Courtyard by Marriott Patong Beach Review

Come back to stay for the second round because it is impressed by the overall cleanliness, hospitality, 5-star breakfast, as the name suggests, Marriott, recommended for people who like quite private accommodation. But may not be very convenient about traveling We take a walk Private beach. If you like the swimming pool. And the atmosphere of a resort here is the answer This time there is a chance to go to rest during the holiday season. Resulting in a more lively atmosphere Breakfast is even more varied than last time.

Location is 10/10 and the views from the rooms facing out to the sea are fantastic. Breakfast spread is great and the staff are all very attentive. Make sure to check out the private beach area.

But i must mention the spa expirience was not good as i did not feel welcomed there and the staff at the spa need to be educated more how to deal with guests.

Everything ok, except the coral that doesn't allow you to swim on the beautiful beach ...

To get to the beach is problematic, in the rooms there is cleaning at 4. One had to go to the neighboring hotel in the evenings (bar, large pool, show program, beach.)

We spent 8 days here in July 2018. This hotel is amazing. The personnel is super friendly with excellent service. The food variety is overwhelming. The snorkeling was good the first 3 days, after that the water was too dirty. We also were unable to go to the islands by boat as everything closed down due to rough seas.

Our stay was just absolutely wonderful. Couldn't fault anything. Would like to thank all staff especially Marina, Daniel and Teddy who just made our stay that extra special- thank you guys. We will definitely be back

Good resort for relax and for kids to play but little bit far from Patong! Highly recommend for private drive travel!

Absolutely awesome place. The swim up bar is fantastic and the view over their coral bay is great and a fantastic snorkeling bay with plenty of fish and coral to look at.

Beautiful by the sea, suitable for bringing families and children.

Far to airport, Transport fee increase 30% within 3 monthes

Great hotel with nice modern rooms and two very spacious pool areas. If you can, get a room with direct access to the second pool which is quieter than the main pool. I also recommend the fire shows that take place regularly on the lawn.

Be aware that the hotel is about 10-20 minutes by car from Patong Beach and a taxi is 300 Baht (non-negotiable). The hotel offers a minibus transfer service that runs every few hours, but the last return trip is at 10pm.

Close to the hotel, there are some good restaurants that overlook the Patong bay and also Freedom Beach is just a 30-minute walk away. It is one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen in Thailand.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the smaller pool adults only, because the families with children were sometimes a bit annoying.

I would come back here anytime.

Marvelous and Quiet place in Merlin Beach with private brach access and the hotel is 10 mins from Patong with Shuttle Service Provided by the Hotel

Nice hotel, good staff but Very expensive for food and especially drinks, nice private beach, good fish but the house reef has been devastated. Now the important bit, this hotel caters for large groups so if like us you are looking for a quiet, chilled break perhaps look elsewhere as there was a group of 420 students here for our 1st couple of days who totally took over the place even having a games day on the beach! Just a bit greedy Mr.Marriott!!

The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home. Amazing food, superior service. Great facilities. The pools were exquisite. Would have given it 5 stars but the only issue was there was this group of rowdy lads on a bucks party that took over the pool two days in a row and kept ordering dacquaris 50 at a time.

This hotel is huge. It has 4 swimming pools. The food at the coffee house was delicious. It is a very comfortable place to stay. Building is showing signs of aging though

A great place to go to escape the cold Melbourne winter.
Excellent service, including attentive and genuine interaction with our children (11, 7 & 3).
The 'Taste of Thailand' banquet was a highlight.

SeaGrill or BeachGrill or wtv it was Food - slow, exorbitantly expensive for its, at best, mediocre quality. Oblivious. Stay away from their seafood. I felt as if I had been robbed. This is a warning. Just stay on the burger's menu if you should truly try out this restaurant.

The hotel buffet's coffee baristra was arguing that she hadnt forgotten about my order and blamed my mother for her forgetfulness. I could go into details. She was rude right from the beginning. Giving me a distinct frown and a disdainful look as I was making my order. Giving me an acerbic tone when she repeated asking me where my table was... Mind you she had to repeat herself because I couldnt understand her amazing English. After accusing my mother, with a condescending voice she deigned to ask me whether Id like to make a new coffee order because it was obviously my mother's mistake. Unless the barista was hit on the head that morning, she had received two seperate coffee orders, one preceding the other by 15 minutes and each made by a different person. But what do you know, she insisted upon that mom was gulping down my coffee. 0 apologies from her. Actually, perhaps I should have been the one apologetic for questioning her professionalism or lack thereof. Unbelievable.

Overall, the beach was great. The sunshine enveloped the hotel and the customers basked in the sun beside one of the pools or at the beach.

It is too bad, but my more or less positive experience here has been overshadowed by the rudeness that I was a victim of that morning.

Great place loved our honeymoon here. Tucked away from all the noise.

We are a family of three small children. This hotel is perfect for us. The staff are very helpful. Even though some facilities are shut due to Covid but we have great time.
Molly at reception were very kind and accommodating to our family.

The beach is not very big but absolutely stunning for evening sunset.

Food at the restaurant is very fine quality and good selection.

With all mentioned above we have decided to extend our stay from 2 nights to 8 nights

Out of all Marriott in Phuket, this is the best one.

Marriott is a world class chain of hotels and resorts. Marriot at Phuket is located at a wonderful spot with a beautiful beach side. The pools, bars and the lobby is a perfect place to hang out with friends and family. The staff is really nice and helpful.

The spa treatments are wonderful, and the food is great. Staff very friendly. Fabulous swimming pools, really enjoyed our stay. They provide a free shuttle bus to Patong during the day, with a nominal charge in the evening

Beach is nice, hotel room is good, breakfast choices are tremendous, over all very good except a bit far from downtown, Pa Tong.

Abit noisy due to repairs next to my room and the hotel is abit old otherwise staff was very accommodating and friendly. Get a pool access room.

Friendly staff, excellent food and the garden rooms were just perfect! There is something magical about walking out of one's room onto a lovely lawn and straight to the beach. We loved the private beach, the daily activities for the children and the Margaritas!

Were in February 2019, the hotel is good, but does not correspond to 4+ stars, the room was very noisy, the air conditioner worked, cleaning was done every day, the staff was friendly, there were many pools at the hotel, great visits with children!

The food is tasty but significantly more than going out on the town, however, that is the cost of convenience and the food is delicious. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The beach is beautiful and nicely secluded. Being a private resort really makes for a relaxing experience and I would recommend it here. Would give 4.5 stars if it is was possible.

Spent a wonderful 14 and a half nights stay in April 2013. Definitely will be going back in April 2014.

Very nice stay in this very nice hotel with very attentive staff. Three pools, all in a different style: one for kids, one for adults with a bar in the middle, and a more zen for more silence. The restoration is of quality. Only downside: the beach is not ideal for swimming due to the amount of corals.

Beautiful hotel. Awesome staff... rooms were perfect... almost no bugs... If you want quality, spend the extra and stay here. We have been jumping from hotel to hotel on this vacation... and this was by far the best.

Neat, clean and friendly place to stay. We had a great time here.
However,

Music till late kept kids awake 11pm each night.

Smoke alarm flashed brightly over our bed all night like an air craft light.

Toddlers pooing in pool (young ones without nappies) which meant pool closed for 3 hours each time. Not resort fault but still not good.

Yes they were doing renovations which meant you had to listen to jack hammers while dinning during the day.

The hotel is perfect for families with children but away from the city center, and everything inside the hotel is very expensive. To get to the city center, you pay 300 and 300 baht every day.

This resort is really good, but it is far away.
If you want to solve everything here, play here. It's a little expensive, but it's good.
It is good if family or lover is staying

Clean and spacious, tastefully furnished rooms. The view of even one of the pools is amazing! The staff is always smiling and welcoming you as an important guest!

Stay away. A very run down and dated property in general. Service just blah. Very disappointed. I did inform the F&B Manager Lee about the service issue. He was polite. We stayed 2 nights. The check in by Honey duty manager was smooth. We were upgraded- Thanks. The concierge was very efficient, she booked our trips in a jiffy and gave us good instructions on our itinerary. Day 2 we stayed in went for the buffet breakfast. No one to seat us. One of the young waiters from Italy caught our eye as he had served us the previous day and he provided us two seats. Nice kid. Not once were we attended to for coffee while one of the waitress was providing attentive service to the table behind us. Not once. Felt disgusted. Waited 15 minutes to get attention. Had to ask the young Italian kid once again for coffee. Would NEVER EVER stay at this property. Would not recommend. Way below Marriott standards. Marriott in Surawongse was super and so was the LeMeriden in Chiang Mai. The two stars are for Honey and the concierge desk. We are at the Marriott on Nai Yang and this is absolutely top notch.

It was nice experienced stay there and it was good stay
But the time I checked-in (3.30pm) I have to wait 80 mins for my room to be ready.

Price quality is very good. Great and friendly staff, nice and clean hotel and the food (very expensive) in the hotel is of good quality. Phuket center you will be slowly ripped off by taxi. They agree on a joint price. 300 bath, almost about 10eu for a ride of 10 minutes. But it is not possible to run.

1 star goes off. A cup of coffee (americano) in the hotel costs 4 euros. Shameful actually ... you better bring instant coffee from your hotel room. But otherwise the Marriott Merlin is a top hotel!

One of the best resorts we have stayed in many years. If it's Phuket no need to look for any other resorts especially if you are with your family. Go for the pool access room. They are the best!

The only reason I don't give 5 star is that hotel is old and requires renovation. However the premises are in an isolated place and we got great service from all the staff. Try going scuba dive in Phi Phi islands

Perfect, we stayed 3 Weeks in the Resort, all was perfect...

This hotel seems to be under renovations. My room was modern and new but the exterior of the hotel is definitely dated. The elevator and hallways are in rough shape. The pools are nice and the grounds are well taken care of. The beach is more scenic than functional. Housekeeping can be very slow to service your room. Overall it s a decent stay but I have stayed at nicer properties within the Marriott brand on the island.

Amazing resort!
We stayed in the Premiere Pool Access Room in April. So glad we did! So worth that bit extra for the convenience. Bearly anyone else uses this pool because it is really out of the way to reach from the rest of the resort & even other levels above don't have easy access. It has a waterfall, spas & sun beds.
No kids, no noise (Except the waterfall, which is turned off as it gets dark to reduce noice ) no bar here, sadly. But you can keep drinks on your swim up terrace.
Beds are amazing! Reasonably spacious room considering the size of the bed.

Multiple restaurants & bars - most offering a similar menu in a different casual setting but okay food nonetheless. One Italian restaurant, formal dress. Prices are standard for Western style food, so in other words high. If you like traditional food there are amazing places you can travel to.

Main pool has a swim up bar with Happy hour..
Tip? Get in early & order big once coz you probably won't get a chance to get served again - it gets packed.
Designated kids/family area with water playground & little water slide keeping most kids at bay lol

Beautiful staff! They arranged a little cake (for 2) & candle for my boyfriend's birthday. Cutest surprise.

The location is a little out of the way, but it is fully equipped with facilities for traveling with infants, family or romance. Breakfast is also excellent and is good for lunch and dinner. It is also good for watching the breezes of various water depths and sizes and the glow of the beach. It is similar to the PIC feel of Guam, and the staff is very kind. Unlike Novotel, the only drawback is that the proximity to the hotel is reduced. There is no place to walk near the Family Mart except for a 24-hour walk 100 meters in front of the main gate.

Stayed 3 nights and just quality. Layout of resort beautifully managed and pool huge passing through the gardens. Food a little bland for 5 star but all else makes up for it.
