Citadel Azur Resort Review

This is the first hotel that struck me at first sight. This is a whole small city and not a hotel. It is made with a very big love of detail in architecture. The sensations are simply unreal, 2 lagoons made right by the sea, in which different fish swim, create the impression of thoughtful rest. The rooms are huge, with terraces and sea views. All equipment is in very good condition. In general, the place is simply superb. As for food, it is about the same as everywhere in Egypt. Before Europe does not reach.

The hotel is cool. Its biggest advantage is the lagoon with yachts. Because of her, all the tables "on the waterfront" look like you are not in Egypt, but somewhere in Europe.
The rooms are part of the old, part of the reconstructed. We lived in a new one. Good number. We immediately had a view of the lagoon. Music plays loud until 23:00. We were ok. If you want silence, you need to ask for other numbers. In general, all the rooms here have a sea view.

The food is average. Probably because of the quarantine. There is no direct abundance. And the vegetables are quite sluggish and tasteless. But we, too, later realized that we had to take what they cook right here (immediately from the grill, etc.). This is always good. There is always fish and meat. So we are not complaining. Personally, everything suits us
From the restart, alacart is the most delicious Moroccan. Italian - waited a long time. But not bad either.

As for alcohol, they took their rum to duty-free in advance (they knew that there was a problem with strong drinks). There is always Pepsi in the minibar for free. And in bars - cocktails like mojitos or gintonica are generally excellent.

The staff is mostly very friendly and smiling.

By sea - enter through the "puddle" (lagoon). And then swim into the open sea through the channel for ships. Or you need to walk on corals. We were also ok. But not everyone wants to go that way. Therefore, there were probably not many people on the beaches.

Dive center (one of the most important for us) - I do not recommend it. Maybe after the quarantine they are like this ... But the sales department are trying to get it done at every step. In other hotels this has not happened before. Master / Instructor - Norm. One-time dive - yes. Professional training - it's better not to go here.

I am delighted with this hotel, the design is top notch, the beach is rocky and there is more than one entrance to the lagoon. Three pools, the food is delicious, there is not a lot of choice, but enough, fish, veal, chicken. Personally, I'm happy.

Nice rooms and a beautiful view, there is coral and thanks to this the fish are like in Sharm.
The hotel is in a windy bay, be prepared for the waves.
Cons: food is very poor; the beaches are good, but the entry into the sea is disgusting. If you want to swim, you have to swim behind the buoys.

The hotel area is very big.
The cleanliness in the entire area is commendable.
The rooms are twice as large compared to other hotels near Hurghada and all have direct sea views.

Very nice. Only men with knee-jerked pants are not allowed in the restaurants, but people with long-worn jogging pants and dirty t-shirts.
A very strong shortcoming.

The facility is a dream, the service, however, a nightmare. The sea should be entered only with bathing shoes. The lagoon is gorgeous but a bit slippery at the entrance. At the moment, this hotel is a big construction site and for the next months not suitable for a holiday.

Unfortunately the food is not satisfactory.
And the toilet paper is nowhere near worth 5 stars.

Check-in was quick and smooth. The staff is very friendly and competent. A change through different and now renovated restaurants is possible at any time. Operation, management and kitchen made everything possible for a rare special diet. Compared to many years before, the system has been renovated in some areas. The reef is colorful and lively, ideal for snorkeling. I wish you luck for the CAF Awards 2019 in a few days.

This is not the first time in Egypt. The hotel is very large but absolutely not green. There is no sensible map of the territory, that is, the first couple of days you have to wander at random. Not knowing and not knowing where the pools, restaurants or bars are. When settling, they give an A4 sheet with a diagram, but it is black and white and very conditional.
The sea is a huge disappointment. Dead reefs, sparse marine life. There are no pontoons for deep entry or diving at all. One small bay with a width of 20 meters and an approach range of the same 20 meters. And when 50 people come to this bay, it turns out just a crowded puddle. There is also a lagoon with supposedly tiles at the bottom. But there is insanely slippery and there are more chances to fall and twist your leg or arm than you need to. About a dozen small beaches throughout the coastal zone, but they are all with disgusting entry into the sea (small and stone with a dead reef), even in slippers, it's dangerous.
There are several pools, the water does not give off bleach and is quite clean.
Bary- well, this is a complete fiasco. Not all beer / juices are available. And when contacting or just asking to pour the juice, without any apology or customer focus. The staff can stupidly nod in the direction with the phrase - go there! There are no snacks by the pools or the sea at all. That is, if you do not go to a restaurant for lunch, you will remain hungry.
The staff at the reception and the service are great (not for the drinkers in the bars) are always smiling and happy to help with any request.
The food is very like that. Yes, you will not be hungry, but you will not eat very tasty either. The "sprinklers" in the restaurant are thrown from a spoon onto a plate (like in the army) stupidly a blunder and do not care that you are clean.

Hotel is beautiful, beach is VERY shallow (under knee deep)! It's made of a coral reef which ends in ambis The reef itself is beautiful, but you can't really swim there unless you are willing to go at the end of the reef where the waves are relentless. The fish are beautiful The staff is awesome! The only bad thing which shouldn't ever happen is the food poisoning! I gave it 2 stars only because of the staff which was amazing! No one wants to spend their vacation suffering in pain and discomfort of food poisoning.

we ll be here for 5 days, but now I can say - I like everything - from the ambiente in the corals to the kitchen. Wireless internet is everywhere - it's useful. There are different options for swimming opportunities. DJ Twister with a team of animators work perfectly, there are programs for children, etc.

Service is limited. Food is ok, but the choice could be bigger. On the beach too few bars. The first few days there was a wait of up to 30 minutes before being in the dining room. Unfriendly staff, the rooms are dirty and worn only the food is ok from time to time. In addition, more than 10 times a day the staff with any shows to talk. Not recommendable especially with parents the children have since my child often sick with the hygiene and the food.
The staff also needs a very long time to meet the needs and it is very difficult to smile. The area is very large and also to look out of the window directly on the red sea to look at but every other hotel next to it. I was in a much worse rated hotel with 3.7 stars and it was equal and the staff was even friendlier, but that is probably because they are underpaid, as a staff member confessed to me but well courtesy should still be learned. As soon as you enter the hotel lobby, your eyes get an orgasm . A stunning red sea and a well-organized beach, coves, pier, hotel coloring, there are no words. We arrived in the morning at 9. We settled at 10 at no extra cost and hints with a friendly smile and frank hospitality. We listened to our wishes !!!! The room is excellent, made in the colorful style of the hotel (stone), clean with all the stated promises of room fullness. The length of the hotel is incredibly large, for the lazy without a break, the bus runs through the territory of Taf-Taf; The sea is right next to the reef, corals, fish, for non-lovers they thought it over and organized the coves where there is complete calm and grace. 1. The scenery of the hotel is amazing where you see the red sea from every spot of the hotel

2. the staff are very helpful and cheerful

3. the breakfast is tasty, huge variet and the view from the breakfast hall is superb!

4. the beach is lovely although full of rocks you will find ur way to the deep waters and do some snorkeling - rich marine life

5. the bars and towel centers are every where

6. mozart caffee offers coffee and different pastries and desserts - that moment when u enter you will smell the best smell of coffe

Dislikes :

1. the dinner and lunch need some improvements in terms of Variety and quality (unlike the breakfast which is perfect)

2. The mian lobby is not air-condition - it becomes really hot in warm days

3. The food quality in a-la-cart restaurant is poor - the main restaurant is better (especially the Italian it took them 1 hour to get me a very small piece of filley di manzo)

i would definitely go there again

Note: try to get a room in building 3 - its in the center from the beach /pool/ restaurants.
