Awesome zoo. If you like zoos it's one you need to go to.
Good zoo. Clean enough. Staff is reasonably well informed of animal's and show's status. Animals are obviously more or less active at different seasons and times of day. On my trip it was the cats that were the most active. Some of the enclosures felt a little small for the size of the animals and it makes you feel bad. Giraffe feeding is obviously the highlight of the zoo and is right by the entrance so it puts you in a good mood for the rest of the zoo, but the rest is pretty average. I did not attend any special shows or guided tours. If I had I may have bumped my review up to a five, but me and my family's personal experience was about a four.
Incredible. Never been so close to animals, their array is amazing and the views over the valley are killer
I love how interactive everything is. Very well maintained. The size makes the whole visit feel like an adventure. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great place for a family day. Don't miss the bears or giraffes.
By far one of the most fun zoo experiences I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The staff are super friendly, the animals are adorable, and it looks like the staff care deeply about the animals.
The giraffe feeding was awesome, my two year old loved it!
Spectacular Vistas, great exhibits. Take your family.
Mountain side zoo with amazing views and a lot to do for the family. Get ready for walking up inclines but definitely a top 5 zoo.
Wonderful place to go with family or loved ones alot of different new things to see even a beautiful view over Colorado springs
Most beautiful high altitude zoo with awesome views of Colorado Springs. It has a bunch of animal enclosures that have been built since the last time we visited 2 years ago.
Nice zoo! You can feed giraffes, rhinos etc. and touch them. You can carry your own food/drinks and there are several cafe/restaurants as well... note that some of em don t allow outside food. This place also has a lot of water fountains in case you don t wanna buy $3.25 water bottle.
This is a great zoo nestled in the mountain side in Cheyenne in the Springs. Nice selection of animals in their own habitat created for them. There are some new additions with the Rhino area and the baby giraffe born recently. Must visit if you're in the vicinity.
This is a great experience. Focused more on education and conservation. Check out the chair lift over the zoo and the interaction opportunities like the giraffes and wallabies!
My first trip to Colorado and we went to Colorado springs and the zoo and what a wonderful time
Amazing place for everyone. Spectacular views, friendly staff.
Such a cool zoo on the side of the mountain! Some very cool attractions like feeding the giraffes and walking amongst the wallabies
Great zoo experience, good exhibits and layout, good food options
Best zoo I've ever been to! Beautifully maintained. Amazing habitats. Every employee we encountered or spoke with was very helpful and kind.
We had lunch at the Grizzly Grill. They have vegetarian and vegan options.
Bring cash and feed the giraffes, elephants, rhino, chickens, goats and more!! So.much.fun!!!
This was the best zoo experience in my life!! The zoo being in the mountains provides an up close jaw dropping experience. I feed an elephant and a giraffe. Giraffes have LONG creepy tounges fyi. The views from ontop of the SkyRide are well worth it for 1st time visitors. They have a rock wall at the top you can climb that was fun to do. Check the feeding times before going to maximize your visit. If you enjoy the zoo experience this is a buck list zoo to visit!!
You get to feed the giraffes. They have talks about the animals to let you know about them. If you don't want to walk up and the mountain side they have shuttles. There is several eating places. A place for xhildren to play. Fun for the whole family.
Great zoo with tons of engaging exhibits for kids and families
A must see, beautiful views of mountains as you feed the giraffes
The setup of this zoo is very unique and stunning. The animals actually looked healthy and weren t pacing in circles, so that s a feat in my opinion. The price of admission is reasonable for the size/number of animal exhibits.
Best zoo I have been to and the only mountain zoo in the United States! Family of four cost $70, but I feel it was well worth it. Bring the walking shoes and water bottles.
Coolest zoo I've been to in a while. It was such an amazing experience to see our toddler's face light up around all the animals. The giraffes were definitely a favorite, as well as the monkeys and orangutans. Definitely worth a second trip!
Awesome zoo, I've been to the denver zoo several times and stayed far longer and enjoyed this zoo far more. It's well layed out and the staff is far more informative and helpful. Hope to return
Very clean use the senior discount and you will do alot of walking up hill but very clean and bring the kids and alot of change dollars.
Love this zoo on the mountains. Take my family and friends when they come to visit.
Love this zoo! They have great kid camps and field trips, too!
This is a great interactive Zoo experience. I have been to Zoo's all over the country and I loved this one.
They allow alot of up close and personal interaction with lots of wild animals you normally wouldn't have access to
Was a fun place to take the kids. They loved it. We are from Texas and this was definitely different than what we re used to.
WoW! The animals and exhibits were most Beautiful and engaging. This was so much fun. Definitely a must go for families and anyone who wants to be submerged in nature, animals, and breathtaking views of the city. I cant wait to see what's coming soon, as they are continuing to improve and expand the exhibits and grounds.
Fantastic zoo. Built on hillside of the Cheyene Mountains outside of Colorado Springs. Some of the areas were closed for repairs but the rest was well worth the entry fee. Favorite stop was the bugee bungalow full of beautiful birds that fly all around you. Lions, bears, rhinos, otters, even meerkats, and so many more. Have your walking shoes on!!! Will definitely go back
Lots under reconstruction right now. Looking forward to the end result.
Great experience and a good work out with a stroller too!
This was such an amazing place to Go! We loved feeding the giraffesaa
Always a fantastic place to go. My kids never get tired of it. It's always changing there's always something new. There's always a new conservation project to learn about or a new animal or a new exhibit. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and you can tell if the animals are of the utmost importance. It's truly a joy to go. And a joy to live in the community.
Very nice animals and there was a lot of variety, but there where a couple of animals I had questions for and there wasn't any one to ask.
Boo at the zoo was great! We love Cheyenne Mountain zoo. Even though we have been members since 2015, this is the first time we have gone to Boo at the zoo. Will definitely go again next year.
Great day no complaints all the animals were active, beautiful
Such a great zoo! They had all sorts of animals to watch and sometimes even interact with. The skylift was awesome here!
Been a long time member at this zoo...
Every time we go, it s like a new special experience in one way or another!! Sometimes it is watching them feed the tiger (WOW!!!), sometimes, you get lucky to catch a literal cat fight between the leopards (no lie- we were so lucky. Probably the first and last time ever!!!), sometimes they are in the middle of feeding those mammoth hippos (for real?!?! Craziness!! Huge teeth my toddler always talk about...)...
This zoo is incredible. Truly not enough time to rave the fantastic experiences...
One of the best zoo we have ever visited worldwide!
A great zoo to visit! A large variety of animals to see!
Lots of walking and worth every step. $20 for lots of fun!
Their focus on conservation is amazing. Their prices are worth it for the experience that you get. You can pay to feed the giraffes and other animals too, on certain days. If you time it right you can go all around the zoo and they have different "shows" that the zookeepers put on to help educate about the animals and conservation efforts. They do a wonderful job of providing plenty of space for animals. I am very excited for the new hippo and penguin building that will open in June 2019. Love this zoo! Very family friendly!
Very nice atmosphere. Points down because the chairlift line is not reasonable. Even after people waited 30+ minutes they were still only filling every other chair. Bird feeding was fun, wolves could not be seen. Even with the cameras.
Great place to take the family. Definitely a workout, walking those hills. Just don't like the fact that members have to go later in the day now. I'd much rather go in the morning before it gets too hot, or weather gets crazy, with the evening thunderstorms. My car got totaled in the last big hail storm there... Wasn't a great experience..
Huge zoo with tons to experience! The animals are well cared for and have tons of enrichment options. There is a wide variety of animals, while less than the Denver Zoo, the crowds seem smaller and it feels more personal. The zookeepers, on slow days, may even ask if you want a tour or for anything specific. They talked to us directly during the wolf feeding and answered all of our questions and even guided us through some of the other exhibits. By far my favorite zoo with the zookeeper always trying to make the experience better. The exhibits are nice as well, not just dirt, and you can see both indoor and outdoor exhibits for most animals, not just one or the other.
Do you guys have any room for points my uncle, looking for a job.
Amazing place to visit and take the kids to good workout to
The most interactive zoo experience ever. My family loved feeding the giraffes, the chickens, and the goats. So many things for your family to do. Included with the zoo admission is admission to the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun.
A wonderful family experience all around. Restrooms are equipped with changing stations and there's a variety of food and drinks available. Souvenirs aren't overpriced either.
One of the best zoos we've visited. Great interaction w the animals.
Really nice zoo that humanely treats their animals. Staff definitely care about cleanliness and educating their customers. Overall great experience!
I just love animals and this zoo is pretty good. Lots of steep hills to walk tho
This place was pretty good, and actually better than I expected. Enjoyed feeding the giraffes and good variety of animals and enclosures. Nice landscaping as well. Take the skyway in the beginning, it was closed by the time we got there due to rain. I took off 1 point for not having a children's playground that was very engaging. Every other zoo I have been too was better in this regard.
This is the best place to bring your family for some awesome summer fun, the staff are so nice, and the view is amazing.
Really great place, lots of animals and other things for kids. Took my neice and she loved it.
Conservation focused zoo that still gives you great views of the animals.
Absolutely wonderful!! From feeding giraffes and elephants to watching a big cat perform tricks to grumbling grizzlies, we had such an exciting day! There is a little construction happening right now, and the zoo put up information about the equipment being used as if they were part of the display- very cute and creative! Can't wait to go again!!
Well organized and clean zoo with a good variety of animals - all on the side of a mountain :)
