I DO NOT RATE THIS COMPANY 1 STAR. I'm very disappointed in this company. My step dad brought me a printer and 3 year replacement insurance just after xmas. I open it up to find bits missing. I take it back to currys pc world in Kingston, Milton Keynes and they said they will order me one in. I wait for the call... 2 weeks later, I return to find I still have no printer so go back through the process again. I went back today to find yet AGAIN no printer. I've had a refund and was told the other currys pc world is open until 8. I have then gone to currys pc world in central Milton Keynes to be told at 7.15pm. We're shut. I explained the story to them. The guy went to speak to someone. I waited outside to be told I could go in. Nope. The guy comes back to say no we're shut come back another day. I am disgusted with the service I was given in both stores. 1) being promised I would get my printer the second time 2) told the other store would be open. Nope. Not the service or promise I was given.

Looks nice but it is out of the way a bit and never seems to have anything you want in stock. Last time I got told to order it online instead after waiting 20 minutes while they tried to find what I wanted in the storeroom.

I don't usually review retail businesses, but I just spent 40 minutes in this shop potentially buying a vacuum cleaner and tablet or 2 in 1 laptop.
I didn't get asked once if I needed help, although the shop was empty and there were at least 5 teammembers available. When I approached one of them to ask about tablets, he literally just said "don't buy anything but Samsung " without asking what I'll be using the device for. I'm quite capable of buying stuff online, but I wanted somebody to chat to for advice....Well, I guess I'll spend my money online ...

It's got a good selection of electricals, some, not all of the staff, will go to the ends of the earth to help you but I have found the know how insurance they peddle to be wanting on too many occasions now to be tempted to add it to my bill.

Went to buy a new hoover as you do, while looking at the Dyson range I notice there's a few different models per one, V8 has two different types, so I spent about 10mins trying to get someone to help and when I finally do the lady had no idea what she was talking about used a tablet to look on their website and even then couldn't give me any information on the hoovers, worst Curry's in the UK their about as much use as a chocolate tea pot.

I went into Currys Milton Keynes to try a purchase a data card for my TomTom. It was during the week and the shop was quite empty so I expected to be met with at least one sales assistant, not one approach me to help and when I asked for help it was like I was bothering them, I even tried the help desk but with no luck. I had a bad experience with Currys previously so I haven't shopped there for years, looks like nothing has changed, I will again avoid shopping at Currys.

Waited ages for a staff member to help me purchase the fitness tracker I wanted. Eventually after interrupting two salesmen having a chat got someone to help. I explained exactly which model I wanted and said I needed to try for size as More

I went there knowing the product i wanted, i asked the guy and they didn't have it in that store, it was a popular sale item that other stores have but not this store. It seems a bit strange because it was a laptop i wanted and this store had other laptops that were inferior but costing more.
My girlfriend looked at the vacuums and she stumbled across one and the lady told me they don't have any of those in stock from the brand.
It was annoying because i knew what u wanted to buy and this store didn't have it and my girlfriend tested a load of vacuums and then to be told they don't have any of the vacuums you are looking at it makes you think if I go over to the fridges is there any point...

My visit today was a laugh. Having parked by the door in a disabled bay, because I am, the chap on the door shouted 'why are you here?'

Time for me to pay and the card machine's wend down.15 minutes later I got out of the store with a much lighter bank account. At no time was I asked about my CoViD19 Status. As it happens I am 70 and vulnerable.

Now my experience with this store is really mixed as a couple of months ago I was provided with very poor customer service by staff and was made to wait almost an hour to buy my fridge. But yesterday I had a surprisingly pleasant experience when a charming young lady called Eve served me on hoovers. I went in to look at miele cylinders but after a long convincing chat and hoovering the whole store for currys. Eve convinced me I needed a Dyson and I am so glad she did because so far is the best hoover we have ever had. Eve was the most knowledgeable person I have ever encountered in that store although she did say she worked for Dyson but she went over and above expectations even registered my guarantee which I have never had in any stores! I have already recommended the store to my brother to go and buy a Dyson now whilst they are on sale.

Over a month after sending TV in for repair STILL ...

Over a month after sending TV in for repair STILL not received it back!!

Awful customer services.
Bought a TV a year ago, and picture just went black so called up for it to be picked up for repair in early august. After a long wait time on the phone line, got through to someone, who said they will get someone to call me back to arrange a pickup time. 3 days later I ring back up after receiving no call, and they tell me they will ring me the next day. No phone call the next day, so I ring up again, to which they said they don't know when they will ring to arrange pickup for repair.

Eventually after about 2 weeks of calling up with hopeless efforts, I decided to get hold of a van so I could take the TV straight to the shop instead, since they didn't want to actually pick up my product.

In the shop in Milton Keynes, the staff were rude, claiming if my enquiry wasn't quick I wasn't going to be served, after I had been waiting in the queue for 45minutes just to be seen!!

Finally managed to get the TV sent off after all this anyway on the 28th August; and a few days later received some texts regarding it. Vague texts about delays due to covid, and repair is taking longer than usual, and a rather obvious one: your TV needs parts to be repaired... Unhelpful texts, but at least they were some kind of communication; which gave me hope.

The texts stopped about a week and a half after I gave the TV to the shop. So again I rung up... on hold for 2 hours, never got through. Tried again another day, on hold for over an hour, never got through.

Even tried the webchat on the currys website, explaining that I couldn't get through to the repair team as I'm always left on hold for longer than i can stay on hold for... every agent says the same thing "you have to call the repair team"; ok...?? and when the repair team don't answer? who on earth do I speak to??

SO 8 weeks after first contact with currys regarding the repair of my TV; I still don't have a TV!! where is it?? I dont know; nobody can tell me, and I can't get through to the people who can tell me.

Absolutely poor customer service. Lack of communication. poor attitudes of staff.
Covid may excuse some issues, however they have always been like this even pre-covid, so really they are just as poor as they have always been.

Went into store today to buy a Nintendo Joycon for my son upto the counter was told no stock and she can't look up the different colours from the till so I had to go back and pick up the tickets for all the colours just to be told no stock for any of them. Went to Currys to get a Microsoft 365 and organise with the know how people the installation. This part of the service went smooth. Then I looked around and decided to buy an ex display blender on special offer. I waited long time to get served. Then the lady who served me at the till point, took a long time to get the item, initially she tried to discouraged me to get it. But in the end she did. Then it took her long time to repackage in it's original box, while in the process of doing that, she left me to serve another customer at the till, who wanted to pay. Then she came back to me, still at the till point and while finishing to process my transaction, she started to chat with another colleague next to her. She was about to leave me again, to do something else at the next till. But at that point I lost my patience, so I told her that if she would not finish my transaction I would have left the item. I left the store very irritating, so I decided to return again in store to get a refund on the 365 Microsoft office package and cancel the installation for tomorrow. The idea of going back to that store tomorrow, put me off completely. It took me almost an hour to buy the blender and walk away from the store. Poor customer services in general, shortage of staff and long waiting time. Will try to avoid currys in future. It is not worth the trip!

Went there to buy an oven. The service was shocking! Noone was bothered to help, once I got someone that someone did not know what she was talking about, could not answer any of my questions. She sent me to Tesco in Kingston for more info, I think just to get rid of me! Customers are being treated in a very disrespectuf way. Noone cares about customer service. Id rather go to John Lewis and be treated with respect!

I brought a steam iron, and was dissatisfied with it. Took it straight back to see if I could buy the next one up.... I was told no, because I have opened and used the product.

Then the manager walked off before finishing our conversation, the store was not busy.

I was unable to test the iron before purchase, however I'm left dissatisfied.

Reminded me why I shop online. Only went to look at laptops (not to buy) and was approached to see if I wanted to buy an iPhone. As I have been loyal to Android for years I think not. So I left.

Didn't order anything, could you find a member of staff to help?Noooooo. Was after a full kitchens with of cooking bits too so almost 2k or so worth of goods. Very helpful.... Not. Is it like this after holiday seasons? No one has the energy to do "Customer Service"?

I can't recommend the Knowhow service. I don't have confidence in the engineers they send the equipment too. They misdiagnose my fault and also couldn't find the replacement keyboard I gave them even though it was in the box the whole time.

My motherboard was faulty. (I did a test and I know the ZIF connector had gone) they completely missed this and tried to charge me for the keyboard they had 'lost'.

They did not fix my laptop and tried to push the blame onto me.

I don't normally write negative reviews but PCWorld are on a different planet and people need to be warned.

The staff including the supervisors clearly have not had any training on consumer statuary rights.

The directors need to take urgent action to bring standards to a satisfactory level. I fear they are so blind they can not see how poorly the business is performing when it comes to customers care. It is a problem with all their stores not just Milton Keynes.

Awful , understaffed, queuing at tills only one person serving , miserable demoralised staff, no urgency, no management presence.
Don't try take anything back or exchange unless you gave 4 hours to wait!

Overpriced stuff that can be bought everywhere else cheaper, ignorant and uninformed staff who don't know anything about the products, but will always try to upsell a warranty to you... Buy from John Lewis instead, as cheaper and most electronic items have free extended warranties.

THE POOREST SERVICE I EVER HAD. if you want to buy from CURRYS read this first

I bought a Logic Fridge July 2014. After 3 months there's water running under the fridge, I contacted their store and customer services. More than 5 Engineers has come to repair the fridge,it's been the same issue. I have to stop going to work and wait for the Engineers, when they come 5 minute they have finished sorted it out and say it should be fine. After they have gone 30 minutes later the water would start running under the fridge. I have been in the Currys department where I bought the fridge several times but the issue, they'd say they would arrange for an engineer to come and look, they have refuse to exchange the fridge because they said it was the engineer who has to recommend the exchange. The big name but horrible and unacceptable customer service. I have talked to people who has the same experience like me form Currys

I had a fantastic experience at the beginning of the year (2018) to buy a vacuum cleaner. The shop assistant was great, helpful. And he did managed to make my Mrs and I agree (hard work).
I went back in November (before black Friday) to buy/shop for a laptop. I asked to 3 shop assistants help. 2 told me they were serving another customer, one was "busy". I waited half an hour and no one bothered. I left a bit annoyed...

Average. Manager refused to price match despite us both looking on the currys website and observing the product was cheaper at argos and John Lewis. Ultimately was price matched by phoning customer services. If you like dealing with a bunch of Neds this is the place for you.

Most items are normally available to take away on the day. Staff are normally helpful but they do ask about extended warranties even on items that have 2-3 year warranties and try to up sell cables ( hdmi for example) at ridiculous prices, do some research it will pay off.

It's okay but their service is something to be desired. Sadly I came away with the feeling that I would have had a better experience online which I did and not at Currys PC World. No wonder the death of the high Street is on the horizon. You should do better Currys or face certain death.

What a truly awful place. Ordered an Amazon Echo on line and wanted to pick it up in "Minutes. " The girl on the counter was the rudest and non customer focussed person I have ever dealt with. How can a company like this employ such surly and unhelpful staff. Her manner and attitude will ensure that customers do not return, and shop elsewhere. It was a dreadful experience and whilst not going into detail I was told it wasnt there even though I had a reference number. That was it, dismissed and called another customer over. After eventually getting to speak to the Supervisor, she found the item and I left. Its a busy period and I realise that, but that is no excuse for displaying the none level of customer service that was experienced yesterday 21st December.
