I attended a work event here. The location is great and I have no complaints about the lodging or facilities. The catered food and dinners from the restaurant were excellent.

The view is amazing, the food is super awesome but the bed in the hotel is not very clean and the mattress is kind of distorted.
Awful experience the service here is poor with all the staff being very rude, along with awful internet connection, the "communal restrooms" are disgusting and everything is overpriced.
Beautiful place to get away from the city and to have some peaceful time. A+ Food and service. 5 mins from the closest park. Outstanding cabins, clean and with it's very own chimney and view to the forest. Costanoa does offer free wifi. Book ahead of time.
Stupid expensive, bathroom needed major remodeling, shower fixture was easily 20yrs old and didn't work right, tub wouldn't drain, corrioson in the sink basin, no tv, wifi wouldn't allow any downloading, restaurant charged 5 star prices while food and service was at best 3 star. So so unimpressed. Designed to be some weird get away from it all for rich San Francisco residents. It was far from it. Just kinda pointless. Only ended up here because the nearest hotel screwed up my reservation and this was the closest place. Can't begin to say how over priced and over hyped this dated, loud (thin walls!), place is
We stopped by here to have something to eat. The food was delicious and the place was amazing, like its a good place to get away from the busy city life and enjoy the nature around you.
Had a team off site here. Beautiful scene and remote location.
I've been a regular visitor for 11 years. It's simply the best.
I'm always transported into tranquility, from the moment I turn off Hwy1 and into the eucalyptus driveway, relaxation and rejuvenation awaits.
The ocean breeze, the food grown fresh on site, the spa, the staff, the comfort stations, the bar; there is no place like it.
Just imagine the jacuzzi under the clear coastal sky.... ahhhhh
We didn't stay here, but stopped by to Check it out. What a beautiful location! The facilities look great, but we're waiting for the new 'cabins' to arrive.
This place is awesome!! Want to go to the restaurant there very soon!! The camp ground looks awesome and the people are very nice there!
Camp site with cell/wifi connections that are useless.
Very nice place. Nice location. Rustic yet elegant. restaurant was very good.
Stayed in Lodge View Premium Room with a View. Room was nice but not worth $300. Fire place didnt work and staff at front desk not accommodating. They were rude and if you needed anything they blatantly said: "We dont do that." The shared Hot Tub area is very small, one hot tub and claustrophobic. If you have to stay here please dont waste your money on the lodge rooms. The tented cabins are comparable.
Beautiful rustic elegance. From tent camping all the way up to a fancy lodge experience, this place has a variety of options. Their spa is wonderful and who doesn't love a great hot tub!!
Really enjoyed glamping here in a cabin with a group of friends.
Gorgeous setting, exceptional front desk service and nice dog walk area A+++
Real nice Costanoa. 300 a night for the tent, 3 bucks for a cup of coffee and no free refill. Even the Ritz didn't charge for a second cup.
Fourth time in 10 years 2nd time in lodge 1time in KOA one time in cabins.this last trip in 1st week of June was good ..not at all crowded..everyone very nice..grounds very clean..brochure states wifi in lodge but only in lobby not in rooms all other hotspots very weak...no phone service (I have verizon)and no TV in rooms or radio...so bring your own entertainment and be ready for high $ on everything...all in all it was fun & relaxing ...enjoy!!
Such a great hidden gem of a place. Peaceful, cozy, spacious, lots to do. Outdoor hot tub, spa/massages (massage was incredible!), lifesize outdoor Chess game, nice restaurant/bar, plenty of trails and beach nearby. Great little gift shop. Looks like a nice place for retreats and off site meetings/conferences. I love that you can camp, RV, stay in little tent cabins or in a nice lodge. Lots of options if you want to camp and rough it all the way to nice and very comfortable with plush bathrobes and spa. Coast and mountains. Cant wait to go back.
Sweet tent cabins. Beautiful location. Very relaxing, tents were much quieter than expected. Pay attention to what is included with the different accommodations. We did and we got exactly what we expected.
Went for a wedding it was very nice. I don't know if the food was catered by costanoa but it was very good. Also you can walk down over dunes to the beach. I did. It's enchantingly beautiful. Also I had yummy pie. You can camp there but you'll probably need to bring your own pie. Have a nice day.
Great to spend a day or two. Tent cabins are a lot of fun.
Stayed at Costanoa for the night and it was beautiful! Gorgeous setting, easy to walk the grounds or hike more in the area, and convenient to camp and pack in food. We did end up eating at the restaurant for dinner, which was wonderful! Such a nice surprise to have an excellent meal at a nearly deserted restaurant. I can't wait to come back. It was quiet, and I slept great.
Fantastic place just off the 1 near Pescadero. Stayed in a cabin/tent and it was great. Food was also very good and had excellent time. Highly recommended I'd love to come back with famy and kids asap.
The perfect pandemic vacation. Everything is outside so you feel very safe when around people. Two restaurants onsite so you don t have to bring food. Fire pits for s mores. WiFi is spotty but didn t bother us since went on vacation disconnect from the real world. The coastline/ woods are beautiful, making this place the perfect getaway for the crazy world we are currently living in.
Good beach access, good tent spots, nice amenities.
I went there for a professional event for a couple days. I spent a lot of time looked up in rooms, so take this with a grain of salt. The atmosphere (outdoors) was very relaxing and calm. Definitely felt good to be in nature and away from the busyness of life. The internet is spotty, so that more or less forces you to disconnect, which is probably good. The food at the restaurant was not bad. I didn't pay for it so I'm not sure if it was worth the price or not. I wouldn't say it was *clearly* better than typical restaurant food. Rooms were clean, good size, and the bed was comfy. Nothing remarkable, but nothing bad.
I feel the perks should be better for 200+ a night. Even in Santorini a 2 bottles of water were there for you.
Nice spacious room with tall ceilings. King sized bed was comfy and warm.
Breakfast was delicious. Overall, pleasantly surprised. Will definitely revisit.
Had a fun, relaxed work event. Staff lead, 3-mile hike to the coast was pleasant. Food service kept running behind schedule and flavors were lackluster.
The lodge rooms are amazing. Simple and elegant with beautiful views. Wonderful campground and facilities overall.
Beautiful, blissful, child friendly, and dog friendly. Awesome garden, close to Ocean,.
I was a bit disappointed and frustrated by the interaction with the front desk. They seem disorganized. The camp ground was just a small open field. There's literally nothing between tents. Also camp fire is only allowed in certain designated areas. Spots are limited; sometimes you'll need to wait for your turn. Bathroom and shower could use some update and maintenance. Don't think I'll ever go back again.
EDIT: If you're looking for a glamping experience, Mendocino Grove is way better.
We stayed in a tent cabin. The bedding was nice and kept us warm and cozy at night. The bathrooms were very nice and the paths were well lit to get there at night. The grounds are very nice and the staff in the restaurant were great.
Fabulous rv resort with tons of great activities and pleasant staff and surroundings.
Camping registration receptionist OLD LADY is the most arrogant, disrespectful and ignorant person that Will ruin your stay.consider this a warning..
Ocean views. Great restaurant and camps. From tents, tiny houses RV. Allow dogs. Walk to beach. Not dog friendly Clean bathrooms and grounds!! 68 temp and beautiful. Family gathering place. Walking areas. The best of everything!!
Its beautiful here! I love it! It gets warm in the afternoons, but cools down at night. And you never know what you'll find here!
Very expensive !!!! The most expensive we have encountered on our 24 days in America. We also drove on to another campground
Great quit close to the beach. And surrounded by nature.
Great place for "Glamping"! Plenty of options from Rustic Lodge hotel accommodations to tent camping. We've done it all here and you can't go wrong. There are 2 restaurants on site or you can BYO. Camp fires are limited, but we've never had trouble getting a BBQ or spots at the fire pit. Even when it's crowded, it doesn't seem crowded. Do check the packing list and your specific accommodations for dos, don'ts and suggestions. Enjoy!
Great spot for a quick getaway. Trails, horses, beautiful beaches, a lighthouse. We will be back!
Had a terrible customer service experience. Front desk was unhelpful and impatient; event staff would not return calls. Would not recommend the lodge for corporate events, as their record keeping is too careless to be expensed properly.
We were at Costanoa for a company off-site. We stayed in the cabins as well as the suite rooms. The rooms were very clean, and the linen was fresh. The bathrooms attached to the suites and the comfort centers were clean; water pressure was good, and the water temperature was good. The location is pretty wonderful. Both days we were on site were slightly cloudy with a light breeze. Most of us needed jackets at night but were otherwise comfortable. Hiking around Costanoa was pleasant without being too grueling; lots of poison oak but that's standard for this area. Watch out for ticks and mosquitos. One trail led us around the ocean bluffs and another up the hill and through some California foliage. The general store carries beer, so we enjoyed that along with the full bar at the restaurant (Cascade?). The food was not special but was good. Everyone was super nice (even when we were causing noise complaints -- quiet hours are from 22:00 to 09:00) and informative.
I stayed in room 203 in the lodge for a corporate event. It's an enormous bed, big room, etc, but some aspects of the room were inexplicable. Primarily, the curtains are not light-blocking, and there is a skylight with no curtaining at all. I was quite glad that I could fashion an eye mask out of a t-shirt. Others in my group who got rooms on the first floor said they had thick curtains, so maybe that's something to request.
Other baffling things: the bedside lamp was brighter than all the other lamps in the room -- in no way would it have been possible to discreetly read with that bedside lamp on. The tub was clogged when I arrived; luckily someone on staff was around to come remove some hair. The door to the balcony wouldn't open the first night.
Catering was caloric and quite ok -- one thing worth noting are the fruit platters at breakfast, which are a step above non-Californian fruit platters.
The facility and grounds are nice, but the restaurant services and check in was not up to par. We stayed there on two separate occasions and both times the hot time was not working properly, and our service at the restaurant/bar was very poor. Our first night at check in, the receptionist did not give us any information, but just handed us our keys. I asked for a map and she gave me one, but no explanation of where our room/tent was, or anything else. Food quality was ok, but did not match the prices. I would suggested eating elsewhere.
A very nice, very well maintained campground. Many facilities, very friendly staff. The nice woman at the registration office even helped me with a small injury I had on my wrist. So sweet. I would definitely come here again.
Great spot to get away! Loved the canvas tents and the bathrooms are nice and clean. Must try the outdoor shower!
Expensive restaurant, basic comfortable room. Little counter space in bathroom.
Rooms are nice and modern. Bathrooms are clean. A bit further from the ocean than I would have liked. Staff is friendly and the grounds are kept excellent. Great place to camp.
I was driving by to show friends their accommodations and to grab a bite at their restaurant but there was a rude security guard who stopped us. He asked what we were there for and I replied to see the accommodations. He said it was "private property" and made us turn around.
I have been here many times in the past and there was never a security guard keeping you from entering the parking lot. They have lost my business and that of my family and friends until they change their hospitality manners. So Rude!!!
An amazing little camp grounds with a nice hike and restaurant.
Coastanoa is lovely. The people who run the facility are top notch! We keep coming back. You will too.
Very polite and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.
Great place to stay. Weekends full of screaming children.
Myself and my family went for the weekend of may 31th-june 2nd.The cabin was really nice was a little smaller then what i expected but we had a really nice time really peaceful out there. NO PHONE SERVICE which ended up being really nice...
Hidden Gem. Amazing camping and tent cabins. Good food and drinks with an amazing atmosphere.
Everything was good except that there's no cab service nearby so always good to drive.
Had lunch at the Cascade. The food was ok, maybe a bit overpriced. We had an order of the fish and chips, and a grilled cheese. The reason for the lower review was.the service. It's slow. Expect to spend some time here waiting to place an order and to receive your meal.
Wonderful place, devine campgrounds, clean showers & restroom facilities.. many activities.. lovely helpful staff.. 2 restaurants, horse stables, recreation center for children. Quiet family friendly campgrounds
Great views, totally relaxed. Reasonably clean for glamping
Best experience of our entire trip. We went to Universal studios and come back through San Fransisco and stayed here on the way. We will be coming back just to stay here. By the ocean. Lots of trails and absolutely beautiful including amazing location, view and super friendly.
Sauna was amazing, well kept, nice bathrooms, good trails, overall great.
I stayed at this beautiful property with my son for an overnight getaway. We explored the town of Pescadero and enjoyed touring the goat farm. Eating at the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner was delicious and the service was first rate. We had live guitar music during dinner which was an unexpected pleasure. The only thing that could have been better was that the dining room was freezing cold. Our room in the lodge was very clean, comfortable and cozy. It had a fireplace and patio with chairs and a nice view. Costanoa has a fabulous gift shop!!! Tons of snacks, wine, toys for the kids, gifts . . . I have been to a lot of resort gift shops and this one is the bomb. i would definitely return during the summer and try out the glamping in a tent. And maybe try riding a horse there too! Thumbs up.
Nice to play to stay. The place was very beautiful and staffs were really responsive.
Gorgeous location and great grounds. The staff did a great job hostingg us. The food was very good and our group had plenty of room.
Great KOA and resort. Friendly staff, and great location. It was the dry time of the year so the grounds were kind of barron. I'm sure it will be green again as the rains move in. Great resort and it is well run.
Stayed in the tent bungalows. Very nice scenery. Tents are a bit crowded. Somebody decided to plug a heater in their tent and blew out the electricity and we got very cold after that since heating blankets no longer worked. Bring extra blankets and pillows.
Check in and found the activity and hot tub are not available to everyone!
The site appears to be just a glorified campground!!
Pretty disappointed for sure!!
comfy and casual. Outdoor experiance, indoor amenities.
Got a coupon for Bike to Work day (Chinook book). 2 massages plus hiking, sauna, and hot tub. Had to make an appointment. worker said pick type of massage (he did not indicate that there would be an "upgrade fee". Get there, receive massage, mine was good my wife's was mediocre and the lady stressed her out about a tip the whole time! Next we take a hike then return for sauna. get to sauna--no locker, no towels and they are located quite far from main building and parking lot. go to reception to inquire how to use sauna/where to put clothes, he says just put them outside or you can use the lockers in the main building--in other words the staff has no clue on what we were supposed to do with our clothes etc. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! STAY AWAY
