Nice hotel, but some of the rooms are hard to get to. It's a pain when you're with small children.

I was informed that it was remodeled about two years ago. The place looks bigger and brighter from when I was a kid. The chicken dinner at the restaurant is delicious, and the dessert photo I posted here although delicious, it was too sweet for me. The restaurant also has a really nice view of the bay bridge, lit up at night.

The terrace at the Claremont is a great place to have drinks and dinner. Amazing views of the surrounding areas, San Francisco and the GGB. Bring your binoculars.

Gorgeous views abound here. You can see most of the Bay Area and San Francisco on clear days, and the subsets are beautiful. A bit pricy, but you go for the views.

A large comfy hotel in a quiet neighborhood offering fantastic views of San Francisco.

I go over there to service their copy machine. I really love the place. Everyone is very nice. The place inside looks cool too. I didn't get the chance to stay here but one day.

Went to spa, everything was great from the service to the amenities. I don't know enough about spas to give a more detailed review. They have a whirlpool hot pool, deluge shower, massages, private baths, showers with adjustable sprays in many directions, steam room, hair dryers and lockers.

The chandeliers are low in the rooms so don't jump too high! The hotel is like something out of The Shining, but a less haunted version (not saying it's not haunted). Lots of amenities and also pretty close to the downtown. Very nice hotel.

Very relaxing, pampering environment with professional staff. Nice to have a spa where the employees are long-term professional at their craft.

Went to the Limewood restaurant for my friend's birthday. Wonderful service and the food was delicious. The holiday decorations in the lobby were beautiful.

Paragon service was off sync. Bar food par at best and sub service. Spa treatments nice but facilities were sloppy. 3 star they need to work on service

Beautiful setting and great view of the bay and Golden Gate bridge in the distance. Comfortable setting and the servers were very prompt and helpful, especially Jay. I wish I knew to ask for the Hilary Tenzing room for the next time. However for the cost I have had better tea service options at other luxury hotels, hence the 4 stars.

The Claremont is nicely located away from the noise of downtown, but close enough to be convenient. It's a HUGE old hotel (the largest wood structure this side of the Mississippi, according to the manager), and mostly updated pretty well. The large windows in the lobby and bar area offer great light and lovely expansive views.

Nice room, located in Berkeley, beautiful overall hotel

Extremely nice place. Room has a view of all of San Francisco. Food at the Limewood is superb. All employees I have met were professional and well manered.

Wonderful place to stay if you re in the Berkeley area. The staff is GREAT, and the ability to use the health club (classes included) is the best. We walked to UC Berkeley, hiked the trails around the hotel and discovered cool niches and seating areas to have a cocktail or chat. We will be back

My cousin had a family meet and greet there for her wedding. Everyone was very helpful and the venue was beautiful.

I dont think you can go wrong with anything at the Claremont

We came to use the pool with our 4 year old. The kids pool was great for her and she spent many hours in it. The umbrellas were nice and shady for those lounging. Lunch was tasty and fresh and served poolside.

I grew up near The Clairmont Hotel. As a family we have eaten in the restaurant for many years. It was a treat to see what they have done with the hotel. It is very nice. The service is great and the folks that work there are very kind and helpful. I would recommend staying here or visiting the restaurant. The food is excellent and prices are reasonable. Parking is easy and you can take Ubers/cans right to the front for easy access. Tip top all around. Thank you!!

We enjoyed the spa and the club. Fitness classes were a bit crowded and it was really complicated to book spa appointments.

Grand re-opening (as a Fairmont) in mid-October, but you can book a renovated room now. Absolutely the best place to stay in all of the East Bay.

Looking at the appearance from near the main entrance is a sense of disappointing, but it is clean and spacious as it is inside. Of course all the staff are kind.

Delicious food for dinner. The service is impeccable.

Great customer service. Street parking is scary. You have to park half of your car on the curb. Beautifully remodeled!

I had an amazing stay at the Claremont Club & Spa! Incredible property overlooking San Francisco Bay. The room are spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom had a shower and a bathtub !! The staff is really nice, accommodating and helpful. Bellman Alex was friendly and very helpful! The Spa has really nice amenities and Fanny is amazing! Thank You! I will be back soon!

Beautiful hotel nestled in the hills rich with history.

As a frequent traveler, this is the first negative review I've ever felt compelled to write. Staff needs serious training. Save yourself the time, money and aggravation. Plenty of other places in the area who will make you feel welcome.

The rooms are good but don't isolate the noise from the hallways much. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's easy to get lost trying to manevuer around the hotel.

Our room was very nice, and I had the most comfortable hotel bed I've had in a while! The reception, concierge, and room service were all very accommodating and helpful. A wonderful place to stay and prep for my sister's wedding :)
