I was stay for two weeks for quarantine purpose. Present that hotel operate as quarantine centre.

Nice location ideal place to relax with family and friends and food is great.

View is great, rooms above average, food I will rate low as selection is less and quality is low for a branded chain. Service is low in terms of ethical and professional service. To start with

Good Side
A. Good viewe and long beach
B. Bar atmosphere was great and service was exceptional
C. Great pool and open lobby to enjoy the viewe
D. Rooms are precious and modern. Comfortable bedding
E. Room service, there is nothing to critic about
F. Checking and Checkout service is good

Bad side
A. Greeting and smile less in their menu
B. When I was having my diner this waiter approached miming a song and took my plate without asking (Was talking to others). When I asked why he replied ohh you have not finished?
C. At the dessert serving they were having Ice Cream and I asked from a passing by chef is it home made? He was walking pass and its a normal one likewise without a proper comment. like we came to eat free
D. I asked for two panadols and the staff saying not sure we have any. I sarcastically said hlotel like this not having panadols at their first aid?
E. Been a person who experienced food and hotels, menue is less and not tasty. Breakfast is pout less with western dishes.Pork was too salty and mayonaise not fresh and taste bit out.

Lot of room to improved. And Citrus should keep their standards. This is a unexpected experience for me and I felt offended been Lankan in my own country. But saying above you all can improve to be better.

This place is very good for relax both indoor and outdoor

Great location by the seashore, with all rooms giving you a good view of the beach. Very pleasant rooms, comfy and well maintained.
The all day dining restaurant does a good buffet spread but could do better with a little more variety. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly but can sometimes lack in attending to guests, when it gets a bit busy.
Minor issue I found was that the Pips N Sips lounge staff aren't always around to serve you and sometimes you have to wait around for someone to show up to take your order.

Visited here on 28th of July 2019(Sunday) for a office day out (25pax). Before the booking we used to know about this place from one of my colleagues as they visited here on couple of occasions and they recommended on a high note. Overall great atmosphere and good hotel to be visited. As per the current circumstances you don't get the best customer service out there and I felt so bad with the service. But I don't wanna blame them because we know that entire industry is trying to survive these days due to the issue with the tourism industry. Shortage in staff, cost cutting buffet spread. Not only in Citrus Waskaduwa, you don't get the expected service level where ever star hotels you visit these days.
Hope they will bounce back soon and serve us as usual. Good luck... Cheers.

One of the best place to spend your vacation with beach view. Really nice and friendly staff. Awesome hospitality. Regarding food, Breakfast & Lunch are good. Regarding dinner, fish are not tasty other than that, it's okay. Dessert is delicious !

Great place with wonderful view and the staff always has a smile on their face , very helpful and very punctual.

My only worry is its looks loke the managment havent taken any steps to maintain the hotel such a beautiful structure but getting in to horror day by day .

Hotel check in was not so exciting as we have went there after 2pm but got only one room. Other room was not ready and after about 20 minutes later we received a room which was a upgraded room. Welcome drink was not served and we had to request and get it. Hotel surrounding is beautiful. Orange and white theme of the hotel gives pleasant atmosphere. Rooms are beautiful and nicely arranged. But there was some bad smell in the toilet. Food is tasty and have considerable amount of choices as well. Servicing at the restaurant some time takes bit of time. DJ was played at the lobby on Saturday night where most of the people can enjoy. Overall the stay is fine

Not really good, they didn't provide rooms in proper time. Delayed to provide rooms. Not recomended

Food spread was good. Some activities to do so kept us occupied. We got 2 rooms. This property is not a 5 star facility as promoted. Some basic items in the rooms were missing. Reception never answered the phone. Cleaning of rooms and bathroom in particular below par. Hotel was full so seems like couldn't handle it.

The hotel is large, but there is a feeling that there are few people. There is almost no one on the beach at all. Everywhere everything is neat and well maintained.

One of the best venues for weddings, just went to a wedding of a friend which was at this place, specially liked the food.

Nice hotel . Very huge landscape. Facing the ocean. Delicious buffets and varieties. Area to relax and memorial before your back flight to home.

Hotel with too many rooms but very few staff to attend our needs. I had to carry my own luggage to no 162 which the furthest from reception and back. The room's divan had fungus stain. No welcome drink as promised and I have to pour some lemon water out of a jug
The buffet area is too small for the rooms they have. Had to wait in line to find a place to sit for my lunch. And a staff member asked one of my colleague to leave the dining are after lunch to provide room for another customer's lunch
The meals are satisfactory with a good selection. But when it comes to actual eating the utensils are few and had to ask the staff.
Overall I will not recommend this hotel as it is very expensive with lack of service we entertained in less priced hotels ( I booked in March 2017 for this event almost dou let the market price).

Amazing stay. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Food delicious and varied. Even accommodated my fussy children by making them sausages ecenthough we were eating at the buffet. Everything run well and any issues fixed immediately. A little slice of heaven. I want to go back...

Awesome place with fantastic beach...all rooms are beach facing

This is a very nice hotel located in the sea beach front of Kalutara. Hotel rear is very beautiful than the front. It has a lengthy lawn and a clean beach front. There is a nice spacious swimming pool and also a indoor baby pool for kids. Unfortunately it was seen that some Indians and Europeans used the pool without having a bath. Some Indian ladies got into the pool in normal clothes. It hadn't seen pool attendants took any interest to stop such persons and also no instructions display board on how use the pool, found in and around the pool. Pool bar played recorded music in high volume disturbing the natural calmness..
Rooms and toilets are clean, nice and spacious and all have sea view.
Ample vehicle parking area is available.
Friendly and very good service from arrival to departure (except the pool).
Food is good but varieties are not much.
Generally this is a very good hotel to spend your leisure.

We had a great time at Citrus Waskaduwa, food was good, staff was really friendly and professional, location was really good. I will highly recommend this place whoever wanted to spend a nice, decent evening with their friends or family.

Never visit Citrus Wakaduwa.. it is a good property but with a bad General Manager, who does not want to talk to customers or listen to customers concerns. If GM does not want to talk to customers, then you can understand the plght and standard of this Hotel. This hotel discriminates vegetarians although it cliams to have an international buffet..if you are a vegetarian, never come to Citrus Wakaduwa...The Operations manager tried to help customers to some extent, but the GM haf no clue about customer service... although this is my 4th time i had come to Citrus Wakaduwa i will Never come here again.

We arrived at 2 p.m. , the room is not ready, I had to wait a long time. When we were finally settled, they were very disappointed with the number. In the room it strongly stinks of mold, it is dirty all around, old shabby furniture, dirty water flows from the ventilation, there is no bath, there is a shower in the mold, it stinks, it is dirty, the floor is slippery when we take a shower, the water flows through the wall into the room. The hotel inside the rooms does not correspond to the declared 5 stars, rather a triple, we would not give him more stars. Many tenants agree with us, everyone complains about the dirt in the hotel. It is necessary to do something with mold, it is dangerous for health. We will spend the day here and we will leave. The hotel staff at the reception desk and at the information desk are not attentive, even arrogant, they do not behave respectfully to customers. Requests do not comply, you have to remind several times. They asked to clean the room several times, so no one cleaned, there is no shower gel in the room. We will not come here again. The only advantage of the hotel is the location off the coast and well-groomed territory. The beach is very dirty

Post tsunami property, oldish fashion, comfortable rooms, the grandeur not to qualify for high star ratting, service and food grade 3. But being by the side of live Indian ocean waves to its boundary, make many if not all the deficiencies. Happy, if you find sky clear for Sun set.

Great hotel unforgettable moment irreproachable staff always listening ... gargantuan buffet perfect cleanliness I recommend a romantic dinner on the beach with lots of little attentions .... romantic evening do not hesitate to bathe in the ocean no problem if you stay close from the beach we hesitated because it was not recommended we did not understand why .... if you need a touk touk call Taruk and his brother Samir they stay when leaving the hotel on the right the little shop. beautiful, helpful people of trust a real lesson in life in their company, do not hesitate they need to work .. and we will not forget the team Coralia Vanessa Charlie Julien irreproachable, thank you for their kindness their dynamism their discretion also very nice encounters.Bravo for their patience I will never understand how people on vacation with an entourage an extraordinary staff are never satisfied I think es particularly to two French people and I can only pity these people who are never satisfied but who disturb the pleasure of others it was my little rant. Do not hesitate to go to SRI KANKA and if you meet all these beautiful people whose I spoke to you tell them that they will remain in our memory bon voyage .CATHY

Excellent service!!! Beautiful and very spacious rooms with a nice sea view. Very well designed architecture... Great food experience and even in room dinning menu has a great food combo with decent prices. Roof top was beyond expectations...

Relaxing good place by the southern beach of sri lnka. Easy access. Good and comfi rooms. food is good but the buffet is average size. ie not that much variations. No sea bath recommended as there is no life guard and the sea is rather rough.Value for the money

One of my frd camera stolen by them.. I mean I attended to wedding and lost it inside hall.. Yet to they didn't help him. Even they have cctv camera they did not help.

Amazing location with private beach access. Rooms are beautiful but certainly they can improve in food department.

The good thing about the hotel was the food, staff and the inital presentation of the rooms. The bad includes the hotel telling you to keep dirty/used dishes outside the room for the staff to collect and doesn't end up collecting it, which leads the food to spoil and smell outside. Also the room floors are fitted with the wrong tiles, water takes ages to dry up when returning after a walk on the beach.

Presently in the hotel. It is my 14 day quarantine period. Very beautiful scenic place with a clean spacious room.
I was very particular of my food and at my request the management provided me the best they could, soooo much pleased with their courteous service

There are cockroaches in the room , i'm very disappointed and definitely wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

Beautiful atmosphere, strategic location, spacious rooms & great facilities. However quality of the service is inconsistent and major delays occur when checking in, extended my stay requesting for a new room & the room change was made 4 hours late. the staff has 0 flexibility on late checkouts even when the hotel doesn't seem to be very busy despite of their delays in checking in. Rooms are not clean as expected. Definitely way too far from 5star.
