Cozy hotel with a good atmosphere. And a delicious breakfast buffet.

Very charming place, cozy rooms and really good location. Fun with the royal row theme.

We asked if we could have lunch at the front desk. We got the most rude response from the 2 at the front desk

Tip top hotel ... Lovely room / suite , very friendly service and delicious food.

Even tho lost all my money in the casino downstairs and had to bolt without paying, this hotel was worth the price!

Attentive and welcoming service, excellent location, very close to the Grand Theatre.

Nice and elegant hotel in the center of Aarhus. Good detail is historical paintings around the hotel. Lived in spacious junior suite. Note, parking is a challenge.

Amazing location in the city center, only casino in the city and very nive rooms and service.

Really a Chinese washing house they can block 7-9 machines without effort. The worst experience ever. And the staff does nothing. So not much game we got

Beautiful hotel in a historic and central building. Huge rooms that contrast with the rest of the common areas of the building that are somewhat small, such as the entrance hall or the bar. Good breakfast in a glass patio with modern design. Quirky elevator and very nice corridors. Central. Friendly and correct staff. For the price that is paid, they should improve the daily cleaning of the rooms, both the bedroom and the bathrooms, change and replace the coffee service in the rooms. Very slow cleaning of the rooms since there are still uncleaned rooms by mid-afternoon

Great location, has alot of character. Front desk people are very helpful.

Do not control quite a lot. We had ordered their 'afternoon tea', which they were largely unaware of, even though they advertised with it.
Thin coffee, weird tea and a very small table where you had to put the thermoses on the floor.
Payment could not be found out either, so I had to send an e-mail afterwards.
Therefore: Never again Royal.

Everything about our stay was excellent, from the service at the desk to the housekeeping to the price. The hotel appeared somewhat old fashioned abd in need of renovation, but it was generally well kept.

A single night's stay at work. Nice hotel and ok breakfast, but the room was very dark and gloomy when I arrived at 21. There was not much lighting in the huge room. Not a good experience.

Ok room out to be crowded, it smelled a bit of smoke. Was there in connection with a business trip and in relation to the location makes it the place obvious to any. future visits.

The hotel is super nice and neat. The location can't be better - you are a maximum of 10-15 minutes walk from everything. The breakfast is really delicious with a large selection. Super experience!

Nice rooms and good location, however, there was very loud partying at the hotel until 2am which made it impossible to sleep. Would not recommend the hotel for a weekend stay and especially not for the price if private parties are rented out and prioritized over guests.

Room was small but nice. Not too clean. Two nights - two parking tickets, so do not stay there if you come by car!

Super centrally located, really exciting old fashioned decor - though a little worn, but nothing that really matters.

Fantastic good experience. The staff was incredibly nice and serviceminded. The room was large and with the most beautiful romantic decor, nice overlooking the city roofs. The breakfast is freshly prepared and delicious organically. The location was extremely central 2 min from walking the pedestrian zone
All in all, a perfect stay.

Okay, we had chosen a junior suite. But it was all worth the money. Incredibly exciting, historic hotel with a lot to look at. Everything was top notch.

Nice old fashioned hotel in the Centre of Aarhus. Welcomed on reception by pleasant staff who all spoke some English. Self service buffet breakfast served in the morning until 10.00. Tea and coffee in bedroom, and iron and board also. Mini bar and snacks were very expensive but there was a 7-11 store 50m away.

Nice, old hotel in a very central location. A bit noisy when you want to open the window in summer. But if I book a hotel in the city center, that should be clear.
We felt very comfortable.
Negative point: We booked with a dog and paid a lot of extra money for it. In other hotels there was at least a bowl for this, in good hotels there was even a blanket, here there was nothing except the fee.

Beautiful hotel, rooms are very spacious and the toiletries are luxurious. Location is perfect - right in the centre and so easy to get back to using the cathedral beside it as your landmark.
Staff are very helpful also, but the pillows are a bit too soft for my own personal preference.

Elegant and classic hotel, but a little old fashioned (e.g. A little cold and no power outlet near the bed)

One of the best meals we've had in Europe was at the 2nd floor restaurant of Hotel Royal. The oven baked cod, slow cooked pork... and beautifully plated dishes.. made me think that we could take a train back to Arhus just for this.

The breakfast is good but with a few flaws (dry pancakes and an empty jar of syrup two days in a row).

My stay was very enjoyable. The staff is friendly, the rooms spacious, comfortable and clean.
Like most other things in Denmark the price is a bit steep (breakfast as well)but then again the Royal is an excellent and upscale hotel.

Classic hotel experience on the good end. High service, nice decoration and lots of atmosphere.

I was at a wedding there which was really beautiful and the food was great and the service too. There was just this very noisy airconditioning which took at least one star away from the experience.

Nice hotel, in the absolut center of Aarhus.
Very nice hotel, right in the middle of town. This is a great place if you want to explore the city on foot. From here you can walk to everything. The bar in the casino is open until late every night, and there are many restaurants, cafes and bares to chose from, right around the corner.

We were there in connection with Gastro week 2018. The serving was quite lovely, and the waiters were smiling and accommodating. From the main course to the dessert, however, it took far too long, which therefore pulls it down to 4 stars.

Definitely recommended for those who would like an extra cool hotel stay experience.

Really good reception and delightful room. BUT the breakfast was a joke. Really low level... Disappointed
