Excellent work at getting the bike tuned up. I do this yearly as it keeps my bike in top notch condition. They basically take the drive train apart and put it back together again

Elizabeth was amazing. She was extremely friendly and serviced my bike very quickly while I waited during my lunch break . Amazing service and friendly environment. I ll definitely keep coming back to cycle loft.
Very knowledgeable, helpful staff. Always make customer feel welcome & take the time to discuss options. This is my favorite go to stop for bike gear and service.
After shopping around for a road bike I gave my business to Cycle Loft. They never talked down to me and gave me the straight truth on road bikes. Very professional fitting; Joel was patient and gave me great tips. All around positive experience with every member of the staff.
I came by the store today and your staff provided top notch service. I was there with my son s bike for a warped rim. But observing the rest of the service guys reinforced why I always return to your shop for all of our family s bike needs. All of your guys are professional, respectful, and courteous.
I cannot say enough about the service at this store!! As a beginner, I was hesitant to even go in and look around- let alone purchase and ride my new bike. However, from the moment I walked in the door, I was treated with nothing but respect. Every person we interacted with was happy and enthusiastic to share their knowledge of cycling. Nate was our primary contact and ushered us through every step necessary to go from confused to confident. The amount of time that was spent with us (FREE OF CHARGE!!!) amazed us. I would say that the information and training that we received was even better than taking a cycling class because it was individualized. The frosting on the cake was when the owner just happened to run into us on the way out (after the store was supposed to be closed) and asked how we liked our new bikes. During our converation, he noticed that I didn't quite love the gold wrap on my handlebars. He insisted that they re-wrap them immediately- told me that they wanted me to love my new bike. 10 mins. later (even further past closing time), I had black-wrapped handlebars and had completed the most amazing sales experience of my life. The energy and passion at the Cycle Loft clearly starts at the top and trickles down to all the employees...and I thank you for it!
Just purchased a new Trek Domane SL5 with the Cycle Loft team. Jeffrey, the owner, was responsive and helpful with my inquiries. At the shop, Chris was knowledgeable and friendly and made the buying process smooth and painless. Definitely recommend and will be back!
I got a great deal on an awesome bike and Doug went over every single detail about the bike I was buying and how it compared to other models, I was very confident about the choice I made. This is a great shop.
I have been in to the cycle loft a few times for spare odds and ends. I never feel particularly welcome, and get very little interaction. Catching someone on a bad day is understandable, it happens. Catching them multiple times makes me take my money elsewhere.
Knowledgeable advice and great service ordering my new bike. I was kept up to date on the order status, and it was a quick turnaround on order fulfillment. Excellent attention to detail when I picked it up, especially considering the constraints imposed by the current health pandemic. Thank you Cycle Loft, and special thanks to Joel! We'll be back!
Super experience buying my first Trike. It's wicked good!!!
Staff is friendly and assisting, even with the covid-19 limitations
well the staff needs a lot of work, I did my homework about a bike that i wanted but there staff really did not want to hear what i had to say.
Nice services and products . Sales person are friendly ! Number 10
The service at this loft was fast and very professional. All bicycle issues can be fixed regardless. i liked their service.
Top notch service. Brought two bikes in, was thinking I'd pick them up on Sat. The bikes were not as bad as I thought. He did all the work right there & then. Big win for me. Time: he did it on the spot. Expertise: he knew the problem right away so could fix it w ease. Value: I paid 25% of what I thought it was going to cost me. This place rocks. Thanks guys!! BTW, killer bike selection... all kinds of sweet rides. A must see... location is 120x better too.
Great shop, tons of options and fantastic staff. The owner was behind the counter helping customers just like the other employees which says a lot about the business!
Awesome BMX selection which is tough to find these days. I bought a bike, they ran through it mechanically and left very happily after only 20 minutes. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff.
My experience at this location was phenomenal! With that being said Eric helped me out with my bike repairs and went the extra mile to explain other simple things I did not know. With the sore being closed for COVID-19 they managed to help out. I really recommend this place 100%. Thanks Eric
Very knowledgeable about bike options for my needs and customer service was great! I have bought three bikes here for family this year!
Doug was affable, knowledgable and no pressure. Of the "big three" in the area, I'll definitely be back to him!
In the last year we have bought 3 bikes, several pieces of equipment and had other bikes services by the team at Cycleloft.... their knowledge and service has always been amazing and even in the last 6 months in Covid times they rock it despite all the challenges.
Great product selection, knowledgeable staff and a wonderful part of the Boston cycling community. Beautiful store as well.
As a practical matter, it was very important to be able to view, touch and ride a bike before purchase. Salespeople are professional and pleasant. No crazy sales pressure was applied. And they have complete command of the product data.
As an aside, I would like to thank the entire Cycle Loft team for the excellent help they provided to purchase a mountain bike in the middle of this pandemic. Proper social distancing safety was exercised throughout the entire sales process.
The whole experience was positive and resulted in a sale we are super happy with. This is exactly why I keep coming back...
Best - Mike
Everybody we interacted with was very knowledgable and friendly. It was a great experience!
I bought a Brompton bike at the Cycle Loft. It was an awesome experience. The owner, Jeffrey, is knowledgeable about the bike, and guide me kindly and professionally. I also repaired my two old bike. Top notch service. I strongly recommend this store.
I've been a customer for almost 20 years. They are very reliable, trustworthy and hlepful.
Quality brands and outstanding service! Recently purchased a MTB bicycle here and couldn t be happier. They were on time with the build and were patient and knowledgeable when recommending a bike for my needs. Also, the tech department is filled with some great mechanics, who really love what they do. they had an answer to every question and what if scenario I had and explained every component in an understandable way!
I was at this store today with a 50 year old Schwinn Collegiate I had had restored. The intent was to get a picture and discuss the bike with a manager or owner. There is a sticker on the bike showing that it had originally been purchased at Cycle Loft all those years ago. I thought it made a good statement about how Cycle Loft products stand the test of time or how the company has been around for so many years. I expected to have a conversation and see if other old bikes had been brought back. Although the manager allowed me to take the picture I wanted, he rudely disappeared when I unloaded my bike from my car. He didn't even see it! He didn't want to talk about it! This review is to remind him that every interaction with a customer in the store is an opportunity to build a relationship which becomes a base on which future sales are either made or lost. When I see negative reviews about the employees at this store, I'm thinking the bad attitudes might be originating from management.
My wife and I walked in wanting to purchase mountain bikes for ourselves. We don't really know much about mountain bikes, so we were looking for some help. We did two laps around all of the bikes hoping for someone to greet us and ask if we needed help. After our second lap we asked an employee if there was anyone in sales. He replied with, "yeah I'm in sales". We gave him the benefit of the doubt since he was with a customer, so we asked if there was anyone else available. He replied with, "yeah, me when I'm finished." We said okay, thanks and walked out. No greeting when we walked in, no one to ask us for help, they definitely lost the sale of two bikes as we were ready to purchase if they had two bikes that would have worked.
Every experience here has been outstanding. I bought my bike here (which was a great experience, they were super helpful), and recently brought it and my daughter's bike to be tuned. They tuned up my daughter's bike right there and fitted it to her as she had grown, with no charge. My bike had a brake recall and they are in the process of taking care of that and communicating very well. Awesome place. I don't normally post reviews by the way but felt it was warranted.
Found the shop on a search engine. Its not really a traditional bike shop, more of a bike "dealership". Called in. Described the work that needed to be done, got a price quote, and was told I would be able to get my bike at the end of the week. Brought the bike in, price was double what I was told on the phone, the guy said it would take two weeks, then tried to sell me a bike. Complete waste of time.
In the end he offered to adjust my caliper breaks for $25, no thanks.
Prices are high.
I got my bike serviced at Cycle Loft right before a full distance triathlon. Zach did an awesome job with the drivetrain. The bike was super smooth the entire 112 miles. Thanks guys...
After spending hours of online research trying to find an available quality boys bike for my son s 9th birthday (and realizing fast that there is an international bike shortage), I reached out to several area bicycle shops on a Friday evening. I received multiple auto replies indicating that I should expect a delay in response time due to the overwhelming number of requests during this pandemic. I was also directed back to shops websites to purchase whichever one or two bikes happened to be in stock. Just as I resigned myself to the idea that my son wouldn t actually get a new bike until after his birthday, the owner of Cycle Loft Burlington emailed me back that same night at 11:30pm!! He advised me on the appropriate sized bike, compatible water bottle cage, and kickstand. He even processed my order himself, on a Friday past midnight! Just a couple days later, our new fully assembled lime green Cleary Owl 20 was ready for curbside pickup! The gentleman who brought out the bike was also helpful and kind and loaded the bike into the back seat of our sedan. Cycle Loft did reassure me in advance of pickup that a 20 kid s bike would fit into the back seat, which was a concern of mine. I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to Jeff Palter for personally tending to my desperate mom plea on a Friday late night and for fulfilling my son s birthday wish!!!!!! The bike is lightweight and sturdy, and the hand breaks are easy to squeeze for a 9-yr-old s hands. My son is just shy of 50 tall and has a 23 inseam. The Cleary Owl 20 should last him a couple of years with its adjustable seat.
Quality coupled with expert advice, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and have provided me with quality service to date. I purchased a commuter bike from them since I moved into the area six months ago. Their sales person was able to recommend a very good fit that was in my price range. I cycle to work everyday and love my bike. Now that it's getting cold I looked to Cycle Loft to recommend winter tires. They made their recommendation which I went with and am loving the grip to the road I now get with my new studded winter tires. So far I have nothing to complain about how I have spent my money at Cycle Loft.
Fast and friendly service! We bought 2 bikes from this store and have brought them back several times for maintenance (wear and tear, and one defect). Each time we've gotten the service we needed in under the time we expected. Very easy to access and expert service and advice.
Excellent customer service with the Cycle Loft. Sean was great, very knowledgeable and accommodating. Couldn t of asked for a better experience buying my new Specialized Stumpjumper ST Downieville! Thanks Guys!
Was able to order a new bike and have it built for me that same day. Went out of their way despite being short staffed due to covid. They were efficient in getting the bike to me at pickup and were clearly practicing proper social distancing procedures which I appreciated. The seat height was even perfectly adjusted in advance based on my measurements. The bike is great. Thank you.
Purchase bicycles for my two kids last year, and recently went in looking to upgrade one. Nathaniel waited on us and could not have been nicer, and more patient (again, I had two small children with us who were both beyond "that" point) with fitting my daughter for a new bike, and sizing both of my kids for helmets (multiple times because they couldn't make up their minds). The bike was serviced in under ten minutes and we were ready to go. We were even able to trade in our older bikes towards the purchase of the new one. Will definitely be back when it's time...
Curbside order pickup was simple and seamless, a great service during these times!
Best bike shop ever!
Friendly and helpful staff every time!!!
Top notch service and expertise on a recent (2020), road bike order/build.
Only been to Cycle Loft a few times but each time team is welcoming and helpful. Had my bike serviced and price seemed fair, even better it was done 3 days before expected date.
Was surprised to see some poor reviews for their service. I really find this one of the strengths of Cycle Loft. They have a great service department. I can do a lot of stuff on my own, but use them for more advanced work like shock rebuild or pivot maintenance. I find them knowledgeable, friendly and approachable.
They have a wide range of bikes from the big manufacturers, but are a little short on some of the smaller and mid-tier brands like Santa Cruz - can't please everyone and I think their approach is smart from a business and these guys have great warranties.
Cycle Loft is also very involved in the community and a big supporter of NEMBA.
Location is great and staff is excellent. I'm thankful to have them as my LBS.
Great service of my ebike, updating the firmware.
I also found a second hand hard bike case to protect my bike on my next trip to the !
I like how they match Trek/Bontrager sale!
Always professional, great service, within budget and schedule!
Saw a review regarding Trek warranty service and I have to disagree. Trek had a fork recall a while back and they pursued me and scheduled service to replace the fork. Nothing but good things to say about service, staff and bike buying experience with Cycle Loft.
Came in to get new cycling shoes.
Doug was great ! Very knowledgeable and helpful .
That's why I've been coming here for 15 years, Highly recommend Cycle Loft.
Trek Xcal7: We purchased 2 of these bikes from Cycle Loft for my 14 and 15 year old sons to bike to school. We have had them for about 30 days. On one of the bikes, we had a gear shifting issue with one them and brought them into the shop. The bike was no longer safe to ride as it did not change gears appropriately. Jeff Palter, the owner, personally rode the bike and determined there was a problem. He assigned his top technician Anthony to work on our bike. Anthony diagnosed that the shifting issue was subtle, yet there was a significant failure in the cable housing. They replaced the broken housing and cable with Shimano's top-end parts, and the shifting is now very smooth. Most improtantly, the bike is safe for my son to ride it. Cyle Loft's service was extraordinary and both my son and I felt very appreciated as customers. We are so happy that we chose to invest in the Trek XCAl at Cycle Loft.
Went to parts the kid that helped me was very courteous and very smart in and out was nice.
Great staff; nice selection of products. I'm proud to support my local bike shop!
This is based off of multiple visits. I've enjoyed making purchases from Cycle Loft. The mechanics have gone out of their way multiple times to help me with doodads needed to make my frog pedals work. Furthermore, I would not have enjoyed my ride today if they weren't flexible.
Thank you.
Bought trek fx2. Was a seamless transaction. Very helpful staff and good lineup for various brands and types.
CycleLoft cares about their customers, no matter how big or small the problem (or the client) is. Thank you for all your help throughout the years!
Excellent service. Very helpful when I picked up my new bike. They took the time to review the features of my new bike, adjust the seat and to take care of the bike.
Outstanding customer service! These guys really went above and beyond and helped me out of a complicated situation. A lot of other shops would have left me hanging. New space and location is really great too.
Nice, clean store. Good selection for the area. Prices seem a bit high for my budget. REI, about 15 minutes away, had better prices. Everyone was helpful.
This place has absolutely amazing customer service. A few weeks ago I was visiting Boston on vacation having shipped two bikes via FedEx from California. Unfortunately the shipping didn't go very well and both bikes showed up with some form of damage and/or missing parts. I showed up at the Cycle Loft as soon as their doors opened with two unrideable bikes and ask for last minute help. I was leaving Boston later that day so I really didn't have time to drop my bikes off for a multi-day wait. The shop techs were extremely helpful and were able to resolve all of my issues within an hour or so. They spent time digging around for an obscure part that I needed for my power meter and even scavenged another part from an unassembled bike just to get me on my way quickly. All this help and they didn't even charge me for labor... just parts. I really can't say enough about their service and attitude toward helping customers. Use this shop... you won't regret it!
Service was fast, thorough and fairly priced. The store was immaculate and the covid procedure was very clear with both explanation on the website and signage at the store. I went in to have a new bike assembled and checked over. I was standing outside in line with the bike, baby carriage and my 3 year old daughter. An employee excused himself from a test drive in the parking lot and helped me inside and suggested I wait for service out of the cold. I appreciated this very much and will continue to drive 30 minutes fork my home to Cycle Loft for all my bike needs. Overall a lovely experience due to prompt and caring service.
I bought a Subrosa from them and got very good help with choosing the right bike. The next month I had brought the bike back for its first free check up. During the check up, my bike was damaged unexpectedly. I thought they were going to just give it back to me but instead they told me they damaged my bike incidentally and were going to allow me to choose any new bike I wanted on them! I couldn't believe it! They told me they want me to be happy so I walked out with a new Subrosa Arum free of charge! Absolutely wonderful service
Excellent selection and excellent customer service. Best experience buying a bike that I've ever had.
Jeff, the owner, was incredibly responsive and patient. I was able to test ride all my options and had all my questions answered. Moreover, the technician worked on my purchases and I received them same day! We are absolutely thrilled with our new Tech and Specialized bikes! Yes! They carry both!
After calling ahead to confirm they had a part in stock, driving all the way to Burlington, waiting outside, we were told they didn't have that part. That would be fine they made a mistake.. but after leaving I called just to make sure. They were rude and actually hung up on me (said he was the manager!).
Went in with an issue on a bike I didn't buy from them, and didn't intend to have repaired by them. They diagnosed it for free and I was able to get it up and running on my own. I'll definitely be going back.
I traveled from HUDSON MA. because of the dealership. The sales people were top notch as well as the service department. I highly recommend Cycle Loft no question
Fast, personable service, would definitely work with them again! Curbside pickup was a breeze.
I appreciated their prompt, honest and clear communication
Brien helped out very quickly, installing a speedometer on my bike after minimal waiting. Very reasonable charge too!
Excellent/speedy service, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. I brought my bike in during the pandemic and after about an hour left with it fixed. Even though they were clearly busy, they gave each customer the the time and advice they needed. I would highly recommend Cycle Loft to anyone looking to get a bike fixed!
Extremely helpful staff, good supply of options at different pricepoints, and bikes ready to be picked up within the same day. Excellent service!
It has a lot of experience and I like the personalized service.
Called to double check that I could bring my daughter s bike that I bought in May for the 30 day check that was offered when I bought it. I called last week and was told I could wait for it but as my drive is over an hour, I wanted to double check. Employee (identified himself as the owner / manager) was incredibly rude and condescending. I get bike shops are very busy with Covid but they doesn t mean you need to be rude and not value your customers (who spent the better part of $1,000 at your store).
That was one on the best customer experiences I have ever had! Called the bike store where I bought my bike and they said they were taking repair appointments for three weeks out, for what I believed was a relatively small adjustment. CL said come over now and we have "while you wait" repair. They did a quick assessment, determined that it was a 10-15 minute adjustment that the tech did while I watched. I was blown away when he charged me $12. I am a loyal patron and advocate forever!
Terrible place for Trek warranty service or customer good will.
We had a couple of kids Trek bikes that we found out were under a Trek safety recall. We called Trek customer support and they told us that they still honored the recall and to just stop by any local Trek dealer for a replacement bike. We found Cycle Loft on the Trek website and since they had good reviews, we went in with the bikes.
Well, they were not happy to see us. They first complained about having to do the work to process the exchange because they weren't getting paid by Trek. Well, that's a problem between them and their Trek dealer agreement, not us. They agreed but said it would take 2 weeks because there were "a hundred" people ahead of us. We said OK, no problem, we understand it would take time.
Two weeks later, we stopped by for an update and the manager complained again that they were not getting paid for taking care of the Trek recall/replacement and that we should simply be grateful for getting two free replacement Trek bikes. We offered to pay them to switch the accessories from the old bikes to the new bikes but they were still unhappy. They still did not know when the replacement would happen.
We called Trek customer support again. Trek customer support was extremely helpful and understanding. Trek ended up having to call Cycle Loft three separate times to get the process moving along. Trek told us that the replacement bikes would be at Cycle Loft within 2 days.
True to their word, in 2 days, we had our replacement Trek bikes, no thanks to Cycle Loft.
Do you think that if we had a great customer service experience that we would buy other accessories for the bikes? Or when the kids need to get bigger bikes, that we would remember the great experience and buy them from Cycle Loft? Or that we would tell all our friends what a great place Cycle Loft is?
I can only assume that they don't care.
Note that the bad attitude and service we got were from the manager, not the staff so it is obviously a company-wide policy that if you aren't spending a lot of money with them that day (or have previously), then you aren't worth the effort.
Now we tell everyone to go someplace else if you care about customer good will or service. If you are in the area, check out Bikeway Source in Bedford. They actually care about good customer service.
Kudos to Trek customer support. They are great and our kids love their Trek bikes.
Great experience with knowledgeable staff. Would recommend!
Friendly staff, great selection of parts and accessories, not too crowded!
Great work getting my bike ready for spring. The service team helped highlight what needed to be fixed and tuned as well as what I could do at home to keep it running smoothly. Thanks team!!!
Brien in the service center was great. Made good recommendations and explained them well, and got my bike fixed up really quick.
The service was very good, and fast . If you have a trikes ( recumbent bike ) this place is good for repairs !,
Thank you
Denise
Josh was a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable Great experience and walked away with a perfect bike for my needs.
Striped the threads on right side crank.
They told me the price of the repair, when to come in and how long the wait would be. Full Stop. No BS, no misunderstanding, no sales pitch.
In, out, without issue.
I bought a helmet and a mirror for the helmet. You can't go into the store, January 2021, but the staff is very knowledgeable and will bring items to the entrance so you can get a look at what you're buying.
My rear derailleur cable broke, they fixed it while I waited. There is a cycling God and he visits Cycle Loft from time to time.
Just want to thank the guys at Cycle Loft, with a special mention to Doug, who came to my rescue when my car wouldn't start today. You were all very kind and helpful and got my car jump-started. Thanks to you, I made it home safely (and now have an appointment with the mechanic:-) Cycle Loft crew is the best!
I rode in my first Pan Mass Challenge this past August and Cycle Loft made my transition from a mountain bike to a road bike seamless. I could not have asked for a better group of people to help me understand what I would need from buying my first road bike along with the gear I would need to participate in the PMC. The courteous service from both Joel, Lindsey and the others at Cycle Loft was above and beyond expectations. If you have never participated in the PMC please do so its an awesome experience and Cycle Loft did a great job in taking care of this first timer.
