Just finding an assistant to answer some simple technical questions took 25 mins and another 25mins for him to come back to us. Shop not busy at all
Again, just as the store in Cambridge Place, Aylesbury. See that review for more. I went to buy a product, their system showed 1 in stock but it wasn't in the warehouse. Looks like it was nicked! Their service is slow and sticky control is very poor for a Mega Store. PC World in general is very poor these days in my opinion.
Verry big store but not as much in stock as you might think.
Didn't stock any parts as it was online only(needed a network card) and staff were difficult to approach or unhelpful. All in all a pretty awkward
Nice big Currys PC World store. Staff super helpful and were attentive.
What an absolute shower. Went in knowing exactly what I wanted. Even gave the sales exec a printout from their own website showing the item. He spent a few minutes gazing blankly at the printout before wandering around the section looking for a display example of the item. After some polite prompting he wandered off towards a till and stood there for a good 5 minutes looking completely lost, doing absolutely nothing. He didn't even tell me what he was going to do, he literally just wandered off! Only when prompted again did he aimlessly stroll towards the stock room where he spent another 10 minutes doing goodness knows what. At no point did anyone else approach me to see if I needed any assistance. I was not the only one left wondering what on earth was going on. Two other customer walked out while I was waiting. Eventually I did the same. Think I'll go elsewhere next time.
Recommended a specific product, then said it wasn't in stock and they didn't know when, if ever, it would be then just walked off. Second assistant couldn't have been less interested or helpful. However, easy parking, clear displays, easy disabled access - but note that much of what was on display was not in stock. Lots of display items with empty shelves underneath.
Was looking at cooler hoods and Choi e was not great
Rude and inefficient. Only went in to pick up a reserved item. They didn't have the item for me and spoke to me as if I wasn't a valued customer in one word sentences. Will actively avoid in future. The whole process took about 15 minutes and should have taken 1 or 2 minutes.
Large variety of electronic goods. From computers to kitchen things.
Great range of products on display, but go when they're quiet because they seem short staffed.
Needed a new washing machine, saw the one I wanted, paid and loaded it in the car within 15mins.
Display of equipment is very open & easy to follow whatever item you are looking for. Friendly staff who greet you as soon as you get in ,with a smile,
Wasn't impressed at all Person on the front door was rude
Sales people hungry for your money very poor after sales customer service
Not sure how much longer this company can keep trading now , twas a poor selection of goods and they declined to repair my windows slate pc
In-depth knowledge of specific stock their selling is very important to me.
Lets just say you are not going to get professional help in there.
Good place to shop not all washing machine have to be white
Great service very knowledgeable and helpful from Bogdan at the Carphone Warehouse stand without any pressure to buy anything. Will definitely come back.
All you need under one roof. Excellent selection of the known brands.
Couldn't find anyone to talk to for advise as the staff were busy having a laugh. Most of the staff being Asian Chav type people with chips on shoulders, gangster's or want to be types of people. Just a real arrogance there.
Most of whom seem to be Pakistani, the Pakistani woman who served me screamed at my little girl, she almost knocked a plastic stand down, she's 2 years old and into everything, she didn't need to do that.
PC world is Not what it used to be - Once a Professional company with professional customer service.
Now It's nothing short from a non company professional staff with poor quality customer service.
Cheap labour possibly, what can you expect from a company like Currys.
Shameful. .
Went to purchase a fit bit watch and nobody bothered to interact with me. Waited for 15 minutes. It was not even busy. Staff just wait around the high price areas must be a bonus scheme or such. Friendly no. Helpful no. Go back only if I'm desperate. Go online yes. Go to another store yes. Very disappointed.
So not as cheap as online nor does it have the range of selection. But if you need something quickly or want to physically try something this is the place to go
Great service good staff quick to help me buy right product for my needs
Good deals, that Michelle lady needs a raise! Good insight, still using product, great advice
I stood there for 10 mins and no one qould help me. I went to customer service and they sent me off with some one who knew nithing about cameras didnt even know where in the store they had 360 cameras . He palms me off on some one who does. They did not have the camera I wanted in stock, they wouldn't sell me the display. they asked me to either go some where that I couldn't get to befor it closed or order in to the store. If I wanted to order in I can do that on amazon I came in person cos I want the camera today.
Excellent place to buy appliances and their customer service is brilliant...
They have good customer service. And good quality products
Didn't have the television we wanted in stock but found one in Northamptonshire so we went there.
Got all the help that I needed, really friendly staff
Over 1 hour and still on hold quick enough to take my money
Went to pick a parcel up and was badly signposted - five people all stood in wrong place and then asked to move - long wait as only one terminal out of four manned
Second one opened when 3 people complained
Exactly why Amazon does so well
Good electric and electing items on display but surprisingly no iphone
Ok but ordered online and no email telling me product delivered to store. I turn up on off chance and it was there.. still not got an email saying it's in store either...
Helpful staff and got exactly what we were looking for.
Poor poor poor... staff are rude and to collect a click and collect order you have to wait in the queue of people wanting to get their PCs repaired! 25 minute que to collect an order. Not happy!
Very helpful knowledgeable staff. I needed a mobile wifi solution for our new house until broadband was connected, the young lady understood my needs and gave me a great solution at a very good price! Recommended
I waited for 40m to gain some advice on some tech and in the end the guy who came over suggested I buy a go pro and an iPad.... Useless
Very helpless, took too long to replace the item which I was given wrong, she cancelled care plan which was set up, and then she set up different care plan and told me don't worry everything will carry on the same. I have now to go again to sort this out hopefully, 3 have to go Times for a dishwasher.
Big store. One of the few remaining electronic and electrical retail outlets left.
Went in to buy a new vacuum cleaner today (Miele). Whilst there I had a look at cameras and iMac Desktops. At no time did anyone ask if I wanted any advice or help with a purchase, I'll purchase them from elsewhere now. Moving on to the vacuum cleaner purchase, a very helpful Shark representative helped me with my Miele purchase as there were no Currys staff about, even the two sat in the corner on a computer when asked were not interested in helping. So kudos to the Shark representative for selling me a Miele. Currys, remember what happened to Comet..
Good service helpful assistant arranged good delivery to my home address of new TV
We ordered an oven in November and it took three months to arrive! The sales person us the run around, but eventually customer service and the know his installation team came up trumps!
Waited almost 1hr to get help, found what I was looking for thanks to google, got the item went to the till and it was out of stock what a waste of time useless staff
Standard samsung tablet out of stock very disappointing
shocking service and long waits.buy on line somewhere else
Great place for buying electronics. A large showroom which allows easy access to products and has good staff for helping. Parking is free which is an added bonus
Friendly, helpful staff. Good light and lot of space.
Only use this place because it has the right stuff not because of customer service.
It's a curry's. The staff tend to look at what you are wearing and ignore you if you aren't in a suit.
Customer service was poor. When i approached a member of staffs, he diverted me to another person. That guy seemed unaware of the showroom. No use. But there was a group of staff members chatting around but didn't attend customers. No feedback or suggestion box in store.
Staff are friendly and reasonably knowledgeable (unless near end of shift!). Can get some good clearance bargains.
Big store so lots of choice.
Poor service, pushy sales, wont be going back any time soon.
Bad customer service. Tried to buy a computer, got passed to three different members of staff. Most irritating
Took over an hour to collect a mobile we already ordered a day before no stock of anything we wanted
Had trouble getting the attention of a staff member and then not knowledge.
Staff helpful and friendly ,had to wait outside to be called in , the wait was not long .check the steam cleaner then got one online from currypcworld quick delivery and service
Just another generic chain store, no surprises, get what you need and get out
Superb choice of goods but finding an assistant is like looking for raindrops in a desert.
Just attempted to buy a laptop which I didn t get in the end as the only one in stock at the spec level I wanted was above my budget and I couldn t get it on finance.
I have to say though, the level of service from Tanyia was outstanding. Such a knowledgable & pleasant young lady with excellent communication skills. Had I been able to walk away with a product today I d of given you 5 stars. Taniya is a credit to your store and I wish I received this level of service wherever I shop.
Good selection of stock, the product specialists are good, my only complaint is the salesman I had talked to fast.
Terrible customer service. I stated twice that I needed help finding the right cable I needed but the guy just pointed me vaguely in the direction - the first time sending me to phone chargers, not laptops which I clearly said. No offer of help at all. I left empty handed.
Tried to get attention of someone to help but most of the staff were standing around together having a chat or too interested in looking at social media on their mobile phones. I left the shop and bought what I wanted elsewhere. Customer service was awful.
Went in to the shop got the item I wanted left quickly pure and simple as high street shops should be
Went to buy a washing machine. Was helped by Will (Samsung) and Debbie (Currys). Excellent service and knowhow
Refused to accept the return and refund of a broken TV they sold. It still has all it's film, stickers and packaging in place yet inside it is smashed, as we discovered the first time of opening it. They tried to claim that this was due to my handling in transit yet when I pointed to the immaculate box and asked for them to show me where the impact point from this mishandling was all the guy could do was look blankly at the box whilst making "err'ing" noises.
It was only bought less than 2 weeks ago from this store and I was there with my receipt. It's bad enough that I have a TV that is broken, now made a 100 times worse by their incompetence and ignorance.
They are either so stupid that they don't know what the consumer law is else are just criminals who want to ignore it. I am obtaining a refund through my credit card company instead to whom I passed on all relevant details and names to. From now on I will use John Lewis or Richer Sounds, rather than these crooked clowns.
Caveat emptor. Buyer beware.
absolutely rubbish customer service, I have never left a review before but this needs saying.
Go into store to get a laptop. Not in stock , ok order online while in store , this takes approx. 20 minutes !! Very slow internet and its a pc store ??. This was 8 days ago and you cant phone the shop direct so you go to a call centre. They try their best but even they cant get through to the store. !! Call centre email shop to get them to call me , no phone calls and I have asked twice.
This is not a review of the store staff as they do their best but I am now just leaving to visit the store and demand my money back for not fulfilling the order.
Recommend that you buy anywhere except Currys PC World.
Update Saturday 19th December 5.30pm
Went to the store to get my money back on Friday afternoon . The laptop was there untouched with no software loaded that we had paid for.
Given assurances that it would be definitely be done straight away so I could pick up Saturday promises made to phone me so I don't waste my time visiting again.
Nobody has phoned so I will be on the doorstep in the morning to get my money back.
YOU CANNOT PHONE THE STORE PEOPLE !!
I will definitely not use currys again and would recommend to anyone thinking of buying from them does so at their own peril. Shop elsewhere please.
Wide range of products with helpful staff around to answer any questions that you may have. Also a wide selection of products on display to test out for yourself before you buy.
Massive store, with huge choice.
Very difficult access into the retail park & car park - an odd double-roundabout to negotiate then a short ramp up into the car park which there's a speed hump....AT EXACTLY THE PLACE YOU DON'T NEED ONE! Parking along the front of the units is atrocious & difficult to manoeuvre - instead head all the way along to the end where there's a lovely long car park with plenty of space.
Good prices all year round, and pretty friendly staff
Excellent range of electrical products, helpful staff
1 star which is for the staff on the door at PC World Milton Keynes, the one that actually had his mask on. Care and repair is not as it suggests, basically a person that didn't even understand basic computer terminology, just form fillers that send it off to someone else and you wait up to 28 days. 1 hour 40 on the phone support line for it to cut out so I didn't even get to speak to someone, 1 hour in a queue of 1 other person and then a mumbling assistant that was as useful as a chocolate teapot. During Covid I'm using my phone 4 everything and as I had no other ID, bank accounts on my phone don't count apparently, I had to come away again with my laptop. The store looked ok but care and reoair section...no care, no repair, thumbs down from me
Waited ages then served by someone who couldn't be bothered.
Terrible experience.I bought my phone in the same company but online and when I went to ask for something that I think it was wrong with my phone, the staff treated me badly. They didn't believe me,I had to prove everything that I said and then just they opened badly the phone and they didn't know what to said. They told me that I should come back on Monday because they were so busy for Black Friday(the store was almost empty and the staff was smoking outside)I had to pay 10 pound by taxi just to go to the store...
Of course,I never come back but I talked about this with my friends and the had similar situations in this store.
I recommend Kingston store, much more better.
Both yesterday with Khali & today with Asadd, the service was exceptional. I had a budget to buy a TV, I exceeded it slightly, but am very pleased with what I purchased thanks guys.
Provided product that I needed. Friendly staff but not always as knowledgeable about products on sale.
Pretty good range and service ok when it's not busy
