Really enjoyed my day at the Claremont Spa - it was a thank you gift for a hard physical job and the day spent at the spa with massage, sitting in the hot tubs with the lovely views and the fantastic showers was great. We went in and out of the spa a few times, going out for lunch and coming back to enjoy the tubs before and after our massages. Great staycation or treat for the day.
And they have a lovely selection of teas and fresh fruit to enjoy too!

I have some friends in the bay who were awestruck when I mentioned I'd be staying here for a conference. The rooms were average, nothing spectacular. The walls were thin! We could hear the elevator doors open and close. People just walking by made enough noise to pass through the walls. Yes, parking and "facility fees" totaled 60 dollars a night. AND, the wifi was really terrible. It went in and out (mostly out) for our entire stay. I don't know what they are doing with the fees, but definitely not updating their hardware. Come on Claremont, you are IN silicon valley and you can't get wifi to work correctly?! Unacceptable.

Overall, the place was just average. Rooms smelled like old people and the decor is dated - but not necessarily in the charming way. I'd suggest staying somewhere else.

It is an extraordinary architectural landmark with breathtaking views of the bay. That said, the appointments are not quite what one might expect and it was a bit disappointing to discover that one of the two restaurants closed and was replaced by a coffee shop. I would like to come back and give it the five-star rating that it deserves.

This hotel is amazing. We took my mother-in-law to the hotel for drinks at the bar and dinner at the Limewood and the staff is exceptional. Tonino (Scottish man) is such a kind man who treated my sweet mom in law with such gentleness and respect, as did our waiter Robert. They went above and beyond to help us have a great experience.

Cannot say enough great things about this place. Gorgeous building, wonderfully decorated. There's no getting around how expensive it is but it is worth the price it is spectacular from the views, the rooms, the service, everything. I'll spend the money again to stay there the next time I'm in town.

My brother works here as a chef and Ive got to say that the place was amazingly big and well equipped. the rooms were very grand - Like a 2 bedroom unit with a big ensuite bathroom big!

We had a lot of space to even tumble around in front of the beds and the whole bathroom was a room in itself. If your really particular about space then this is the place. Price wise though you should expect it to be pricey. As they say you get what you paid for :)

The Claremont Club & Spa is a spectacular facility in one of the most interesting parts of Berkeley and Oakland California. The tennis courts are truly world-class as is the atmosphere.

Place is beautiful. Decor is done tastefully. I was at the bar there to enjoy a nice meetup with one of my potential investors and it was great atmosphere until they started blasting music like it was some cheap teenie bopper night club. Music selection was not ideal (EDM) and it forced my investor and I to nearly yell at each other just to stay audible.

I would go there again, but next time I will tell the DJ to keep it low and classy.

Beautiful hotel and grounds but the bar/patio we were hoping to sit on was closed, which was why we wanted to go there. Plus I got charged for parking even though we were in the 15 minute grace period mentioned on the sign coming into the parking lot.

The food was adequate, but only just. The salmon fillets were $28 and came with no sides and a very small portion of salmon. I believe they charged for refills on soda, which is frankly ridiculous for the price we were paying for dinner. The special that night looked very good, and was a full meal sufficient for dinner, but I'm afraid to even ask how expensive that entree was. I have no problem paying for an expensive dinner when there's quality to match that asking price, but that was simply not the case here. The highlight was probably that the cost of parking is very reasonable for the area if you eat at the restaurant. I'd stay away from this place unless you're a hotel guest and don't want to leave the building.

Great view and ambiance. Though there was some confusion about seating on the patio and bar as which one was first cpme forsy serve and which one had an hour wait. Portions were very very small for how expensive it was but it was good nonetheless.

In loooove. Could live here forever. Spent a few days escaping the heat and smoke and just kept extending my stay cuz I didn t want to leave(even tho I live 10 minutes away). The property is gorgeous, the staff is beyond friendly and over the top helpful despite the craziness of covid. The cafe staff were sooooo sweet every morning! Food in the cafe and limewood are all great! Limewood servers were also the sweetest and everyone just genuinely seemed happy to be there and be working(they d reopened a week before I arrived).

I loooooved the extra security measures and it felt like they actually took things seriously unlike the other luxury properties I ve stayed at recently. Temp checks for ALL guests, guests must be met by me in the lobby, no delivery people inside, etc

I ended up having to switch rooms for my perfect bath tub gem of a room cuz the AC units out on the roof were screeching and I couldn t sleep. The staff did a great job finding me a perfect room to switch to even though it s kind of a pain given the covid rules on room holds. Thanks guys!

Everything was so perfect! Can t wait for my next staycation here!

Staying here for training for work. Beautiful place surrounded by beautiful greens. Be prepared to pay $25 just for a simple egg, bacon and potato breakfast which was a very small portion. Our training did not include coffee. Coffee was $3.50/cup! The gym is nice but for the price of rooms, should have updated equipment. Some equipment that was stationed with a view was broken so why not move it in front of a wall and switch out equipment? All rooms are to come with a fridge, there are not enough. All rooms are to come with robes, there are not enough of those either. In this training, we have a roommate. Two women were placed in a very small room with a single sink 6X6 bathroom with shower stall. Guys were given larger room with larger bathrooms which had a tub/shower and dbl sinks. If you are staying for free, guess I should not complain. I would not recommend staying here on your own dime.

A wonderful hotel, with a unique, historical, ambience. The rooms are good sized, ditto for the bathrooms. The views, stretching all the way to San Francisco are amazing. The amenities feel like they have been upgraded. There are plenty of places in the hotel to find quite space if you would like to. The staff is very friendly, and willing to go the extra mile.

I was out celebrating a couple of friends bday and we order our good. We watched how some of the good was just sitting waiting for it to be picked up. The bday boy watched his burger sit at the station for 12mins before it was deliveredour table. The burger and fries were cold. The pork porterhouse steak was cold. Good was cool, but nobody wants cold food.

Pretty amazing high end hotel with tons of history. Great pool and spa. Rooms were nice too. Parking fees are a little over the top and the on-site restaurant, as well as room service are outrageously expensive.
