Hotel and surroundings very very good pools are great and the hotel is spotless. Staff are excellent and very very friendly

Superb resort , nice pool area for kids and a separate one for adults . Lots of activities to do in the resort . Like take up thai cooking class , zumba at the pool etc . Very good spread of breakfast buffet
Courteous staff , very efficient . Will be back here again !

Private Merlin beach is nice and clean, lots of fishes are found, the hotel staff are friendly. There are lots of activities ongoing at this hotel, pools are well maintained. The resort is close to Patong beach.

From a teens point of view it was amazing decently would go again

Amazing hotel and amazing location, the private beach is just superb, and the 3 swimming pools give you plenty of space to go swimming, would be 5 star but it is a bit pricy and not the best quality of food when you could just go 1 minute up the road to a local restaurant and pay 1/3 the price for twice the quality of food . I would recommend this hotel 100% nonetheless.

Great location with it's own beach that is beautiful to relax in. There is also a butterfly sanctuary that you can tour within the hotel. There are a good variety of restaurants and cuisines within the hotel and free breakfast in the mornings (not sure if it's because I'm a Marriott silver elite member). They also offer free shuttles (in the morning, 100 baht otherwise) to the Jungceylon shopping mall in the Patong area.

Dealing with reservation has been very disappointing. We have a voucher for 3 nights we paid for at an auction for a charity event at their related hotel in Bangkok. We were promised it would be easy to book. Now the reservation team beats on the fact that the availability of rooms is under their discretion and we o Lyn get dates fitting the hotel.
I expected more from a 5-Star Marriott. I don t mind the money spent, it went to a good cause ( Operation Smile Thailand). It s just aggravating seeing there is availability online to pay for rooms during the time we would like to travel but the voucher isn t applied for those nights, only for the timeframe th shoreline sees fit.
I ll find a better place to stay.

Wonderful. You can spend a full week in this hotel and there is always something to do. So sad when is time to checkout

Its just magnificent, third time i have visited, daughter was married here in January 2018 and it is just beautiful and quiet and there are no other pools like they have here

A really great place with pools and its own beach. At least 2008 when we were there.

Phenomenal hotel with an amazing scenery. The hotel rooms are really comfortable and also do have a shower and bathtub. The place has 3 swimming pools. The back of the hotel is connected to a beach where you can enjoy the white beach sand and the heavenly breeze. The place also has a gym, pool table , tabletennis and lots more recreational activities. The food is also exceptional and the staff is really friendly. Although, the location is a bit far from Bangla market, so you need to rent a cab or tuk tuk.

I would personally recommend this place as it is heaven.

Staff are curtous. Facilities are great. 15min ride to Patong. Lovely to stay at. Recommend tower/ building 1 by the kid's pool for the newly renovated rooms. Although I found the bathrooms in these rooms a little small/ awkward, you're hardly going to be spending enough time in there too matter.

On the 12th of November I checked in at the Mariott hotel in Phuket. I had reserved a room for 5 nights and upon my arrival, I provided you with my credit card for security reasons, as I was told. After checking out, I had no overdue balance for my room and made my way home to Jordan. Within two weeks after my arrival, huge amounts of money had been withdrawn from my account by the Marriott hotel without my authorisation. I would like an immediate clarification of the situation otherwise I may need to press further charges against the hotel.

An excellent hotel near patong made it a pleasure to stay. Ideal for relaxation and relaxation. It has all the spa, jacuzzi, fitness center, exchange, many swimming pools, pool bar, hotel transport to get you to patong etc. It also has a well-equipped and well-organized private beach. I lived in the Phuket Marriott Merlin Beach between 25/8/2018 and 27/8/2018 and I like it, because it has a private beach. Although the beach cannot let people swim as many reef underneath, it provides a place for kid to play sand, or you can can surfing / surfboard etc. And during the low tide, many creatures can be seen such as sea cucumber, fish, crab, and even sea snake. The staff are generally very polite, nice, and helpful. The hotel room is spacious and clean, although it looks not very new. The kid activities have plenty of choices for us to choose, and we like the jelly candle making class because the product is even more beautiful than outside commercial one. The ice lolly is free to provide to swimmers and it is refreshing! The food at dinner (buffet dinner) and the breakfast are good and the atmostphere when we sitting besides the pool is very relaxing!

Well where do I start!

What a brilliant hotel the marriot is from being very well looked after and clean, the food is brilliant. Also plenty of choice and fresh everyday! Rooms are modern and up too date, the location of the hotel is brilliant 5 minutes in a taxi too patong and bangla road. Benefits of this hotel is your not in the hustle and bustle but only 5 minutes away!. Staff are very friendly and the people are brilliant very caring and willing too help as and when they can. Also the bar staff everynight where really friendly and helpful especially (Gina) marriot what a brilliant job you are doing here in Phuket.

Stayed 5 days. Amenities, services and view are great. Definitely one of the most family friendly hotel in Phuket. Foods were ... mediocre though.

It was overall a lovely hotel. A little bit of distance from the center of Patong but the hotel itself has everything you need. A chill private beach and huge swimming pools. They also provide activities for both adults and kids. This hotel is very family friendly thats for sure.
However, one thing i dislike would be their breakfast. I stayed here for a total of 5 days during new years, and the breakfast line is the same menu everyday! Nothing change nothing new. Its the same every morning which is quite disappointing.

One of the best places I have stayed in. Besides the stunning landscape sculpted around the resort, the magnificent natural scenery of the location, the courteousness and friendliness of the entire staff is quite overwhelming. For a change the free Wi-Fi in the hotel is really fast and reliable, the lighting in the rooms is just perfect, as well as the location of the power points. The variety of the food in the dining area is mind boggling, and the quality is impeccable. The facilities provided by the hotel are innumerable, although I had time only for my dose of exercise in the state of the art gym. It is the easiest thing to book all kinds of tours from the hotel.
All in all this is the ideal place to bring the kids for the vacation of a lifetime.

This place beat my expectations by far. With the nice facilities, clean rooms, restaurants onsite, friendly staff, and overall service from all, I'd highly recommend to others and would stay here again when visiting the Andaman. It was family friendly facility but still fun for any and all ages.

Side note, I had left my passport in my hotel room after my checkout to which I didn't notice until I had arrived at Phuket airport. The driver rushed it over to me just in time for me to board my flight back home. Made what would have been a poor end to my trip work out fine. Thank you! Highly recommend.

The hotel is clean, the rooms are wide, not uncomfortable, the pool is very big. The private beach of the hotel is calm. And able to snorkel and watch fish Coral Lovely staff Give me help and advice very well. There are many activities in the hotel. Delicious breakfast at every station.

It has everything you need at vacation. Private beach, kayaks for free, sit under umbrella and enjoy the scenic view of ocean waves!

5 swimming pools and separated based on your stay at the building inside resort. Everyday there will be something planned - Fire show, boxing etc.

We were lucky to see fire show and we were thrilled.

Best Marriott I've ever been to. 2 pools, private beach, private reef, multiple restaurants and massive rooms. Worth the vacation experience.

Nice hotel. Family friendly. Nice beach (when the tide is in, very rocky when out).
Because of its location there is a tendency to have to eat in the hotel. The prices are expensive. And WE found that as nice as the staff are. They lack organisations. The main breakfast buffet area is a battle ground near the egg station. The manager of this department should be ashamed. No queuing system. A free for all. So bad an experience we are ate there once during our 7 night stay. The rest of the time we are at the other breakfast venue.
Overall we liked this hotel. It is a distance from Phuket and the hotel offers a shuttle bus. But we're we to return. We would look at something closer to Phuket/Patong. Based on the options for food, drink and evening entertainment.

Away from the chaos but not to far away. They have great staff, great restaurants and the small shops around are awesome too !! We had the best time

Awesome location (5 min to any "must visit" places in Patong), best service, friendly staff that remembers your preferences from Day 1! Wrapped with an amazing view from your room window, delicious and exotic food in all 6 restaurants and joyful shows every evening!

Excellent stay, beautiful views, awesome food nothing more that you can ask for. The only challenge is travel to airport is around an hour.

Everything is amazing but I'd like to see them get rid of plastic straws to coincide with the Eco program they have to protect their beautiful reef. I saw hundreds of fish free diving includi g a spotted eel, two kinds of puffer fish, Angel and clown fish, parrot fish and so much more.
On the room ..mine was a bit musty from the humidity but very nice. On the ground floor I could hear the people above me walking. So the So I d issue will get you up early. That's ok because there's lots to do at the resort outside of the room including kids programs, beach walk and optional clean up with the staff biologist, a butterfly garden and tour, games and movies. Plus three pools, the spa and of course the private beach.

Very nice hotel, realy nice staff. Good restaurants. Clean and big room. Only a bitt disapointed because im here with my wife to cellabrate 20 year of marriage and they dont do much with it. But for the rest i can recomend it.

WOW this place has it all what a hotel just incredible swim up to bars tiki style huts massive rooms ect ect just get there you won't look back.

spent 9 nights at the Merlin our time there was excellent the hotel was very clean staff were very nice nothing was to much trouble the rooms were fantastic, cleaned and re stocked everyday.The restaurants were very reasonable and good menus. Loved it there we will return one day.

Lovely and entertaining designs of the pools, restaurants, very clean rooms, friendly and polite staffs. Stayed 7 days here and felt like home. The diving course was great as well with the professional instructor Daniel for my very first time! Would definitely love to come back again!

The place is beautiful, near Patong, but I was expecting something more from the 5-star hotel. The staff especially in bars was not always kind.

Our Family of 4 have just returned from an 8 day trip to Phuket and stayed at this wonderful resort 14 years after our first visit before having kids but this time for my 40th Birthday. Unfortunately our holiday didnt have with best start with my husband and son having an unfortunate accident while in the pool which resulted in an unexpected trip to Patong Hospital. The Resort Manager and all his staff went over and above to assist with helping us out in this crisis. But on a positive note we were able to continue our family holiday which didnt disapoint, from the free room upgrade, the awesome chefs who took our anaphylactic daughter under there wing to ensure she was comfortable with eating there foods, to the beautiful pools, spa treatment and entertainment. When we do return we will be definitely be coming back to the Marriott Resort and Spa Merlin Beach. P.S Thank you again (Nacho).

One of the best. hotels i have ever stayed at. All the staff are so friendly and helpful at the Merchant Kitchen .
Barbie is always willing to give a helping hand and advice, her smile lights up the room.
Neth our room (4315) service girl is so hard working and suprised us with her towel dog and elephant. She deserves a big $$$.
Rest of the staff and management are wonderful.

Lovely staff who were very attentive and the pools and restaurants are excellent. House keeping services did a great job and reception happily break 1000 notes.
I would suggest avoiding the morning yoga classes if the weather is poor. They hold it on the boxing ring with these nasty old dirty looking Reebok mats. The staff ask you to out a towel over them, but then you have no grip. The ceiling is dirty and rusted and the smell is awful. All in all it was super icky and I wish I hadn't gone. If the management staff of the hotel read this, please go and try a yoga class in there, I guarantee within 5 minutes you'll be thinking about alternative wet weather venues!!
