Awesome place that has something for everyone! Great park, people and atmosphere. Love Concours D'Elegance!
A fanciful recreation of old timey Dayton. Pleasant to walk through, and lots of cool local museums nearby.
A wonderful Christmas light show and historical display
We just loved this place, alot to see, if you haven't been yet then you should
Great place to visit with some awesome aviation heritage
Great place to have lunch and stroll around Dayton's history.
We went on a day they were having a special event so it was a great time.
Great place to spend the afternoon admission to the museum was a little pricey.but the restaurants where worth it. You can go to the interior restaurant without a mission to the museum if you ask but they didn't share that advice until afterwards
Allot of history. Nice park to walk around and Learn.
This place is awesome and not overly crowded. Dayton has a ton of history that wouldn't have been captured without the park. They even have actors and demonstrations from time to time.
We had never been before and will not be going back. Nothing is well marked and we ended up wandering into the park. The staff member that intercepted us was quite rude when informing us that the park was closed (it was suppose to open in 10 minutes). When I said we had never been to the park before and asked a question about the park, the guy was very short with me and was being an ass. We made an honest mistake and the guy was a dick.
They organize train show every year. I think best time to visit this park.
We didnt get to experience all of the exhibits as only a few were open.
Much more than we expected. So much local history that changed the way we live. Plenty for kids to enjoy. It is like visiting multiple small museums with all of the historic buildings on site. The Wright Museum is a must. We spent over four hours with a quick lunch at the Carillon Brewing Company on site which we also enjoyed. We will visit again.
Great place for the whole family! Plenty to see - historical buildings, artifacts & vehicles. The Transportation bldg houses street cars, etc - a must see. People demonstrate life in the 1800s, there's a bldg dedicated to the sights & sounds of the 1913 flood and a tour guide in the Wright Hall who leads you to an actual plane used by the Wright brothers. The visitor center houses further artifacts & a working carousel among other things. There's also a picnic area and cafe. Lots to enjoy, bring your walking shoes!
First time visiting since relocating from the northwest. Great facility! Quaint historical venue, staff VERY friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! Glad the annual membership will get us in some cool events!
A delightful experience for my 4-year-old grandson and I. He especially liked the interactive electric train display, and the carousel. The new Culp's Cafe is nice .... and pricy, even for kid's food.
Wonderful family adventure! Rich in history. Fun exhibits, and even has a Bald Eagles Nest with Eagles/babies(probably grown now).
Carillon historical park has many wonderful experiences. The iconic Bell tower is a great place for a picnic out on the open lawn. There are events going on in the welcome center such as train conventions. The park also has several historical buildings important to Dayton Ohio. The wright brothers bycicle shop, a printing press and many other buildings are preserved and available to walk through and experience the rich history on the area.
Eye opening to experience all that Dayton people have contributed.
Ive loved this place since I was a child and now its even better with the new addition good place to visit and visit with kids
There are all kinds of exhibits about the rich history of the Dayton area.
A great place to visit history. Enjoyed time among the history.
Very educational and the lights made it even more beautiful.
Great place to learn about history. Fun and interactive. Lots of different buildings and the volunteers here are so full of knowledge. Ride the carousel. Take your time here and enjoy all this place has to offer.
Fun spot for an avid photographer to play around.
It was awesome ,I had a great time, calm and beautiful scenery
Wonderful museum I somehow overlooked for 35 years being in and around Dayton. The rich invention heritage of Dayton is quite amazingly showcased in this very impressive museum of many complex buildings and subjects. It's like a mini Smithsonian!
Great authentic displays of historical buildings, a 1905 real Wright Flyer - Orville actually helped set up the display, lots of other area history and displays. Well worth the day. My 12yo loved it.
Great park of history that seems to add more. Love the cafe and the Brewery/restaraunt. Convenient location.
The Christmas lights on the Carrillon tower are beautiful
This is one of the best park/museums in the country
There are interesting artifacts with decently priced admission. The miniature train ride was fun and it is a great place for the family or just to spend the day.
AWSOME PLACE
WOULD LOVE TO HEAR THE BELLS RING...
CHRISTMAS TIME IS BEAUTIFUL
Our 12 month old son loves this place! Fascinating museum, beautiful grounds, tough hiking trails. The complete package
Food is fantastic and the beers are great. Very impressed with our visit
Good food at the pub, authentic looking costumes and it's fun to watch the brewers. The Christmas tree is spectacular and you must try the craft beer sampler
Excellent educational and historic park. Well kept. There is so much to see, do and learn here. Beautiful gardens too.
Great place to get away with family and have fun. Picnic, restaurant, museums or just have an active lifestyle. Even better around the holidays
I loved this place, the whole theme, it is very well set, the music, food and costumes of the staff who work there are great and they also give you very good attention. It really was a great experience. I highly recommend it.
Great place to spend a few hours soaking up Dayton history. Loved the National Cash Register display. And don't miss the show with the animatrons. Eye opening!
Nice hiking paths definitely will get your workout there
It was wonderful day. The entire family enjoyed the experience.
Excellent history of Dayton industry and transportation plus Wright Brothers!
If you live in Dayton you must visit during the holidays. The lights are beautiful. Stop at the hunger bread house to get a cup of apple cider thank me later
This is our family outing place. My 6&8 year old love looking at the houses and riding the carousel.
Anyone that lives in Dayton or surrounding cities or travelers this museum is a must. The history of Daytonians and their inventions are so interesting. Great restaurant on site. Brewery on site. Great place especially at Christmas.
The Wright Flyer 3 lives here, the only Museum in the U.S. with an 1850's style brewery, among many other historic artifacts, and the 4-D Theater is AMAZING!!!
The food was great. Service was slow, but very friendly.
This was so much fun! We went just to see the Wright Brothers museum, but the rest of the exhibits were fascinating and well put together.
Great place to visit. Very educational. Beautiful and very clean.
Mostly the history of Dayton condensed into one place. The aviation part is quite small.
Great place for families. Rail festival was great.
Carillon Historical Park has a lot of nice things to offer. A Brewery/Restaurant which is pretty good. A Museum. The towering bells that play a little tune on the hour. And this time of year, they play holiday music. It's just a fun little getaway for all ages. I suggest a vist!
This is such a beautiful place to visit. You can either drive through and take in the view, or visit the museums located at the park.
Great museum, and fine carillon with an excellent musician, park Carillonneur Larry Weinstein
Food was great but the beer and waiter were less than desirable. Our waiter did not know much about the beer or menu. We were told we would have to wait if we wanted to sit inside but there were over 10 tables empty. We chose to sit outside but the bugs were awful.Worth trying again next time we are in town.
A great place for children and adults to learn about the history of the Dayton area. $8 admission for adults.
We went for the Christmas event and it was awesome! The lights were beautiful, we all loved the volunteers in period costumes, and the carousel and little train ride were fun to take my kids on. What a cool experience! Definitely worth the trip here, there is so much to see and learn!
Dayton is lucky to have such a great local resource. I enjoyed Room with all the NCR cash registers, the trolly cars and especially the Wright brothers plane. When I m back in Dayton I will definitely go back.
