Great for "Glamping" or a cabin weekend. We booked a Tent that featured a very comfortable Queen bed, very nice linens, an electric heated blanket and a couple of comforters (It gets cold a night) located inside the CYPRESS GROVE, which grants additional amenities and hot tube access, that the regular tents do not offer.
The communal bathroom has great outside showers, and they were clean and very well maintained.
The restaurant was excellent for dinner. We did not have a reservation but were able to get a table for late dinner. The food was good and the prices were average (I read some reviews complaining about high prices; I guess those were written by customers that are not familiar with California prices...).
Breakfast was a little disappointing because the service was extremely slow (Sunday 11/3/2019). It was obvious they were short of staff (1 waiter and 2 assistants for the whole dining room) and they just couldn't keep up. Management should improve that ASAP!
We did a 3 miles hike to the beach and bluff nearby. Beautiful views!
We also rode our bikes to Pescadero, had a snack at the Bakery, and rode back (22 miles round trip). Easy ride and very pleasant!
I will comeback! This place is good for families with kids or just couples that would like to disconnect, enjoy the California's Coastal scene with nice and affordable acomodations .

This is such a gorgeous property! We stayed in the lodge and ate at the Cascade restaurant, which was delicious. When we went it was so cold outside that the guests in tents were asking for rooms in the lodge. Pescadero was a cute town to explore too!

I m a wedding coordinator who had a wedding at Costanoa Lodge and Resort. If you like a natural outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, this is a very affordable place. Plus, highly recommend the catering services. Their food is delicious! All of our guests, including bride and groom were impressed with the food and service. Highly recommend!!!

The tent cabins are a great value. We loved snuggling under the heated blanket! The breakfast buffet at Cascade provided us with the perfect fuel for an awesome hike in Butano State Park. We will be back!

Peaceful, clean, relaxing environment. Staff is very friendly and professional. Perfect getaway from that daily hustle. Very welcoming morning dew! Ready to go back for another refresher!

The RV camping was really good and our spot was very level. The hookups were well maintained. However 3 of the 4 RV loops have RV spaces right on top of each other which makes it super crowded and I hate that.
There is essentially NO wifi. I had to walk around all over the grounds to even try and get a signal and I found a couple of spots where I got two or three bars of wifi, where I could at least get a text out and use my Wi-Fi calling to check in at home. There is pretty much also NO cell service in that area. I even asked multiple employees about the Wi-Fi and they all said the same thing, yeah good luck with that. For paying $120 a night for my RV, by far the most expensive place I've ever camped, they could upgrade this.

I used the spa and it was just okay nothing special and overpriced.

I dined at the restaurant and the service was absolutely horrible, two servers for the entire restaurant, the food was served lukewarm but it tasted okay.

They have another kind of cool area called the Pine Grill where you could get breakfast items, pizza, chicken wings and some bar items, they had a band one afternoon which was really good but it sucked because it wasn't open on Sunday night for dinner and that was a night that we would have rather had pizza then going there over priced restaurant and get terrible service.
The grounds were well-maintained and they had Security on site the Tent cabins looked nice but some of the other rental cabins look pretty run down needed to be repainted or stained.

I didn't get a look in the hotel but it did look pretty clean there's also a ton of kids around and a great family place and very quiet at night. I would have given it for Stars but the Wi-Fi thing just killed it not that I want to be bothered by the phone but in case of emergency that is just something they could spend a few hundred dollars to upgrade.

Costanoa is a perfect family get away. Whenever we go 98% of the people have kids. They offer tents, tent cabins (glamping), cabins, or resort rooms in the lodge. You can get a massage, dine at the restaurant, go to the general store, play a giant game of chess, hike down to the ocean or let the kids play on the playground. They even have kids activities you can sign your older kids up for (6yrs plus) like horse back riding, nature walks or tie dye projects. There are so many things packed in a cozy, well laid out spot that it would take a long time to list them out. We've gone here every year since our daughter was born. It's our favorite spot!

Great spaces, very clean, wifi, awesome little general store and a restaurant. Near the beach and 20 miles to the nearest town. Great place for a family. Also a sauna and day spa with massage~ couples prices. Love love this place!!#

We love going here. Love the bungalows. Front desk has exceptional customer service. Always nice. Great place to be. However, I will say , that the restaurant there that is supposed to be a 4 star restaurant has exceptionally BAD service. Waited 20 minutes to get seated when no one was there. They served us warm water and then never came back to take our order. We left that restaurant and went to the Bar they have on site and were treated like VIP's there....

I had breakfast here at the dining hall. Very bad. The food portions were tiny. And the food quality was poor. Do not recommend eating here. The dinning hall looks nice but the food prices is too expensive for the poor quality.

Amenities and hikes were wonderful. Food options could be a tad bit more diversified but the food that I did have was great. The staff and the community that are here are fantastic and I would love to come again when the opportunity arises

Great location and environment! However, the resort advertises that they have Wifi, and while they do have a Wifi *signal*, their connection to the internet is totally *unusable*. They're also in the middle of a huge cellular dead zone, so if you stay here you'll be incommunicado for the duration--no cell, no internet. If you just want to enjoy nature and your companions, that may not be a problem... but if you need connectivity for *anything*, I recommend you stay elsewhere.

The staff is the most rude people I have seen at a KOA. They have a security guard with an English accent that thinks he's a police officer. From the second we drove in he was rude , arrogant and authoritative and made our stay horrible. I would highly recommend driving into Half Moon Bay and avoiding this place- it is not worth the cost to be treated so badly. The only thing I could think of is that we have Arizona plates and maybe that does not go over too well here.

On the last day of your trip they had sewage problems on our row. They actually had the gall to try to charge the four campers on that row $350 fines when we done nothing wrong. We had found out that this problem has been going on for months with their leaking sewage.

Honestly didn't know what to expect but this place really is nice. Friendly staff and nice accommodations.

The lodge is not far from Gazos Creek beach which is great for watching the sunset.

If this is your first time in the area, be sure to eat at Duarte's Tavern in nearby Pescadero.

Had lunch at the lodge, water was undrinkable so much chlorine. Asked for a turkey sandwich with NO bacon. Got half with bacon, and my husband got no bacon.

I was here 3 time already and still like it. In the middle of the nature it is a perfect place to recharge batteries and deconnect! The staff is friendly and helpful, too. Don't forget to bring warm clothes if your staying in one of the small huts. One recommendation: Sauna should be warmer. Besides that: Recommendation.

We have stayed at this KOA many times previously..last time about a year ago. Something has changed....camp staff at check-in went out of their way to make sure that we were aware of all the rules and became rather hung up on exactly what sort of breeds were in our mut dog. "Security" jacketed personnel drove golf carts around fairly frequently..all day. If the camp staff is this concerned about security then perhaps not a place we'll return to. Towed via motorhome cars issues a plastic laminated placard...I wonder if there is new ownership. Will stay at another nearby KOA next time. Too bad...this really used to be a comfortable place. To the camp credit though...good live entertainment , decent outdoor restaurant and adult beverages....

I did NOT LIKE this hotel. The bath water was yellow.WHEN I DIPPED MY FEET IN AND THEN TOOK THEM OUT OF THE BATH THEY STUNG AND STUNG FOR HOURS!!! There were hillbillies in the hot tub stretching and taking up all of the room! I HAD TO SHARE THE HOT TUB WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT TAKEN A SHOWER IN WHO KNOWS WHEN. NO SECURITY! TRANSIENTS LOOKING THROUGH THE SLIDING DOOR. NO WINDOWS. FLOORS ARE FILTHY!!!!50.00 DOLLAR HAMBURGERS. NO WORST HOTEL EVER!!! T.VS!!!! THEY GAVE AN ELDERLY COUPLE A "SPECIAL RATE" WHICH IS MORE THEN THE REGULAR. NO FOOD!!! BATH TUB DOESN'T DRAIN!!!! NO CELL SERVICE!!!! THIS HOTEL IS HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Amazing experience. We stayed in a tent and it was so relaxing and inviting. The heated blankets were fantastic and helped to make it snugly and warm. Staff was attentive and friendly. Thank you for a great two days!!

Beautiful, breathtaking scenery at this romantic getaway location. Plenty of adultness space - hot tub and dry sauna. Great destination restaurant let's you relax, unwind, and get loose without needing to drive 20+ minutes to eat. But do go to the Whale Bakery & Cafe for Breakfast (20 mins South.) we stayed in the main lodge. Nice comfortable room and bed. Nice fireplace quickly warmed the place. Outside deck with fantastic views of coastside hills. Big soaker tub. Nice reception. OK, very nice and glad we came. Some room for improvement: no TV is ok, but the wifi is incredibly weak. Feels like the guy in the movie 72 Hours holding your phone still to try and get a signal. They could afford to install a few more access points. And no T-Mobile cell coverage south of HMB. The tub water was a bit tinged. And as it's a campground too, plenty of room for kids to roam. Could be a fun family weekend. We'll be back for sure. Thanks for the lovely anniversary weekend.
