Bought a car 2 years ago from dave edwards Toyota. Was treated wonderfully and helped by Bill Ledbetter and John David Ledbetter, traded that car into today And bought another one and of course per my request i got the 2 best guys again!!! Very thankful for their hard work and genuineness.

My salesperson, Thomas Hawkins,
did an excellent job explaining the features of each vehicle I considered.
He was extremely courteous and I never felt any pressure at all to buy.
After the sale, he immediately resolved a minor issue for me. He spent ample time explaining how to set up and access the car s programs.
Vince also did a great job in explaining the additional service warranty plans.
All in all it was a very good buying experience and I would certainly recommend Dave Edwards to anyone in the market for a Toyota.

I was traveling away from home on a short weekend trip when my 2020 Toyota Highlander flashed a start/stop system error on my dash. I needed to leave Monday morning, but was unsure if the car was safe to drive. I called Dave Edwards to see if they could squeeze me in for service and without hesitation the service advisor, Mr. Mike Towe, gave me an immediate appointment. They took care of me, keeping in mind I was traveling away from home. Spartanburg is lucky to have such a superior and thoughtful business as Dave Edwards Toyota.

Bought a used truck from them(2004 Tacoma), 1 Year later brought the truck in for a routine oil change, and had an issue with the headlights not coming on. They called me back telling me that I needed a new cpu and wiring harness that was going to cost $6,000, or one of the mechanics would "take the truck off of my hands" for $5,000 because repairs would be more than the truck was worth. I still owe $10,000 from buying the truck from them less than a year earlier. It's hard for me to believe that an issue like that didn't come up on there extensive multi point inspection. I just fixed the headlight issue for $420 at a place in Inman. These guys are crooks, all they want is to take your money. I will never do business with these people again!

I had an amazing experience buying a car from Dave Edwards Toyota!! Bill Ledbetter was awesome at helping me find a car that fit my needs in my budget. He did not pressure me to go above my budget at all! The only reason this is a 4 star review is because my husband and I felt really pressured during the financing part at the end to buy an extended warranty when we stated we didn t want it. Otherwise, my first experience buying a car was great! The customer service is superb!

And if you give them a hour for each job they should have been done around 12 to 1230 . I had a very pleasant experience buying my Rav4 at Dave Edwards Toyota - so much so that I drove there from Charlotte, NC rather than buying from my local dealer. Roberto got me a good price and was nice to negotiate with (none of the stereotypical car salesman stuff I experienced at the local dealer). Eddie did great job getting me all set up and educated on the car. Vince from finance made everything very easy too. Honestly, I'll probably be driving the 90 minutes to Spartanburg for all my planned maintenance... Forced mini-vacation every 5k miles :)

I was in town only for the weekend and my mother had wrecked her car. We decided it would be best for her to take my car so she would not have a car payment and for me to buy a new car. I messaged Ronnie Ray Friday afternoon and told him our situation and what I needed. He worked with me over the phone into the evening and got everything ready so I could come in Saturday morning and finalize everything and not spend the whole day buying a car. It was an easy and quick experience, which is exactly what I needed before heading back to Chattanooga, TN in my new car! Everyone was great to work with!

Today my wife and I went into Dave Edwards Toyota to purchase a Honda Odyssey that we found on CarGuru. Our salesman was Bill Leadbetter who was amazing. I called Bill on Friday to see if the vehicle was still on the lot, which it was. We got the financing out of the way before driving a hour and a half to do a test drive. Drove up today (Saturday) for the test drive. My wife and I decided to purchase the Honda. Dealing with the finance manager John David was an awesome experience. He interacted with our children as if he was a kid himself. John David was able to get our payments to what we wanted even with the extended warranty. They provided EXCELLENT customer service and have set the bar as to what I expect out of a car salesman and finance manager. Thanks again!!!

Stay away!! This dealership plays very very DIRTY.

1. They somehow convinced my partner that she needed to buy car insurance before she even came in, before they even agreed to a sales price or financing on the car she wanted to buy.

2. They pushed a car loan at her with a crazy 18%APR, and then had the nerve to tell her they were doing her a huge favor and the loan was COSTING them $1200, when in reality I am certain they would have been getting a big kickback for selling her the loan.

3. They then kept her waiting, and waiting, between meeting with sales people and finance people. This was really the only good thing that happened, because after a couple hours she finally got up and left, it was the only thing that saved her from a very overpriced used car and high interest loan.

I really like the upfront pricing and the fact they try to let you know how long it will take. Now, truth is the app is bad so call for appointments. the app will double book appointments, not confirm times etc but the service is great.

Robert was very helpful but there are a few things I had an issue with. 1) grease was left on my door s inside cloth. They used a plastic cleaner on cloth and once it dried it turned out to still be there. Had to buy some armor all to get most of it off. 2) they forgot to put the engine cover back on my car. 3) didn t see anyone wearing a mask in the service department. Lastly, labor is very pricy. Dealerships are typically more expensive but I don t expect any of those three issues I had when paying at that premium. They were very friendly but the service I received left me unsatisfied.

Just got my wife her dream 4Runner and it could not have been a better experience. Jared Back was nothing but professional from hello to congratulations. He was very patient and answered all of my (many many) questions. He and management worked hard to get me the best price and financing (I ended up leasing based on the numbers they gave). Vince in finance was very thorough and made sure my family had peace of mind with the proper protection. Class act establishment. I have been in the car business for 13 years. We have taken two cars there now where my husband has had to wait over an hour for a tire rotation and oil change and he had an appointment both times. This morning he left the house at 6:30am to be there at his 7am appointment time. He called me at 8:13am saying he walked out and we will now be going to another dealership on Saturday morning since the car was still sitting there untouched for OVER an hour. The girl simply apologized and said he should try lunch time it is faster. Mind you last time he had a lunch time appointment and it was the same thing. No one wants to take personal time and be late getting back to work to get an oil change or in this case not get an oil change but just waste his time.

I visited Dave Edwards Toyota, in a difficult situation with my previous Dodge Charger. When I first arrived I was greeted with smiles on everyone s faces. The service was great Endy Gamboa took great care of us offering us water. He worked diligently on getting the right fit car for me and what would work best with trying to save me as much money as he could. I decided to leave feedback because I m one who reads reviews and to determine if I want to take my business to a company or not. I ve been dealing with this dealer for 3 weeks and although after last Saturday I still was willing to give them a chance because of a very pleasant lady (Nathalia) but after being told on 8/31/20 that I would be getting a call back on 9/2/20 about another car and option I ve had enough. After going back and forth and talking to multiple salesmen, getting different information and quotes I finally emailed the GM. Nathalia spoke with him and originally, he claimed that he never got my email and then when he called and left a voicemail, he said he had gotten it. When I called him back after getting his voicemail his demeanor over the phone was cold and treated me as if I was a bother and he had better things to do. (I guess when you re in higher position you look down on others but that s just my opinion). He assured me that I would be dealing with the sales manager of whom I never have spoken to and Nathalia. All the while dealing with multiple salesmen which I had requested not to. I finally had the opportunity to go up on 8/29/20. Now previously I had spoken with a gentleman by the name of (Tyler) who said he would be glad to help me. Nathalia had assured me that he would take good care of me. Once I got there, I asked for her and was told she doesn t come out for customers by another salesman outside. I then asked to speak with, Tyler the other salesman told me I would have to go to the pre-owned side and go inside and ask for him. Once I got in Tyler came up front greeted me but treated me as if I was gum on a shoe and walked me back to his desk and told me he would be right back. When he came back, he had another salesman with him and said he would be helping me. Now I was Livid, because once again I m going back and forth through different salesmen which angered me especially since I explain very clearly and precise told the GM I did NOT want to be back and forth. So, I played it cool. Ronnie Ray the salesman I was assigned to was very nice and you could tell he wanted to earn my business. When I got back from test driving a Cadillac & Toyota RAV4 I told him I just couldn t make up my mind but I was told by Nathalia to get a quote on my car for trade. The guy took maybe 5 minutes came back in and offered me only $2000.00. Now before I got the quote, I looked at a Jeep Wrangler and after giving my information on my car I was informed they would give me $5500 for my car. So, I left and spoke with Nathalia on 8/31/20 I explained to about the incident with Tyler to be told he was with another customer, which I never saw him with. I went to go over to his desk and sit originally, then I am informed that his role had changed and that he was now working in The Internet department because of the traffic that has picked up online because of COVID-19. If that were the case, he could have informed me of that instead of making me feel like I was a plague or burden. After that I spoke with Nathalia about my quote for my car and was informed, they had given me a blind appraisal for my vehicle to begin with, especially if a customer asks for one. How could a customer whom never ask for that ask for a blind quote and why was it treated as if it was my fault for having four jobs, they wanted to give customers all the information available before they showed up. If that is the case, they provided false information to me, which is considered baiting the customer. Buying a car should be a pleasant experience with staff making you feel like you re the most important customer at that time, because they are trying to get your business. As stated, I still have yet to even speak to the sales manager with also.

Dealing with Dave Edwards has always been very easy. During our purchase they worked with us to get the payment we knew we needed. Since then, getting a service appointment is just as easy. I can go online and pick my day and time for service from a calendar. Very, very easy. The people are nice and helpful and they move you through the process so easily. We will go back again when it s time for another new car.

Quality is important and being able to fit vehicle maintenance in during a work schedule is important. Calling ahead to get on the schedule is highly recommended due to the large customer base they service. If you can arrange to drop offf your vehicle, then I would advise it. They have a great customer lounge with an awesome Cafe. But 2 hours for an oil change on a non-brand specific car does seem a little lengthy.

We have taken our cars (the ones we moved here with from Florida 3 years ago and the ones purchased here) always to Dave Edwards Toyota for service and general maintenance and always left pleased, never try to push you into additional services. They always give you their recommendations targeting your needs and let you know what order you may want to prioritize if needed. We Love the Toyota product and service after the sale! With our most recent purchase, we traded in a 21 year old RAV4, that still has many good years to come!!!!! We look forward to many wonderful years with our newest Toyota purchase!

Short version of a less than standard experience. I bought a 2016 Tacoma, they got my money and promised me two items as I was getting ready to drive off the lot...(all weather mats and keyless entry fobs). Five days later, I get a call to come pick up the floor mats...BUT get a phone call to explain that they can't honor the keyless entry even though I was told by my salesman and one of the sales managers that "they" (Dave Edwards Toyota) would "make it right" for me. They made it right alright. And because I left negative feedback on their response customer service email, I then received a call from my salesman...I said "hello", he said "I thought we good?" Needless to say, I won't even be going back for my free tire rotations and oil changes. I'll take it to another dealership even if I have to drive an extra 45 minutes. Sorry, not sorry. Get that commission and go back on your word! Sad.

**BEWARE** I did a lot of research on the vehicle I was looking for before going to the dealership. I was greeted promptly by the salesman who was very nice throughout the entire process. I told him which vehicle I was interested in, explained I had got an e-price online and I told him we could do the application. Fast forward about 30-40 min and he brings a paper back from the sales office. I was shocked. Not only did it have a price above msrp that was on the website, I had to prove by requesting another price from this dealerships website to be shown to the sales manager that the price I said was true. I was then told by the sales manager that the vehicle I was looking at was not a vehicle that is normally discounted but he would take the loss of the deal would go through. Then comes back with another paper with outrageous pricing on it and tells me I should pick a cheaper car. I get my situation was a unique one and I knew all of my facts before visiting but for you to try to blatantly overcharge a customer for a car that you advertise a different price then make the customer prove it to you and then tell the customer that it s a mistake and should not be discounted on the website is bad business. It makes you look like you will cheat customers when you can just to make a sale and not maintain the reputation that you supposedly have. My family and I have purchased 7 vehicles from you and after today I will not return. You have lost my trust and I will not do business with someone who tries to deceive or cheat a customer out of money!!!!

Beginning with the Sales Associate, Matt Brady, he was a top-notch salesman; VERY knowledgeable about EVERY aspect of the vehicle, and VERY competent in answering ALL questions that I had regarding the vehicle. Continuing with the business manager, he, too, was top-notch in ALL aspects of the business of closure on the sale, VERY courteous, responsive and competent in ALL questions I had regarding the sale, warranties and protection of the vehicle; a real pleasure to deal with BOTH of them and Dave Edwards Toyota.

The service rep Mark Rhea is very professional and...

The service rep Mark Rhea is very professional and accommodating, however after an oil change we noticed a dent in the passenger side of our 2018 Platinum Tundra. We requested to have camera footage pulled to see when this happened, you can see the dent was not there when we pulled in but that was the only footage that they had available for us. Mark had to get his service manager for camera access who did not speak a word to us or even help Mark use the system. That's very poor service from a manager, in my opinion. Mark stated he will speak with the operations manager and get back to us tomorrow about possibly getting the dent out. Will update review depending on what happens tomorrow.

Update: lol at the owners response because we saw the tape. But Mark was great and deserves kudos for his professionalism and took care of us, and is the reason for earning 4/5 stars. We were in and out in less than an hour and the truck looks how it did when we arrived for the oil change yesterday. Good job Mark and the repair people. Still a bit dissatisfied that the management didn't speak to us and the owners response but I guess they have more important things than their customers.
