Community tax was able to complete my tax returns perfectly (personal and C Corp) and answer all of my questions; and I definitely had a lot of questions) so I appreciated their patience. Last year I found myself approaching the tax filing date with several years of unfiled returns, unpaid taxes, and many Certified Letters from the IRS. I reached out to Community Tax and am so glad I took that action. If you think you can negotiate on your own behalf, take a minute to think it through. First of all, you have to contact the IRS. On a good day, you will probably stay on hold for 45 minutes plus. Then, when you finally get someone with whom to talk, you will probably find that they are not particularly understanding of your situation. I could not submit myself to going through that kind of angst.
Upon contacting Community Tax, I immediately found an advocate. No judgement, just let me help you. Not only did they complete and file my returns, they negotiated a payment plan that would allow me to continue to pay my bills and have money left over for day to day expenses.

I am so happy with the service of Community Tax. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

My parents reached out to Community Tax "relief" in efforts to settle their debts to the IRS after experiencing extreme hardships. I am unsure how they managed to receive a five star rating based off our experience. We have had problem after problem with them since we contacted them almost a year ago. I don't see any progress being made and they charged us $3000 and then claimed the charge was for them to "investigate" rather than to assist with resolving the issue. There seems to be a tremendous lack of communication within the company because every time we hear from someone new they have no idea what year they are even working on. We were assigned a point person that we have had little to no contact with throughout the headache of a process. I feel terrible for ever recommending them to my parents and I would warn everyone you know not to waste their time and money. I think 'Community Tax Distress' is a much more suitable name. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

Community tax was the answer to one of our most depressing problems. Although we knew we were responsible for our outstanding tax debt, we did not know how we were going to pay such a large amount of money. One call to Community Tax, and they stepped right in. We did not have to deal with the IRS ourselves anymore. They protected us from any possible extreme collection methods. In the end, I should have done more research on my situation, but they were happy to take my money anyways. Thought my situation fit into "tax-relief" circumstances, but no. I just needed to file missing tax returns... And could have gotten that done for a lot less than $275 per year (in addition to the $250 investigation phase fee)!!! The communication was poor. Was assigned an agent or middle man who had very little knowledge of my case or tax protocols in general. The person who prepared my taxes I was unable to speak with. Due to terrible communication and their lack of awareness, my taxes were mailed (at least I hope they were) and now the IRS owes me refunds which will be delayed for months due to the pandemic. IRS delays are not their fault, but they made it seem as if mailing them was a good idea. My assigned representative had no idea the IRS was shut down in January. They got my money, which I knew was too much, and then made me feel as if I was bothering them. The saying- "Good service ain't cheap and cheap service ain't good" Does not apply here. Absolutely could have found better. Now I am trying to contact them to ask a few questions, but will not return my calls. I would advise anyone to get a second opinion, or find a service who is local. Chances are you can find cheaper, and hard to believe someone could be even more aloof once they got your money than they are. They got their A-team on the take your money phase, once they got that part taken care of you're basically on your own.

I used Community Tax to assist me with my tax issues. They were incredibly helpful, patient, and informational and allowed me to resolve my entire issue in an incredibly satisfactory outcome for both myself and the IRS. I highly recommend them.

When filing my 2019 taxes with my usual accountant I had an issue when he came down with a bad case of covid and was in the hospital. I scrambled to find someone who could help. There was no benefit at all by going with Community Tax. I expected them to negotiate some fees down but it looks like I would have gotten the same results by calling the IRS myself.

I want to commend & recommend an excellent company in Community Tax from Chicago Illinois. My story is quite lengthy, so I will give you the paraphrased version. I reentered society in 2013 after 12 years of poor choices, and irresponsible living. I would not have been able to make this transition without Community Tax. Being broken, and facing numerous consequences of my past, my tax consequences is one area that required lots of help. It was a 3-year process that recently finally came to an agreeable conclusion. Community Tax was on the case from the beginning, protecting me, standing in the gap with my power of attorney, and informing me along the way. I was calling to resolve a situation with the irs however, the poor service from Nick didn't have me feel comfortable and I was really bothered . I will call an agency that is pleasant and happy to assist clients not like this guy

When I got caught in the healthcare/tax credit penalty in 2017 to the tune of $9,300 I was at a loss. I researched Community Tax, LLC as much as one can and decided to take the gamble to hire them for help. It was a long process but they kept me in the loop.
