Incredibly unprofessional, selfish and moronic staff.

During my stay over Voodoo fest weekend, all was going great until my girlfriend and I were robbed of over $5,000 worth of personal belongings. We left for the day, locked the door behind us and came back after housekeeping cleaned up. And man did she clean up. I was impressed. She found our watches hidden under luggage, an Ipad Pro, company computer and other miscellaneous belongings. Our hotel room alone probably made this maid's whole weekend (you're welcome).

Yes, while we shouldn't have trusted hotel staff, we did and we got burned for letting our guard down. I would have been okay with the situation if hotel management, security and staff did LITERALLY ANYTHING to help resolve the cluster that was unfolding out from under their supervision (mind you, we were not the only ones who got robbed by their staff over the weekend).

It was unbelievable the lack of competence and basic customer service that management chose to treat our situation with. I would have had better luck taking the case next door to Popeye's and having them help resolve the case. The night time security manager (Leo) came up to our room in a huff and "swore" it was not them and that their staff would never carry out such acts before he began raising his voice with us. He also threatened to fire one of his own employees (Anthony in Security) because Anthony helped us and was not supposed to be talking to us for as long as he did. Insane.

Front desk and onsite management (I'm looking at you Kinesha Stewart and Trisha Lightell) offered nothing but empty promises, that they would do everything in their power to help us and after over a month since the incident, multiple emails and voicemails directly to her, still no response. I can't even tell you what the director of the hotel has done for us (Ivy Lim) because SHE HASN'T EVEN RESPONDED TO A SINGLE EMAIL OR ANSWERED A SINGLE PHONE CALL. It's maddening working through this when nobody is trying to right the situation. How is someone who I'm not even sure exists, left to manage an entire hotel especially when they have the professionalism and customer service skills of a 9 year old.

At this point, legal action is being sought out and we're having to work between the hotel, the hotel's parent company, claims, and the housekeeping company. My girlfriend has resorted to working directly with the lawyer of the 3rd party housekeeping service, because the insurance claims is useless and the hotel doesn't respond.

OH YEAH. They refunded a random credit card, which is expired, of $189 that was owed to us for checking out early (because we couldn't stand to be in the hotel for a single day longer) and now, accounting won't answer phones or emails in regards to how we can at least be refunded for the night we didn't even end up staying. An absolute nightmare is a total understatement when looking back at my experience with Astor Crowne Plaza.
