fun out of it.

This Pub is an authentic Irish pub, a Dive in Dublin you won't find better even at Temple Bar Pub .. very friendly and Professional Staff, Great Cocktail and Guinness , it cant be better at st James's gate in Dublin. the fish an ship is one of the best i ever eat .. i was 6 month in Dublin as a Maitre D'Hotel at the Ashling Hotel in Dublin when i was younger .

The drinks are outrageous and the food is just as good. We put our names in for upstairs, and I started with the Sour Grapes cocktail while we were in the taproom and it was delicious. Also had a few sips of Halley's Comet and Humble Pie.

Moving upstairs to the Parlor (about a 20 min wait), we had a second round (I loved the Kith and Kin) plus food. The chicken pot pie and lamb stew are not to be missed, and the fries were incredible. Only thing I would have skipped was the bourbon pecan pie pudding, it was decent but nothing special.

I finished with a mini Irish coffee, which was the perfect way to try the famed drink without committing to the regular size. It was definitely the best one I've ever had.

The story of the history this pub is based on is quite interesting. The decor is unique and fun. The drinks are a few dollars but definitely The Best that you will find in NYC. They are out of this world! There were others there who came from other countries just to try the cocktails. The cocktail menu is also changing, staying creative. The leeks and potato was homey and perfect. The oatmeal bread that came with it was out of this world! Can t wait to bring my family here. Very attentive staff.

Great food. Lobster deviled eggs are out of this world, and so are their sliders, both pork belly and short rib. Dead Rabbit Irish Coffee is truly the best in the city! The place gets extremely crowded and loud at night. I guess I'm getting old for the scene, but I am not ready to give up my favorite Irish coffee and deviled eggs. Highly recommended!
