Climatech Mechanical Services - Heating & Air Conditioning Review

I purchased a foreclosed home that was sitting for over 4 years, I needed to get the gas turned back on so that I can have heat and hot water. I heard about Climatech who then came out assessed the issues I had with my heating system, was able to turn on the gas and also was able to find and fix the leaks that I had in my system. No doubt they are professionals, respectful, clean, and well known for what they do best. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The reviews of Climatech on Google are valid reviews. I was not sure who to hire for my tenant's A/C issue as I haven't lived in CT in over 6 years and it seemed like the last couple of businesses all went out of business or at least won't answer their phones! After hiring Climatech, I found them very easy and comfortable to deal with - even with my location overseas and unable to directly deal with the technician. Should the need arise to use them with any of my other commercial or residential properties I will not hesitate to call them, nor should you!

They repaired my hot water heater today, and I thought it was going to have to replace it. So everything went great and a quick about it and fair on price and it sounds like I got a few more years to go

My central AC unit went out on a hot steamy day in July. I explained that the person sharing my home had recently had a hospital stay and needed the AC. The technician came the following day and serviced the unit. He kept me informed all along the way as to cost and what he was replacing and fixing. The technician was professional and kind to two elderly customers! I was beyond satisfied with the service from Climatech and everyone from those fielding the calls, the person scheduling the service and the technician. I have used Climatech in the past and I will definitely use them in the future!

My initial experience was wonderful - the customer service on the phone is great and tech that came out to our house is very nice and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Taken aback by the $500 plus bill, $210 for a diagnostics and an addition $335 for the temporary fix (no parts). He was there from 2:30 - 5:15 so he did put some time in and he did make it so we had heat on the middle floor. This price did not include the parts needed for a fix (a damper replacement and a board needs to be installed - we looked up the parts pricing to make sure we are in the ballpark). The temporary fix would only work for so long and it was suggested we do not change mess with the temp too much, fine. I was to get a quote for the permanent fix and then they could get us on the schedule. I called at end of day the next day to see when I would be getting the quote so we could decide what to do, I was told it was coming. It is now the following week, I called again to see if we would be getting a quote and was told it had not been done yet. I feel like I am chasing them to give them business which is making me second guess my initial experience. I am hoping I get to come back here and have a positive follow up.

I recently called Climatech on a Saturday Morning as we were having problems with our air conditioner during a heat wave. Climatech came out and the tech was very professional and kept us informed during the whole process of correcting the problem. I will be using Climatech for my regular maintance.

Called them to fix my A/C. The came out quickly and all the people in office are very nice and polite. Tech showed up and determined it was a short in the wiring and the contactor. Took 2 hours to repair. I am ok with the labor fees. What I am taken back on was the part. I googled the for my Goodman unit and the prices range from $20-$40. I was charged $208.00 with a $30 discount so $178. I do accept a service company doubling cost but this seams like their marking it up 400%. That s like the markup on alcohol at a restaurant. May use them again but probably not.

Climatech did a very nice job in replacing my oil furnace and hwh with a heat pump and new hwh. They listened to what I was looking for and worked within my budget. Karen and Tammy in the office were a pleasure to work with. The guys on the job were thorough and friendly.

ClimaTech's provided me reliable, prompt service since I've owned my home in CT since 2011. This year's tune-up tech was great, as has been the case every year. In 2015 I had to replace my heater, in the middle of winter. ClimaTech responded immediately, explained my choices, and installed the new system--which has worked so well ever since. A-1 service!

Had this company come out to replace my old water heater. They came out quick and were done fast. Installed the new tankless heaters and they work great! So happy with my service.!

I tried the air conditioning on my Mitsubishi split system in the sunroom on Tuesday afternoon to make sure it was working. It was not. I immediately called Climatech and they sent a service person the next day. The problem was quickly diagnosed and it was found that the problem for this unit was still covered under warranty. After discussion with Paul, it was decided that it made more sense to install a completely new unit instead of repairing the older, defective unit. I have used Climatech for all my HVAV needs over the years and have always been satisfied with the cost of service and equipment.

Climatech came highly recommended by a friend who is in the heating business. I was able to get an appointment right away and the tech who came out was thorough and honest, I will definitely be using them for my future heating needs!

I found myself in a bad situation after years of putting off having my AC serviced it finally stopped working in a very hot and humid July. The company with which I normally do business was going to take several days to come out. One call to Climatech and they were out the same day even though I am outside their normal service area. The tech was polite and professional. Diagnosed the problem within minutes. Got me up and running in no time and did a thorough cleaning on the unit.

If only I'd call them sooner. Spoke to the owners to make sure they knew they'd get all business from now on. Thank you!

I went to their web site and entered a service call. Someone from the office got back to me shortly after. The technician came out in the afternoon and made the repair. The price was fair and the service was good. The tech's name was David. I would definitely use them again.

I am shocked to see this overpriced service. Just to come out he charged us $160.00. By two hours put in and the total is over $600.00. Are all CT contractors charge excessively? I feel our air conditioning system is not the same even though he calls it it's fixed. Force is lower than before. And, am afraid to call this company to come back and charge me another $160.00 for coming.

I called Climatech for information into putting in a heating system and they were extremely knowledgeable and polite. They came out to the house to look at the work that needed to be done and gave us a very favorable quote.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are still companies out there that base their business off of excellent customer service.
I am very happy with their entire business.

This company is top notch. I just got a mini split installed to condition my 2nd floor. Techs are friendly and efficient, while the office staff was always available to answer any question. I will only be using Climatech for all my HVAC needs.

From the very first call I was treated as if I were their only customer. Our central air went during the heat wave and we needed it replaced quickly. Climatech helped me with repairing my system and repaired lines and got my system going although it's 28 years old. They got it going and we're going to be talking about replacing something in the spring but I'm up and running my air conditioning. They're a good company. I want the people to be aware that their knowledge is high-end and I would definitely use them again & will be using them in a future replacement.

Poor customer service. I was told when I gave them my card # it would be a 155.00 fee to look at the problem with my gas furnace. I asked the girl on the phone to be sure and have them contact me with a quote before charging me anything or fidoingva repair. I missed the call from the repair man and immediatly called him back and got no answer. My tenant told me the repair man was there for a total of 15 minutes at best. They charged my credit card for 500.00 and have never contacted me since. I have not received a bill either by email or mail! Disgraceful!! I would not recommend at all!!

Bruce is very nice and extremely competent at his job. I have AC in my house again. He installed a duct sanitizer which makes me feel a lot better about the air in my house.

Excellent service provided they came out quickly found out the A/C compressor failed and replaced our A/C equipment the next day! Can t say enough about their service - we definitely plan on calling them for future service at work and home!

I choose Climatech to help with a hot water issue. They responded quickly and came out super fast and let us know we needed a new pump for the water heater. They were able to replace the pump by the next day. They were professional throughout the whole job and didn't make a mess as some companies don't care if they dirty your home. Split Ductless A/C system consultant came up with ideas that other companies did not allowing individual controls in every room and no massive construction project to install.

I was in a bit of pinch when my central air failed. Made some calls around to local HVAC businesses and was told I'd need to wait a few weeks. Called Climatech and even though they were busy too they didn't push it off leaving the possibility that if a tech frees up they'd send them over. A tech ended up having time that same day. They sent over Joey who was excellent and very knowledgeable. He was able to pretty quickly identify the issue and complete the repair. Highly recommend using Climatech.

I had an issue with my central air unit and called Climatech. They were quick to respond and when it turned out the issue was a bit more in depth then we thought we had the entire furnace replaced. They were able to order it and install it with in a few days. The techs made sure that everything was taken care of, staying late to make sure the job was completed and cleanup was done. With the hot weather and having 2 little kids I can't thank them enough for going above and beyond to get the unit replaced and working. Highly recommended.

Boiler died on Thursday night. I'm a new customer to them and I know they were busy. It happened to be the coldest night of the year. I gave them a call, and within 30 minutes a salesman was here. He went over my options and gave me a price first thing in the morning. Three hours later, two technicians were at my house with a new boiler. They worked into the night to make sure my family had heat. Awesome service. Simply awesome.

I wish I remembered everyones name so I could specifically say how great they were. Sales was great, service even better.

our a/c system stopped working over the weekend, called Climatech early this morning and they promptly came out by that afternoon. our a/c was back and ruing and we were very happy with the service and professionalism. I would definitely recommend Climatech to anyone, staff was friendly and the service was seamless.

Absolutely the best! My water heater died early this morning, water everywhere. Climatech had it removed and replaced with a shiny new one within in a few hours. Prices are very reasonable. And the men that came to my house were polite and charming (and they cleaned up afterwards!). Great people who do a great job at a great price and do it very quickly. What more could you ask for? I'd highly recommend them to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

We hired Climatech to install our mini-split system. 9 months later in late February/early March of 2020 we contact them to do a yearly 'maintenance' and are told we have to wait until the cold weather regulates to at least 65* for average daytime high's.. We do and call in early May. Then? We're told they'll call us the following week. NO CALL so by the end of THAT week we call and leave a message. The following week ( Monday/Tuesday ) no return call. So we send text to one of the businesses principal- who sold the system to begin with. He seems perturbed we have his phone number. Tells us to call 'other' number. We do, leave message. Finally, a call back ( message ) that they'd had 2 people get injured and were short of people to do maintenance. O.K...
Then, going into end of 3rd week, maintenance IS schedule ( more or less ) but date/time changes no less than 4 times ( including twice on the day it was finally scheduled for ). Since maintenance, we have had ( for the first time- water dripping from INSIDE that we had to put a bucket under and tape plastic to keep wall & furniture and carpet from getting ruined. We've had a 'total runaround' for the last 10 days now and will hire another company who's close by to inspect their 'maintenance' and TAKE CARE of any potential issues. We will NOT recommend nor use Climatech again. Oh, and the maintenance fee which we were originally told was about $275.00 was way higher that that. Seems they charge to 'travel'..Unbelievable.. Plus they showed up 90+ minutes after calling to say they were 'on their way'a little before lunch-time. Perhaps they charge for the lunch hour too????

We just bought our house in July and had an issue where the heat suddenly came on in the middle of the night without anybody touching the thermostat. We called Climatech the next morning to see if someone could come look at what might have caused the problem. They were out the same day and were able to diagnose the issue immediately and fix it for a reasonable cost! We will definitely use them again for any of our HVAC needs!

Climatech helped me avert disaster. My family was putting our house on the market, and the day before it listed our AC went out. A rep came out quickly and diagnosed the problem. He was able to fix it on the spot and be on his way. Thankfully, our house was nice and comfortable for the first showing. I contacted Climatech for an AC issue that I was experiencing. I was not getting any cold air throughout my house and summer was right around the corner. The receptionist was very respectful and accommodated me with an appointment. They came out when they said they would and the tech was very respectful of my home. They were fair with their work and ultimately fixed my AC just in time for the heat wave. I have found a trusted contractor that will do quality work for a reasonable price.

Our central air broke on a Friday night in August during heat wave. Called Climatech at 6:30am on Saturday, they were at our house by 9:15am. Had our central air running by 10am. Great company, first time we used them. I will only use Climatech for any other Hvac needs.

We were told our system had failed and needed to be replaced and were left with no air conditioning last week. Called up Climatech, they came in and added some refrigerant to system to get us going so we would be comfortable. We were happy to be cool and they gave us a discount on the new 410a system which was installed within 7 days. The first company we called wanted us to stay in a hot home and melt but we were thrilled when Climatech came out within a few hours of our call. I dont ever post reviews but was so pleased with Climatech's work I had to share. These guys at Climatech are great and I won't hesitate to use them in the future.

Our existing 10 year old Trane air conditioning system developed a severe freon (R-22) leak, and we decided to install a new system that uses the preferred refrigerant, R-410a. After obtaining quotes from several local contractors, we accepted a bid from Climatech; they offered an excellent American Standard system at a very competitive price. The installers arrived when promised and installed the new system promptly and efficiently. The clean up after system installation was also neat and efficient. The new system performance has been excellent; and with an improved SEER rating, the reduction in electricity consumption was noticeable on the first power bill. We couldn't be more pleased with Climatech and would recommend them to others.

After some initial issues, Climatech...and most notably as other reviewer mention, PAUL NASKI went ABOVE and BEYOND to help me. He really cares about customers, his work, and his reputation. THAT I can't say enough about-he's an asset and then some. While I didn t originally give 5 *'s due to some issues I won't get into, the responsiveness, work ethic and caring went a long way to give me a much better impression of Climatech, and at this point I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services and certainly recommend PAUL whom is terrific.

Climatech Mechanical is an incredible company. They bailed us out last winter on one of the coldest days of the year (on a weekend) when our heating system broke. They respond immediately when you call - even if it is after hours. The entire Climatech team is phenomenal with our favorite technician, Joe, being the best of the best. They have repaired and/or replaced our A/C system, heating system and hot water heater. Their prices are competitive, and all the technicians are polite, professional and neat. The team at Climatech is terrific. Our central air stopped working last week on one of the hottest days of the year. Although we were not a current customer, Paul responded very quickly to my after hours call and had a technician (Sean) at my house in about 30 minutes. The team at Climatech are wonderful. Our central air started leaking into our ceiling on one of the hottest days of the year. Although we were not a current customer, Paul responded very quickly to my call and had a technician (Joey) at my house at 7am to fix it. Joey explained that the elbow in the drain pipe separated and resolved the problem within an hour. Climatic provides great service, very knowledgeable technicians and are very efficient, I highly recommend them and will definitely call upon them again when i need furnace or AC service again.

I want to report a good news about Climatech Mechanical Services Wallingford, Connecticut. I talked to them on Saturday. They came out Monday morning first thing and changes my unit with a few parts inside and it's cooling now and they are reasonably priced and I'm more than happy.

I was told by another company that my 11 year old central air system had to be totally replaced after the breaker started to trip. Paul from Climatech told me I only had to replace the outside unit and the air handler in the attic was fine. In a few hours the techs had swapped out the old unit and I was back up and running saving me about $3500.00. I am very grateful for the honesty and great service from Paul and Climatech I will be using their service from now on.

Good service. Equipment was installed exactly as promised and the negotiated price is what I was invoiced, which is great.

Mini-split install was great and pricing was good; BUT LOOK OUT for regular maintenance costs AND repairs! Cleaning $250 per unit and Diagnostic fee of $250!! Got a $450 bill for a minor problem. Over twice the cost of most companies. Tried to reach out to Owner/salesman?but wouldn't return my calls, so I paid bill to be done with them :( Shame on me for not doing my research ahead of time...But also lucky for me I didn't hire them for our other AC replacement....things happen for a reason :)

He was very thorough and was very happy to explain not only everything he did (above and beyond I may add) but suggestions for future service being I have an old unit. Recently new to the area, and Googled HVAC in Wallingford, Climatech came up and had great reviews. My AC was out, and I needed to replace the heat pump. I had someone come to my home, and within that day had an estimate. The estimate had various heat pumps with information regarding each, as a consumer it is important to have various selection to choose from. I chose the recommenced heat pump, and Climatech was great working with my busy schedule for the installment date. I had the heat pump installed, and my AC going all in 1 day. All parties involved were very professional, and ethical. I highly recommend Climatech for all HVAC issues.

Found out about Climatech after my sister used them last summer for a replacement of the outdoor compressor unit in the middle of last summer! Knowing we were also on borrowed time with our A/C system we decided to contact before they are busy to get a price on a new A/C system. First I must say that I called 3 companies for pricing and Climatech called me back promptly, the other two never called back? This was about 2 weeks ago. I actually had to call 2 more companies just to get one to respond and come out for a quote. I'm a small business owner myself and could never imagine handling possible customers that way. This is one of the main reasons I felt the want to leave a positive review for Climatech as they impressed me on that end.

Their representative Paul was very informative and upfront with options for replacing with a standard system versus high efficiency and what options were available. He really seemed to know what was good for us and wanted to give us enough information to help us make an informative decision. Pricing was within my budget and both quotes were close enough in pricing to make me comfortable overall.

Throughout the planning of the installation the office staff, who we already spoke to a few times were very pleasant to deal with. Our first attempt to setup the installation was met with inclement weather but fortunately they squeezed us in as soon as they could a couple of days later, All the while keeping me updated which was very surprising compared to what I have dealt with past contractors who don't seem to answer their phone let alone call me.

The technicians were also nice guys and concerned about making sure the final job was to our liking. They even found why one of my rooms didn't seem to have much airflow due to a tear in the ductwork and were glad to take care of this .

We are very pleased with how quickly they turned everything around and now our system ran great over this past week. It's something I feel others should know about so they too make a wise decision on choosing a good contractor.

After purchasing my first home, I needed to have my furnace replaced. I called Climatech to install a new unit. The gentleman who arrived was friendly and was on time. I was amazed how quickly he was able to remove the old unit and install the new one. After he completed the install, he actually took the time to show me how the new unit works. Let's be honest: any HVAC shop that's been around for decades is going to have qualified and knowledgeable Mechanics working for them. What sets Company A apart from Company B is the level of professionalism, courtesy, responsiveness, and clearly communicating with the customer what the problems are and how they plan to address them. This is where Climatech shines and helps put me, the customer, at ease during what can only be described as a frustratingly stressful situation. First off, cannot say enough good things about this company. I called them based on their reviews and I'm glad I did! Great technicians, great staff, and great work. My home is cool again!

I contacted Climatech for a heating issue in my office. I had spotty service from another company in the past and decided to try someone else. Their response was quick and their technician was very knowledgeable and repaired the issue quickly. I will be using Climatech in the future for any issues I have with my office space or my home residence.

I woke up this morning about 6 a.m. to find I had a cold shower and I called them at 7:10 (when they said they open after I looked online) and they were able to dispatch somebody to my location at 8 a.m, pretty much when they said they would . And when they came and they confirmed a small part I needed - they had it on the truck & had me taking a warm shower 20 minutes later. So I want to say that I would use them again and recommend them.

I have used Climatech for my residential HVAC needs for years now. I have had great dealings with one of their service techs Paul Naski. When I call and talk with him he is extremely pleasant and always great customer service. He actually gives me troubleshooting advice over the phone and recommends what to do and not to do. I have had them come out to recharge my A/C and to do my season clean-up. They are always on time and make you feel like your the priority. Thanks guys

This company is very shady. First they tell me tech will be there mid day, comes at 430pm. They do not tell the me to turn unit off 24 hours prior to diagnoses. When tech comes its frozen and he is not able to finish diagnoses. He tells me to put a fan on for 24 hours then they will come back to further diagnose as there may or may not be a leak. Then after calling them the next day they e mail letter with further " possible charges". When I call they are telling me now the diagnoses does not need to be finished even though they still don't know what is wrong with it. Money gauging lies and inconsistent stories is what you will get here

I had a very good experience with Climatech. I had to replace a Heatpump/air conditioning unit and air handler and Paul Neski from Climatch came out as soon as I contacted him to look at the project and he had a quote to me that same day. The quote process with very professional and efficient. We scheduled the install and Climatech's crew was there when they said they would and the installation was smooth and professional. They were very neat, efficient and mindfull of the plants and trees around the unit. I was very satisfied.

Technician did a very good job, on time and within budget. Professional and knowledgeable. They have my business, no reason to go anyplace else. Nice job.

I had this company come out to fix my AC unit. My tech was Orlando and he was very professional. He answered all my questions in a manner that was easy to understand. I feel like I paid a fair price for the service that was done and am very satisfied with the service. I will be calling them again when it's time to replace my existing (25 year old) unit. I came home yesterday to a house that felt a little warmer than normal. Sure enough, the AC wasn't working, and the temperature crept up a few degrees per hour. With temperatures for the week projected to be in the mid nineties and two kids that stay at home during the day, I needed someone to diagnose and fix the problem ASAP. Climatech is located in Wallingford where I live, so I called the office and had someone out within the hour despite being in the early evening. The serviceman was very professional and quickly determined that the capacitor on my outdoor condenser was bad. He swapped it out, made sure everything was functioning properly, and was on his way. The cost seemed more than fair. For once, I felt good about a transaction! I something happens to my AC or furnace in the future, I will be sure to call Climatech.
