Great staff and a lovely camping, glamping, or lodge stay. Tons of activities for the kids, adults, and families. Amenities galore!
Best times to camp there is on the weekends that the raptor show is there!

I've been coming here for over a decade. I love this place. It's nestled in the coastal mountains with charming strolls and easy hiking trails all around you. The coast is within sight with perfect dunes. But I'm saddened to say that the facility is slipping on quality and customer service. The Lodge rooms are getting a bit worn with thin, uncomfortable pillows and meger amenities including no AC. The facilities (which include shared restrooms for cabin and tent occupants) are not monitored enough so all sorts of characters use them. On our visit last week, my young daughter and I were accompanied in the hot tub by three different people in their underwear-on separate occassions. Two of the individuals reported they weren't staying on site but came for the hot tub (which is supposed to be accessible only with room keys). Curious, why so much planning yet so little (and such thin) clothing! Staff did not intervene even in the most awkward of situations. So, although there is a playground and beautiful surroundings, the outdoor restrooms and hot tub may not always be child friendly.

We ate at the Cascade restaurant there. Service was extremely slow and there were few people in the restaurant, staff standing around talking, I waited for my food while my friends wondered whether to eat before theirs got cold. I went looking for a waitress, finally my lunch came. I had ordered zucchini tacos. Pitiful. Two very small tacos had little to make them interesting, a slice of zucchini about 3" long and not much else. The black beans were very bland until I went and found a waitress and got some salsa to give them some flavor. My lunch would have made a very small appetizer. Not wanting to complain in front of my friends, I called later to talk to the restaurant and the lady who I spoke with could not have cared less.

Very nice place for lunch. Along the coastal half Moon Bay, costona sits nestled in the trees not far from the coast. Had a nice cantina feel, bordering on upscale. A bit higher priced but the food was excellent and also locally sourced from nearby farms. It's better for smaller parties and also has an adjacent KOA (perhaps the nicest I've seen.)

Clean and bright accommodations in the tent bungalow I shared with two family members. We had an excellent sleep just across the road from beautiful Pacific beaches. This is a safe place for kids to play and for parents to relax.

Great location and cabin, horrendous customer service! Booked one price over the phone and was charged another at the counter, worst of all we were treated like "take it or leave it, we can just give your cabin to someone else ". No apologies, no courtesy.

Nice family friendly lodge and hiking/biking/activity hub. If you are looking for a perfect glamping experience with no kids or old people around look elsewhere. There is a hot tub but not a private one. The restaurant is excellent and the staff are friendly.

It is a lodge type campsite. Depending on the time, it seems like you can enjoy marine sports, but when you went to the beginning of November you did nothing. As T-mobile does not receive electric wave, it is careful.

Beautiful spot, but overpriced for what it is. The restaurant is disorganized, overpriced, and mismanaged. We paid $20 a plate for the breakfast buffet, waited 30 minutes for water. They ran out of plates, coffee cups, and coffee, so we had to wait 30 minutes for them to wash more plates and cups and then we had to wait for them to refill the coffee. There was only about 20 people at the restaurant.

Beds are good, rooms in the lodge are quiet. Bathrooms are a bit dated. They still use real keys!! Came for a professional development event and there was poor wifi & no cell coverage. Since they wanted us to focus in the event instead of working, the isolation was effective in that respect, but I would definitely download some videos ahead of time for offline viewing before arrival if I can with the family for some glamping.

Great venue!! Came here for a corporate retreat and the accommodations were very lovely. I attended a hike and the guide was very knowledgeable. Food was amazing!!! I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Unbeatable location & overall property. Our experience, based on multiple visits, is the service is bad. Wouldn t take much to make Costanoa a must visit destination. Still, it s a fun place to stay.

The first pic is view from tent cabin and second pic is one of several Comfort stations. Hope to add more (including pics) to my review later...I found out about Costanoa while searching for a KOA. Despite the verbal distinction amongst employees between the two..Costanoa tent cabins and their comfort stations are immedded throughout KOA..hard to see they are two seperate entites. We stayed in the Cypress cabins, very exciting new experience! The cabin smelled like an herbal heaven. We asked an employee how they keep the cabins smelling great...she did not speak English, so remains a mystery.

The campsite is in an amazing location and we really enjoyed our family time. The site has plenty to do with grassy areas to for the kids to play and ride bikes. The trails are also amazing down by the ocean. I would say the food is over priced, but I guess it's because it's the CA coast. We camped on the 4th of July weekend and the site was full and the atmosphere was electric with a communal area for games, play park and BBQ. The main negative for the weekend was that the price for a night in a posh 'tent' was $250. The adult cabin is fine and has electric blankets and bedding, but you have to bring bedding for the kids, either do all or nothing! The staffing in the restaurant was so low, the poor server was totally stressed out and serving 15-20 tables on her own. I'm sure that's a mgt issue. The food is very good but again very pricey for a campsite. The bathrooms were clean in the gents but my wife tells me the ladies were not up to par. Love the outdoor showers, but the locks didn't work, so makes it a bit awkward!
Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it to others, however I would warn them of the pricing and be prepared to spend a lot on food unless you take your own.

What a sweet spot for a weekend respite from the city. I loved staying in this perfectly situated tent/home directly upon the canyon. Clearly I lucked out with the best spot. The comfort station aka bath and shower was a short walk away and I must admit I loved the quiet stroll in the middle of the night. The towels and rob left in the tent were cozy and a lovely touch in addition to the down comforter on the queen size bed. While it does seem past time to upgrade the fairly old bed and stained sheets and give a good dusting to the bed frame it was a lovely stay!

I stayed here for a corporate event. I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is pleasantly green and hilly (though I didn't get a chance to explore the surroundings). My room was clean and had a comfortable bed. Don't expect your cell phone to have service. The WiFi was free, and worked well enough for me, though another guest said it didn't work in their room.

Beautiful location, but was disappointed with the lack of wifi an lack of descriptions when booking.... No bathrooms in cabins and some parts needed maintenance badly.... Also tried to go for a late evening hike to the ocean with my young daughters, but was turned back by a total of 6 different SKUNKS....

One of the finest California State Parks on the map. Gorgeous facilities, camping (or "glamping") is a great option, great restaurants if you want to eat out, the whole place is rustic yet elegant, fabulous get-a-way, supeb event space as well -

This was our second time camping here. It was great last time and this time! The staff is helpful and friendly. There is room to breathe between your camping neighbors. The view is Amazing! Yes you are about 25 minutes from Santa Cruz, but this place is great, low key and very affordable for RV camping on the California cost with full hook ups. There is another KOA in Watsonville which is 100% geared for children, packed in like sardines and about $30 more a night. We have stayed at both and we would much rather stay here.

The lodging was great and the staff was polite and professional. The dining was fantastic and the general store had plenty of goods, including an ample snack selection. The area itself is beautiful and a joy to walk around.

Well maintained lodgings and grounds. This is an excellent place for a get away. There were families as well as couples and singles and there was something for everyone. Explore the area or stay on the property - it depends on how adventurous you are.

Place was unsettling to use the best possible description. Lodge, tents (hard to call them glamping), cottages, spa, supposed high-end restaurant, then a KOA campground...not sure what they want or are trying to be. Restaurant is literally a bar trying to be a high end eatery and on one end you have a football game blaring on a screen and on the other a guitarist playing under a super bright light near exit stairs. Food was ok, at best, prices were just dumb for the quality and ambiance. Spa pricing was high enough that we would not risk being further annoyed. Rooms in the lodge were clean, rolling barn doors in bathrooms, which are a bad idea to start with, are so loud that when our neighbors got up to use the bathroom early AM, woke both my wife and I up from the rumbling on the tracks they are seated on. Wi-Fi was weak to say the least. Again, this place, as mentioned, was just unsettling. You want to be high-end be high-end and spend the money to charge the money, want to try and be everything to everyone, you end up as a 3 dressed up as a 9.

More than expected. You can rent anything from a tent site to a tiny house to a cabin type condo! Awesome amenities and when we arrived there was live music at the restaurant. We roasted mallows on the free wood stocked outdoor patio fireplace by the nice hot showers. Awesome experience.

Great little get away spot if you don't mind semi "rugging it". Cozy cottages that are clean but bring extra blankets in case the heating blanket doesn't work. Ours only worked on one side. Ugh.
Very family oriented and safe. Great lodge and according to reviews the spa is great too. Restaurant on site is good but perhaps a little overpriced for the service.
Pescadero is close by and a slew of beaches. Clean beaches. If you're into walks, cool clean air, clean bathrooms, and into exploring hit this spot up.

Lovely stop off when travelling Route 1. Stayed here three times, twice in the Bungalow Tents and once in The Lodge. The tents are great, with heated beds with outdoor hot tub close and a place to cook s'mores on the fire. The lodge is cosy, but staying there really defeats the purpose of going to Costanoa. Keep an eye out for the grumpy cat!

Excellent staff, very friendly. High priced food with mediocre quality. Pasta primavera: an abundance of vegetables, little pasta and little flavor. Cranberry juice: watered down and definitely a cranberry juice cocktail. Creme brulee with berries: this was the best part of the meal by far. The berries were fresh and the brulee tasty. Wouldn't come here again, great view bad prices.
