I ordered a bed and mattress from Darvin April 3 after VCF took my money and won't deliver until May 15.
Darvin will deliver and set up the furniture on Tuesday , April 4. Darvin, you are doing ESSENTIAL WORK. The bed was for my 94 year old mother who we removed from an assisted living home before the Virus giot there and it did.

We walked in on a very hot day and was greeted by a very nice woman named Lisa. We already knew what we were looking for and she worked with us to find just what we wanted! No pressure!!
I did not visit due to the virus. My telephone purchase with Kevin Gibbons was great. He is very professional and knowledge in regards to items I purchased. He is soft spoken and easy to talk with. He did not rush me into making a decision. If possible he will be my personal Darvin contact for future purchases.
They need to answer their phone or return phone calls in a timely manner. Left three different voicemails over one week. And not one return phone call. Not very good business ethics
We ordered from here 11 years ago and were very happy with the products. We went back again at the end of June this year (2020). Not all items were in stock, which is understandable. I would regularly call and check the status of the items. Every time I call, I am told it will be in 2-3 weeks. Its been 5 months and am now being told items will not be delivered until 2021! I understand the "covid" excuse at the beginning, but continually stringing me on with this excuse it unacceptable. Even if the supplier is not providing/backordered the product, it is their responsibility as the retailer to continually check and have contact with the customer, which they do not. Poor customer service.
Customer service is awful. Purchased a bedroom set and received a damaged night stand. I called Darvin and was told to email them pictures. I did that and got no reply then called and was told to follow the same process, still no response. I have called the store and salesman over a handful number of times and no response. I am 19 and purchased the furniture for my college house and am now leaving in a few days for school trying to exchange this damaged nightstand. Needless to say i don t foresee myself ever purchasing something from Darvin again. Would highly recommend to shop elsewhere.
The salesperson Bill that I found was excellent in helping with purchasing a nightstand off the main showroom floor. I definitely will be asking for Bill when we purchased furniture for our house. I give Bill 5 stars for his help. The reason I gave 2 stars is that I went upstairs to the sales floor for discounted furniture nightstand and that sales rep was in professional told me what I wanted was not in stock and said everything on floor upstairs is on back order 7 to 10 weeks which was a lie. I wish I would have gotten his name looked to be indain but not sure. I called back just to see if the nightstand was available and it was and the person said that somethings are on back order. I paid more for the nightstand from main floor but satisfied with quality and good customer service from Bill
We had two sales people to get a bed frame, mattress, and two end tables. We had very specific sizes we needed, and everyone was so helpful and accommodating. We walked out with everything we needed and it was all on sale. They stayed within our budget and were so helpful.
We had a sales person by the name of Peter Mark. He was great! I had foot surgery a week prior to our visit. He was very patient with me as I hobbled around and having to sit at times. I never felt rushed. He gave us the time we needed to make our purchase. Thanks Peter! Cannot wait to receive our furniture!
Bought 2 end tables today, spent $350. Was told if we pick them up at the distribution center we would not have to assemble them, they would already be assembled. Figured we would save $100 not paying to have them delivered and just pick them up. Just picked them up and they are in boxes, need to be assembled. Frustrating, if I wanted to assemble something I would ve spent $100 at target and assembled them. Sad we paid $350 and they aren t assembled LIKE WE WERE TOLD they would be.
This was the most Phil was very comfortable and And approachable for my wife Cynthia and I to work with in helping us find what we need it in reference to particular furniture. Phil Philip was also very knowledgeable about the particular furniture in stain motion furniture and very accommodating to the infant extras that were very much needed for the furniture . We will the Christian Stephanie Cynthia will contain to shop a Garvin because of how we were treated by the sales people in by the credits they have also thank you for your time and thank you for your great business.!
When I entered the store in Orland Park , it was rather busy. All customers were wearing mask. I knew what I was looking for picked out my items with no salesperson around. Found a salesperson. Showed her my items, she wrote them up . We completed necessary paperwork and. I was on my way. I am an experienced shopper. That works in my favor. I have always loved shopping at Darvin Furniture.
Willie East was excellent without being pushy. He s obviously an expert at what he does. We told him our needs, and he matched us to the best fitting bed the first time. We would recommend him to others without hesitation.
Sales Consultant Napoleon Daniel was very helpful. He gave us plenty of room to search out and decide what we were looking for. He made excellent suggestions on what we selected and improved what we originally thought we wanted. This was, without a doubt the most enjoyable furniture shopping experience I have had.
Next time my wife suggests we go look at furniture my first move will be to call the store and see if Napoleon is working. If not I will ask my wife to reschedule.

Visit many sites, Wayfair, Overstock,and other sites for about 2 months trying to decide if I need a chester and dresser or just two chester. After pondering over measurements and space, came to the conclusion two chester would benefit me better.
Greet upon entering Darvin was directed in the direction to purchase my item. Spoke with sale associate Bill D'Arcy . Sale went through without a hitch My reason to a four due to my delivery hasn't arrived yet.
Most of our home is furnished with furniture from Darvin. We have always gotten good furniture from them, and it lasts for years. We have always had caring salespeople to help us find what we were looking for. Today was no exception, and they were very busy. We are measuring our family room right now and mapping out how the furniture that we found was going to look in our room. Hats off to Vic our salesman who took the time to help us today.
I have been a customer of Darvin s since I bought my home in 2012. They have quality furniture and a such a variety that I never leave the store without a purchase. My entire home is furnished with items from Darvin and my top sales person is Kevin Jones. He s patient and helpful, but not at all aggressive like some sales persons can be. He s been my number one pick since 2012-I actually look for him when I get to the store. I highly recommend Darvin s!
Do not go to SUSAN KOEFOED! Her customer service skills are lacking. She act as if she didn t ant to help me at all. Didn t introduce herself. I only know her name because it s in the invoice. She put a terrible taste in my mouth. Really considering canceling the entire order.
Update: I finally received my $1800 dresser with chips, dirt, and scratches. Tried to post pics but the website wouldn t allow me. Wish I could give zero stars.
Wow! This was the most easiest and carefree furniture purchase I have ever experienced. Everyome we dealt with, from walking in the door to dealing with the financial side, was absolutely amazing. No pressure at all, answered every question, and explained everything perfectly. I really appreciated Darvin and all their associates. I went into Desperate mode when Value City called and said they were not able to keep the delivery date. I called and texted Darvin. Found the perfect set to replace the one that was delayed again. Sales guy called and it was such a pleasant experience. Thanks for all your help!!
We had a great shopping experience with Stella Kapurani! We have shopped at Darvin for over 25 years now, and love the quality of the furniture. We are just replacing a set we bought there over 10 years ago! We look forward to having our new living room set delivered!

Went to look for new living room set they have a huge selection in everything for each room in the house. sales people here aren't as pushy as in other furniture stores gonna shop around to compare prices and quality but i think I will be returning
My husband and I purchased our first living room set today. We walked in and weren't hounded by sales people which was nice. That can feel uncomfortable and overwhelming sometimes. We were greeted by Clinton who was very helpful and delightful to work with. He let us know how everything was laid out (huge store!) and where we could find clearance items. We ended up purchasing a couch, love seat, rug, coffee table, and two end tables for $1600. What a steal! The delivery cost was included and our new items will arrive in two weeks. Once we settle in our new home we will definitely be back to purchase more items!
Please don't go there!!! The worst possible customer service. Really bad experience. We didn't receive furniture for 4 months. Nobody answers the phone, nobody returns calls. Don't go there if you serious about buying furniture!!!
They would recieve five but they have some poor sale people on the floor as well delivery is becoming annoying. Rebecca, and Geri(matress) were awesome got us exactly what we wanted. We furnished and entire 10 room house. Most pieces came within 6 weeks but i am still waiting on couches 3 months which only go in the room where we generally would spend the most time. They sent both mirror and dressers without brackets had to call and schedule for them to come out. Warehouse staff needs better manners and to think through the questions before they ask. The other reason only a 3 came back to the store with a friend cannot remember guys name but totally not interested in selling or maybe not to us. Had to get Rebecca to help us was trying to use other sale person because she already had customers but total loss all sale reps are not the same
I went to darvins tolook for a bedroom set And mattress. Brandon helped me find the set I was looking for. He was very helpful. Then he took me to the mattress department to see Chris Harris. Chris was very knowledgable about the hybrid mattress that I was interested in . Both salesman were great I also got a very good price. I always go to darvins when in need of furniture. I have been shopping there since I was 20 which is 48 yrs now.
We went to Darvin to buy a new bedroom set. They have a great assortment of quality furniture. We were greeted by the saleswoman who was very knowledgeable but clearly in for a quick sale. While we did find a nice set, we left with a sour taste in our mouths because of her quick to close the deal attitude. On our way home she called because she forgot to write down the UPC code for another item we purchased. My husband played phone tag with her over 3 days then gave up. Fast forward to last week, she calls to set up delivery (yay!). We set it up for tomorrow (Saturday, August 22) and were told they would call the 2days or a day before with a time estimate. Again, my husband has to play phone tag and leave messages that were never returned for a few days to pay off the balance. At 5:00pm the night before delivery, I call to find out the estimated time since they hadn t reached out only to find out that they tried to deliver it TODAY. We never got a phone call confirming date or time of delivery and my husband has been home all day. There was no delivery and also it s the wrong day. There s no one available to help me so they forwarded me to a message system. Who knows if I will hear anything tonight. While the furniture seems of better quality than what we could find elsewhere , the customer service is horrid and I will not return.
I ordered an entertainment center from Darvin's and wasn't satisfied with it. They were able to do an exchange with no problem!! I appreciate the great service!!!
I love Darvin s, it s probably one of the last furniture showroom store in our area. I enjoyed my salesman and the advice he provided to help me select the perfect piece.
Our salesman Albert Boyd was very kind and helpful . He greeted us then let us walk around and leisurely look . We have bought many many items at Darvin over the years and Albert was one of the best guys yet . It s very bothersome when the salesman follow you around and are at every step you take .
We have been shopping at Darvin for over 40 years! We brought all three of our children to Darvin to furnish their new homes. They have all used our salesperson, Connie Gliwa. We had an incredible experience purchasing a mattress. Vivian, our salesperson was extremely thorough and patient. She was knowledgeable and cared about what we were looking for in a mattress. The sale brought us in the door but the consideration and care sold the mattress.
Everything was made so easy by my salesman Clinton. After dealing with Ashley Furniture since July, I finally cancelled my order with them. I had seen a couch online that I wanted to check out in person. Clinton took me directly to it and showed me a couple other couches which I ending up liking better. The purchase was smooth and I m looking forward to sitting on my couch!
2nd Update: I was called by the manager and he apologized and explained that this particular vendor for our couch has been shut down. He is sending out a loaner couch which until ours get in. I appreciate them reaching out and getting this straightened out.
Update: Darvin is just like Ashley guaranteeing delivery by dates and not meeting them. I want a company to be honest with me when I m making a big purchase instead of just trying to get a sale. I called today to be told that my furniture would now not be in until mid to end of February (delivery date was December 27th). Of course I didn t get a call and had to call to be told this. I understand this is a pandemic but give me an accurate delivery date. I ve lost my trust in Darvin and will be spreading the word that Darvin is not trustworthy company.
My salesmen Thomas knew exactly where to guide me and figured out what I needed. I couldn't be happier and the process couldn't have been easier or quicker

Darvin is a company of integrity and quality products. I have always had good treatment and courteous service from them. But today they went above and beyond my expectations and extended special attention to my issue. I want to again thank Clearance Center manager Steve for his courteous and friendly service for which I am very grateful. It s always a pleasure to shop at Darwin.
I was pleased with my purchase. I was just a little disappointed that I had to go & find someone to sell to me. Nobody approach me as a customer. I appreciate the help Clinton gave once I found him... but I passed plenty of salespeople before we got together.

I just bought couples chairs from there and I had a problem with one of the chairs, and Ms. Elinda Pecho one of sales personnel helped me alot to solve this issue, and I'm very thankful for it. I would definitely recommend this place for buying the furniture.

My husband and I were looking to replace our L shape sofa when we received the Darvin mailer announcing their weekend sale. We drove down to Orland Park and were surprised at how busy the store was as the spacious parking lot was full in the front so we parked in the side lot. Upon entering the store we were approached by a couple of sales representatives but they were not pushy and we were just looking around and they did not follow or pester us as some furniture store sales reps have in the past. Once we found a set of sofas that we were interested in again we were approached by Jay Witt, again not pushy, very informative about furniture, delivery times and the financing offer. He informed us of a couple other sofas in the store in different areas, took us to them and showed us their features. He then LEFT US to let us further explore the store. We gravitated back to the sofas we were originally interested in and Jay came by once again. When we said we felt these were the ones he said he would go check availability. He came back with the good news that there were 8 in stock so if we wanted to look further around the store there was no danger that these would sale out and be unavailable. He wrote the product number on his card and gave it to us and the LEFT US again so we could take in more of the store. We looked around but had made our decision, we found Jay and he took us to the cashier. He waited in line for us while we sat comfortable in the store as there was quite a line at check out. He took us to Nadine when it was our turn and handed us off with gratitude and professionalism. Nadine completed our sale and gave us the paperwork and a pager for the financing. We quickly were called up to financing where I apologize I didn't catch the young ladies name who completed our experience very quickly and sent us on our way. We were completely satisfied with how knowledgeable and professional as well as personable and friendly the staff is. Thank you for a great experience.

Great selections. Don t bother to go to other stores like Room Place, Bob s and other who has very few selections compared to DARVIN. I am happy I drove 35 miles to get to DARVIN but after 3 trips we finalize our selection. Thomas was good salesman. Going to DARVIN you will not go wrong.
Great furniture great sales associates the worst delivery men ever they are very careless in the commission of their jobs and they are the last impression the customer is left with.I use to work for Sullivan Delivery service and 40 years ago we delivered for Marty and Steve Darvin when they had a store at 128th and Halsted and I can tell you this if we delivered furniture the way the men did who came too my daughter's house today we would never heard the end of it.So I guess this is where the industry is today.Cheap Non-Union labor. Had bedding delivered too my house on Sept 30th like I said in my earlier text the delivery service Darvin has I extremely careless while bring in the mattress they broke a picture frame knocking it off the wall because I suggested they bring it through the back door where the bedroom was and a straight shot into the bedroom but they knew better and just had to come through the front were the bedroom door was offset and they had too try to negotiate through the door way with the kitchen cabinets and the refrigerator bringing an obstruction for them. Again another terrible delivery job.
I personally would NOT recommend this furniture store to anyone! Ordered bedroom furniture on July 17,2020 and was told by salesman John that it would take 4-6 weeks due to COVID-19. Well here I m am still waiting 10 weeks later and was just informed it will be until mid October before it will be shipped from vendor and then another 7 to 10 business days before I would actually receive it! Unbelievable not even a offering of some kind of compensation for how extremely inconvenient this purchase has and continues to be!!!Really not even worth 1 star!!
