Incredible facility with options for everyone. Main lodge is great if you're looking for a more typical hotel experience; canvas tents are a nice middle ground between camping and a hotel, with access to a nice, shared shower, bathroom building; and there are a ton of camper spots with hookups.

We waited approximately an hour for a very simple breakfast to be prepared . It's hard to serve a chicken apple sausage that's not good but they've managed to find a brand that is fairly awful. The food arrived cold to lukewarm . Our wait person did say that they were extraordinarily busy and that this type of service was not a common experience .

I can't believe I've lived in the Bay Area for over 40 years and I didn't know about this place. We stayed in a tent cabin and it was amazing. Nicer than camping but simple. Restaurant, bar (with music) and shop on site and we hiked to the ocean. We WILL be back.

We had a great time and can't wait to come back. It was cold that night, but the tent and accommodations were surprisingly helpful. The tents have electricity and outlets. The beds not only had several comfy layers, but they also offered heated blankets too. The tent came with fluffy bath robes and toiletries. After eating at Cascades we decided to go to the hot tub. The bath robes kept us cozy on the way to the tub, where we had a beautiful dip under a starlit sky. So happy to have found this place online, hoping to bring family and friends for future local getaways.

Beautiful campground. Easily the most nicely manicured and maintained campground I've stayed in in decades. The staff was fantastic, the grounds and the amenities were lovely. Can't wait to stay again.

Loved the place - from the location to the facilities. Its a great get away for folks living in the bay area and provides lots to do. There are amazing beaches and mountains that you can walk or hike to. The tents are small but well made and equipped. We were there for a team off-site and they also organized activities for the group including a guided hike. The toilets are common but clean and also have sauna etc. Overall had an amazing time and will be going back for more.

Would be 5 if there was more space between the spots. Alot of nice features tent camping, rv camping, canvas tents, lodge, restaurant, play areas for kids, clean, pleasant staff. A 4 plus really but needs more room between campers in rv area.

Talk about a diamond in the rough. We originally found this place trying to find a bathroom after walking on the beach all day. What a gem. Absolutley wonderful food, staff, view and ambiance. Now a favorite spot of mine.

I stayed here one night in a canvas tent "cabin" with a friend on our way down the coast. The property was well kept, but mostly deserted during our stay. The bathrooms were clean, but there was only one shower stall inside and the dry sauna wasn't working during our visit. There were 3 outside showers, but with weather in the mid 60's it was a chilly affair. The tent was spacious, clean, and the electric blankets kept us warm all night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I'd recommend this place to a friend.

We had a great time at Costanoa. The tents come fully stocked with plugs, electric blankets, and a queen sized bed, and having all of these amenities while sleeping basically outside is a bizzare and awesome experience. The people are nice and the area is beautiful. Definitely recommend.

This site is absolutely beautiful. With just a walk away from the beach, it was nice to have the option of a hotel room, a tent cabin, or even my own tent. They have created an oasis available to all.

Such a beautiful place. You can hear the ocean waves rumble from your "bungalow tent" and the heated blankets are such a luxury for those chilly evenings. Plenty of little hikes, there's a playground for your dog, the outdoor eating area could be a venue for a wedding reception - I don't know if they do that here but it's that beautiful.

I was here for a work event, so I didn't spend time doing much of anything else. That said, the staff were great, both at the lodge and at the restaurant. The food was delicious, and the room was comfortable. I definitely would recommend this. Some of my co-workers and I commented on how it could be fun to come back just for the resort some day.

From camping to tent cabins (with heated blankets) to hotel rooms, Costanoa gives you plenty of overnight options.

Un/fortunately, it's is getting better known and the prices seem to be going up.

Tranquil, beautiful. There are gorgeous trees here and the landscaping is very well done with a variety of colorful flowers. I liked being woken up to the sound of birds chirping. The room was simple and sufficient and the grounds are large. Highly recommended. The WiFi is free but unreliable. The Cascade restaurant was 4/5.

We were really excited about visiting this place, researched and booked it months in advance. Unfortunately, the cabin we rented was ill-equipped for (5 people- 4 adults, 1 teen), even though we called to ask about specific amenities beforehand. On arrival we had half a roll of toilet paper, 2 plates, 4 small bowls, 5 cups and a few glasses, and not enough bedding for all to sleep comfortably. Luckily we brought our own, so used that. The location and grounds are breathtaking and I recommend visiting the area. But don't waste your money on staying in an RV spot or cabin, people are packed in way too close to one another, especially given the current pandemic and very few people were wearing masks even though the site asks that you do. Recommend tent camping, much more open space and privacy or the hard covered tents, both are cheaper accommodations and offer more privacy. I mentioned all of this upon check out with the person on staff and was given the reply, "oh that's too bad". A less than professional response and sub par accommodations for the extraordinary price. I understand that businesses are hurting given all that's happened this year but this was a huge disappointment regardless.

This place is beautiful. The grounds are very clean and well kept. We stayed inside the main lodge rooms and they were nice enough. Just remember, it's not a Marriott!

I did include a picture of one of their tents, if that is more your speed!

We were late booking and could not get a cabin nor a room in the lodge, so we reserved two nights in a tent cabin. We did not stay for the second night, sacrificing the $ 145 that we had paid. The night noise created by other people is simply too much for sleeping uninterrupted.

The food is ok though expensive; however, they do have to truck it a long distance and I would guess that they have to pay well to get help. When we're that far from larger supply centers, we expect to pay more, and did. I'm not complaining, just commenting

It was clean and "neat", and the trails behind the lodge are ok, though littered with a lot of dog poop. I expected the deer skat and other animals, but it would be nice if people picked up after their pets. Costnoa could do a better job of posting signs to remind people to pick up after their pets and they could provide the dog poop bags.

It's a great location for access to the beach and the general ambiance of the Pacific Coast. We used it as a base for hiking and biking and for that, it worked well. It's a great location for the RV's where I would guess it is quieter and they seem to follow a good neighbor code generally. It's a great place to take the little kids for camping closely to others. It's way overpriced for the tent cabins, and if you want to sleep, no price would work.

The showers were warmish, not warm, nor hot, so plan accordingly. I tend to agree with the "warmish" policy as it will prevent people from wasting a lot of water while taking long, hot showers. Most importantly, they were clean and maintained.

The staff is good throughout.

This place is amazing , with tent camping , RV, cabin and even tents cottages with electric blankets and internet. The bathrooms were absolutly spotless and there is even sauna. The restaurant is really good and the general store has snacks , cheese , wine and a lot of unique things. Just a really great place.

Stayed here for a second time, but left dissappointed. 3 of the 4 electric blankets did not work and one of the entire bathroom/shower buildings was locked one morning. It wasn't until later in the day they posted out of order signs. That left 1 shower and 3 stalls for a LOT of people. I think the place needs a little TLC.

One of the most amazing places I have visited. The cabins are great! Perfect for a romantic, relaxing weekend for two, or for the whole family. There are bathrooms, showers indoor & outside, outlets for all your needs. Lots of activities for the kids, hiking trails, plus its right along the ocean coast. There is a restaurant on the resort with the most amazing food. This place is perfect and would recommend it to anybody.

Really enjoyed our stay here in one of the tent cabins. Rustic and welcoming, not overdone or too fancy. Great restaurant, the shared comfort station bathrooms and showers we're claen and we'll maintained. Wish the hot tub was open past 10pm.
Great location as a home base for exploring the coast by foot or bike.

A lovely coastal location with just enough luxury on offer to make you feel pampered but also a good time of camping and RV options.

Just remember that the cost can get a bit cooler / foggier than inland. Especially in the morning.

Incredible place and fantastic peace of mind. Everything was impeccable and quietly. You wake up in the morning and step outside your tent to be delighted by nature sound. There are many options of hikes around the property and the beach. You can can pick berries in nearby farms that was fun to do too.

Our view of the hills was simply breathtaking. The bed was absurdly comfortable, and the hot tub and outdoor fire places gave us all the entertainment we needed. The only downside was the wifi in our room was very spotty, and kept dropping out, but we were anticipating a rustic retreat, and a lack of internet did not diminish our enjoyment in the least. We are planning on returning to one of the cabins, as they all appeared to have porch swings and wood burning stoves, which are the two most romantic items known to man.

The grounds are very well kept not one spec of garbage anywhere. The other campers and staff were very friendly to us. There are showers and spas available to all campers and it's only a 15 minute walk to the beach

Beautiful location on the Californian Pacific Coast. Costanoa has a range of accommodation options for all budgets. The top end rooms are very comfortable with gas fireplaces, jacuzzis and scenic views. The restaurant is also very nice.

This is one of my favorite RV parks within a couple hours of the Bay Area that takes all types of travelers and their equipment.

It has views of the ocean, in some spots it's right outside of your camper window. There is space between the RV slots so you're not right on top of your neighbor. They offer three areas (priced seperetly and with different RV/space densities) with back in and pull through parking. I recommend the back-in as I find them the nicest locations.

The spots offer 30 and 50 amp power, full hookups and cable TV connections. They also come with a picnic table and fire box.

There are limitations. You can't light fires outside of the fire boxes and you can't setup a tent except for on some designated tent platforms if you are not in the tent camping area (which is in a different location).

Dogs are allowed on leash but the state land and beach is a protected habitat so you can't leave the grounds for a walk, you have to drive North or South along the coast to find dog friendly beaches.

The RV and campgrounds offer two comfort stations. These have clean bathrooms and showers as well as a community area with fireplace and chairs for hanging out. The comfort stations near the tent camping also has washing machines for clothes.

One of the things I really like about this place is how they enforce quiet time. That's a big one for me.

If you check the schedule they have planned activities for families for children as well.

The site also has a lodge, which I've not tried so I can't review. A small store for some basic items but mostly sweets and nicknacks, and a fancyish restaurant called the Cascades that I'll review seperetly.

Things you should be aware of: there is no cell reception and the Wifi is unreliable.

All in all it's not a cheap stay but we love it anyway.

way overpriced. nothing really that great beyond just going to a standard campground. yes bathrooms are a bit nicer than normal campground and there are saunas (not really a requirement for us). We showed up and expected the cabins to look like they do on the website. Instead, the kids cabin just had mattresses - no sheets, blankets or anything. They charged $15 per bed for that. The kids ended up coming into my cabin at 10pm because they were freezing. Staff's response to this was that "it gets cold sometimes". a decent one time experience but probably won't go back.
