This park is fascinating! It has things from all the different inventors from Dayton. My family (1 year old and 10 year old) loves to go and enjoy the different buildings. And they have a real, honest to life eagle's nest! With babies and everything!

The park is full of Dayton history and innovation. The tour is easily walkable and the exhibits are superb. There is The Carillon Brewing Co for lunch and the food is excellent. There is also Culp's Cafe in the park for a quick lunch.

Fun Christmas atmosphere! Roasted chestnuts, cider, ginger cookies and popcorn for purchase. Miniature steam engine trains and carousel rides for the whole family (both require purchasing extra tickets not included with admission). Giant slides set into hillside with christmas lights leading up the stairs are a hit with the kids.

Very nice museum of the area. The admission has gone up. Of course when I was a kid my grandfather would take me here and it was free. But they have continued to improve and added exhibits making it a very nice museum. No one, especially if you are from the area, should pass this up.

What a wonderful place to visit all 9f the rich history Dayton has to offer. My family and I spent 4 hours exploring various exhibits and we barely scratched the surface.

The boys loved the carousel and the full sized train cars on the transportation building. My wife and I enjoyed the extensive collection of cash registers, historical bridges, and print shop.

We didn't get a chance to check out the brewery, but hear amazing.

Bottom line: we are looking forward to visiting again.

Larger than I expected, full of knowledgeable guides, full of interesting history about the Dayton, OH area. One of my favorites was the original restoration of the Wright brothers Wright III Flyer that was overseen by Orville Wright. In addition, a replica 1850s tavern and brewery with excellent food, beer and atmosphere at inexpensive prices.

If spending more than a day in Dayton this is one attraction I recommend seeing. Adults costs 10 dollars to get in and there is a discount for kids etc. There was no educators discount offered for me. There is a small train, tons of historical buildings. It is fun for kids, families, and single travelers alike. The most impressive part of the visit is the Wright III flyer, which is the original except for a few small unique parts and the fabric. One of the Wright brothers designed the building that the flyer is held in themselves. There are also unique exhibits about Dayton, transportation, trains, toys, etc. There is even a working wooden organ and carrousel.

Honestly, I've lived in Dayton for almost five years now and I didn't visit Carillon Park till today. I recommend anyone living here or just visiting to stop by and learn some history of Dayton. Perfect for second graders and older. They start retaining and becoming way more interested in history.

The park is wonderful and full of so much history. My visit was short because of my schedule. One employee did become very rude about my service dog after I was already cleared to come through, making remarks that I'm not blind and she can see that I walk ok, etc. The upper management addressed the problem employee. I will still return again when my visit can be longer. Still a five star park, worth the visit!!!!

This is a great, inexpensive way to spend a day out with the kids. These folks have done an excellent job of combining education with leisurely entertainment. Move at your own pace and get an up close look at a variety of the Dayton areas proudest history.

Carillon Park is a very interesting and educational place that I would say everyone is aloud to come here. The picture that I posted of the Carillon bells is hopefully helpful because if you haven't seen the Carillon bells you might need the image to help you. When you first walk in, you have to pay. It is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for 3 through 17 yrs old. If you are under 3 yrs old than you get in free. If you ever have any more questions, please ask me (from Google Maps). I'll be more than welcome to answer your questions. Also, I recommend this place to all! Thank you for reading this. I hope it helped!

Beautiful park or place to hang out. They recently decorated the bell tower as a Christmas tree, I m not sure if this is an annual activity. It s a great place to walk around and enjoy the view. It has a brewery on the same plot of land as well, Carillon Brewery.

We had a great time. People there were very helpful. Was disappointed the marry go round wasn't included in the price of admission. Food at the brewery was very good and wait staff was fantastic.

Way more cool than I originally expected! This is a great place for out of town visitors or locals that want to learn more about the Dayton area. They have a park with several buildings for different times or subjects pertinent to Dayton history. Each building is modeled after the time or significant event / person. For example, there is a Wright brothers plane also available for viewing. Not all buildings have air conditioning and you do have to walk the park area to access all the buildings. The park is beautiful and there was way more history than I expected! And I've lived in the area for several years. You do have to pay to access the park but it is totally worth it! Great for kids!
There are also the carillon bells able to be heard and a demonstration of how it works. These are lit up during a ceremony near Christmas time.
There is also a brewery next door to the park / on site (but separate) that makes beer as they would have in the early times (1800-1900s?).
The brewery has a restaurant that serves German food. The brewery makes beer mostly on Friday and Saturday, not on Sundays (not sure about days during the week).
